genuinely nothing makes me more emotional than seeing the creativity in My Little Pony toys die.

g1 was honestly incredible, there was so much love and so much creativity put into those toys. there wasn't just the standard unicorn, pegasus and earth pony no- there were princesses, various types of baby ponies, flutter ponies, sea ponies. and that's just the types of ponies there were SO many gimmicks, talking ponies, ponies with secret compartments, ponies with lipstick, ponies that tails moved (seriously that is so fucking cute) there was so much variety and CLEARLY they were made to last because they're still standing 40 years later.

sure hasbro kept up the gimmicks with other generations and even kept varieties of ponies for example the breezies in G3 but god. G5. the toys make me so sad man. i see them every time I go to the supermarket and they're so cheaply made, they all have the same face and there's no personality at all.

my little pony really lost the magic and it's devasting.

my little pony n friends is just such a perfect show. there's no main cast (except megan and her siblings) BUT!!! the ponies all have characters traits, they have flaws, they have insecurities!! they're so easy to fall in love with and adore their characters.

and it's such a fun show!!! one minute you're on the edge of your seat because lickety split accidentally made a wish for it never to rain again and now it's so hot!!! and the sea ponies are dying! but then everything is resolved and the next episode is about the baby ponies discovering imagination for the first time. genuinely i am liking this show more than fim, it's such a good show and I CANNOT recommend it enough!!!

These are from the G1 My Little Pony 'n Friends presskit. However, there are some oddities! Megan is in a different outfit, Spike has wings, Sparkler and Tirac don't appear in MLP 'n Friends, and Flutterbye isn't in any animated show.

But most intriguing to me is Danny, who has a totally different design and is older than the version we got.

This also confirms that this kid on the cover of Escape from Catrina is Danny:
