ive actually never thought about mlm love square. but for you anon? okay!

ladynoir: ifl mlm ladynoir would spar so much and be a lot more competitive about whos in charge. boy ladybug is a bit of a dick about how Being the ladybug miraculous holder makes him the de facto leader and when master fu starts training him he rubs it in chat noirs face. chat noirs retort is always about how master fu clearly thinks he doesn’t NEED his hand held because he’s so obviously the more competent one. secretly he is very sad that master fu doesn’t gaf about him. boy ladybug also slowly stops bragging about all the responsibility because he realizes its not a title of honor but a heavy rock he’s been saddled with but he can’t look weak in front of chat or he won’t ever let him live it down. one day they get into a shouting match that ends with them passionately making out only to run away after because What The Fuck

adrienette: ifl boy marinette would be the perfect like. all rounder. good at gaming, good at sports, best grades in the class, extremely talented at fashion design. bro would be drowning in bitches and equally oblivious about the fact that everyone wants him so fucking bad. like without misogyny he would fly so high. adrien would have complicated feelings about him bc gabriel would weirdly compare them and be like if not for the inferiority of his birth, he would be a better son for myself than you <- or something else fucked up that cuts adrien deep. but then gabriel finds out that boy marinette is a mlm and never speaks of him again. even tells adrien not to hang around him OR imitate him in anyway. praises adrien for being a good straight son (without directly saying straight…? idk) and it only makes adrien more determined to become friends w marionette

marichat: chat noir sees marinette on his rooftop balcony and is like um Hey i know we barely know each other but i heard about u coming out recently and Uhhh i hope ur okay i heard the Agreste brand rejected you for their summer program because of it and that really sucks and hes like oh. thank you. i dont know how you heard about that but thats really nice. im okay really. my parents are really supportive and the fact that gabriel agreste is homophobic makes me not want to have anything to do with him or his brand. and chat is like oh… everything? even his… son? and boy marinette is like are u kidding? adriens one of the best people i know. i feel bad that he has to live with a father like that. and chat is like yeah. me too. and marinette is like confused like did u come here just to talk to me about adrien agreste? and chat is like oh um. i actually um. came here to ask for advice on coming out bc im gay…? its half an excuse because every night he thinks about the time he kissed boy ladybug but also he does not know what his sexuality is. hes like. its almost as if hes not allowed to like men. and yet… ANYWAY. marionette is like um. i guess coming out advice number one. don’t tell ur parents if ur dad is someone like gabriel agreste. and he laughs and chat is like haha! so funny! thank god im not adrien agreste! would suck to be him if he was gay! and boy marinette shrugs and is like eh. i doubt adrien’s gay anyway. i hope for his sake that he isn’t

ladrien: something happens that makes adrien’s identity as chat noir almost get compromised and he lies to boy ladybug and is like uh… i have the biggest crush on chat noir? he was um. my gay awakening? and ladybug gets a little jealous because hes in love w adrien and its like wow of fucking COURSE adrien likes chat noir. of course chat noir’s the hot sexy one who gets all the men he wants without even trying! his charms totally dont work on boy ladybug tho. of course not. them kissing that one time never happened. anyway in his annoyance he tells adrien hes free to go for chat noir because there’s no way he’d turn down Adrien Agreste™ and adrien is like hang on how did u know that chat noir’s gay????? and ladybug panics like FUCK did i just out chat based on what i know as boy marinette???? and he backtracks like WHAAAAAT no um i have no idea what chat noir’s sexuality is just um dont u think chat noir looks gay??? gives off such a gay vibe??????? and adrien is like WYM CHAT NOIR LOOKS GAY LIKE WHAT DID HE DO???? and its just a disaster all around

Top 4 ships:

Lovesquare (Miraculous), DJwifi is great too, but the irony and the shenanigans of the lovesquare win. I have a slight preference for Marichat stuff, but all sides are valid and great (even if snekmouse is clearly the best and has so many canon scenes to back it up). Adrien and Marinette are just pawsome! I usually lean towards mlm or wlw ships, but other than Marc and Nathaniel (who have some great fics and fanarts), none really caught my attention in Miraculous and the lovesquare is funny, full of love and trust and simply miraculous.

