After inhaling noir detective films I have begun to throw it back up, now with transformers.

I haven't figured out the actual mystery of this AU yet, but the gist of it is that chase, something of a hobbyist lollipop man/traffic warden now that there isn't so much work for a not-quite-a-cop but not-quite-a-civilian.

When Chase started this side gig, the area was dangerous thanks to its popularity amongst speedsters and drag racers. But a guy with too much free time and the power to issue a dozen fixed speeding fines an hour was enough to discourage speeding in the area, and as a result accidents.

Despite his efforts, the history books remained the same. This area had a history of reckless driving. So when Chase is the sole witness to a frantic driver fatally crashing, he is the only one who seems to think this was abnormal. Without the power to press the issue, and nothing but some bits of potentially missed evidence stashed away crudely after the fact, Chase has no choice but to try and forget what he saw.

That is until Chase is visited by Nightbeat, a detective decidedly not authorised to be pursuing a closed case. But when Chase tells him he thinks there's more to this, Detective Nightbeat listens. And when Nightbeat asks Chase to help him with a minor errand- in the name of justice of course- Chase isn't aware of how deep this rabbit hole would go when he obliges.

So this doll is evil and bad and will make every child that lays eyes on her instantly anorexic. If they play with her once they will immediately succumb to starvation and die. This is bad because being thin inherently promotes restrictive eating disorders.

But this is fine. This won't cause kids to immediately develop BED and become obese. Playing with this once won't instantly make them balloon up to 300lbs. This is apparently good because restrictive eating disorders are bad but binge eating disorders are fine. Something to strive for, even.

Because being obese isn't unhealthy too? Because nobody dies from weight-related illnesses, right? That's surely never happened.

Being skinny: gross, unacceptable, dangerous, will cause 800 million little girls to start micro-managing calories the very instant they unbox her.

Being obese: beautiful, desirable, healthy, will empower girls to reject diet culture and shovel as much deep fried shit into their mouths as humanely possible (a good and positive thing!) the minute they unbox her.

If one ED is bad, if one doll promotes EDs simply by existing in her body size, then the opposite end ED is also bad and this doll also promotes EDs simply by existing in her body size.

If they just made a new character that happened to be obese I wouldn't care. But to totally alter this doll because "she promotes anorexia," and update her so she is massively fucking fat while just conveniently ignoring the very real dangers of obesity, that is a hypocrisy that pisses me right off.

I originally followed you because of your Cybersix fanart, and I love that now you also draw MDZS. Could you maybe draw Adrian/Cybersix and Lucas making googly eyes at each other?
