Hi everyone, haven't drawn in a little while but here is my latest. The incredible Patrick Stewart know for role on stage playing many of Shakespeare's characters and on film playing Professor X , J.L.Picard to name a few. Hope people enjoy may attempt I am pleased with it although I can Definatly see were I must improve which of course I will try and do with each new drawing.

COMMISIONS ARE OPEN

Hi, everyone! I’ve been contacted by some fans asking to buy my art, and that sounds really tempting! I want to save up some money for a scanner so that I can take better photos of my art. Also, I would like to figure out if art is something I can do more of (then I can’t keep doing it all for free). So, I figured out that I can do commissions.

COMMISION PRICES

I mostly draw/ paint on paper. I use pen, pencil, charcoal and or acrylic paint. If you want art on canvas or maybe printed on some items, ask me and we’ll discuss if it’s possible and eventually figure out a price!

QUESTIONS

What is monochrome art? Here are some examples: 

What is the extra prices about? I will take extra 10 $ for extra details, detailed background or more than 1-2 characters. So this art with Amira and her friends would cost you 35 $ (Color portrait) + 3 x 10 $ = 65 $. 

What are typical backgrounds? I mostly paint simple backgrounds, something like this:

For the more complex backgrounds, I might ask for an additional fee. 

 GENERAL RULES

These are starting prices. Actual prices can vary with the complexity of your request.

I prefer painting stuff from my own fandoms, like Skam, Druck, Skam Esp, Skam Austin, Skam NL, Lovleg, Good Omens, Gentleman Jack, Star Trek, Star Wars, Captain Marvel, Euphoria. However, I can draw or paint almost anything, SFW and NSFW, fanart and other stuff, and I don’t mind painting from a photo of you or your cat or something.

a description of your character(s) or what you want me to paint/ draw. Please include all information related to their appearance

as many reference pictures as you’ve got (art by others, faceclaims, colour refs etc.)

which of the above styles you’d like

if you prefer pencil, charcoal or paint

amount of characters

whether or not you want an added background

whether or not there’s a deadline (if I don’t have too much to do at once, I can make your art during about a week)

I’ll send you a price & time estimate for your commission.

Payment will be processed before I start with commission. If you’d prefer to arrange payment in a different way, let me know! We can probably work something out that works for the both of us.

You’ll receive a digital high resolution file of your commission. Prints are not included. 

I can mail the art to you, either as original art or as print or both. For people outside of Norway it will be an additional 3 $, for people in Norway an additional 2 $. 

International: Paypal, and be sure to apply ‘business & services’. PayPal fees (5%) to the commissioner’s charge.

Norway: You can use Vipps or Paypal.

If you want to buy art that I have made and posted already, that can sometimes be possible, if I haven’t gifted it to someone already or I no longer have the art. The paper quality of the original art can vary, though. Just ask, and I’ll let you know! 

I’ll send you several updates throughout the process for you to give feedback on. 

If you don’t want me to post the finished image to my social media, please specify beforehand. Also please specify if you don’t want others to buy prints of the art.

Real life people ships (except actual couples, like you and your partner). 

Images that I for some reason don’t feel comfortable with, like if they’re fetishizing, discriminating, violent or illegal. If you’re not certain, just ask, and I’ll promise not to bite.

Little White Lies Research 

Little white lies is a magazine that was published in 2005 and is based in London. The magazines purpose is to discuss film, whilst also involving illustrations and bold noticeable covers. Each individual magazine sets aside the front section to a new film release. The cover uses inspiration from the theme and tone of the specific film. The back portion of the magazine includes reviews of new film releases, interviews and festival reports.   

The title/ logo for the magazine needs to be quite basic so that it can be easily seen as does not distract from the design, as the cover designs can vary between styles, patterns and colour palettes. Over the years the logo for the magazine has changed slightly, as the fonts have changed. 

The covers are most commonly portraits of a main character, the style for each cover is individual. The first two images I found both use the style of pop art, however they differ in colour palette and layout.Showing that although the styles are the same they each issue is unique.The Star Trek issue uses small geometric triangles which further emphasizes the theme of space and technology.

Some covers use limited colour  to make it stand out, for example the Volver issue(above) only uses red and orange with black and white, this allows the title of the film to be easily seen and emphasizes certain areas. However some use a lot of colour to represent the tone of the film, such as the cover for The Mask. Bright and bold colours are used as the film is very upbeat and fast moving, the cover for this film also involves a rip to show the two different aspects of the film whilst also keeping to the contrasted colour palette. On the other hand some covers are in monochrome and only use black and white, for example the black swan and rogue one issues. Despite having no colour the contrast highlights key points.

3: My experience as a Photographer so far.

Thinking about my future career or what I want to do once I graduation is not questions that are new to me. I have been asking myself these questions since I was 17 or 18. I always knew I wanted to attend University and I always knew I wanted to do an MA because I love learning, not because I might need a MA for a job but generally because I love learning and taking on a challenge. Going to University was a challenge, a challenge that I am still trying to win and stay on top of my game. It is hard sometimes.

Asking myself the question: 

What have I done so far in my career that is going to benefit me later on?

I have been studying the arts since I was sixteen. Therefore from being exposed to photography in education from that early age, I have already had and achieve things that will benefit myself in the future. 

At the age of eighteen 

-I had exhibited work for the first time in a group exhibition. My project on display at this exhibition was my first photography project, it was a series of self portraits expressing what my experiences with Mental Health felt like. This project is untitled, but went on to get selected to be apart of an arts festival. Now in September 2019, this project of mine now hangs in the Belfast Recovery College, which is ran by the Belfast Trust and cares for people who suffer from Mental Health. 

At the age of Nineteen

- I booked my first solo exhibition. This exhibition was held in the Mourne Gallery, in my hometown of Kilkeel, Country Down. The collection of photographs on show in this exhibit was images in the subject of my home environment, where I grew up and where I spend the first 19 years of my life.

- I had a second group exhibition, which was my Foundation Art End of Year Show. 

At the age of Twenty  

- I completed six months volunteering at the Belfast Exposed Photography Gallery. 

- I exhibited work at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography in Glasgow, Scotland, this exhibit was a group exhibition of 60 International Photographers.

- I became a writer for the website Trek NI. This role involves writing monthly blog posts about walks and hikes in the island of Ireland and I get to use my own Photographs to illustration my writing and show the viewer what i am discussing.

At the age of Twenty-One

- I become a volunteer photographer for the Woodland Trust UK. This role involves myself working to photography briefs and meeting certain deadlines.

- I travelled from Belfast to Glasgow to attend the exhibition launch of the exhibition ‘Monochrome’ that i was in. This was my second time exhibiting work at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography. 

- I also will have my fourth Solo exhibition in November 2019, for the launch of my project ‘From the Inside out’ exploring and creating an awareness about Epilepsy, Inspired by my own experiences. This exhibition will be at the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre, Newry, Co. Down

In the last four years, I feel I have done quite a bit and I honestly feel all the small things will benefit at some point in the future. I have gained skills and knowledge through all these experiences.
