The same way that Connie gets advice from Bess on the big wedding day about her building anxiety (from remembering what happened last time) mirroring how Adonis seeks help from Wolf.
He could ask Harry, Bob, Tom and Jake, and he has. Theyâre just all very DIFFERENT from him. He wants the opinion of another gent that knows him best ⌠his brother.
âI feel like Iâm forgetting something. Am I forgetting something? Do you think Connie is okay? I heard Bess was with her ⌠oh gods, did I force her to move too fast? S-Should I go to her, do you think? Am I just an old fool for wanting this to work? You have permission to poke and prod me for this forever, but ⌠I need someone to help me calm down. ACTUALLY calm down. If I accepted every shot or cigar Iâve been offered this evening, Iâd be on the floor in a pile dizzy and huffing like some freshman.â
Wolf wouldn't be able to help himself from smirking a little bit at his brother. It's been a long time since he's seen his twin this worked up and worried. At least, without the presence and actions of Christmas spirits being behind it all. He just takes a chair and sits calmly in front of the door to keep Adonis from bolting out. It's not the fact Adonis will run away, but the fact, in this state, he'll bolt to Connie and make a fool of himself being in nothing but his drawers. (The creases in his pant legs were not acceptable, according to Magda, so she's fixing them last minute.)
"I received specific instructions from the ladies you're not to see Connie until the first look/she comes down the aisle (you pick what you want them to do, Romey). So, you try leaving this room before then, and I'll knock you flat on your bloody arse just like I used to when we were children. You're not putting me in the doghouse with Bess."
"I'm not being funny, Charlie."
"Neither am. Look, Sammy, Connie is fine. She has Bess and the girls taking care of her. In fact, I'm willing to wager she's in a far better state than you at the moment. Are you sure the pink hearts are the skivvies you want to go with?"
"Charlie! I'm asking you for help, and you decide commentary on my undergarments is the best possible solution!"
"Connie got them for you, didn't she?"
Adonis makes an explosive noise that's part incredulous laugh and part frustrated huff. He throws out his wide wingspan in defeat. "Yes! Yes, as a matter of fact, she did! Are you happy?! Is that what you wanted to know?!"
He turns away to cross the small room and flop onto a lounge on the other side. Covering his face with both hands he massages his brow. "Bloody brothers! You ask them to help get your thoughts in order and they just wind you up to boil and spin!"
Wolf rolls his eyes at the dramatics, but a good-natured smile curls his lips. "All right, all right, Sammy, cool down. I'm sorry. What do you need me to do? Go through the checklist again?"
His twin's desperate but miffed voice is a bit muffled behind his thick palms: "Yes, that would be quite helpful , thank you!"
"Fine. Do you have the ring?"
One of Adonis' hands goes to his breast pocket. "Yes."
"Good. What about your vows? I'm sure you've memorized them by now, but do you have them just in case?"
Adonis sits up and reaches inside his suit jacket to finger inside the hidden pocket. He finds the note cards. "Yes."
"Good. You have your tie. Your jacket. Cufflinks. You have your watch with Connie's portrait in the lid?"
"At the suite, wrapped up. I've decided to present it to her tonight as a wedding gift."
Wolf smiles a bit softly at the endearing sentimentality. "She'll love that," he remarks sincerely.
Adonis gives him a hopeful look. "Do you really think so?"
"I know so."
Adonis smiles a little.
"All right," Wolf huffs. "The ring, the watch, tie, jacket, cufflinks, waistcoat. Soon as Magda finishes your trousers, I think you're all set, Brother. So what are you so worried about?"
His twin's expression turns irked again: Weddings certainly seemed to make men just as emotionally volatile as women. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe it has something to do with the fact I'm wedding the most amazing and gorgeous woman in the world who, for reasons beyond human comprehension, has chosen to love and marry me above anyone else and I'd rather not flub this chance up like I have before and hurt her more than she already has been?" He's a bit red-faced at the end of his diatribe, panting and puffing so the buttons on his waistcoat slightly strain.
Wolf just blinks placidly back. "Sammy. You overthink things."
