Well damn, let me remember all my Sims for a minute, and I'm probably going to include private saves I never posted or played before I made a simblr.

Best friend: Briana (from current household, early 2025)

partner / spouse: Either a tie between Monte (one of my CC models) or Omar (cosmic legacy)

secret lover: Benjamin ( Cosmic Legacy).

friendly rival: Vincent (Cosmic legacy). Also Scout (Random legacy)

enemy: Cyrus (Cosmic legacy) I have a love-hate relationship with that Sim. Also Alessio (Birthstone legacy)

To address my conversion of "Cardboard" locs or shall I say "Abortion" as described by the lovely Themaresnest, which was brought to my attention anonymously.

Well for starters, Neither myself nor the original Sims 4 creator called said "Theo" hairstyle dreadlocks or locs, but that was implied and what the hairstyle most noticeably resembles. But personally, to call the conversion an "Abortion" is truly insane. And no "shred of self-respect or put it in their game"???

Oh goodness, how will I manage to sleep at night. Let alone go on with life or dare open my game again ☹️.

Well, I never claimed for my any conversions to be PERFECT. In fact I'm very much still learning and trying to improve. And I respect your opinion in the hair being “awful” or "terrible", to each their own. Many of the Afro-textured hairs converted/made by Gruesim years ago, I wouldn't say are superb personally, but I do like the hairs. In fact I have all of them in my game and use them frequently in my gameplay. And I also agree with your point on Afro-textured hairstyles being around for the Sims 3. In fact, I probably have the majority of them downloaded from the links I could find working or Tumblr and original websites that still exists (which not many few, sadly).

Also, EA has done plenty worst with hairs across all their franchises and games, but that issue has already been addressed plenty of times throughout the years.

But I just find your overall post to rub me the wrong way.

As far as I'm aware, I haven't seen many people glorifying anything such as these hairs or my conversions or Sims 4 custom content, but maybe I'm wrong. Because I'm going to be so transparent, and say I've only been active in the Sims 3 community for like a year and a half? And that's pushing it as I still don't personally interact with all of TS3 Tumblr due to my own shyness and time I actually spend on Tumblr. But I have been playing the game for quite a while, and it's people like you who often scare away newcomers and people like me from wanting to engage in the community.

If you or anyone were curious on my thoughts with converting that specific hair, I'll happily elaborate now.

Me, a black simmer, just wanting to experiment with converting more Afro-texture hairs for my game to use on My Sims. Because in my opinion, the proportion of Afro-texture Male hairs (noticed how I didn't say curly or female?) is lacking severely. And that's my opinion and how I feel, truthfully. You may not feel the same way, and that's fine. So in learning how to convert hair, I spent my own free time converting a few hairs for my game. I didn't plan to share them until recently.

And for that hair specifically, the one you called an abortion or cardboard dreadlocks? You may not like it. There's probably a bunch of other people who don't like the hair either. But me? I actually do like the hair, both my conversion and the TS4 version, as it kind of reminds me of hairstyles I've seen in my 20 years of life. Especially with the majority of my life, I lived in a city where black people or people of African-descent such as myself make up 30.9% of the population.

You may not like it for your game, but I like it for mine, and that's all I really care about. The wonderful thing about games such as the Sims is we can all have our own aesthetics and styles. It's even better with the fact we can pick and choose what we put into our games. And I'm certainly not forcing anybody to download any of my conversions with a gun to their head.

But there's this lovely thing about being on the internet or social platforms in general. If you don't like something, you can just ignore it. I know, it's revolutionary. In fact, if it bothers you so much, you can just block the person or their account to refrain from seeing it. And I advise you do that to my accounts, as I've blocked yours on my main account😊. It's nothing personal, truly. I don't know you and you don't know me. But if my conversion offends you so much, for you to make a whole post on your website calling it an "Abortion" and other kind of weird and shady things. I think it's for the best you don't engage with any of the things I post or share on Tumblr.

Hmm I think for yours I'll do Braden😊. JkJk, I know you hate that Sim. But my 3rd favorite sim at the moment who I'll use to answer this is Cyrus.

Cyrus is definitely the type to have a favorite child. And without doubt, his favorite child was Mercedes. Like he always had the highest relationship with her and spent the most time with her in comparison to her brother, even after the kids moved out. Like he was the embodiment of a girl dad.

