Nobody cares about the Muppets humans and that is fair, so today i'm gonna step in and share my top ten Muppets human characters ranking, from best to not B best bc i'm bored (also i didnt watch muppets take manthatam so if theres a memorable human there let me know)
1. Tim curry pirate is one of my favorite muppets villains, he's funny, he's entertaining and his song is silly
Tumblr media
2. Mary
I don't even need to explain, she's Mary
Tumblr media
5. Lady Hollyday
All she does is sit around and eat up, don't need to elaborate
Tumblr media
4. Nadya
She's a girlboss idc
Tumblr media
5. Dominic
I normally count him as a duo whit Constantine, but he's entertaining and i like how he reveals against him for a partion of the movie
Tumblr media
6. Jean Pierre
Not much to say but same as deal as Dominic, a duo whit Sam the Eagle and really entertaining
Tumblr media
7. Max and Moog
Placing them together because they are more of an honorable mention before i go down the characters i don't like or don't stand out that much to me.
They are both funny and silly and nice additions to their respectives show/movie
Tumblr media Tumblr media
8. Nora
I'm gonna get a ton of hate for this one, but she's a character that develops under time (just like her sister and Moog) since is a show and i get that, but in the first 4 episodes she's gets too much moments where she's kinda egocentric, she lies about her job that causes Janice to gets sick, refuses to talk over her sister, blames stuffs on other people, etc (also not her characters fault but she gets so much screentime sometimes, even thought the show is called muppets mayhem).
Over time and in the last 3 episodes of she show she gets better and she's a tolerable character. Don't get me wrong, i don't hate her, just saying she's still a character in development and over all a nice character
Tumblr media
9. Doc Hopper
He's an insane sales man that wanted to exterminate Kermit and his friends, pulled a gun at him, called a mercenary, got a whole armed gang, and a Russian stereotype scientists just because Kermit didnt want to dance on his commercial; trully a madman. Not much to say outside of that thought and the follow that car joke
Tumblr media
10. Richman (can't add an image sorry)
Only memorable thing abt him to me is his song and how deadly pushed him out a building.
11. LADY HOLLYDAYS BROTHER
I HATE HIM, I'M GLAD HE GOT HIS ASS BEATED, AND SHOULD HAVE NOT MADE PIGGY APOLOGIZE
I could talk about more humans but this is an already long post and theres no more characters i even remember so that all for now! Goodbye and i hope someone gets my love for Mary from muppets 2011 (also i hate JJ, i'm not adding him)

"Hey, this pretty much universally beloved video game OST actually kind of hits-- why is no one else talking about this?"
Sometime last year in September while looking for more background music to study and write to other than the Neopets: The Darkest Faerie OST, I looked up the Minecraft OST on YouTube.
Then that same December, my personal 2023 Spotify Wrapped released with C418 as my number one artist, who produced the Minecraft Volume Alpha album in 2011 and the Minecraft Volume Beta album in 2013; along with his three 2018 singles for the OST Axolotl, Dragon Fish, and Shuniji.
with a total of 2,518 minutes listened to, in the span of a little less than four months; I was put in his top 1% of listeners-- something I had definitely felt a little embarrassed about at the time.
My number three artist then was Lena Raine, who also worked on the later entries into the OST, with Minecraft: Nether Update in 2020; Minecraft: Caves and Cliffs in 2021; Minecraft: The Wild Update in 2022; and also has a fair number of tracks in the most recent addition to the OST, 2024 Minecraft: Tricky Trials.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mine-Craft
I can't even say that the reason why I can focus so well to this soundtrack is because I have a nostalgia for the game like in my Darkest Faerie Post. While I did absolutely play the game a lot when I was younger like every other twelve-year-old with computer access; for as long as I can remember, I've specifically turned off the in-game music so I could listen to my own.
That's why for so long, I never really had any palpable attachment to the music.
However, due to that whim in September, I have discovered probably my favorite Video Game OST ever-- one that I listen to for schoolwork yes-- but also one that I often listen to when walking around my college campus between classes, or when biking around my neighborhood, or reading a book for fun-- or when I just need to calm down.
Variety Hour
I think the one of the main reasons why it's so versatile is just the number of artists that have produced songs towards its collection. There's C418 and Lena Raine, but there's also Kumi Tanioka, Samuel Åberg, and Adam Cherof.
This could have been a drawback, where so many different contributors to the same project might've lead to some discordance in the whole sound of the OST-- but none of the artist's sounds really clash with each other all too much, which is incredibly impressive considering the time gap from the release of the first album to the most current album.
Probably one of the most different songs I've heard on the soundtrack so far is Adam Cherof 's 2024 Precipice -- and honestly, I couldn't care less because this song is genuinely incredible. There's so much passion, and energy, and it really feels like you're standing atop a precipice, with the faster tempo of the song and the airy echoing of chimes and keys acting to simulate the wind whipping past your ears-- it's fun, and adventurous, and different and I adore it.
youtube
Back to the Beginning
Tumblr media
Because Minecraft: Tricky Trials released so recently, it was not in my 2023 wrapped, but with just how many great and repeatable songs are on that album, I fully except to see both Precipice and Creator in my 2024 wrapped.
The song that did take my number one spot though was Équinoxe, off that original album, with Ancestry off of Minecraft: Caves and Cliffs taking my second spot and Moog City again from that original album taking my third spot.
While both Moog City and Équinoxe are beautiful pieces that I could go on and on about, I specifically want to talk about Ancestry.