Spierfeld, Bram and Simon from the Simonverse by Becky Albertalli. I loved the books and the movie and Simon allowed me to accept my homosexuality, so I'm a little biased, but they're both so relatable, I was scared sometimes because I had similar thoughts. I'm a mix of Bram, Simon and Leah honestly. She was so relatable in Leah on the Offbeat.

Sidlink, Link and Sidon from Breath of the Wild, though Zelink is really close. Like, I still remember meeting Sidon and spending way too much time at Zora's Domain looking at him and following him.

Arkos, Jaune and Pyrrha (RWBY), though I ship Jaune with Neptune, Sun or doggo guy from Vol. 8 (I can't remember his name and I feel so bad). Marrow! Arkos is wholesome and Bumblebee is god tier too!

A bonus one but it's platonic: Toothless and Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon. It's top tier friendship and you can't convince me otherwise. They made me cry so much, it's unreal.

Last song I listened to: Indomitable from RWBY Vol. 6's soundtrack. It's really good and always make me feel a little better. Le mur qui nous sépare is pretty neat too, but I grow tired of it after a while.

Last film I watched: Big Hero Six. I was in a Baymax mood (he's the perfect robot, don't sue me). I'm satisfied with my care.

Currently reading: Miraculous fics. Adrienette month is ending, but we were fed so much good content, it was purrty clawsome. For books, I recently finished Red White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuinston, it was really good! It felt like reading a fanfic, but it's a "real" book. The relationship between the character is well written, and I'd pay so much to live in that alternate universe. Gimme the miraculous, I'll wish for it XD.

Currently craving: Affection Something sweet like chocolate chips and banana cookies. I'm a Tikki at heart... or just for my cravings because I'm probably more like Plagg.

w abt marinette x ladybug

see, if it was the case that marinette and ladybug were two different people and adrien was still chat noir, i feel like marinette x ladybug wouldn’t be that popular. at least not compared to the lovesquare. it’d probably be about as popular as any other wlw pairing in the current fandom and get overshadowed by the whole adrienette/marichat vs. ladrien/ladynoir debate. 

typically when you have two male main characters who are potential love interests for a female character, fandoms will pair up the two guys and leave the female character to either be a) written off as a lesbian, b) written off as a bitch, or c) slotted into a side pairing that isn’t given as much care or attention as this new mlm pairing. so in the case of a chat noir x adrien scenario, i feel like it would be just as popular if not more popular than the lovesquare. 

but when you have two female main characters who are potential love interests for a male character, it just turns into an all out ship war with very few deciding to make an wlw pairing out of the two female characters. 

i mean there are obvious exceptions to this and obviously the only way you could see how this manifests is by testing it out (which, god fucking help us if that were possible), but i definitely don’t think marinette x ladybug would be as poppin’ as chat noir x adrien. 

now that being said, i would ship the fuck out of marinette x ladybug if it were me in that hypothetical fandom. i wouldn’t even have to think about it.

It’s gonna be $1 for every 100 words so pricing will be as follows:

$5 = 500 words

$10 = 1000 words

$15 = 1500 words

$20 = 2000 words

$30 = 3000 words

$40 = 4000 words

$50 = 5000 words [MAX LIMIT]

You won’t have to pay for a fic that’s 5034 words or anything like that and if I just so happen to go an extra 100 words, you won’t be expected to pay for that either. But that won’t be often, so don’t expect it.

Ground Rules:

I will have some basic rules for commissions, such as what I will and will not accept, what I’m willing to do, and just basic common courtesy/etiquette when commissioning.

I have the right to turn down any idea I’m uncomfortable with doing or just don’t appeal to/inspire me. I’ll do my best to work with you, but if I say no, there will be no further convincing me. Just find someone else to do it.

I will not do smut for commissioned fics. Again, sorry. I do smut based on my own comfort zone/knowledge/experience so that’s something I just want to avoid people telling me what to do.

Have some sort of communication turned on (preferably the tumblr messaging system but I can work with something else as well) so that I may be able to ask questions about your commission and send it to you when it’s done.

HOWEVER, please do not pester me about your commission. I have not forgotten about it, but I am busy. I am getting ready to move out to university and I’m also working for most of the week. I will get your commission out as soon as I’m able.

If I put out a personal fic before your commissioned fic, please do not get upset. It’s likely I have been working on that fic previously for a long-time. Also, inspiration never strikes exactly, so while I am working on your fic, I may not have been particularly inspired to write it at that current moment in time.