"Oh, that's jolly rich coming from you, Mr. Should-I-or-shouldn't-I-tell-Bess-fancy-her?-Nevermind!-Better-to-just-pine-like-a-lovesick-puppy."
Wolf's mouth twists in annoyance but he just breathes deeply. "I'll let that go, in lieu of the high-stress events of the day," he states.
"Also because you can't deny it," Adonis mutters.
A slight flush colors Wolf's face at that, but he chooses to ignore once again. "Sammy, tell me: Do you not want to marry Constance?"
"No, of course I want to marry her! She's the best thing that's ever happened to me; the sunlight of my life! I-I didn't realize it was possible to love someone as deeply and fully as I love Connie. She's my everything."
"But...?"
"... But... do I deserve her, Charlie? With my history? I neglected and abandoned Isabel and lost her. And, while I've tried my hardest to change from what I was... who's to say I won't do that again? I didn't realize it was happening last time until it was far too late. Bloody hell, I don't think I recognized it until that Christmas Eve! How do I know I won't miss the slip ups again?"
Adonis buries his face in his hands as he shakes his head. "I can't lose Constance, Charlie. Losing Isabel due to my own foolishness ruined me almost past hope. Losing Constance to it would end me, I fear."
With a sigh, Wolf rubs his chin in thought for a moment before rising from his chair and trodding the small distance to the lounge. He sits down beside his brother and clasps his shoulder in a warm, brotherly grip. "Sammy, do you want to know the difference between your relationship to Isabel and your relationship to Connie?"
"What?"
"You just told me Connie is your everything. As much as you loved her, you never ever once said that about Isabel."
Adonis slowly lifts his head and looks at his brother in silent realization.
Wolf smiles encouragingly at him.
Suddenly there is a knock on the door and it opens to reveal Magda. Beaming, she holds up a long pair of freshly ironed trousers and sings: "They're perfect now!"

Who would you most like to see in the Quack Pack from Donald's family, friends and rivals (Donald Duck comics)?
New survey, and I'll gradually get back to my version of Quack Pack (Quack Pack AU to be exact), so if you're more interested, check and read here: https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/post/760291074496495616/quack-pack-au-or-quack-pack-reboot-my-version-or
As you know the Quack Pack is mainly Donald Duck, his girlfriend Daisy Duck and Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck as teenagers in that series, and there is also Donald's supposed uncle Ludwig von Drake. Unfortunately many of the famous comic book and cartoon characters from Donald's family didn't appear so I'm putting up a poll as your opinion, if by any chance a Quack Pack reboot or Quack Pack comics or Quack Pack or to see my version of Quack Pack who would you the following characters from comics and cartoons would you like to see there?
Otherwise, if you ask further, I will immediately say that after that there will be maybe two or three more polls related to that, but this is just for fun. The two or three characters who win the most go further and that means you want those characters the most. By the way, for Daisy's nieces in the Quack Pack I would expect them to be teenagers but based on how they look like in the Dutch comics. As for Minima de Spell who would also be a teenager. Scrooge would definitely wear a Scottish kilt in the Quack Pack. Certainly in my opinion they all deserve it in my version of the Quack Pack, but again your opinion and choice stands.
The next survey will be in one week after this survey. If you're wondering how I would envision certain of these characters in my version of the Quack Pack, look here at my art blog: https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/
And yes, I would imagine the next version of Quack Pack to be more based on the comics, but that's my take. What is your opinion and your choice of these characters?
If there is a chance and you choose your favorite characters, I might draw some of them in the Quack Pack version of your choice.
If you have any doubts and questions about this, feel free to tell me. Your choice. Enjoy!
#poll#is that qp is more based on classic shorts but in a modern way but I would like qp to be more based on comics in the next version#no this has nothing to do with the dt17 version#quack pack#quackpack#donald duck#daisy duck#duckverse#ducktales#disney ducks#huey dewey and louie#duck comics#scrooge mcduck#magica de spell#gyro gearloose#fethry duck#april may and june#april may and june duck#dickie duck#gus goose#gladstone gander#newton gearloose#rumpus mcfowl#grandma duck#elvira coot#shamrock gander#dugan duck#minima de spell#other characters#disney duckverse

WELL. 90s and modern day AU looks for Scrooge and Marley.