This song is this beautiful and unnerving atmospheric piece that specifically was designed to play in the Deep Dark Biome, which as the name suggests, is a haunting little area deep underground with little to no light.
Tumblr media
I love all the echoing in this song, the crispy static just under the pulsating higher tones, the glitchy wind instrument sounds-- it all contributes to this gorgeous "mysterious and unknown scary" ambiance that the dev team was aiming for.
youtube
There are a couple songs like this one too, full of a darker, more somber atmosphere-- another one of my favorites being from C418's Minecraft Volume Beta, The End, or from his Minecraft Volume Alpha, Thirteen.
I guess I'm a sucker for a darker soundtrack because the Minecraft OST has more than its fair share of cold and heavy ambiance.
Looking Forward
I could genuinely talk at length for at least half of this soundtrack. There are so many rich pieces, and motifs, and melodies that I've grown incredibly found of. There are still songs on the OST that I feel like I'm discovering for the first time, where they might not have caught my ear the first couple listens-- but after a while I've started to really hear the intricacies in their scores and gain a new appreciation for them.
I'm honestly considering making a tier list for the soundtrack, or maybe even doing a couple posts at the very least.
I genuinely think that if anyone hasn't listened to the Minecraft OST, they should give it a shot, whether it just be for fun, or to study and write to. You really don't need to have an overwhelming sense of nostalgia to enjoy the music-- and I'm proof.
Here is the entire, currently up-to-date Minecraft OST playlist on Spotify neatly organized in chronological order by user Darra (Everybody say thank you Darra). If you don't have Spotify though, here is the similarly organized playlist by user NightBunny8 on Youtube (Everybody say thank you NightBunny8).
To anyone who is familiar with soundtrack though, what are your favorite songs? or the opposite; if anyone hates any of the songs off the OST, I'd love to hear which ones. I can't say I really Hate any of the songs... maybe one... but that can wait for the tier list or a subsequent post.

330: Clara Rockmore // Theremin
Tumblr media
Theremin Clara Rockmore 1977, Delos (Bandcamp)
100 years since its invention, the theremin remains an oddity. It is in every respect an antiquated piece of technology, and yet like the Tesla coil and the plasma globe it still provokes the primal wonder of science-as-magic. The advancements of a modern synthesizer unit are hidden from the eye—if you presented it to an unthawed person from the 19th century, they would at least be able to infer that the device is controlled using the buttons and keys. But the theremin player creates sound by coaxing an invisible magnetic field with their bare hands, as though they are pulling its warbling voice from the air itself—and indeed, inventor Léon Theremin’s artful original name for his instrument was the ætherphone.
youtube
To watch a performance by Clara Rockmore, the instrument’s foremost practitioner, is to see something that resembles a scene from a séance or a German Expressionist film. A petite, dark-haired woman with the eyes of an Orthodox Virgin Mary, she would stand ramrod straight behind the lectern-like theremin, nearly motionless save for the almost palsied-looking convulsions of her knotted hands and the tensing of her eyebrows, the only sign on her otherwise slack features of the intensity of her concentration. She looks as though she is forcing down the song attempting to leap from her throat until it screams through her fingertips like steam from a kettle. As synth pioneer Robert Moog explains in his liner notes to Rockmore’s 1977 LP Theremin, her absolute stillness was not a theatrical device but a requirement of playing the instrument: the theremin’s magnetic field encompasses not only the performers hands but their entire upper body, meaning that even a minor motion of the head will influence the instrument’s pitch. But the austere figure she cut no doubt contributed to her allure, the sense that she was herself as unearthly as the instrument she played.
Tumblr media
Rockmore, a violin prodigy since age 5, took to Theremin’s invention sometime in the late 1920s. Her concerts popularized and legitimated the instrument, but it would be nearly a half-century before the Theremin LP, her first, was finally released. Produced by Shirleigh Moog and engineered by her husband Robert, one gets the sense that the Moogs are fans trying to correct an oversight, to record the album as it would’ve sounded if it had been made her during her prime. The results are captivating, even haunting. At times you may be fooled into thinking you’re listening to a recording of a human soprano from some decayed shellac disc; in other moments, you will be moved by how world-weary an electronic tone can sound.  Rockmore is accompanied, as she had been since the beginning, by her sister Nadia Reisenberg on piano, and her selections focus on 19th and early 20th century compositions, with a heavy emphasis on the Romantics. A majority of the pieces here come from her fellow Russians, including Tchaikovsky, Glazunov, Rachmaninoff, and Stravinsky. My personal favourite of these is her take on Joseph Achron’s “Hebrew Melody.” Inspired by traditional laments, Rockmore’s theremin evokes the sobbing characteristic (krekhts) of Jewish vocal music, while her sister thunders and pirouettes on her piano in a classically Romantic style.
Theremin stands apart from other electronic classical records like Wendy Carlos’ Switched-On Bach because it never sounds wholly like a novelty despite the theremin’s high camp potential (and, for that matter, Rockmore’s). It is peculiar, and my fascination with it definitely originated in a perverse nostalgia for esoteric junk—but the somber beauty of the sisters’ performance wiped the smirk from my face from virtually the moment I dropped the needle.

Cosmic Analog Ensemble - Les Grandes Vacances - this one is essentially a library music album as it stands ("The Great Vacation"). I don't think I noticed before that this is a one-man "ensemble"

Collecting my thoughts on the mayhem for a bit..read if you wish but spoilers below the cut!