I'm someone who's hesitant to break up the Love Square because I love it so much, but as someone who's written 21m/m fics to 15 f/m I am kind of like CHALLENGE ACCEPTED on making more m/m content for Miraculous Ladybug. Tell me some of your m/m ships and headcanons?

See, even I’ve had trouble coming up with my own spin on mlm ships, mainly because of the lack of canon/fanon mlm support. I’m always a sucker for taking LoveSquare tropes and applying them to Adrino/Adrinath/Adrikim though.

Hey, everyone! There’s been quite a bit of conversation today about non-lovesquare ships in the fandom today, especially wlw and mlm ships, and I’ve seen a lot of posts talking about the underwhelming response to mlm March in this fandom. So, in the spirit of creating content I and others would like to see, I would like to encourage everyone to send prompts specifically for mlm March, and I will do my best to fill them. I’m going to look for some prompt lists so there’s options, but I’d really love to create some content for this month, since I’ve been a bit remiss in doing so.

I would love to encourage my followers to create some content themselves or read/look at some art for mlm March as well. I was surprised by how much I liked Adrino, for example, once I started writing it (of course, I tend to write myself into liking a lot of ships). I just adore looking at the dynamics of different characters in a relationship, which is part of the reason why I have started to enjoy so many different ships. Imagine how sweet and kind Adrien and Nino would be to each other in a relationship or how much fun it would be to write Chat Noir and Nino dating while Adrien tries to hide how much he’s crushing on his best friend.

this fandom is so violently against thinking outside the lovesquare it’s crazy. go through every ship you can think of, count the amount of content in the tags for each, and then come back to me if you don’t believe me

like first off let’s start with the f/f ships

by far the most popular two are julerose and chlolya, a.k.a. ships that don’t include mari and don’t mess with the lovesquare

and before you pull the whole “oh but their dynamic is better”

chlonette and chlolya are both rivals to lovers ships in their simplest form. so why is chlolya more popular?

alyanette and julerose are both friends to lovers ships in their simplest form. so why is julerose more popular?

it takes clawing through alyanette, chlonette, lilanette, etc. tags to find content, meanwhile chlolya and julerose are everywhere bc they’re “safe ships”

m/m ships! 

this one’s even funnier bc mlm ships in this fandom are practically nonexistent

the most “popular” ones are adrinino and adrinath, but guess why you barely see content for them?

the only reason they’re more popular than kim/max is bc they either involve the main characters, or they involve nath (the only background character that people seem to give a shit about for reasons unknown????)

oh and it gets better bc let’s talk about het ships that don’t get any love

i’ve seen marinath used so damn often as a means to an end for lovesquare shippers. like if i had a dollar for every time i saw marinath used as a way for adrien to be jealous/confess his feelings, i could buy a fucking condo

nino x marinette? alya x adrien? no?

yeah. figured. kinda makes the lovesquare impossible, right?

the best part about this is that when you check which pairings get useless comments tagged on about ‘oh are you guys serious?’ ‘yeah but they’re just friends?’ ‘this pairing would never work’ and ‘x person loves y so they can’t possibly like z,’ do you know which ones you’ll see more often than not?

pairings that include adrien or marinette

im tired of seeing people be dismissive of alyanette, adrinino, and ninette. i’m tired of having to literally claw through the tags for chlonette or lilanette. im tired of seeing artists and writers get tens of thousands of notes on their lovesquare art and struggle to get 200 notes on art with pairings that disrupt the lovesquare. 

it’s disheartening. it’s annoying. it’s isolating. and it feels like a lot of people don’t even care so i guess im done

no it definitely did. i haven’t seen much of anything for it. 

i would’ve participated but i’m still technically trying to finish up femslash feb and i also just got slotted with midterms and other fandom projects in march. otherwise, y’all would’ve been getting adrinino and adrinath and kimax from me everyday

practically, i think it’s bc there are just fewer male characters. but i also think it’s bc there’s no safe mlm ship that can be a background to the lovesquare, so fewer people are on board for mlm pairings. 

which sucks bc, you can still write adrinino without sitting in front of your computer screen wondering “but what about the lovesquare?”

as another user recently put it, i think a lot of people feel like they need to somehow address the lovesquare to write stuff like adrinino but you 100% don’t need to do that. 

i’m sorry the month got so little attention. it saddens me too :(
