Haven't seen this posted anywhere, but while browsing IG I came across someone who posted exclusive CEI footage of the Fatz and Mama Grandbags animatronics stationed outside of the BCJ at Morey's Piers! This is the only known footage of these guys there so it's really cool to see them in action! Credit goes to conceptcheeseent on IG. Remember! Don't tell Aaron!

Edit: Here's some more I dug up while looking around. It only shows him deactivated and the outside of the weirdly empty boardwalk but still interesting none the less!

Rewatching Devdas

I feel like I can never say enough about this movie. Every time I watch it I find something new to admire. I am always stunned by the aesthetic of it. Every choice feels deliberate, the sets, the costumes, the use of color - every frame like a painting. The editing is tight. I love Bollywood movies, but you could cut 40 minutes out of most of them without impacting the story, and that's not true of Devdas. The choreography is insanely good. It's quite simply a cinematic masterpiece.

Shah Rukh Khan's performance as the tragically doomed Devdas is worth the price of admission alone, but the rest of the cast are also at the top of their game. Aishwarya Rai is so ethereal it makes each emotional blow she suffers hit even harder. Madhuri Dixit, Kirron Kher & Jackie Shroff all give standout performances; I appreciate them more with every watch.

This movie is like a college course in visual storytelling. The images linger in the mind - Paro's futile dash for the gate at the end, the wedding procession and, my particular favorite...

Morey Piya

Ah, this scene! In my opinion, one of the hottest ever put on film. And shot in a way that leaves you wondering if it's all a dream. While it leaves the viewer with no doubt about what's going on, it does it all through suggestion. I love the way Bollywood elevated this into almost an art form. I far prefer it to the Hollywood version, which always shows rather than tells. Letting the audience use their imagination is practically unheard of in movies today.

This scene also showcases the qualities that make Shah Rukh a star. HIs magnetism, the gentle playfulness, and also his strength and that danger that lurks just under the surface. You see it all here. I don't know if I've ever wanted to be a character in a movie as much as I want to be Aishwarya Rai in this scene.

My personal Top 5 Shah Rukh Khan movies is always evolving, but every time I watch this one it moves up a notch. Even the tragic ending is gradually growing on me. The way Paro reacts, after having apparently moved on and accepted her fate, completely going to pieces when she learns the love of her life is breathing his last at her door.

If you haven't seen this movie, stop what you are doing and go watch it now. And if you've seen it, watch it again. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Mason Hewitt

Mason might not have become Champion but he was never in anyone’s shadow. It was widely known that if it weren’t for his navigational skill and constant sparring, Liam Dunbar would’ve been lost and defeated before he even made it to Turrfield. Mason and his Starimie kept all of his rivals on their toes, from Postwick to Wyndon, and he was the only of his rivals who defeated each gym leader on the first try.

Lydia Martin was so impressed with his skill that she gave him her Krabby after his victory in Hulbury. The next time the two of them met up for tea, Mason had evovled Krabby into Kingler and used him to win badges in Motostoke and Stow-on-Side.

While he didn’t defeat Scott McCall, Mason ended his journey with a boyfriend, hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize money, three different offers to lead gyms across the region, and memories of an adventure like no other. But Mason had enough of adventure and battle for the moment. The day after his best friend was crowned the new Champion, Mason returned to Wedgehurst with Corey, getting a job at the research lab and starting his journey to becoming a Pokémon professor.

I will update you! I've been missing for a while because I've been writing a THIAM/MOREY + NOLAN; this Thiam is a bit complicated: it's an On The Road; the chapters only average 20k long and the total number of chapters will be a good 20 with a total of 400k words. The bad thing as I write this is that in writing the summary and the structure of the story at the end, I also thought about its ending. The problem itself lies in the ending! I have already thought about it and it does not fit into the writing of the story structure at all! I feel like crying, but it's too good to pass up! Any advice? I will keep writing this story and hope that I can get it to Ao3 in 2025 (My writing style is to write all the chapters first and then publish so that I don't have to revise previous published chapters due to possible post edits)
