#Dungeon Meshi #laios touden #marcille donato #chilchuck tims #senshi #animation #game dev diary #Please give a huge hand to my coding partner #who labored for over two weeks to figure out how to implement reaction animation for the battle icons.#You may also notice that I updated the battle portraits from my previous post! New and (mostly) improved!#The death screens were not changed because I didn't think they'd get used for this video.#But Chilchuck getting one-shotted and leaving due to this being outside of his pay? Accidental comedy gold.#The full sprite (I didn't realize the bottom third would be hidden) says: “NOT PAID FOR THIS”#And yeah he's smoking. He gets a smoke break as part of his contract. Let a guy have his vices. He's teetering on a divorce.#Dungeon Meshi would be a fun rpg in theory but it would need to have immersive mechanics like cooking and foraging.#And hunger and fatigue and other status effects.#A slightly more lighthearted fear and hunger sort of game.#But that is for some other fan to do. This is just a fun tech demo for us to learn RPG maker!#So...with this mini-project concluded #we now have a foundation we can pass over to our actual game!#Next game dev post will be some game assets (probably busts and battle icons for the main party)#And after that! Most likely some more sprite sheets (I have made a few more since my first attempt)#Thank you for everyone who has been rooting us on since I started talking about this project. It means a ton B'*)

The second part of the mini-update for Chapter 9 is now up and playable for Ishari Tier Patrons.

Play the game here.

The update schedule is as follows:

8 April 2024: Ishari Tier Patrons ($15)

11 April 2024: Vinia Tier Patrons ($10)

16 April 2024: Cyre Tier Patrons ($5)

23 April 2024: Nomad Tier Patrons ($2)

New to the update:

Added around 37K of code and words. Word count will probably range between 30-35K;

Added more name options at the beginning of the game;

A late-night chat with Zikar (optional);

The Vinia family one-on-one scenes;

A memorial ceremony (optional) to honour Yara and Ahlf;

Dialogue scenes with Rana; and

Choose to give Rana her gift (based on earlier decisions).

This is the family portion of the chapter, so you'll not get any RO scenes this time. It mostly deals with the arrival of the Vinia family in Ishari, so if the family or Rana doesn't interest you, I suggest waiting for the next (and final) portion of Chapter 9's update.

I haven't forgotten about this account (I swear). Just been busy with midterm exams and being a mildly social ambivert. I plan on doing a tattoo dump (like over 50+ recolorable variations) sometime this weekend.

Expect: Anywhere from 50 to 75 conversions + my own custom tattoos(Im estimating since im not by my laptop at the moment). All will be recolorable on atleast one channel, with full body being 2 channels.

3 variations of face tattoos (About 30 total)-60% done

2 variations neck tattoos (About 15 total) - 90% done

2 leg/hip tattoos (About 10 to 12 total) - 100% done

2 full body tattoos (10 total) - 100% done

#alright i suppose i should tell what's up lately! im mostly posting this like a mini update or whatever haha #so - since i made that last post on my disappearance i worked endlessly to finish my animation project and thank goodness it's finally over #i had to take a break from trying to be social here and just stay in my own space and i did that by having a smaller side blog to ramble #the project was very... tiring - definitely took out so much energy from me post physically and mentally and i was just frustrated everyday #so i just took my time to be alone with a few close people and i like to think im okay now?#i like to think so - since i was able to deliver a few commission drafts today so i'm relieved that im back to my usual pace #I'll post a few of my doodles here i did during my project just to fill the void haha #i've acquired a minor familial from another video game and i care for him a lot :] idk ill bother to talk abt it here but yeah thats funnn #also indulging a lil bit of t.n.m.n content as of late also thanks to my friend who knows abt it hehe #soo yeah! Smaller Update!

Just to mention that the look of the game has been updated! You can choose between light and dark theme, change the font, change the size of the font. There's also been some customisation done to the links and the headers!

Just wanted to give the heads up, that the version on Itch HAS been updated already! And that arranged marriage origin is roughly halfway done! Then can focus on finishing the E Rawlins Mini Game and Chapter 1!

If one more god damned person mentions adding the Aether to Minecraft i'll scream. the Aether is something i personally never wanna see, bc like the 3 dimensions we have can get so much more, why add another one that basically just acts as The End 2? also, this is just me but how can we find a 3rd shape for a portal? the nether is vertical and the end is horizontal, we can't have a diagonal portal can we? idk, it just annoys me especially considering most people who complain about no Aether also complain that Mojang isn't focusing on fixing the overworld. PICK ONE, BITCH

Crown of Exile Mini-Update

The early scenes of Chapter 10 are available to play for all Patrons. If you hate waiting for the full game and have some spare money, consider joining my Patreon for early access to new scenes.

What you can expect:

About 20K words were added to the intro scenes of Chapter 10;

Goodbye scenes with the Vinia family;

Goodbye scenes with the companions/ROs;

Lock-in your romance with Oren;

Bug fixes to Anu's scene in Chapter 9 that led to a blank passage;

Additions to the menu screen (soundtrack list and page for character portraits);

Stats will now be displayed at the end of the demo through a link at the end of Chapter 9 and Chapter 10.
