Ma and Pa would be delighted with Bart and their hearts would be at ease with him. It's never easy to be with a Super, loving them is easy yes, but dealing with the the dangers and complexities associated with them is something else entirely.

But seeing the way both Kon and Bart glow around each other as they celebrate each other's weirdness brings them joy. And they keep the pride stuff out a lot longer.

as much as i enjoy the thought of kon immediately taking on fatherhood and confessing his feelings to tim in timkon clone baby aus, i can't help but think about all the potential for a slowburn that we can have, such as:

— making a deep dive into kon's view of the situation, exploring his clone feeling about himself, exploring his feelings about clark in particular — because their relationship is very interesting and complicated on it's own, and the biggest tragedy of it, in my opinion, is that kon was never clark's responsibility, in fact there was never a single adult person that had to take care of kon because kon initially never belonged to anyone. he's no one's child, no one's son, and us much as we might want to blame clark or, you know, any adult in his life for not taking care of him and protecting him, they had their right not to do it. someone should have had care, but also no one was obligated to. i really hope i make sense, what I'm trying to convey is that you really can't blame anyone for kon being unsupervised for most of his life no matter how much you might want too (aside from lex luther and cadmus itself ofc, but that would be a slightly different conversion); and kon knows that himself, has known that for a while, but the moment he's confronted by his own clone child it adds so much more perspective, and the conflict of once (still) being a child that no one wanted while simultaneously being introduced to a child that you don't have to want but if not you no one else will (tim will, but tim's also a slightly different conversation) would be so interesting and delicious;

— LOTS of awkward co-parenting from two teen-dads who might or might not be head over heels for each other but also not really having time to explore their relationship and their feelings bc they have a whole ass child to raise; not to mention kon's conflicted clone boy feelings and tim's haunting guilt that affect every single interaction of theirs. just imagine the pressure, the slowburn, the ust. imagine them knowing about each other feelings, but also knowing that it's not the right time — there might never be the right time anymore, not after what tim has done. imagine them negotiating visiting hours and weekends like they're some divorced couple. imagine them swinging their child between them on a walk home, imagine kon showing up early at tim's penthouse with fresh ingredients from the farm to make healthy breakfast, imagine tim dosing off on kon's shoulder while watching old disney movies with their kid right there on the carpet in front of a tv; playing house, but knowing damn well that they are not together. that they might never be together;

— clone baby getting used to this strange family dynamic that they have — knowing that kon is their other dad, but never ever calling him that (they have no memory of calling him pa! when they were much younger, no memory of kon crying and kissing their forehead right after; no memory of tim becoming really pale and then gently teaching them that kon is not pa, or papa, or dad, he is just kon, only even just kon); knowing that daddy loves kon, but for some reason that's something that they never talk about, and the kid is too afraid to ask because he knows that he'll hurt his dad if he does. fighting with tim and then crying because they want their other dad, but tim tells not to bother kon, as if kon might secretly hate them, and then hearing tim and kon having a fight from upstairs, stop acting like I'm going to flee any second, it's been literal years, when are you going to believe me when i say that i LOVE our child;

— tim trying his best to be a good parent and co-parent but still screwing up anyways because he's too trapped in his own guilt and insecurities; accidentally hurting both kon and their child by not wanting to hurt them, trying to distance them from each other when things are starting to get good, because they are not supposed to be good, tim does not deserve things to be good. shying away from kon's most innocent touches, refusing his child traditional summer vacation on kent's farm because he can feel his baby starting to prefer kon over him, and that's something that he doesn't know what to do with, all he knows is that he can't lose his baby not even to the love of his life. fighting with kon a lot, going they are MINE, stop pretending that you want them or care for them just to take them away from me, they are the only thing in the world that i love more than you;

— and then finally sorting things out after years, confessing their feelings, talking about every single insecurity that they both had about this situation; holding hands across kitchen table after crying their eyes out, and deciding to try it. restoring the friendship they almost lost somewhere along the way while trying to be a good parents for their baby — exchanging text that are not just visiting hours negotiations, awkwardly flirting like they are teenagers again, brushing each other shoulders and hands and sitting a little too close on a couch; getting to go on dates, getting to feel giddy and young about each other again, falling in bed together and getting to wake up from a sound of their kid destroying the kitchen, our child is hungry by the way, we should probably start getting out of bed. our child? yeah. our child.

idk man i just love the potential and complexity of it all. so many things to do with au, it really is an endless sandbox to play in

The greenhouse had plenty to do in it, for the four hours a day the refugees could sit in it without adverse reactions. Plenty of plants they hadn't seen before, plenty of plants they had. Food larger than even back home on Krypton, growing freely to take and eat whenever one of them had enough energy to reach out and grab them. The large windows shows a barren landscape of nothingness, of blinding white and snow that reminds Bru exactly of Kandor, back when Kandor still existed.