(May update after my second rewatch)
I love the minor details some of the Mayhem have such as Teeth's un-straight teeth and Floyd's hair being darker in the back (saying this bc they really didn't have to put that much detail into the puppets but they did!! And I love it)
Moog (is that how you spell it?) Wearing a different Mayhem shirt every time he was on screen was phenomenal
Janice getting sentimental to Nora over her sister in that ep. was so heartfelt...
Teeth's golden tooth being a cap and not real
TEETH BEING AN ACTUAL DOCTOR???
LIPS BEING EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT?
Animal and Floyd's backstory tugged at my heartstrings... it was so sweet and I'm definitely not the biggest Animal fan
Also young Floyd wearing glasses?? That was kinda silly im ngl
^Then deciding to not wear them (i bet it's cause he thinks he wouldn't look cool)
Teeth's first name being Gerald....anyways
Something I also liked was about halfway through the series you could actually somewhat understand lips! I thought that was interesting
And the fact he knows so many celebrities and just has them on speed dial was also silly
I would've liked to have seen zoot without his glasses...
Also all of their outfits were GREAT!! (teeth's were my fav but are we surprised... no)
I also enjoyed the endings of each ep. with zoot snapping a photo
LEAST favorite part was the minecraft concert!!!! It was so cringe I literally skipped through it I could NOT stand to watch it :,)

Weremayhem: Songs of Beasts. Ch 53: Music Finds a Way
Nora was on the side of the road. Her car had died on her. She was on the phone with JJ but her phone died on her too. The black haired female huffed in anger. It was like everything was falling down on her.
“Great. Maybe a little plan wouldn’t have been the worst idea” Label Lady said to herself. She stands with her hands on her hips. Suddenly Nora starts to hear music from afar. She could tell it was some type of rock music. The black haired female turned to face the road as she saw something coming.
It was the mayhem’s bus with speakers on the roof. Animal was on the roof too with his drum set. He was playing with the music.
“What the…” Nora starts to say. She was in shock. A smile starts to form on her face as she sees it was the electric mayhem. On the left side of the bus, Lips and Zoot were playing their saxophone and trumpet. The right side, Floyd and Janice play their guitars. Dr. Teeth was driving the bus as he sang.
“That is so illegal” said the black haired female. “But so awesome,” she added with a huge smile on her face. The bus pulled over in front of her. The door opens and Moog walks out of the bus with a smile on his face.
“The Electric Mayhem has arrived” said the black haired male. Nora’s sister walks out right behind him.
“But how?” replied Nora.
“You’ve got Red to thank for that” replied Hannah with a smile on her face.
“Animal?” replied Label Lady. The drummer laughs as he shakes his head yes.
“What could he have possibly said to get through to you guys?” Nora asked in disbelief. A short flashback shows Animal yelling “Nora gone” happens then it ends.
“The fact is, for all you’ve done for all of us, we can’t let you give up your dream,” said Floyd Pepper.
“Aw!” said the black haired female with a soft smile.
“Also, Lips thought you were dead,” said Janice.
“Yeah, yeah” added Animal.
“Aw. Okay” replied Label Lady.
“And from the first moment I met you, Nobu, I knew that someday that you were gonna change all of us here for the better” replied Lips.
“But now, I know that you’re…” he started to add before his mumbles became hard to understand. The blonde male put his hand over his heart.
“This was, like, the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to…” Nora started to say before she realized that she understand the trumpet player.
“Oh my God! I understood Lips!” she said in shock.
“Well, that’s cause you’re one of us. You’re family now, Dorothy” replied Zoot.
“You, like, always have a seat on our bus” said Janice with a smile.
“So, hop abroad, Labels. We got places to be and people to rock” said Teeth.
“Let’s roll to the Bowl!” added Floyd.
“Hey, guys, I hate to tell you this but the show was canceled” replied the black haired female.
“No one’s gonna be there,” she added.
“No one or everyone?” replied the ginger haired male. The band started to chuckle with joy.
“No one’s gonna be there.” She doesn’t know what she’s talking about” said Lips with a laugh. Nora looks confused and looks at Hannah and Moog.
Later, they arrived at the Hollywood Bowl, playing on stage. The place was packed full of people. They were playing “Join Together” , the same song that they were playing on the road to find Nora. The band’s outfits were shiny and had some stones to make the clothes shine like a diamond in the stage lights.
Label Lady, Hannah, and Moog were backstage with Lewis and Annie. The crowd was cheering with joy. “All right, Hollywood Bowl!” said the doc into the microphone.
“Yeah!” replied Floyd with a smirk.
“We am again, is once more, are still and will always be, they whom are known as the eternally reunited after being briefly divided Electric Mayhem! “ the red haired male said with a smile on his face. The crowd cheers again.
Backstage, JJ suddenly appears. He walked up to the five. “Hey, hey! Welcome back to music!” he said with a smile on his face.
“JJ? Wha…I didn’t expect you to still show up” replied Nora in shock.
“I always got your back, Smoosh” he replied with a smirk.
“Don’t call me that” replied the black haired female.
“So, is this the part where you say “Let’s just be friends?” JJ asked.
“I mean, I’d really like that,” she replied with a soft smile. Moog smiles a bit, he still have a chance with Nora.
“Yeah, me, too. Well, I’ll see you around, Nora” replied the ex-lover.
“See ya, Smoosh” she replied with a smirk.
“Don’t call me that” he replied with a laugh before he left backstage.
“He should be call “Road Kill” said Lewis under his breath.
“Lewis no” replied Label Lady with a soft laugh.
“As exciting as it is to set sail on our own, we realized, without each other, we’re all just a bit lost at sea.” said Dr. Teeth on stage.