I played around with modernizing their facial hair as well:
Clean shaven for Scrooge. Marley gets to keep the mustache because he's mentally still in the 80s anyway.
I... surprisingly don't hate it?

One Breakfast At A Time -Modern!AU (Costance/Ebenezer) (Minific)
Morning light, diffused by the early morning clouds into a rosy glow that draped across London like a diaphanous net, seeped through the curtains. Ebenezer Scrooge, very much alert but moving the speed of molasses, inched out of his loverâs embrace without waking her, unwinding himself from the tangle or arms and bedsheets.
Constance DoGoode, his girlfriend of half a year, snoozed happily, smiling against her pillow as she turned away from the rays of sunlight seeping through the curtains.
She hugged the stuffed, silk-covered pillow beneath her head, auburn hair cascading down the milky fabric in waves of molten copper.
âMmmâŚ.light as a feather, happy as an angelâŚâ Constance mumbled in her sleep. âMm, very merryâŚâ
His hand went to his mouth as he chuckled with the utmost fondness at the sight. Constance was a heavy sleeper and dreamer, heâd learned. She often talked in her sleep, and he couldnât help but be curious as to what she was dreaming about.
In addition to providing a series of amusing moments heâd often reveal to her later that morning, her murmuring also helped to confirm her lingering distraction.
With her still asleep, he could jump into action.
After making sure Constance was still asleep, he moved with quiet grace and giddiness to the kitchen of his London flat, collecting ingredients from the fridge and utensils to prepare a special breakfast. Their night together had been a private symphony of sighs, moans, and laughter, and now Ebenezer was determined to make the morning just as memorable.
With care, he selected fresh eggs, ripe tomatoes, and a medley of herbs from the kitchen's small garden, which he kept on a small windowsill. Years ago, he would have scoffed at the idea of stocking his kitchen so fully. Fresh food was a waste of money, as far as heâd been concerned. Now, the redeemed philanthropist couldn't help but smile to himself as he went about cooking, eager to surprise her with a homemade breakfast.
It wasnât much, he supposed. He was no chef, but he took great joy in cooking for the woman he loved. It was the first time heâd done something like this for another, but heâd been planning the surprise for a week, when heâd used her late-shift at the coffee house as the opportunity to sneak some ingredients from the market and up into his fridge before leaving again to pick her up.
Predictably, sheâd spent the night, so he was glad to have planned ahead.
In the cozy kitchen, he hummed a gentle tune as he worked. The clinking of dishes and the sizzle of ingredients provided a domestic harmony alongside him.
Meanwhile, Constance stirred in the bedroom, awakening to the comforting and savory scents wafting through the air. She stretched and yawned, her eyes fluttering open to the soft light that spilled into the room.
She shivered a bit, bare from their time together the night before, and reached across the bed for her discarded pajamas. She eased into the silk short and matching camisole with ease before retreating back to the warmth of the covers. It was tempting to roll over into her boyfriend's abandoned spot, where she knew the aroma of his cologne
Just as she nestled back in, she heard the clinking of cutlery and creak of soft footsteps on the flatâs historic hardwood floors.
Ebenezer entered the bedroom, a tray balanced in his hands with an array of delectable treats. A soft smile played on his lips as he approached the bed, where Constance sat up, blinking away the remnants of sleep.
"Good morning," he greeted her, his eyes reflecting the joy of the moment.
Constance's face lit up in response. "Good morning. What's all this?" she asked, eyeing the tray with curiosity.
"Breakfast in bed," Ebenezer announced, setting the tray before her. "I-Itâs nothing much. Just a  little something to make the morning special."
The tray bore a feast for the senses â fluffy scrambled eggs with herbs, slices of perfectly ripe tomatoes, and a steaming cup of rich coffee (which he knew she preferred over breakfast tea). A small vase with a single, delicate flower adorned the tray, adding a touch of elegance.