They were brought things, while they rested in the greenhouse, to keep them warm. Fluffy strange towels used to wash off the water that they were allowed to bask in- water abundant and clear and overflowing, circulating constantly, filled to the brim unlike anything Bru had seen before. Little strange things that gave off heat to warm their bones, chords coming off of them leading away into the main chamber, brightly colored and strange. Plush chairs to rest on, shade to hide away under when they started to get dizzy.

Daym was already asleep, snoring gently as he drifted. Te normally floated around, bouncing slowly off the sides of the water enclosure, but Jae, Dic, and Bru, towards the end of their time in the greenhouse, usually just talked.

Today, like most days, the topic was of their generous hosts, the members of the noble house of El.

"-I heard that Kon-El was a clone of Kal-El." Dic whispers to them, wrapped up in a thick bundle of fabrics and with his feet towards the little portable heat source. "Can you believe it?" Bru can, he watches them both, a bit farther away and talking in that strange, disjointed language they do. They look remarkably similar, more similar than Bru and Dyam do, even, it's not unusual for a leading political or scientific figure to be cloned to continue on their work after the original has passed. A little odd to have them be so close in age, of course, but if Kal-El really does have a whole, living breathing clone, so vividly well done, then this world truly is a paradise.

Clark and Kon have their canon, comic relationship of being strange Brother-Uncle-Nephew-Cousin things, and are relatively friendly with each other. As for the cloning, we're saying that it's not unusual on Krypton (because they're all pod people) for important figures to be cloned over and over again to continue on their work. (Similar to if we just continued to clone FDR and elect him president every four years.)

Heeey, apologies for this taking a long while, but I was able to get to it now! Your patience was really appreciated, friend!!

1. How did it happen?

Hmmm, I just made this up on the spot lol, but some lost hikers found a hidden Lazarus pit that was strangely tampered with somehow and looked unusually dark as result, but they drank some of it out of desperate thirst. They were later discovered and saved by rescuers that were called, but the two hikers felt sick. Once arriving to Gotham much later, they turned into zombies, bit into the rescuers, and spreaded the infection to everyone around, causing chaos (I'll probably be changing this or put more thought into it though lol)

2. Is there special zombies like from video games like dying light or left 4 dead or just regular zombies like the walking dead?

Yeah, they're all like the regular ones from twd, some of them can run though, but there are also two other very different groups too aside from those mainly average ones

First one is "Spit Bombers". They have the ability to spit out black venomous, burning vomit at survivors and from far distances too. If a survivor wasn't too severely harmed by the attack and successfully got away, the result of the vomit can turn people's skin green instead of red from the burning damage, and not because it's just a fitting strange symptom, but because it also means the zombie infection has been transferred from the vomit and made it's way into the skin with the burns help. Survivors with enough experience know to avoid these guys, be careful to dodge them in all ways when forced with confrontation anyways, and have learned how to identify them separately from the rest by now too. The clues that give it away are their completely black eyes and the leaking venom pouring from their mouths

And then there's the most dangerous ones out of them both, who go by "Dead Maulers". These guys are VERY different in comparison to the rest, being much larger and terrifingly animalistic, unlike a normal zombie. Thanks to their strangely now formed bodies, they are very fast on their feet, which makes it really easy for them to grab and drag their targets, have the ability to jump high, and crack a lot of bones in their bodies at the most randomest times in odd, freaky ways. They love screaming very loud too and it can actually hurt survivors ears when too close. The only good thing about these guys is that they're pretty rare to see around most places

3. Is it like DCeased but everyone lost their powers somehow or is things different in your au? Like Jon Kent is a regular human who meets Damian Wayne later on?