“Allow me to use this opportunity to give a most enthusimitastic shout-out to my mama and daddy” He added with a smile.
“Tonight’s their very first official Electric Mayhem concert” said the good doctor.
“Hey, Mama! Hey, Daddy!” he added as he waved to them.
Tina and Gerald were sitting at the special seating area so they could get a good view of the band. Teeth’s father had a nasty scar over the eye that skekRey cut. He also has bandages over the hand that was stabbed through. Teeth’s mother only has a little bit of bandages showing on her shoulder due to her black t-shirt, the shirt was covered in pins. Gerald also has the same black t-shirt with the electric mayhem on it.
Teeth’s siblings were there too. Liam was in a leather jacket with Rose under the table to keep the bright lights away from her eyes. Luna was wearing a dark blue sparkly dress with some blue eyeliner on her eyelids. Flora was wearing a t-shirt with the mayhem’s logo. Xavier was wearing just a red t-shirt.
“That’s my boy” said Tina Teeth with a small tear in her eyes, her voice was weak but had pride in it. She was proud of her son. A big smile was on her face.
“I, uh, never thought I’d see them there in the crowd, cheering me on” said Dr. Teeth. He couldn’t believe that this was real. His parents were here even after being hurt by hunters to save Lewis, Annie, and Animal. The good doctor’s voice was weak, he started to tear up a bit.
The ginger haired male shakes his head a bit as he tries to collect his words. His voice starts to break as he speaks again. “And it’s all thanks to one special friend,” he added.
“Oh, man” he mumbled under his breath as he shook his head again. The doc took a deep breath.
“It’s okay, Doc. Just speak from the heart” said Janice with a soft smile on her face. He nods with a soft smile forming on his face.
“Yeah” he softly said before looking at the crowd.
“This song is dedicated to a lady who’s been taking care of her family her whole life” Teeth said as he looked over at Nora.
“Nora! Nora!” yelled Animal as he jumped up and down.
“But now, you got this family to take care of you” said the ginger haired male. Label Lady started to tear up a bit. It touched her heart.
Dr. Teeth started to play his keyboard, piano ballad filled the air. He started to sing “Believe in us” The spotlight was only shining on him. Rock guitar riffs start to play as Janice plays her guitar. The spotlight shines down on her too.
Animal starts to beat his drums as the crowd starts to cheer. Then rest join into the song. Floyd starts to sing as he looks at his lover, Janice. Label Lady smiles as they play. She can feel the love from the band.
Lewis smiles as he watches the band play, his family play. He started to tear up too. The chorus people came out and  started to sing. “And cue the fireworks” said Moog with a smile on his face.
The fireworks light up the night sky. The crowd cheers with joy. Tina and Gerald were shocked but amazed by the beautiful fireworks. Liam gasps as he sees the colors in the sky, the first time he sees fireworks. He normally stays inside to comfort his king cobra, Princess. Luna and Flora throw their hands up in the air and let out joy filled screams.
“Whoo-hoo!” said Tina as she threw her hands up in the air but quickly put them back down to the healing scar on her waist.
At a different table, Penny and Zakai were enjoying the fireworks in the sky. “Wow!” yelled Mrs. Waxman with joy in her voice.
“Its beautiful” said Mr. Waxman with a soft smile. “Like you” he added as he looked at his wife. The pink haired female blushes and gives him a quick kiss on the cheek.
“You’re too sweet for your own good.” she said with a soft smile.
“And you’re too spicy for your own good,” he replied with a soft chuckle.
Meanwhile backstage, Hannah watches the fireworks. “How am I not posting this right now?” she asked in shock.
“Cause you’re living it” replied her sister with a smirk on her face. As the band plays, Nora hugs Moog, her sister, Lewis, and Annie with a huge smile on her face.
After the show, Dr. Teeth stops his parents in the parking lot. “Mama and Daddy?” he asked with his hat in his hands.
“Yes, Junior?” replied Tina as she turned to face her oldest son. The ginger haired male took a deep breath.
“Thank you for saving Animal and my son from the hunters. I know I shouldn’t have left them. I should’ve stayed and been a good dad but I failed. I..I let the damn phone take over my brain. I let it ruin my family. Now, I’m willing to be the dad that my kids need and the pal that Animal need. It's something I need to do. I..I can’t thank you too much because you did something that I should’ve done.” said Junior.
“Junior, I’m glad that you got some sense in that head of yours.” replied Gerald with a huff.
“And that you take the time to thank us for saving your friend and our grandson” he added as he hugged Teeth. The ginger haired male hugged his father back with some tears in his eyes. Tina hugged the two.
The next day, the band was at the album shop. They were looking at their album. “Whoa!” said the band in shock.
“We, like, totally did it” said Janice with a smile on her face. Floyd and the doc nod their heads.
“Did what?” asked Zoot as he rested his arm on the stack of albums.
“I can now say without fabrication or hesitation, this truly is the greatest achievement of my lifetime” said Dr. Teeth with a huge smile on his face.
“Fer sure. Now, let’s, like, buy every single copy and totally give them out for free” replied the blonde female.
“Yes. Let’s do that” replied Floyd Pepper.
“No, no, no, no. Don’t do that” Nora quickly said.
“Don’t!” said Animal as he looked at the saxophonist.
“Although, I’ve been thinking. Now, that we have a legit album, we actually have a reason to go on tour” said Label Lady.
“What do you mean “we?” asked the red haired male as he looked up the black haired female.
“Well, a proper tour requires a proper manager” replied Nora.
“So, I was thinking that we could include me,” she added.
