“Your…plate. Jersey. I assumed… Well, like, I guess it could be a rental—”

“Nah, you’re right. Jersey,” Gerard says, cutting him off as he stammers. He forgot about his Jersey plates, but he isn’t sure if this move is anything more than temporary, so he has no intention of switching his registration over. Going to a DMV, even in a small place like this, is a nightmare he is not ready to go through if he can help it. “I just moved down the road.”

“Oh! Okay, yeah. I’m Adam. I work at Magnolia.”

Feeling burnt out from New York City, Gerard is unable to create anything now that he finally has time to himself. Knowing he needs a change—or a break, as his friends put it—Gerard leaves the city for a cabin on the outskirts of a picturesque mountain town down south with a ranch across the street.

When a rainstorm leaves him stranded on the side of the road, and the cowboy across the street, Adam, stops to help, it kicks off an unlikely friendship between the two while Gerard works on some freelance gigs and his own project—until feedback from a client changes everything.

Ohhh oohh oh. Wtf. This was such an experience. Ok, so Adam is like INSANELY charming in this, like this is PEAK Adam and he's like. Basically a cowboy. Hot. You WILL be so frustrated with Gerard in this though, like. Not that he's ooc or badly written or anything, but he's just. Blinded by being a workaholic, let's say? I wanted to wack him over the head a lot, like think Settle For Me by Kitoko_kun levels of frustration with Gerard, lmao. Anyway, so good though. You will swoon for Adam so hard, dear lordy...

I like to think that during pfl (using his s9 characterization, not s10) wash is the guy you go to when you want to know something (ah la a line in the fall of reach novel I believe where chief says the enlisted personnel always seem to know stuff bc wash is clearly enlisted).

he's in a position where he's privy to information from the higher-ups, and he's friendly enough with the lower rungs that he knows the gossip going around. as a bonus though, wash ain't no narc, so if you want that information you need to offer him something of equivalent exchange (consequently fueling the 'guy who knows things' thing). for example, north had to tell him about using equipment in the field in order to get him to tell him what his meeting with internals was about.

wash isn't the only guy who knows things, of course, but he's the guy who has the widest base of general knowledge. ct is also someone who knows things, but she's a lot more specific, and what she lacks in scale she more than makes up for with how in-depth her knowledge is. wash is where you learn about something from, ct is where you get all the juicy details (to the point of it almost being tmi). she also has an equivalent exchange policy, but people tend to be a bit more reluctant to get information from her because of what her knowledge is (and the borderline 'insane conspiracy theorist' energy doesn't help either).

people on t /etc who feel that their facial hair is too light for their liking: just for men is not a difficult product to use and is like $15 and comes in many shades and is worth trying, just get or steal a spoolie brush too, don't use the brush they give you. brown mascara or eyebrow gel is also wonderful. (<- even to test run before dyeing, but either of those options will also make the hair look slightly less fine too.) even if you think your facial hair is too patchy to try or your mustache is too fine or whatever. trust me. trust me.

it's kind of weird to me that they didn't bother releasing sushi and tempura internationally at all but at the same time i'm kinda glad they didn't cuz like. yo-kai watch was financially failing in the west by the time 3 released. i feel like if they had released sushi and tempura the franchise would've completely tanked before we got sukiyaki which would've sucked. honestly if anything i feel like it's more surprising that we got all three versions of 2 instead of them just releasing psychic specters but tbf i think yo-kai watch was doing well in the west when 2 released. 2 is just inexplicably what killed the franchise despite being a masterpiece-