Nah, everyones just a normal human lol, and always have been from the start too. None of them were ever heroes either. I felt like if I would've let them kept their powers, it would've just made things a little too easy for them while surviving and would've also felt too much like it was just DCeased all over again, since that whole series is already about super powered heroes dealing with an apocalypse. I wanted them to actually have that struggling survivor feel just like how tlou and walking dead characters do and have it be more of it's own thing that way

If you mean like if they get along really well with eachother as siblings and aren't actually the type who get super annoyed and fight with one another all the time like the Batbros for example lol, then yeah, I'd say it's the same as his :)

Jon, being the youngest one, looks up to both Kon and Chris a lot and thinks they're the most awesome brothers that he has and loves them a lot

Chris, who was so used to being the only child for most of his life and felt really lonely from it, finds great comfort in both of his brothers and appreciates them so much and is grateful that out of all people, he got to have them both as his siblings

Kon, the oldest one out of the three of them, is the one that is like the role model to his younger bros (besides their other ones) and definitely a very cool one as well of course loll, so he takes his "Cool guy" reputation more seriously when around them lol. He also loves them to bits, will do anything for them, will always have their backs and defend them without hesitation, and will always be sure to tease them about lots of things lmaooo (the most important part of the eldest sibling job ofc lol😂). Sometimes Jon and Chris will also go to him for some trusted brotherly advice too if they feel Clark and Lois can't give it to them well, which he always gladly offers, feeling happy to know they chose him for whatever it is

2. Are Damian and Jon a thing and what's their first date like?

EEEEEEE!!! YES! They are definitely a thing in my universe! (I love them so much, they're my otp💕)

And about their first date, there are actually a lot of ideas I have for how it would go lol, but here's one of my faves (I also two other faves too if you'd wanna hear them)

The day before, Jon had finally confessed his feelings to Damian at school in lunchtime, which he embarrassingly blurted out at him instead of using the one he had originally written down and decided on with Kara and Kon's help at home the day before lol. Damian made him afraid he had messed up right there with his shocked and very silent reaction, but thankfully for him, he reciprocated the same feelings after long enough of intense waiting

For the date, finally, the boys met up in front of the Metropolis zoo, which had recently gotten new fun additional areas added to it, so Jon thought Damian would love it. What they didn't know though was that Jake and Chris secretly came along too to spy on them both because they nosey like that lmao. Anyways, during the day Damian and Jon were enjoying themselves, having fun together like they usually do, but also had plenty of wonderful awkward moments between them lol, Jon brought up animal facts whenever he could just to impress Damian (he stayed up late researching about as many as he could for it), Chris and Jake sneakily snuck around them at certain times, giggling to themselves while watching and listening (Chris using his superhearing and telling Jake everything), Jon ended up getting his glasses taken away at some point by some monkey when standing too close to their cage and Damian laughed his ass off, while watching him struggle to get it back and using the hood of his hoodie to cover up his eyes from people, but he eventually helped him get it back very easily lol

Jon was SO happy and after school, he flew back home in tons of energetic swirls and spins, thinking about what they'll be doing later that day. He ran inside the Kent home excitedly yelling "HE SAID YES!!" Making everyone jump and giving Kon and Kara immediate smiles. He broke open his piggy bank as soon as he got upstairs, counting everything he had, because Damian always paid for everything whenever they regularly hung out, so he wanted to make it extra special by doing it himself instead this time. He was SO excited that he couldn't even sleep later that night and ate up his dinner too fast. The next day, the day of the date, which was a Saturday, Kon helped him dress up, but then he over did it with a bad boy look and Clark had to stop him before he kept going, reminding Jon to be comfortable lmao

Meanwhile, Stephanie and Alfred kept butting their way into helping Damian get ready even though he didn't actually really want them to lmao, but he ended taking some of their suggestions anyways, since some choices did look good on him mixed together. And his siblings totally teased him when finding out what he was gonna be doing for the day loll, and he had to keep telling them off, but they didn't care lolll

And then much later, due to one of the employees forgetting to lock their area properly not too long ago, a chaotic horde full of rabbits suddenly broke out, scaring almost everyone out of the place, which made all the boys have to suit up, catch them all, and return them back to where they belonged. Both of them ofc bumped into eachother though, and Damian and Jon were immediately so sure that they had came to spy on them before this, because it was too coincidental that they were also there at the same time, so they were both pretty annoyed and upset lol, but Chris and Jake nervously laughed it off while telling them to chill and that they should put all this energy into what's happening rn instead (they were just trying not to catch any hands from them honestly lmao💀), so they had to work like a team. When the four of them were finally done with their heroic task, as a reward, Damian ended up getting to keep a special young bunny who didn't want to separate from him after sitting on his head the entire time, and Damian happily took him. On the way out back in their civilian forms now that the Zoo was closing with all the mess that was made by the rabbit crowd, Jake and Chris were able to (safely) stick around now lol and their respective Uncle and Brother thankfully got to calm down a little better after earlier. Damian also let Jon name the bunny and he picked "Louis". It reminded Damian of a historical figure (I'm probably getting that detail wrong tho, because I actually can't remember it too well lol) and he liked it, so it was kept