“Me?” asked the drummer. Floyd whispers into the wild man’s ear. The band kept whispers between each other.
The doc clears his throat. “I believe I speak for everyone when I say, “Well, all right!” said Teeth with a huge smile on his face.
“You rock that spot!” said Floyd Pepper as the band cheered.
“Let’s go do it,” said Nora with a smile on her face. The band started to leave the store. The black haired female quickly turned her head. “Wait, now?” she asked.
“Yeah!” replied the band.
“Road trip!” yelled Animal as he jumped up and down.
“Let’s go!” said the red haired male as he walked behind Zoot. Moog stay behind in the store.
“We’re leaving right now?” Label Lady asks the mayhem. She noticed the black haired male staying behind in the store. The black haired female walk over to him.
“Hey, you coming or what?” asked Nora.
“You know, the concert’s over. You guys are going on tour” replied Moog.
“So, you know, it’s back to following the band,” he added with a soft smile. The black haired female let out a soft laugh and shook her head a bit.
“You’re with the band” replied Label Lady with a soft smile on her face.
“I’m with the band?” Moog asked in a little bit of shock. She nods. A huge smile covers his face. The joy washed over his body. The two start to get close, about to kiss.
Until Animal got between them. “Road trip! Road trip! Road trip!” yelled the drummer with joy. The wild man quickly run off back outside the store.
“Right, we should… We’ve got to…” Label Lady starts to say as blush covers her face.
“Yeah” replied the mayhem fan with blush on his cheeks.
Later after coming back from the store, the band was packing up the bus for the tour. “There you go” said Teeth as he helped Lips  with some things into the bus through one of the windows.
“A little more. Little more. There it is” said the good doctor.
“Little more?” asked the blonde male.
“Thank you” said the ginger haired male as he set the case down. He poke his head back out to give his lover a quick kiss on the cheek. The trumpet player blushes before leaving to get more things.
“Ooh, don’t forget the marshmallows” said Janice as she stuck her head out of the back seat window. Nora closes the back of the bus as Hannah walks over to her, her sister was holding the family photos book.
“Here. Don’t forget your photo album. Little piece of home for the road” said Hannah as she handed it to her sister.
“Thank you. You know, I’m gonna miss you so much” replied Nora with a soft smile.
“I’m going to miss you crashing on  my couch,” replied Nora’s sister.
“No, you’re not,” replied Label Lady with a smirk.
“No. No, I’m not” Hannah replied with a chuckle.
“Just remember, I was the original Fanahannah” replied Hannah’s sister. The two hug each other for the last time.
Inside the bus, Moog looks at the photos on the ceiling of the bus. “Home, sweet bus” said Dr. Teeth as he sits in the driver seats.
“That’s right,” replied Floyd Pepper.
“Wow. I still can’t get over all these old photos” said the black haired male with a smile on his face.
“Yeah, I took those with my first camera. The band gave it to me, but I forget why?” replied Zoot as he looked up. He spotted a photo of Lewis when he was three years old. The dark blue haired softy smiled and looked over at the ginger haired boy. Lewis was sleeping with Annie in his arms.
“Yeah, so he’d remember stuff. That’s why” replied Floyd with a chuckle. The band started to laugh a bit.
“Well, I remember this and that.” said the saxophonist as he pointed at the photos.
“And there’s that grilled cheese sandwich I ate that one time,” he added. Nora walks into the bus with a smile on her face.
“All right, are we good to go?” the black haired female asked.
“Yeah! Let’s go!” replied Moog with a smile.
“Nora!” said Animal with a smile on his face. Label Lady picked an empty seat and sat down in it. She was next to Janice and Floyd’s seat.
“Oh, wow. We’re, like, gonna be roomies again” said the blonde female.
“Only this time, with everyone wedged into a bus,” she added.
“Yeah, we’ve been touring around for years without even a map” replied the good doctor.
“But this tour shall be the psychedlical, truly immersified experience it deserves to be '' he added.
\”there’s us taking Manhattan” said Zoot as he was still looking at the photos on the ceiling.
“Yeah…” Lips started to say before it turned into mumbles. “And change the world! he added.
“You know, Lips is right. We are gonna change the world” replied Nora with a smile on her face. The blonde male nods.
“One concert at a time,” she added.
“Hey, Nora. Aren’t you forgetting we’re broke, and tours cost a fortune?” asked Moog.
“Oh! There’s Penny giving me all that cash for that album we never did” said the dark blue haired male as he pointed to a picture of Penny giving him the money.
“Wait, Zoot. Would this be the photo of the money you lost?” asked Label Lady as she took down a photo of Zoot with the money.
“Yep. And there’s me stuffing the cash into a giant sack” he replied as he pointed to a photo of him with the sack of money.
“Oh, yeah, and there’s me hiding that giant sack on that old tour bus we had.” the saxophonist added.
“Sweet cream corn!” yelled Floyd.
“The photos are a veritable treasure map of Zoot’s memory” the red haired male added.
“Fan out and search, everybody!” he yelled. Everyone quickly searched high and low for the money.
“Ah! Found it!” yelled Nora as she pulled the sack out to show everyone.
“You did it!” replied Floyd Pepper with a huge smile on his face. The band all cheered with joy. Animal was still looking for it.
“You were saying? Magic of the Mayhem, baby” the black haired female said to the mayhem fan.
“Well, now, who’s ready to get rolling so we can start rocking?” asked Teeth.
“You know I am!” yelled the red haired male.
“I’m in!” yelled Janice.
“Well then, there’s only one thing left to do” replied the doc.