As Constance took in the scene before her, she couldn't help but feel a rush of warmth. "Nothing much? Ebenezer, this is wonderful! You didn't have to."
"I wanted to," he replied, settling down beside her on the bed. "To many more mornings just like this."
As they finished breakfast, Constance thanked him with another kiss on the cheek. âDo you need help with the dishes?"
âOh, no, Iâll get them,â he said, stacking them on the tray artfully.
After multiple reassurance, he finally convinced her to leave the task to him.
As Constance disappeared into the bathroom for her morning shower, Ebenezer carried the tray to the kitchen sink with a smile. The clinking of plates and silverware echoed in the otherwise quiet flat provided a comforting soundtrack to his thoughts. When added to by the sound of rushing water from the shower bathroom
As he scrubbed plates clean in the sink, his mind wandered to the journey that had led him to this moment. Constance had walked into his life like a gentle sunrise, slowly illuminating the corners of his heart that had long been shrouded in shadows. Their connection felt deeper with each passing day, and he found himself reflecting onâŚwell, just how much she meant to him.
The realization hit him with profound clarity â Constance wasn't just a fleeting chapter in his life. The thought of a future without her seemed unimaginable. It definitely wasnât a future he wanted to live.
With the dishes neatly arranged and Constance still singing in the shower, Ebenezer dried his hands and settled into a moment of quiet contemplation. His heart swelled with affection, and the idea of a future together began to crystallize in his mind.
Proposing, the notion whispered softly through his thoughts. The word lingered in the air, carrying with it a promise of shared tomorrows. Ebenezer had never been one for impulsive decisions, but with Constance, it felt different â as if their connection transcended the ordinary rules of time.
A smile played on his lips as he envisioned the day he would ask her to be his forever. He could almost hear the words, feel the weight of the ring in his pocket, and see the joy in her eyes. Yet, he knew that such a moment required careful planning, the right setting, and the perfect words to properly and artfully convey the depth of his feelings.
Lost in these musings, he was startled by the sound of the shower shutting off. Constance emerged, wrapped in a towel, her laughter mingling with the remaining traces of steam in the air. She caught his eye, and the room seemed to brighten with her presence.
"What's got you smiling so much?" she asked, her eyes dancing with curiosity.
Ebenezer chuckled, his heart still dancing to the melody of his thoughts. "Just thinking about the future," he replied, reaching out to gently tuck a strand of damp hair behind her ear. "And how fortunate I am to have you in it."
She leaned in, pressing a sweet kiss to his cheek. "I feel the same way."
In that ordinary yet extraordinary morning, Ebenezer's heart swelled with the certainty that, someday, he would ask Constance to be his forever.
Until then, he would continue to try and show her with every passing moment just how much he adored her. One shared breakfast as a time.

The Sky is Full of Light, Swirling in Spirals Bold and Bright (Modern AU Jacob/Ebenezer)
A separate Modern AU Scrooge x Marley thing set in 2011 I have had in the works for a while and I felt I had to share the hurt/comfort with you all. Prepare for lots of comfort and lots of hurt.
TW: Child Abandonment
(UNDER THE CUT)
Say what you will about the rain or the fog or the pollution, but there was no denying that Canary Wharf was beautiful on a snowy night.
It was customary for both of them, Jacob and Ebenezer supposed, to walk the path of the Thames on their Sunday strolls. No matter the busyness of life that accompanied them wherever they went or whenever the frosty December air nipped at their cheeks, this had been a constant. A constant in a continuously changing world that tended to leave old souls like them far behind. There was nothing more inherently magical than watching the beauty of the moonlight, bold and bright, dance across the reflection of the water, shifting and changing like the tides of the ocean. Towering buildings looming over like sentinels, secret and solitary, kept their mysteries hidden behind illuminated windows. Manufactured, ersatz stars in a city that often blocked out the real ones.