Later on, they all went to the arcade together and they took lots of memorable fun, silly, cute photos together whenever they were all interacting (Chris and Jake sent them all to their family and friend group chats haha), they ran around the place with energy (Chris and Jake laughed with eachother whenever Jon was dragging Damian around by the arm/hand with no mercy), Damian and Jon were as competitive as possible with eachother in whatever game they tried out together, and it was all just awesome. A little while later, fully realizing that they were stuck with Jake and Chris on their own date, Damian and Jon made them both keep their word to start not getting in the way so much now so that it can keep staying a date, which they promised, but they didn't promise no annoying teasing though, so they started getting a ton of that from them no matter what lolll, just making things intentionally feel even more awkward for their respective Uncle and Brother

Jon also began hustling with the games around after making it his goal to try and get Damian the biggest prize he could at the counter with all the tickets he could gather, but then Damian ended up surprising him first with a big Peter!Spidey plushie, which he loved! Jon wasn't able to get enough tickets like he had hoped, but it was a pretty decent amount though, so he got Damian an average sized, cute Cheese viking plush, which he definitely did like a lot, despite acting like he was too old for toys lol, but Jon could see he appreciated it

Afterwards, Chris and Jake were so distracted at this point and stayed stuck at the arcade together, so Damian and Jon were finally left totally alone again and quickly went out to a diner that sold both the largest pizzas and bizzare, wild ice cream flavors known around Metropolis City. Jon proudly paid for whatever Damian wanted as his treat like he had planned, they both got to be goofy like themselves and comfortable again while eating, Jon later finished the whole pan of pizza pie he had ordered like nothing lol, while Damian only had one slice that got him full, which then created a ton of playful making fun of eachother about how the other ate, then they both went on a long walk together, eating their ice creams while it was turning night, which was kind of awkward for them since this was a date, but also kind of sweet. Eventually, Alfred came to pick Damian up, mentioned that he was supposed to call him, and after Damian said he was just occupied still, he then made a teasing comment about how he could definitely see that his hands were too "occupied" to do so lol (one was holding Jon's while the other had the ice cream), which embarrassed both him and Jon. While Damian was getting into the limo, Jon kissed him quickly on the cheek with courage before he left, making him obviously too surprised by that and causing him to rushingly tell Alfred to "STEP ON IT!" after giving Jon a very quick and nervous "BYE." With an extreme red face on him lmaooo (it was just too much to handle lol). Jon was left a little speechless by that sudden action, but also left happy, and flew back home, while dreamly thinking about the entire fun day he had with Damian, also leaving his brother and his friend behind since he had forgotten all about them lmaooo. He told Lois all about it once arriving back to the house and she thought it was all cute. Meanwhile, Damian stepped inside the Manor, and everyone looked right at him, making it known exactly what they were waiting for. Before they could even become annoying and ask any questions, he was immediately like "DON'T ASK ME ABOUT MY DAY." And ran upstairs to his room, locking his door once he was finally in it lolll

Oh! And Jon also cares a lot for Louis the bunny, so after all of this, him and Damian both share custody over him and take care of him very well together too! Louis also loves celery a lot instead of carrots

Superman sighs after a second. His thumbs press very slightly on Kon’s cheek, and then he lets go. “It looks like your fangs are impacted.”

Kon drops his head, shakes off the weird after touch feeling of Superman’s hands on his face.

Wait.

“Say that again.”

“Your fangs are a little impacted. The left one’s grown in lopsided,” Superman says. His brow’s furrowed again but in that way that means he’s thinking, not in the way that means he’s mad. “My left, your right, that is.”

“My... fangs.”

Superman nods, still thinking.

“Okay,” Kon says slowly, and feels the roof of his mouth again with his tongue, as if he hasn’t been constantly doing that the last two weeks. “My fangs?”

It comes out a little loud. Superman’s attention snaps back to him, the full spotlight of it. “Did I not…” He trails off, looks a little pained.