“And what is that, oh, fearless leader?” asked Floyd Pepper.
“We take this show on the road” replied Dr. Teeth as he shut the bus’ door and started the bus.
“Disney plus is gonna love this” said the red haired male said as the bus started to move down the driveway.
“Bye-bye” said the drummer with a smile on his face as he looked out the back windows. Suddenly the engine stops. “Whoa!” said the wild man as his head hit the glass.
“Oh!” yelled the band as they saw steam leaving the hood of the bus.
“What the,,,” the trumpet player said as he looked out of his window. He quickly sat back down as he felt his stomach feeling weird again.
“What happened?” asked Floyd.
“Uh-oh” said Animal.
The End.

Nucleus were a British jazz-fusion band, which continued in different forms from 1969 to 1989.In 1970, the band won first prize at the Montreux Jazz Festival, released the album Elastic Rock, and performed both at the Newport Jazz Festival and the Village Gate jazz club.
The band was established by Ian Carr, who had been in the Rendell–Carr Quintet during the middle and late 1960s. Their debut album, Elastic Rock, and the next two collections, We'll Talk About It Later (1970) and Solar Plexus (1971), were all released on Vertigo Records, and music journalist Colin Larkin noted were "vital in any comprehensive rock or jazz collection".
In August 2005, a reincarnation of Nucleus with old and new members performed at Cargo in London. This was followed on 30 March 2007 by a Nucleus Revisited concert at London's Pizza Express Jazz Club as part of a series of concerts to mark the tenth anniversary of Jazzwise magazine. Nucleus Revisited included Geoff Castle, Mark Wood, and Tim Whitehead and on trumpet, as at the 2005 Cargo concert, Chris Batchelor. Although Ian Carr did not play due to ill health, he was present at the concert and received a standing ovation. On 4 August 2009, #NucleusRevisited appeared at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London with Michael Garrick's Quartet as part of their two-week-long Brit Jazz Fest.

you might be a good verse but are you
Curious about his interest
I babbled my way through the worldwide list
Ireland, Chile and the African states
Poetry, politics and how they relate
Motherhood, music and Moog synthesizers
Political prisoners and Commie sympathizers
Hetero, homo and bisexuality
Where they all stand in the nineteen-seventies
Then suddenly it stopped and he started to lobby
Said, Tell me some inside stuff about Bobby
Bobby who? I smiled and said
And the TIME man's face was laced with red
I know you guys used to know each other
I know you refer to him as being your brother
And I know that you know where he's coming from
I said, You know alot for being so Goddamned dumb
from Joan Baez' Time Rag? no? then humble yourself.

Lyrics:
How does it feel
To treat me like you do?
When you've laid your hands upon me
And told me who you are
I thought I was mistaken
I thought I heard your words
Tell me how do I feel
Tell me now, how do I feel
Those who came before me
Lived through their vocations
From the past until completion
They'll turn away no more
I still find it so hard
To say what I need to say
But I'm quite sure that you'll tell me
Just how I should feel today
I see a ship in the harbor
I can and shall obey
But if it wasn't for your misfortune
I'd be a heavenly person today
And I thought I was mistaken
And I thought I heard you speak
Tell me, how do I feel
Tell me now, how should I feel
Now I stand here waiting
Songwriter:
I thought I told you to leave me
While I walk down to the beach
Tell me how does it feel
When your heart grows cold, grows cold...
Peter Hook / Gillian Lesley Gilbert / Stephen Paul David Morris / Bernard Sumner
SongFacts:
'Blue Monday' is the most successful and best-known song by the British new wave band New Order and, due to its innovative sound engineering and early sampling sounds, is considered a pioneering piece of electronic dance music and synth pop as well as a pioneer of techno. The original version of the track was released in 1983 on the 12″ maxi single of the same name.
The song, consisting of four verses, begins with a pounding sixteenth-note drum machine beat (Oberheim DMX), into which keyboardist Gillian Gilbert slowly fades in a melody as a sequencer loop. According to the band members, they did it in the wrong place, causing the melody to run out of sync with the beat; the supposed "bug" was eventually retained as a welcome feature. The piece then builds up in a cascading fashion; after an unusually long intro, consisting of a pulsating Moog synthesizer sequence and Peter Hook's electric bass line and hi-hat breaks, the vocal part of the piece finally begins, performed emotionlessly and somberly by Bernard Sumner. Uncharacteristically for a "hit song," Sumner, as the song's lyricist, chose not to use a standard verse as the chorus. A staccato of sound effects follows: a succession of drumbeats resembling machine gun fire, and the then-popular synth pitch-bending sound of a "crashing airplane" that can also be found in the long disco version of Soft Cells' Tainted Love' (1981). The piece culminates in a spherical chorus sample and multi-track superimpositions (overdubs) of synthesizer melody and bass line, until it finally fades out.
As with most New Order tracks, the title bears no relation to the lyrics, which again leaves a lot of room for interpretation; Although Sumner rarely comments publicly on his lyrics, a reference to the suicide of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis and statements about the effects of Curtis were constructed, as has often been the case since the former Joy Division band members began as New Order ' Death imputed to the remaining. Hidden allusions to drug experiments were also suspected in the text, and that the band had been on an LSD trip during production.

