Decide to create a Miracle Queen design based on the knight version of Queen Bee I made a while ago. Underneath is a gif that shows a neat trick her mask can do

She technically needs to attach the lower half of it with her hand but I didn't really want to hide anything while showing it off lol

I think it's interesting that Chloe stans love bringing Felix up when they call double standards.

" Oh so the guy who stole the Miraculous gets a redemption but not her!?"

Uh, Chloe did that too. Remember Season 3 final two parter.

And as much as it disguts me to defend Felix. His motivation is a lot more understandable than Chloe’s. Keep in mind I said "understandable" not sympathetic.

Felix: I'm using this as a bargaining chip to get the power that controls my existence. Sure I'm putting people at risk. But I'll fix that later I am so smart!

He isn't, by the way. He just got lucky.

Chloe: I'm stealing superpowers for myself because I can't accept being told "no"

Just saying. You can call double standards if you like. But you can't say Chloe is a better person than Felix.

(I wanted to post this in the form of a video with GamingMagic13’s style of editing, but I don’t have the energy for that.)*

People say Chloé’s redeeming qualities only started to show through during Seasons 2 and 3 because Thomas had no involvement in the production of those two seasons as if he wasn’t on the writing team on every episode for those two seasons.

The consensus shouldn’t be, “Thomas went away so the other writers started a redemption arc which Thomas ruined when he came back”. It should be, “Thomas and the other writers spent two seasons tricking people into feeling bad for Chloé by revealing that she was more than just a one-dimensional mean girl, and then yanked the rug out from under them just for the sake of yanking the rug out from under people”.

Thomas, your target audience is literal children. I don’t think subverting their expectations is that much of an achievement to brag about.

Also, does anyone else think that, if people weren’t so antagonistically vocal about Miracle Queen and didn’t harass Thomas over it and the “We thought she was redeemable” tweet, then Chloé wouldn’t have gotten worse and worse as Seasons 4 and 5 went on?

Considering the fact that, after Season 3 ended in Fall 2019, the show went on a hiatus that was forced to be even longer due to the COVID pandemic with only the New York special to keep us company in September before finally returning in Spring 2021, the crew had plenty of time to rework the scripts to worsen Chloé.

I would say this applies to Lila, too, but it’s not like feeling bad for her was ever a common fandom talking point and the only thing about her that could have qualified as a redeeming quality that could have gone somewhere (that she lies for attention that she can’t get at home because her mom is out working for most of the day, which only briefly comes back at the beginning of Oni-Chan) is now irrelevant (now that she has multiple moms and identities) because this show has proven how much it loves its retcons and has done nothing to convince me it’s not misogynistic, not even the half-a**ed attempts at redeeming Nathalie and Sabrina after four seasons of them making Bayonetta faces. I know I’m of the “better late than never” opinion, but that mindset can only go so far until “too little, too late” kicks in.

Fic Prompt: “It’s a wonderful life” plot where Marinette enters a world where “Miracle Queen” never happened because she asked Chloe for help, and it turns out to be a better world.

Okay, THAT one sounds like an awesome fic I would like to write sometime. Similar to the way I rewrote the end of Queen Wasp from S2 so Marinette didn't drive Chloe into the arms of her mother.

Humble suggestion: while I love the Guardian Marinette stuff in s4, I think a cool different route for s4 would’ve been to basically jumpstart s5 early by having Hawkmoth never lose the Miracle Box at the end of s3.

Now, Miracle Queen was obviously the fandom’s least favorite episode (that is now in debate with s5 finished, but I digress). But I think ending it on a low note like s4 did would’ve been so cool, and also help with some of the show’s plot armor.

The specific plot armor I’m referring to: Marinette has all but 2 Miraculouses as her disposal, and yet they make no progress against Shadowmoth. It’s literally 17 v 2. They almost won against him with just 5 (s2 finale) and only didn’t because they were caught off guard by Mayura. Hawkmoth upgrading to Shadowmoth does nothing to really make him stronger other than making it easier to make senti beings, which they have already faced before.

The proposal: Miracle Queen happens mostly like canon, they use the existing Miraculous users to fight Ladybug & Chat Noir, but Hawkmoth and Mayura keep the rest, maybe even hide the Miraculouses (and let’s say they take them out of the box to use the box as a decoy so when Fu changes ownership, they won’t be trapped inside). Ladybug and Chat get the Miraculouses from the active users back, so not all of them are lost. So, to keep track:

Hero Team: ladybug, black cat, fox, turtle, bee, snake, dragon, horse, monkey (9)

Villain Team: (everything else) butterfly, peacock, rabbit, tiger, ox, mouse, pig, rooster, goat, dog (10)

So it’s almost an even match! (In terms of numbers at least… those power sets are arguable 😬)

But! It has the same Ladybug-guilt issues as s5 (her feeling at fault for losing them) because she accidentally led Hawkmoth to Fu, and I think it helps solve the issue of how many individual new Miraculous episodes they had to stuff into s4 before she lost them at the end (Penalteam was really doing overtime lol).

I do think this version would lose the Alliance rings, but it would be good ground for setting up some kind of villain team instead. Probably not with all of them at once- while that would be smart to overwhelm the heroes, Gabe doesn’t have that many allies 😂. Natalie is half dead and that just leaves the psycho 14 year old (Lila).

The heroes could also win back the Rabbit like they did in s5 with the time chase (with some tweaking because the dynamics of the two would be different from that point). Because that thing is WAY too powerful to let the villains keep yet not let them win with it (not this time, plot armor!) At least with the heroes they have the excuse of “don’t mess with the time continuum,” which hawky clearly wouldn’t care about.

Thoughts?? This was just a tangent thought that popped up out of nowhere, so there are probably some holes, but I think it’s a fun idea! Any other suggestions or add-ons? Or do you think I’m totally off my rocker? I’d love to hear anything!

Huh, just realize thanks to Canon, Alya and my version of Miracle Queen slightly have common ground on something now, obviously that won't make them buddy buddy thou to be fair that's mostly on Miracle being well Miracle, Alya would likely be pretty chill with Rider & Archer Chloé but hey at least they can agree on their dislike about lying

god i just rewatched miracle queen and im so fucking sad like holy shit marinette makes one(1) mistake and things go so wrong and she gets so fucked up like god her caring so much for fu and the tear tracks on her face as she says goodbye to him and the responsibilities and stress of the guardianship being placed on her and her giving up on adrien and the sad parting at the end where he sits next to kagami and marinette sadly goes to luka and god all the parts where she like breaksdown and gets comforted by him and god

its like this is the exact moment things started going way downhill for her, the guardianship and the relationship problems leading to the ladynoir conflict in s4 all the way till marinette is forced into another devastating mistake in strikeback and god she is just constantly being fucked over its insane, s3 she loses the miracle box season four she loses the miracle box season 5 she loses the miracle.

i need s6 to like let us see more into marinette and adriens struggles and trauma.

Something that makes the end of Season 5 make even less sense is that the whole point of Season 4 was that Marinette had to stop keeping secrets from Cat Noir.

I can’t respond to this how I want, it will just be sarcastic and I don’t want to be salty all the time I want to be positive. But the more good I try to see, the more the flaws in the writing pop out.

You can leave all they wrote until season 3 , I have an AU idea which is one season long of Chloe going missing after Hawkmoth makes her an akumatized fallen hero, and she acts as the season's main villain instead clashing with Ladybug
