What gets me is that Arthur’s gesture is so delicate.

I know he wasn’t supposed to make any noise, but still. Arthur doesn’t press his hand on Merlin’s mouth, he just lays it there.

You can see that Arthur didn’t push his palm, and he also takes it off in the same gentle way, oh my god.

I feel like the biggest issue with transferring fantasy to a live action movie is that the redesigns focus too much on realism in context to our world. If that makes any sense. A fantasy creature from a world different from ours wouldn't follow the exact same laws our animals do.

Like in Avatar. The alien monsters are well, alien. But it is an alien world, by all intents and purposes, they are 'realistic.' I guess I should trade the word 'realistic' for 'believable' instead. They fit in with the world around them, they make logical sense in the world that you are presented with.

All of this to say uh. Be silly. Be goofy. Exaggerate those shapes and ecology!!!

I demand an AU where Laios' leg gets fucking crunched during the Red Dragon Battle (re-attachment impossible), and Marcille practices the whole necro-magic first by givin' him a new leg! With Red Dragon Blood/Flesh, he also gets put under the same command as Falin, except since it's only a leg, the curse slowly becomes more and more powerful until the eventual transformation above!!! :D AKA Ah Fuck, Took Too Long Overthrowing the Dungeon Lord, Get Monster'd. Lion + Red Dragon, because I like it. Laios would think it's cool, too, so there. The trade of Cool Monster is Sense of Self / Consciousness eroding into nothing (monster body, monster brain), though, so he's basically on an extra timer to stop/overthrow the Dungeon Lord, or experience a kind of death of sorts. Random idea I had to get outta my head, y'know?

Thinking about how the dragons canonically help with fishing by kind of herding them to the nets but like imagine what that'd mean for whaling and hunting.

Like during that rob/dob era adjustment period, everyone's excited about the increase in food due to the raids ending and dragons now assisting them, but imagine one day one of them (Hookfang) just. Brings back a whole whale to try and one-up the other dragons.

But of course, they can't have that so then the others start doing it as well (some even getting confused and bringing back sharks instead). Too often, actually. Berk's store houses are, for the first time in recent history, almost overflowing with cured meats and the like. They're set for the winter, and its left to poor Hiccup to try and reign it in so the local whale, shark and seabird populations aren't completely devastated.

Read Right to Left (Manga Format)

I have returned to watching demon slayer after a year and it came up while I was having a serious late night talk with my big sister. I was talking about the relationship between Michikatsu/Kokushibo and Yoriichi and it turns out we both see each other in Yoriichi's shoes and ourselves in Michikatsu's place. Definitely surprising, but really relieving to know that we both worry too much and we are not so far apart in skill as we believe.

This is technically the first piece of fanart I've ever made for the characters in Demon Slayer, I have made OCs before but I never drew an actual character from the story. For context this is mostly just a fun "what if" scenario with them meeting in the afterlife. I like to think Yoriichi's love would reawaken Michikatsu's humanity.
