SlowFi Dub [8-track album]

Simple synths and drum machines blend with textures, noises, and modulated fragments of sound. Some light, some mellow, others deep and shadowed. Explorations and meditations. These tracks surfaced in moments of quiet, shaped by slow rhythms, static, and the hum of electromagnetic waves. A reflection on sound — inspired by UK roots, 80's digi killers and Berlin school dub techno — raw, lo-fi, and unhurried, just unfolding as it is.

Made in Reason mainly with Rack Extensions from Ekssperimental Sounds Studio.

“janet sucks!” her head pokes out from her room, “we HATE janet!” there’s a huff, but her head has already disappeared out of view. she’s never been happier than this moment in all honesty— packing up her self described ‘semi shit-hole room’.

there’s still glass all over the floor and its in complete disarray from the events of the month before, but packing is good. packing means they’re finally getting out of the motel and moving somewhere real, with a mailbox. it’s not home. she’s not sure any place will quite ever be home, but at least she won’t have to stare at a portrait of a creepy dog hung up across from her bed at the motel. progress.

from within the room holly continues, “you never answered my question. how much would it cost?” she’s entirely unserious, although her tone doesn’t indicate that in the slightest. “you don’t have to do anything crazy to her, just scare her a little or something.” pausing with a record album in hand, she runs her hand over the unopened plastic packaging. it’s a rod stewart album, one that she doesn’t recall ever getting. “i can pay by the way! i have savings, y’know.” she drops the album in one of the emptier boxes.