“Tell me about growing fangs?” Kon says, a little hysterically. This is possibly the best thing that has happened to him since the Justice League continued to allow Young Justice to exist.

Superman winces. “I guess not,” he says. “I’m sorry. I should have mentioned it.”

“But you don’t have fangs,” Kon says, brain still trying to wrap itself around the idea that extra teeth have been in his skull this whole time and he may be about to look twenty times cooler all the time.

Superman looks at him, head tilted again. “They’re retractable,” he says.

Okay. That makes sense. Out of every single superhero Kon has met thus far, Superman is probably the only one square enough to have fangs and not show them off. “And how do I un-retract them?” he asks. That has to be priority one.

“Well, they’re impacted right now. And they’re still growing in. So you don’t.”

This is pure Superman. First tell a guy he has fangs and then immediately say he has to be responsible about them. “Can we un-impact them?”

Superman nods, thinking. “There should be something about it in Kandor,” he mutters to himself, and then refocuses on Kon. “I need to do some research first, but yes.” Kon's maybe-not-so-subtly trying to look at his teeth while he talks. They seem disappointingly human looking. He’s about to make a comment when Superman - huh. Superman lets out a breath of air that on anyone else Kon would call a snort. “Still retracted,” he says.

This might be difficult. Kon gathers all his resources, and hits Clark with his widest eyed, pleading-est stare. “Can I see them? Please?”

Superman looks at him a moment, mouth twisted up into a smile at the corner. Then he drops his head down a little and moves his jaw and tongue in a strange kind of way. He swallows, and then smiles again, slowly opening up from his normal closed-mouth smile to a bared-teeth smile to a wide sort of awkward grimace.

Holy shit. His canines have been replaced with fangs. Twice the size of his other teeth. Superman opens his mouth wider, and Kon can faintly see the tips of his human looking canines just above his gum line, where they’ve retreated to make room for the fangs to slot in. It changes his whole face shape into something leaner, more dangerous, more alien.

Kon needs his teeth to be fixed ASAP. “Holy shit,” he says without thinking. “I mean. That’s so cool. Why the hell would you ever retract those?”

Superman’s eyebrow drifts up. His lips close over his weird grimace. Even with his mouth closed his face still looks strange - his jaw’s opened a bit, to make room for the huge fucking fangs. “I try not to scare people,” he says, and there’s a strange wry note in his voice that makes Kon think he maybe should back off. Still. Goddamn.

All things considered, I hope that MAWS season 3 is the season where they introduce the other big DC heroes, but at the same time, I have to wonder what the characters of Batman and Wonder Woman will be like.

Will we get an overdramatic loner emo Batsy for that current Pattinson Batman synergy, or are we going to get something closer to Conroy's Batman? Heck, with the tech-focused angle of MAWS, perhaps this would be an opportunity to try something closer to Rino Romano's portrayal in The Batman?

Will Diana be the ever-compassionate, wise yet pragmatic nigh-immortal warrior princess, or is she going to be little more than the primary vehicle for next season's relationship drama, her mere presence driving a wedge between Clark and Lois akin to early New 52 Wondy? I really fucking hope not. For a change, let Diana be into both Clark AND Lois. Let her rizz them BOTH up and let Lois be kinda into it.

Honestly I'd rather the trinity get their own respective shows in this style that introduces them in the framework of their own stories before they get slapped into Superman's story. And also I'm very wary about introducing Batman at all because DC has a problem of introducing Batman to a story and it immediately becoming A Batman Story (tm).

If they do end up introducing other heroes from the DC universe, I'd rather they pick characters in theme with the show's emphasis on space and technology--like Adam Strange, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, Captain Atom, or Cyborg. Or that they start bringing in Fourth World characters like Darkseid, Orion, Mister Miracle and Big Barda. Hell, they could bring in Kon-El or General Zod, too. They're only now establishing Lex as his own villain and not just someone clinging onto Waller, and they haven't even brought in Lobo yet!!! There's still plenty of Superman content to explore without shoehorning in an underdeveloped Trinity. Or they could bring in Booster Gold and/or the Legion of Superheroes for a time travel plot that's still focused on Supes. (A time-traveling Jon showing up à la Trunks, anyone?)

My really big concern here is the show has put all this energy into establishing Lois + Jimmy as Superman's team, and now with the new season they've expanded that to include Kara and Steel, and I don't want that to get chucked out the window just because they want to bring the Trinity in. Honestly the last thing I want is for Batman and Wonder Woman to show up like, "Out of the way, supporting cast! The real main characters are here!" If they're going to expand further into the DC universe, I want it to feel natural to THIS show, not just ticking off a mainstream fandom checklist.