Jacob believed the financial district a modern wonder of the world. Ebenezer believed it a testament to the ingenuity of the human mind. But both knew it to be a home to the sprawling empire they built together with their blood, sweat and tears. A way to prove to the world that they would not be shackled by the chains of a flawed society. It was imperfect and rough and dented and bandaged and healed and beautiful. It was so⌠so beautiful. No one would take it away, even if they had to fight tooth and nail to protect it.
The distant sounds of traffic faded away as their feet gently crunched through the fresh snowfall, walking in companionable silence as the pavement was blanketed in the purest white.
âHey Ben⌠you wanna grab dinner while weâre out?â Jacob asked, looking up at his husband, his voice barely above a whisper against the tranquil backdrop of the winter night. His cane â now more an accessory than the aid it had been in recent months â rested under his arm.
âMm⌠sure.â Ebenezerâs voice was muffled against the thick, colourful scarf wound tightly around his neck, lips hidden beneath the fabric. âItâs half-past nine, though. Not many options.â
âWhat about Big Easy?â
Ebenezer let out an uncharacteristic snort. âChristâs sake Jacob, weâve been there a hundred times at least! Sooner or later, Iâll wake up and find youâve become part of the menu.â
It didnât go unnoticed how their gloved hands locked together, Jacob pulling him a little closer, shoulders brushing as he leaned against Ebenezer as he beamed with a grin to rival the Cheshire Catâs infamous quirk.
âYou mean you wouldnât love me as a lobster?â He asked, his voice whiny and hurt despite the clear smile.
Ebenezer rolled his eyes playfully at Jacobâs antics, elbowing him slightly. âOnly if you came with a side of butter. Maybe then Iâd consider it.â
Jacob laughed. âYou drive a hard bargain, love, but Iâll take it if it means I get to see you smile like that.â
Damn it, over three decades of knowing this lovable bastard of a man and still the Silver-Tongued Viper could be one hell of a charmer when he wanted to be. Ebenezer had to concede to his wit when he felt his heart flutter with stupidly sincere warmth and affection, and he could feel his lips tug upwards into a smile despite his âbestâ efforts to maintain that impish frown upon his face.
It was disgustingly cute. It was maddeningly sweet. It was incredibly endearing. It was them.
And wouldnât you know it, but for the first time in a long time, they liked being them.
Conversation flowed easily between the both of them, touching on subjects that happened to strike their fancy. Expanding into Asian markets when the year turned, whether Home Alone or Elf would be their chosen movie for the season, even the upcoming charity gala they planned to host for those unable to celebrate the holidays with loved ones. Those pedestrians who passed them by looked as if they had gone mad from how uncanny it was. How could they not? Look at the way they handled themselves as if there wasnât a care in the world! Look at the merriment that had been remarkably absent from the bustling cityâs harried inhabitants! Look at how such wondrous, wonderful wanderers of the world held the sparkle of Londonâs lights captive in their eyes! It was the purest form of adoration, the kind of contentment only developed from years of trials and hardships.
As the clock drew closer to ten, they found themselves treading upon a quieter, less-frequented stretch of path, the snow intensifying and blanketing the city deeper around them in an angelâs caress. Their discussions grew more hushed, then, the intimacy of the night only deepening their connection, as if all the worries and cruelty of the past had been washed away like the river they walked alongside.
SIlence soon overtook their words⌠and it was in that comfortable silence that they heard it.
Jacob noticed the way Ebenezer seemed to freeze for a moment, his powerful stride slowing to a hesitant shuffle. It was a whimper so weak, a plaintive cry so faint that one wouldâve mistaken it for the icy breeze had it not been for the notes of distress and the rustles of fern that accompanied it.
âIs something wrong, Ben?â
He didnât answer, instead moving forward with cautious steps. The rustling and whimpering continued, and Ebenezer lowered himself down to the ground, snow seeping into his trousers as he inspected a cluster of bushes near the path. Jacob followed close behind, leaning against his cane for support.
In the dim moonlight, Ebenezerâs gloved fingers gently brushed away the dense thicket, snow crunching beneath his touch. The cries were more prominent now, high-pitched and shrill. The kind of sounds that pierced the heart and demanded attention, needs and comfort.
