I cannot believe this fandom was so blindsided by the gay drama that we missed the obvious lore drop of Sedna hinting at the greater worldbuilding of Inuit Mythology implied at the end of the season with Niko and all the other afterlife folklore season 2 may explore

Friends with Benefits Nikprice, but it was never clearly negotiated and they just kinda fell into it over the years. Nik is desperately, achingly in love and John being John is just as passionate and fiery in the sack as he is in the field, and their friendship often blurs the line all over the show.
It's Nik PoV, so we can't see John's fear around intimacy - genuine intimacy where he has to open his heart, not simply use his arse and mouth well - and how he thinks that letting Nik in will only end in disaster and loss. Everyone leaves John Price, after all. He's doomed by the narrative.

Man, I lost it at the hay Lula doll. Not what I was expecting to see and certainly not what I was expecting to make me bawl in my bedroom like it's 2021 again.

Pro Hero/Doctor Chisaki who meets Toga and takes her under his wing and she works as his assistant/apprentice as Chisaki did with Recovery Girl and everything’s okay and happy.
This AU would also feature my weird headcanon that Chisaki has abnormally sharp teeth for seemingly no reason. When Toga meets him, it’s the first time she ever sees herself reflected in another person (same eyes, same teeth), and so doesn’t feel as alone, especially once said person accepts her for who she truly is and shows that he understands her. Chisaki also had experience being othered because of his “dangerous” quirk and “off-putting” personality when he was younger, so they have a sort of inherent bond over it.
He allows her to drink his blood usually after he has extracted it from himself. When they work, mostly as medical/support, it’s a common thing for Toga to transform into Chisaki to use his quirk (yes, I’m giving her that ability) when doing things other than blood transfusions and whatnot.
I also like to imagine that they actually look just naturally similar enough that people sometimes think Toga is Chisaki’s biological kid, until they look at him for longer than two seconds and realize he seems way too young to be her blood parent.
Anyway, so then Toga and Eri are also happy, loving sisters who do each other’s hair and paint their nails and draw together and Chisaki joins in when he’s not absolutely swamped with work because he’s a good parent and not a (total) jackass 🫶🫶

Reading 18th century letter-writing manuals, noticed a popular formula: "A letter to a friend requesting a loan" -> "Response: a letter regarding loaning money to your friend" -> "Follow-up: asking your friend to pay you back" -> "How to write a legal threat"

of course a role inspired by idina sackville played by none other than greta garbo (one of the more notorious sapphics of old hollywood).

Control is a central theme in Jones’ life. Before his arrest, he was often one of the faces of their movement, both the man able to whip up a crowd, and talk to the people on the street, and also meeting and negotiating with politicians. He has an exceptionally good read on people, and is often very good at predicting and influencing their actions. For this reason, he’s actually a stronger asset to the Game than he’s aware.
One of the appealing things about Nite was how easy he was to read. Yes, he’d invite a certain degree of boldness and spontaneity into Jones’ life, but always on a trajectory that was fairly straightforward to predict and easily managed or diverted. He is manipulative, but not for nefarious purposes. That’s simply how he is. If Nite was in a bad mood, he knows exactly the steps he needs to take to pull him away from that negativity and ease some of that burden. He knew exactly which words, which gestures can elicit the strongest reactions, and moreover, knew how to draw that spark out of him, the one that makes Jones feel alive simply to witness. And he likes knowing that he’s able to do that, to help, care for, to influence.
This is why it’s so concerning for him to use that soft power to cause harm. He knows exactly what can cut the deepest, what’s most painful, most anger-inducing, or how to force inaction. It’s something he could’ve used a dozen times over in his life if he wanted wealth or status or power. And he does want power, but not that way.
The fact that he could do any of those things, and if he’s being honest, with that same thrill from flexing that control regardless of context, scares him a bit. It would be so easy to simply slip into it, like a well-fitting glove. But he doesn’t want to. He wants to think that he’s a good person.
So when he feels uncertain, he turns that control onto himself, doubling down on the established rituals, and creating new ones. He does what he needs to to ensure that he has the ability to set the rules and ensure that he follows.
After the breakup he starts questioning his own morals for how he’d handled it. Rather than retreat into ritual and restriction, he swings sharply the other way, into that wave, letting it take him wherever it may. He indulges too much in wine and women (and men), consequences be damned. He picks up a stranger at a bar, just because he wants to in that second, and because he can. He ignores the consequences of his actions for as long as he can, until suddenly they’re front and centre to greet him and that base level of control he’d taken for granted is torn clean away.

on a different note it is so interesting how fundamentally cameron is the only one who understands house. like chase and foreman pity/hate him, cuddy is worried for him, wilson is invested in him, but cameron is the one who understands him. every single one of her observations post-quitting have been spot-on to the point where house has implied that he wants her back on the team MULTIPLE times. cameron is the only one who understands!!!

none of you fuckers understand Eleven like I do (/hj)
they didn't give Eleven a Master bc they couldn't give star a Master bc they would've gotten along like a damn wildfire.
do you really think Eleven, who takes some manic glee in being trapped in a life-or-death situation, who got punched for saying star's companion wasn't worth the world, who draws the line at a scared child, wouldn't have locked eyes with the Master once and fallen madly in love all over again?
do you really think the Master, who smiles like a lunatic while putting people in life-or-death situations, who would give everything up for a planet that drove it mad, who almost certainly has some small amount of Koschei still rattling around up in there, wouldn't have seen the rage Eleven carries in star's bones and begged to kiss star?
do you really think that the Raggedy Doctor and the Boy Who Heard Drums wouldn't have chased each other, tooth and nail, until their twin hearts stopped beating in their chests?

Gonna say something a lot of you won't want to hear. In my opinion, sometimes (sometimes) trying to find depth where there isn't any is also a form of media illiteracy

can i just say. hm. can i just say. "no one is immune to getting abused". I don't think that's true. "abuse can happen to anyone". not true! it seems like abuse can happen to anyone because everyone is a lonely vulnerable mess with no sense of boundaries. and everyone thinks they don't have the particular qualities that make an abuse victim (are you a woman? you do.) but you actually can live your life in a way that precludes getting abused. and in fact you should.

im so inlove with my friends. platonically but it gets hard to distinguish it. like i love seeing them smile, having fun with each other. i love seeing the boys in my class be stupid and play the randomest shit on their chromebooks. i love seeing the girls talk about what skincare they want and what type of makeup they saw. but at the same time i want to share those across-the-room smiles with someone. i want to brush my hand against theirs. i want to tease them. i want to stare into their eyes with a twinkle in mine.