A big part of what I love about Superman solo comics is their emphasis on the normal people surrounding Clark that he cares for and is inspired by, and they're usually the first to get elbowed out when he gets thrown into big crossover. I don't want that with MAWS. The show is literally called My Adventures with Superman, which implies its major baseline is that its from the perspective of the normal non-powered people closest to Superman (read: Lois and Jimmy). I don't want this show to breach that until Wonder Woman and Batman are established on their own.

Literally my best friend ever!!! Every time she shows up in a comic I point at her and smile!!! She’s the vigilante known as spoiler & batgirl & was a robin before getting fridged because of editorial mandate and misogyny she deserves so much better @_@. The m/m that some people hate her for is timkon; like they ARE very gay but people are genuinely insane about hating her instead of also realizing that she too is gay (insane amount of subtext w her bff cass). Basically she was Tim’s girlfriend for a long time on and off. People will literally call her abusive for no reason they’ll be like oh but she didn’t apologize for starting a gang war accidentally and faced no consequences for it :/ as if she wasn’t literally KILLED OFF BRUTALLY. And although hate is rarer for her nowadays from what I’ve seen she’s also a victim of Background Lesbian Syndrome. And also a victim of Woman Not Allowed To Have Ocmplex Feelings in the source material itself (tim is canonically bi now yay but like steph wasn’t allowed to have any complicated feelings at all at her on again off again ex breaking up with her for good???). Anyways she’s the light of my life.

Stephanie was first introduced in the 1994 Robin series as a side love interest for Robin, but when she turned out to be really popular she became the main love interest. Because of this, she was fully fleshed out as a vigilante calling herself Spoiler to try and take down her villainous father, the Cluemaster. She later grew a lot closer to other cast members, such as Batgirl and Oracle, to get herself a firmly established place among the bats. Then, she dies in a gang war after taking up the Robin mantle. Eventually, in 2009, she was brought back from the dead and took on the Batgirl mantle. Her and Robin get back together sometime around ~2010 and they are solidly together until 2021. Then, Robin breaks up with her off panel for zero reason in canon, only to date some really boring guy named Bernard. By fanon, she's often demonized and turned into an abuser to make either this ship, or a lot of other mlm ships happen. Either that or things are mysteriously set in the time she's dead despite characters who were not yet introduced until she returned appearing. strange.

Selina Kyle/Catwoman

She's a badass and a complex character. She's awesome regardless of her relationship with Batman. Still, she's often called a b*tch by the fandom and villainized for the sake of their m/m ship.

You should see the way she’s completely ignored in favor of people shipping Batman with the Riddler. You’d think she’s not in this movie at all from the fic / art some people make.

Literally has suffered more than Jesus, reduced to a sex object by so many writers and then completely discarded by fanon for the sake of Bruce’s so called boyfriends again and again even though she’s so much more than those most reductive portrayals. Robs the rich to give to herself. Definitely had a threesome with Harley and Ivy at least once. Too good to be bad, too bad to be good.

There's an old AU written here on Tumblr about Luthor being Tim's biological Father. Imagine Luthor encouraging Kon's incest kink. Of course the most perfect husband for his precious baby would be someone he made! It's not like Luthor can't help out in removing any faulty mutations that can arise in an embryo between two siblings. Their family would be unstoppable! Luthor was softer in that AU because of Tim's influence so he's not a major villain in this. He just likes to contradict Superman sometimes.

The JL gets a message from the watchtower that Luthor is there. They are met with Luthor and Kon. Luthor tells Superman to claim Kon as his kid so that Kon can marry his baby without people judging them. Superman is more mad that Luthor made a being from his DNA without his consent. Batman put a stop to that growing fight by asking why does Clark Kent/Superman need to be involved with his kid's marriage. Luthor braggingly replied that it's because Kon also has Luthor's own DNA. People would keep on digging on who got his approval to marry his tightly guarded treasure but no one would if they find out that Kon is the son of one of the people who likes to clash with him and then they could spin it as something like a Romeo/Juliet story with Superman/Clark Kent as the villain of course and he, the best father in the world being supportive. Everyone is horrified except Luthor and Kon, who had zoned out and had been listening to his little brother tease him. Kon can't wait for the wedding they've planned to happen in a few days.