He doesn't regret sending his kids away to Boarding Schools (Private school in my game). Being a dad was not his priority at all until he got into his 40's. He did care about his kid's wellbeing and being successful, but I think he accepted the fact he was not the person to do that, hence them always being raised by babysitters and their moms. And for Saint, Bleu Ray and Mercedes practically took care of him until he was a teenager.

His stage name is heavily inspired by the Greek god "Apollo', who was also the god of the sun, poetry, music, and archery.

While he was a famous Singer, I feel like the genre he would excel in most is Pop. And his music would very similar to like 2018-22 Drake and Post Malone, just without rapping.

His natural hair color was a dark brown, but I feel like he personally started dying his hair blonde when he was a teenager to stand out more. Ever since, he's just embraced the blonde look for the rest of his life.

Aww💕. This time around I'll do my other favorite sim at the moment whose been on my mind, Mercedes Celeste.

If she had a chance to go to university, she likely would've gotten a degree in Communications and also Physical Education as she was really into Ballet as a child and teenager.

In total, Mercedes has stolen around $212k worth of simoleons. The majority of that money came from Evansdale county when I played her as heir. But in the gen 3 save, when I checked on her household inventory, she was robbing around Brooklyn Heights as well😭.

If she wasn't a journalist, I feel like she would've been a Private investigator. With her genius and perceptive traits, and the fact she was the one to catch her mom cheating at only 8 or 9, that seems fitting for her. But she'd be likely a corrupted Private Investigator.

In an alternative universe, she's likely would have married Braden if he didn't hate children. That would mean Vincent wouldn't exist, but in my head, She still has some romantic feelings for Braden despite being happily married to Omar.

Her name was actually inspired by “María de las Mercedes" because at the time I was doing a Spanish research project and the name Mercedes stuck with me for a few weeks.

Umm this is actually so hard, as I went from being detached from all my Sims to suddenly actually caring about a few of them. For this I feel like it's only fair to do Scotty as I actually have detailed lore for him🧍🏾‍♀️. 1.) He is originally from Bridgeport and spent a few of his toddler years living in Bridgeport, before being put up for adoption. He then spent his childhood and early teen years in Starlight shores before going to prison. 2) His dad is actually a Bridgeport townie. Like Scotty was actually born from in-game genetics, but has a lot of his mother's features. Also used a lot of her skin details on his face. 3.)His original last name is "Aitken" but he changed his last name when he released from prison.

4.) He has a hidden trait of being a Pyromaniac. I could elaborate more on this but I won't for now.

5.) On a wholesome note, his favorite color is Pink💗. Which is why both cars he owns are pink :)

Seeing this after not opening Tumblr for a whole week is refreshing as my feed has mainly been TS4 Big CC creator insanity (like really wtf are some of these creators smoking, from literal insane horrid threats to copyright striking supporters?)

Anyway, besides that off-topic rant, our brain waves are literally vibrating on the same frequency when we casually talk about our current Sims. Somehow mentioning similar name ideas for, worlds, and even sometimes mention the same things at the same time, e.g., dreaming about naming a sim Primrose🧍🏾‍♀️.

We definitely aren't beating the platonic soulmates allegations anytime soon, but that's okay. And I accept being stuck with having you in my life😊. Much love to you mama💕

Hi everyone! I am so excited to share my Sims 3 conversion of this Sims 4 challenge! I am a huge marvel and Sims 3 fan, so this challenge truly has my whole heart. This is, of course, subject to change (especially the later generations) as they get playtested, but I still wanted to share this for anyone who wants to play along! I tried my best to keep this challenge similar to the original but added some slight changes here and there. I'm glad the fro looks good in game and you're enjoying it😊💕

As far as the facial hair on the sim model, it's layered between an accessory goatee, makeup stubble with light ass opacity and a mustache. For the Mustache, it's by Nectar Cellar (love all their facial hair) which you can find here.

The Goatee is an accessory facial hair I downloaded years ago from Mike's Sauced Shop. Honestly, I have all the Acc facial hair from this site, I just use the goatees a lot on my Sims. This one specifically is the Dope goatee, which you can download here.

Optionally, if you wanted the stubble, it's Odyssey Scruff by Enless. I can't remember if the package file included the makeup version of the stubble or not (I doubled checked, and it wasn't a separate download), but it's also a regular facial hair I used religiously. It can be found here.
