An unexpected update: New site, new scenes! ✨

With dashingdon shutting down, you can now find The Eternal Library demo on CoGdemos!

Thanks to everyone who jumped in my asks with the news about dashingdon coming to an end. I was already on it but I appreciate your thoughtfulness! The news made quite the stir in the IF world. Shout out to DashingDon for hosting so many fabulous works over the years.

I was planning on doing a public update at the end of the month, but since I had to port the files anyway I figured I’d include the improvements I've made to the early chapters. The end point for the public demo is the same as before, a third of the way through chapter three, but I’ve added POV scenes and polished it up a bit. 💫

If you catch any errors, please let me know!

Public update includes:

A scene from Princess Angelina’s POV at the end of chapter one.

Two scenes from Prince Collin’s POV in chapter two.

Coming soon: A scene from Gemma’s POV in chapter three. (This is later in chapter three and will be released at the end of the month.)

Chances to initiate romances with Gemma and Angelina in chapter one.

Current wordcounts: Public Demo ~ 45k Patreon Demo ~ 65k WIP ~ 80k

I'm hoping to get back to writing chapter four next week. Life has required my focus elsewhere the last couple of days and this weekend is a busy one. I keep thinking about the story even when I'm not able to work on it, which counts as writing despite not adding to the wordcount.

The story is about to dive into a branching section that takes the MC to different parts of the castle for different purposes. One branch is dark and heart wrenching, one is rooted in kindness and kinship, and one is breathtaking, inviting your imagination to soar. 🔥⚔️🔥

The update schedule is as follows:

8 April 2024: Ishari Tier Patrons ($15)

11 April 2024: Vinia Tier Patrons ($10)

16 April 2024: Cyre Tier Patrons ($5)

23 April 2024: Nomad Tier Patrons ($2)

New to the update:

Added around 37K of code and words. Word count will probably range between 30-35K;

Added more name options at the beginning of the game;

A late-night chat with Zikar (optional);

The Vinia family one-on-one scenes;

A memorial ceremony (optional) to honour Yara and Ahlf;

Dialogue scenes with Rana; and

Choose to give Rana her gift (based on earlier decisions).

This is the family portion of the chapter, so you'll not get any RO scenes this time. It mostly deals with the arrival of the Vinia family in Ishari, so if the family or Rana doesn't interest you, I suggest waiting for the next (and final) portion of Chapter 9's update.

I haven't forgotten about this account (I swear). Just been busy with midterm exams and being a mildly social ambivert. I plan on doing a tattoo dump (like over 50+ recolorable variations) sometime this weekend.

Expect: Anywhere from 50 to 75 conversions + my own custom tattoos(Im estimating since im not by my laptop at the moment). All will be recolorable on atleast one channel, with full body being 2 channels.

mini update—revised lyonses interactions

hi all! got a note that resonated HEAVY about the lyonses seeming a bit one-note in their coldness, so i revised the interactions with them pretty extensively. if you played the earlier version and want to give this new one a try, please let me know if you have a preference :-)

Smaller Update!

Just to mention that the look of the game has been updated! You can choose between light and dark theme, change the font, change the size of the font. There's also been some customisation done to the links and the headers!

Just wanted to give the heads up, that the version on Itch HAS been updated already! And that arranged marriage origin is roughly halfway done! Then can focus on finishing the E Rawlins Mini Game and Chapter 1!

phew, so I've been up for the past idk 24 hours??? and desperately need sleep. will be replying, posting my valentines collab thing (which is like two/three days late 😩🥴) and going over this event so far.... am I the only one who's disappointed that so far we're only getting like "as told by Nabe" introductions to the abaddon nobles but not actually meeting them??? or is it just me. I swear man...