i think i've read that series!! where tim is raised by luthor and kon comes into the picture later on!!! the part of the trope that grabs my attention though is something more like this other fic where lex may have been tim's bio father. it's basically a mama mia situation but i'm imagining a scenario where accidental incest happens with tim and kon 👀👀👀👀👀.

neither of them know that they're biological half brothers and are together and fully in love and luthor, of course, being luthor figures it out! of course he could be an ass about it, throw a wrench in and ruin it for them but...he's also finding out he has a son and maybe he's feeling a little sentimental. he's old now, not as young as he used to be and maybe it gets to him a little. for the longest time his feelings on kon el have been changing because at first he was just an experiment, a product, an investment. but like he said, age has made him strangely nostalgic. realizing that both his children have chosen one another doesn't horrify him or gross him out the way it would for most other people. then again most other people are idiots.

finding out they're planning on getting married, that the two of them have made plans to tie the knot if what gets him up. his children are getting married, he's allowed to be a little emotional. lex is a planner and he's not about to let wayne be heralded as the generous patron to fund the largest wedding gotham's ever seen. so...lex might pull out some old tricks. old "supes" isn't as sharp as he used to be and he despises luthor on principle enough to do the opposite of what he wants. so if luthor slips some...subliminal messaging to push him into fully claiming kon as his son well than that was alright.

it sure is a heck of a shock when every newspaper in metropolis aside runs the story of luthor finding out he had a son and was planning on reconnecting with the child. the look on wayne's face when luthor showed up on his front steps was almost enough to make luthor want to snap a picture of it.

of course there are tears shed, mainly because his children seem to think they can't be together anymore and luthor's support of their relationship doesn't seem to help. the real objector is tim.

kon seems to have little issue with it and is just comforting his brother. while it may be invasive for a parent, luthor does keep tabs on kon's activity and is very well aware about his mild obsession with incest porn. if anything this was a dream come true for him.

however that doesn't halt the fact that there is the tiniest bit of chaos surrounding the wedding and how half of wayne's runts think the wedding won't happen. which is perfect because it allows luthor to swoop in (having booked all possible venues out for months so wayne can't even get a decent place in time) as the the father of the bride here to perform a miracle when his children realize they love one another enough to overcome this hiccup.

dream 12/3/24

i was at a cinema for the premiere of a movie, it was some kind of special screening.

it was about a girl called 'jia' who was in love with a guy called 'mang'. he was a very average-looking skinny dude, and she was quite pretty. her family didnt approve of the relationship or something, and people were always gossiping about them wherever they went, but they didnt care because they were happy together.

then something happens to mang (hes in an accident or something and dies unexpectedly). jia is distraught and starts to lose her sanity. she meets a strange older woman (homeless?) who somehow knows things about her and hints that mangs death wasnt accidental.  the two start secretly working together to try and figure out what really happened to mang, and as they do they uncover more and more suspicious things. her family keep getting in the way, but youre not sure if its because they are part of it or if they are just concerned about her because of her clearly worsening mental health. its hinted that the strange woman is actually jia herself from the future, or else some kind of psychological projection (?) or something.

eventually the strange woman betrays her and her grief and paranoia spiral out of control. at the end its basically implied that neither the strange woman OR mang ever really existed, that it was all in her head and thats why they always got strange looks when they were out in public together and why her family was acting the way they were.

the clever thing is that the strange woman is actually there in the background of literally every scene even but you dont notice on your first viewing (i enjoyed the film so much i went back to rewatch it a second time) (in the dream ofcourse)

it was live action, but in terms of theme and stylisation it reminded me a lot of satoshi kons work.

anyway, i wrote this all up when it was a lot clearer in my mind but spacehey (where i typed it up first) went down LITERALLY as i was poasting it so this is a re-write and ive probably forgotten a lot of it by now.

great film though, even if it was just a dream.

If I was a writer of DC comics my first extremely important decision would be to give Bart his own solo again, confirm him as neurodivergent and lgbt and of course bring back meloni and (probably redeemed) Thad . Oh and make the flashfam Jewish but that’s just my own take : )

I would love to see Bart back in Manchester even if just for one issue just to see his old friends. I myself sort of waffle back and fourth if his old friends should be in the know of who he is outside of Carol. I lean strongly towards that Preston should have known, but Mike is something I am not sure. Helen was seriously dating Matt, Mike's father, so Mike was heading towards a nebulous position of step-brother or something else (Helen's relationship to Bart is as strange as Lois to Kon).