Channeling Grief Into Art: A Conversation with NAOLUNA NAOLUNA's new EP, "Spectrum," is a deeply personal and emotionally resonant musical journey. Following a profound loss - the sudden passing of her 13-year-old nephew - the artist has poured her heart and soul into this captivating project. Each track on "Spectrum" serves as a window into NAOLUNA's evolving perspective, as she navigates the complex emotions of grief, resilience, and self-discovery. From the poignant tribute in "39" to the introspective "Mirror," her emotive lyrics are masterfully woven into dynamic, atmospheric soundscapes. NAOLUNA's self-taught approach to music composition shines through, particularly in the rich, grounding bass tones of the Moog Minitaur, which lend an added weight to the album's emotional core. Fans and newcomers alike will be drawn into her candid reflections on loss and the transformative power of art. "Spectrum" is a powerful and vulnerable release that showcases NAOLUNA's remarkable ability to channel her pain into beautifully crafted, resonant music. This EP is a testament to her resilience and artistry, inviting the listener on a journey of deeply personal exploration. Listen to Spectrum https://open.spotify.com/album/1xpWKwK57npPT9xnVXVvEO?si=YDHU74WLRnSrsZHn_Ves3w Follow NAOLUNA on Facebook Twitter Spotify Soundcloud Bandcamp Youtube Instagram Tiktok   What inspired the song "Spectrum"? Is there a personal story or experience behind it? This year has been full of many events. I hadn’t performed live since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, but in May, I resumed live performances. During the preparation for that, my precious 13-year-old nephew passed away suddenly on March 9th due to an unknown cause. My entire family was in shock, as if our world had turned white. We were left questioning the meaning of life. His sudden departure was so incomprehensible that we were simply left watching time pass. After the May live performance, which he had planned to attend, his two younger brothers and his mother, my sister, came to watch instead. Seeing them from the stage made my heart ache. Since then, I’ve felt a sudden urge to create something. I just threw myself into it, and before I knew it, this album was finished. It’s still a mystery to me where all that energy came from. Can you talk about the meaning behind the lyrics and how they relate to the overall theme of the song? 1st EP "Spectrum" "Emotions and everything in life appear differently from various perspectives. Just as colors change with the angle of view, this work expresses the multifaceted nuances of music." Stas This song was created when I resolved to achieve my goal, no matter how difficult the path ahead might be. I continue to move forward, believing that I can do it. I express my determination to keep singing, never forgetting the promise of standing on a big stage. Discord A dear person is drowning in deep darkness, and I try to help them. But that darkness is deeper than I thought. Every time I try to believe, I end up getting hurt too. I keep asking you again and again, "What is it that you don't want to lose?" Caught in a struggle, I start to lose sight of what true love really is. These are the feelings expressed in this song. 39 This song was written in memory of my 13-year-old nephew who suddenly passed away on March 9th of this year. It carries many thoughts and a heartfelt meaning of "Thank you." Finite
Every time I see or hear about the current state of the world, I feel a constant fear that it could happen close to us at any moment, leaving me unable to live my daily life properly. Realizing that I am wasting precious time while feeling this way, I decided to create this song as a reminder to fully enjoy and live in the present moment. Mirror
When I feel dissatisfaction with you, yet still stay by your side, it's because, like a mirror, you reflect me. If I don't change myself, nothing will change. If I were to live freely according to my own desires, we would surely drift apart, and it would no longer be a mirror.
The person who is always by my side is my mirror. I want to love myself as I am, and that's what I express in this song. [caption id="attachment_57610" align="alignnone" width="1950"] When I was in middle school, I was fascinated by bands and wanted to start one as soon as possible.[/caption]  How did you approach the musical composition for "Spectrum"? What instruments and sounds did you use to create the distinctive atmosphere? When I was in middle school, I was fascinated by bands and wanted to start one as soon as possible. I figured that if I was the vocalist, anyone could do it as long as they had a voice, so that's how I started music. A few years later, I wanted to compose my own music, and I learned that I could input various instruments using a MIDI keyboard on a computer. Since then, I’ve been composing in that style, self-taught. I download and create sounds that I like. However, for the song "39" on this album, I absolutely needed a deep bass that resonated like the vibration of the ground. I used the Moog Minitaur, one of the few instruments I own, to create that bass sound, which was essential for that track. Can you describe the recording process for the single? Were there any challenges or memorable moments? It was a very tough period, so I tended to create dark and sad songs. But when I try to make those types of songs, I end up crying while singing, and my emotions get so out of control that the songs become overly dark and don’t turn out well. So, when I'm feeling down like that, I deliberately try to create upbeat songs. I focus on making music that I can enjoy myself and that helps me feel like I’m moving forward. That’s why this album ended up being more up-tempo. By the time I finish a song, I often find that the sadness I had before has naturally lightened.   Where are you from, and how has your upbringing influenced your music? I am from Japan. I’ve lived a very happy life up to this point. I don’t know if it’s because my family situation was a bit complicated, but I think I’ve always been good at understanding the emotions of others, the circumstances around me, and the situations at hand. Even now as an adult, I cry easily, and even if something isn’t directly related to me, I get overwhelmed with emotion and cry as if it were my own experience. I think that aspect of my heart greatly influences my music. There are times when I feel like my emotions are hard to control, but I manage those feelings by channeling them into my music. How would you describe your musical style? What genres or artists inspire you? I think I’m inspired by many different artists, but the one who had the biggest impact on me was Bjork. Once I heard her music, I couldn’t forget it. When I saw her live performance at Fuji Rock, I had an experience I had never felt before. I felt vibrations deep in my body and a sense of unity with nature. I still vividly remember that sensation. She’s truly an amazing artist. https://open.spotify.com/artist/7wZs28mp2kCmIAwNjrIgoN?si=RhazdRaoTSaBasbWjXmwAw What is your creative process like when writing and recording new music? Do you have any specific rituals or routines? When I’m in the middle of creating, I usually shut myself away in my workroom with snacks and juice. From time to time, I take a break by doing something I enjoy without working at all. When I return to work, I find it goes much smoother. When I’m feeling stuck, I watch movies for inspiration, to stir up emotions I may have forgotten, which often leads to inspiration for new songs. I can’t write fictional stories, so I always sing about real events or feelings I’ve experienced. What does the name "NAOLUNA" mean or represent to you? My name is Nao, but since there are many artists with the same name, I was struggling to decide what to call myself. That’s when I thought of combining something I like with my name. I love the moon, so I combined my name Nao with “Luna,” which means moon in French. I wanted to keep my real name as part of my artist name because I want to stay true to myself as an artist.