The pained cries of an infant. An infant no more than a few months old, bundled up in a thin pink blanket ripped to shreds by the thorns of the surrounding bush. Her shut eyes were red and blotchy from crying, her tiny fists clenched and raised helplessly in the air. She appeared to sense a saviour, and her lips quivered as she let out another desperate wail.
âMother-love in infancy and childhood is just as important for mental health as are vitamins and proteins for physical health.â
âHoly shit- Ben, get the kid out of there!â
Ebenezerâs heart raced as he carefully reached into the thorny bush, cradling the baby girl gently into his arms, careful not to disturb her more than necessary. She was so small, so fragile, so thin, so cold⌠and already she had been exposed to the harshness of the world that took years to corrupt them.
It wasnât fair.
It wasnât fair.
âJacob, call 999. Now.â Ebenezer instructed, holding the babe close to his chest. His voice seemed monotonous and unnatural, as cold as the air around him and as distant as the hum of the city. Flat. Still.Â
But the ocean was never still. The ocean was never calm. The wind howled and the waters rose with every minute that passed, ever furious and ever ruthless. Poseidon was angered by the cunning Odysseusâ transgressions against his child, and the lord of the seas raged against the wretched, lamentable mortals who thought themselves beyond divine punishment.
There was no justice. No salvation. No love for this life barely living. What cutting fangs would this monster have? What savage roar would follow it wherever it went? What weaknesses could be exploited from this dangerous beast? What weapons would be needed to slay it?
Jacob fumbled for his phone, throwing off one of his gloves as trembling fingers dialled for emergency services. Ebenezer heard naught of what was said, deafened by the piercing cries of the child in his arms, frantic in her fearful communication, overwrought in her outpour of mournful wails.
âTheyâre on their way, Ben.â The words spilling out of Jacobâs mouth was barely coherent in his speed, but it was enough to Ebenezer all the same.
âHold her, Jake.âÂ
âWh-â
âJust do it.â
Jacob nodded, taking the shivering infant into his arms, shielding her beneath his jacket. She whimpered under the sudden shift of movement from beneath her, but the warmth of his embrace seemed to garner some comfort. She settled into his hold, her tiny fingers grasping at one of his exposed digits, clinging onto it as if it was a lifeline.
Ebenezer swiftly unfurled the scarf wrapped around him, the tassels flinging about in the breeze from the rough force of his movements. But his touch was lighter as a feather as he cocooned the little girl, bundling her up from the snow that only seemed to fall faster with each passing moment.
âShh⌠itâs okay, little one.â He cooed, fingers brushing over the delicate skin of her cheek as he adjusted the scarf around her tiny form. âYouâre safe now.â
The baby's cries began to subside, her eyes blinking open to reveal a pair of the most innocent, wide-eyed amber orbs that Ebenezer had ever seen. It was like honey. It was like spiralling gold, shimmering against smokey hues of white and grey.
Jacob looked up to his husband, his lower lip quivering as he held her close. âCan it really be said that such a small and innocent thing is safe, Ben?â
But when his gaze was met with a burning determination- a whirlpool of resolve⌠heâd known the beast had awakened within. He knew that when Ebenezer Scrooge set his mind to somethingâŚ
âŚit was almost surely a success.
âWe donât live alone. We are members of one body. We are responsible for each other. And I tell you that the time will soon come when, if men will not learn that lesson, then they will be taught in fire and blood and anguish.â
They stayed with her when the sirens began to close in. They stayed with her when the paramedics arrived to examine her. They stayed with her as the authorities questioned them for information. They stayed with her even as she was taken away to the hospital to receive proper care.
And sheâd never know of her bloodline, not one bit of them or their cruelty. Not their names or their birthdays, their eye colour, blood type, hair. Not their favourite shoes or shows, their favourite foods or the stories and lullabies they might have sung in another life. All she would know is the kindness of two old, damaged, trying men who found her in the snow âneath the moonlight.
For all she knew, they would be her parents.
And that⌠that would be more than enough for her.