Having Meloni back would be exquisite as we don't know what happened to her after Earth-247 'vanished'... This could tie into a deeper story about that future and could even stretch into that future's LOSH who was last seen adrift in the multiverse. We also need Jenni and Gates back who decided to remain in Earth Prime (for a dumb reason thanks Geoff).

I'd like to see Meloni and Helen bond too... heck make them lovers. Make Helen's relationship to Bart even more weird. Make Max uncomfy.

Also, angst, but I'd like to know if Preston found out that Bart was Impulse due to his ID being leaked when he was killed.

We need more Jewish heroes and families, we could have Hal also come in during special issues and affirm that he too, is Jewish. Have a Justice League special where all the Jewish characters celebrate together and welcome everyone else just like any Christmas issue.

A+ the potential is limitless.

What's Millennium Actress?

Millennium Actress is a very exuberant, very strange, very good 2001 movie by the anime director Kon Satoshi. On paper it's a heavily composited and fictionalized biopic of the midcentury Japanese movie starlets Hara Setsuko and Takamine Hideko; in reality it's all that and more, because it dives deep into the relationship between the "actress"--the human person--and the "millennium"--the grand narrative sweep that she embodies, which is abstract, public-political, at least partially sacred rather than profane, and increasingly not limited to her film roles but present in her offscreen life as well. Swifties in general and Gaylors in particular should make a serious study of this movie, as should everyone else for that matter, because it is excellent.

Timothy was fully aware of what certain colors did to Kryptonians, but if Kon-El was thinking about this, that means he knew the risks and better understood their time limit, how much to use, where to place it, and what the limits were. If not.. “That will have to be a fantasy we plan, not one we can fall into like others. I have never humiliated someone sexually, so that is also something we should talk about a bit more often in passing to get me used to it so I can give you that sexual gratification without going too hard where I hurt your feelings. I have also never been humiliated sexually, so this is a completely new territory for me. I am open to exploring it as with most things, but so you know as we venture in, there are going to be a lot of questions first.” Hands continued to wander over his back, enjoying touching the man’s heated flesh everywhere. It was a strange feeling to know someone’s body and yet keep finding new things that one liked about it. “I know it is not romantic or thrilling to talk details, but it is safe. He missed Kon-El being in his head already, but it gave him a chance to think of his questions and being more verbal with this topic. It was an important one that would keep circling because when they had sex, Kon admitted to it being harder and faster, making him hurt. They had a lot more to talk about, but Timothy felt more informed about it. 

“Okay, my three questions, then we can get dressed and head home.” he said it so casually, without hesitation that they both considered it home. “What is one thing you would like to learn about? What bad habit of yours would you like to break and end? Tell me a relationship goal you have that is short-term for us.”

Kon smirked, thinking that was at least two questions already. He raised an eyebrow as Tim asked for more details. "Babe, you wanna wear the bunny outfit, I'm not gonna stop you." He laughed. "I probably called you out on something, tested you, y'know like I like to. You're reminding me whose in charge. The kryptonite is there to ensure I have no choice to obey. You know, humiliate me a little. But we both know, it's not really necessary - you say the right words, I'll come crawling. It just throws a little danger into the mix." Eyes lit up as Tim admitted he'd consider the idea. Kon had felt certain that his boyfriend would outright refuse, but maybe he didn't realise how much of an effect kryptonite could have. Just being near the rock was painful, and prolonged exposure had the ability to do much worse. He'd been chained up in green Kryptonite once before - not in the fun way - and he'd sworn he'd felt the life slipping out of him, one isotope at a time. By the time the others had found him, they'd had to carry him out and it had taken days for him to recuperate. But knowing Amanda Waller she had probably had him chained up just as long. The whole period was admittedly a bit of a blur. He tried to consider his boyfriend's question. "A little of both. It's hard to put into words, Tim." He tried anyway. "There's just something about having someone able to strip you bare and trust they'll stitch you back up afterwards. If I just wanted to feel helpless, I'd find a means to do so myself." Technically that had been three questions but Kon would honestly answer as many as Timothy chose to give. Except for one. He wouldn't answer the last one he'd asked him, pointedly, because he didn't want it to be their last interaction. If things ever changed, or he found himself in over his head again, well that would be his parting gift to him. One that he hoped would never come to pass.
