Oh God I just had a horrible thought!!

I'm playing the "Uncle's Bad Day" mission and Charles was saying that stuff about it might be better to stop the pain. Just the way he said it made me wonder what if when Charles found Arthur he either wasn't completely dead or Charles found evidence he was up there for a few days before dying. Just the sheer guilt of not finding him sooner and Arthur having to suffer like that especially when Charles during the hunting missions wants to make sure the animals don't suffer. Maybe it wasn't just knowing that Uncle was gonna bitch about it forever if he survived, maybe it was what he wished he could have done for Arthur. He didn't want to have to watch another person he cared about suffering when this time he could do something sooner.