What are your plans for the future? Are you working on any new music or projects? I want to collaborate with someone to create a work together. I’d also like to create music that could be used in movies or other media. I’m also thinking about working on a second album. I want to try new things and challenge myself. What are your long-term goals as an artist? Where do you see yourself in five years? I want many people to listen to my music, perform on big stages, and be involved in major projects. Since I’ve been working alone all this time, I’d love to create something with someone else. I don’t know what the future holds in five years, but I’d be so happy if more people knew about me than they do now. What message would you like to send to your fans and supporters? I’ve poured so many emotions into my new release, "Spectrum." It’s a work you can enjoy from start to finish, so I’d be thrilled if you gave it a listen. Thank you for reading to the end.

Moritz von Oswald - Silencio - no trio this time, just Moritz and a 16-voice choir
What are the differences and similarities between human and artificial sound, between oscillations generated by vocal cords and synthesizer voices, voltage amplified by speakers? On Silencio, his latest album for Tresor Records, Moritz von Oswald works with a 16-voice choir to explore this concept. Drawing from the ensemble works of long-standing inspirations Edgard Varèse, György Ligeti and Iannis Xenakis, von Oswald and Vocalconsort Berlin delve into the space between sounds, creating a deeply textured collection that shifts between light & ethereal and dark & dissonant. The compositions were written in von Oswald’s Berlin studio on classic synthesizers, such as the EMS VCS3 & AKS, Prophet V, Oberheim 4-Voice and the Moog Model 15. These abstract recordings were transcribed to sheet music for choir by Berlin-based Finnish composer and pianist, Jarkko Riihimäki and performed by Vocalconsort Berlin in Ölberg church in the city’s Kreuzberg district, only few metres down the road from where Dubplates & Mastering and Hard Wax opened their doors for music enthusiasts for many years so long. The recordings of the choral versions were then incorporated into the synthesized parts of the album and brought into anew electronic context; in Silencio, the focus is not on using one means to imitate the other, but to sonically discuss the tensions and harmonies between the two worlds and create a dialogue between them. Artwork by Cyprien Gaillard.

Head of Wantastiquet/Marble Dust — Marble Dust (Wooden Finger)
Tumblr media
Head of Wantastiquet is Paul LaBrecque’s long-running synth/electronics project. If you’re familiar with LaBrecque it’s likely because he plays guitar in the hoary psychedelic collective Sunburned Hand of the Man. Here he plays some guitar, too, but the predominant flavor comes from Moog, as well as various types of synth (Blofeld, dreadbox and some software synths, according to LaBrecque). Thus while his main project drones and thunders in rock-adjacent way, this one stutters and percolates with electronic elements. You could dance to a couple of these tracks (“Dabke” “Les Nuits sur la Plage de Jabalia”), though even the hedonist intervals play to the head as well as the body.
This music is almost entirely instrumental, but LaBrecque makes it express a point of view anyway. Arab themes and sounds run through these cuts; the track titles can be linked to protest against genocide in Gaza. “La Guerre Contre Les Enfants” (“the war on children”) layers shimmering textures of synthesized sound over one another, a high, silvery keyboard motif and flute-like tones carrying a mournful melody. The percussion, when it enters, is likely electronic, but it rattles and pings and echoes like hand drums in some 21st century souk. “Thawra” (or revolution in Arabic) folds a panting breath into insistent, paranoiac rhythms; a sense of panic, of chase, of desperate courage, is built in. “Dabke” builds an exuberant, syncopated beat out of cowbells, distorted guitar and synth drums, both space-age synth-dance and traditional celebration locked in dialogue.
These Middle Eastern flavors reflect a long-standing preoccupation for LaBrecque, whose first album Trees, Chants and Hollers dedicated a song to Rachel Corrie. Dead Seas from 2010 included “Mavi Marmara,” a song about a ship carrying aid to Palestine that was attacked by the Israelis. While living in Germany, LaBrecque recorded with Ghazi Barakat, a Palestinian-German who he says, “deepened my knowledge about the history.” This album further explores the nexus of Arab sounds and Arab struggle in the context of existential crisis in Gaza.
The most direct allusion to these themes comes in “Tonight, I Will Be Ressurected with the Wind,” whose precise lattice of synth sounds gives way, about halfway through the track, to the haunting sound of female singing. That’s Omayma Jehouani, artist LaBrecque found on Instagram. There and on Youtube, she has an extensive library of vocal clips but little to no identifying information. Her voice, however, is extraordinary, with a lilt and a wobble in it that suggests both joy and sadness.
Though anchored in LaBrecque’s values and beliefs, Marble Dust is by no means polemical. These very human concerns infuse its electronic drones and rhythms with an undeniable spiritual resonance. Not all electronic music has soul, but this record does.