â...Good night.â Tagged: @rom-e-o @a-christmas-carol-from-hr @quill-pen @undeadchestnut @m0nsterwife

I like to imagine that, while the Scrooge twins have always prioritized certain things about their appearance (hair especially) they never really thought to treat themselves to more. They thought it was a waste, or they didnât deserve it. Also, maybe just a little bit of some leftover âact like a manâ trauma from dad.
Buuuut, they meet the wifeysâŚ
And they help the twins learn to treat themselves. They do hair care, massages, long bubble baths with their spouse, the works.
I feel itâs not uncommon for Bess and Connie to be on a face call, and each hubby is in the background. One in a mud mask, the other in cozy PJs with an eye mask ready to deploy.
Spa days become normal. đ
I've actually had little visions of this before. Like, Bess and Wolf curled up on the couch with their hair turbaned up reading together or watching a movie. And then Wolf falling asleep because he just feels so relaxed.
I love the idea of one of the hubbies walking through the background of the call, not really paying attention to where he is in frame, and then:
"... Was that Adonis/Wolf in a charcoal mask?"
*cue raucous, manly laughter in the background*
"And just what are you laughing at, avacado face?"

Funny how writing a post about a muppet christmas carol can lead to it getting demoted from best christmas carol adaptation
#guess Iâm going to have to make another 40k note post next year about scrooge 1970 to balance it oht#thereâs a lot of factors that I think go into it. the heavier emphasis on the horror elements. more songs with a more melancholy tone#contrasted with the triumphant crowd numbers that make a bitch openly weep#the absolute pathetic wretch that is Albert Finneyâs scrooge. not to mention how good obi wan kenobi marley is in his movements or just.#the ghost of christmas present who I love deeply#the ultimate messaging being that generosity and happiness are deliberate and difficult to give to people when youâre miserable but that is#exactly what is wrong with the modern capitalist mindset#and it goes down no matter what level youâre at#but one of the biggest things for me is the fucking final line and moment of the film that shit is going to bring me to goddamn tears one#day I tell you. thinking about it I want to.#anyway Iâm unwell also about albert finney in general bc while michael cain is absolutely the hottest scrooge I havenât seen a truly more#pathetic scrooge than albert finney which will always endear me to characters like this#anyway. people Iâm gonna beg next year to see scrooge because jesus christ#ALSO CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE TITLE CARD ART??!?!?!!!#GOD#scrooge 1970

joke version of a christmas carol; or like movie version that's set in the spirited universe: where the Scrooge character is immediate repentant when the ghosts come and is like "[family member, friend, coworker, whoever] is mad at me? i'll do anything to fix this!" but a lot of the issues are interpersonal issues, and even the ones that aren't reveal, like a lot of personal information... so when the Scrooge goes about reforming things in their life, they inadvertently alarm/creep everyone out bc they're like how the fuck did u KNOW about [secret resentment i never told you about/intimate personal detail that you COULDNT HAVE KNOWN]" and the Scrooge is just like "um. christmas ghosts....?"
#a christmas carol#spirited#? sort of bc im sort of envisioning this as in a spirited sort of verse#but also this could very much work with traditional scrooge#depending whether u wanted it to be a full fledged parody or a more serious comedy#or even like with modern setting ala scrooged#idk

Modern day AU Scrooge/Marley concept: they connect on a GRINDR equivalent but because they don't post face pics neither realizes who the other actually is. Ebenezer is mortified when he arrives for their planned hookup and sees it's his boss, but--after getting over his initial shock--Marley thinks the whole thing is serendipity.
Ooooh, what a DISASTER! I love it
Realistically, this is probably the only way those two emotionally repressed dorks would ever actually end up with each other.
#I'm really going to have to draw up some modern day au looks for them huh#wait where would they work in a modern setting?#would they just be regular old bankers?#since loansharking is very much illegal#also laughing at the thought that Marley has probably hooked up with more blind dates than he can count#but when Scrooge tries it for the first time he IMMEDIATELY ends up with his boss#bad luck follows this man wherever he goes#scrooge x marley#ask#theoldandnewfirm
