The Importance of Minerals Supplements in Everyday Life
Discover why minerals supplements are crucial for maintaining optimal health and well-being. From supporting bone health to boosting immune function, explore the essential role these supplements play in our daily lives.
Minerals supplements play an important role in treating specific vitamin and mineral deficiencies caused by the drastic changes in your lifestyle and diet patterns. Such health supplements reduce gastric irritation and improve your body’s ability to absorb iron to overcome mineral deficiency.
Vitamins and minerals are required by the body in small amounts to stay healthy and maintain optimal functioning of cells. While it is important to have a balanced diet, you may not get the recommended daily intake. In this situation, taking a mineral supplement is the right solution.
Your body needs essential nutrients for the growth and regulation of various processes every day. Multivitamins are a group of nutrients that bridge nutritional gaps and boost your health and well-being naturally.

Hey y'all! Do you have any advice about making smoothies? Like, what kinds of fruit and veggies go well together, what combos very much don't work, and especially if you have any advice on what frozen fruits or veggies work best. I am thinking about trying making smoothies but I know pretty much nothing about it lol
#the person behind the yarn#food mention#I don't even know where to start when it comes to making smoothies#except that I should avoid coconut (allergic) cucumber (possibly allergic) and bananas (sometimes allergic)#and that I should probably stick to frozen fruits and veggies as much as I can#because I have histamine issues#and while I tolerate some fruits very well#some fruits I do not#so this will be a bit of trial and error#but dang. I just really want to be eating more fruits and veggies before I end up with Yet Another Vitamin Deficiency#(my body processes several vitamins and minerals Very Wrong so I have to take...a lot of supplements)#(plus I am on medication to fix some of them that messes up other vitamins. it's a process)#and when it comes to ways to eat frozen fruits and veggies smoothies seem to be the best way#or maybe not best but most efficient?#I tried with non-frozen fruits and veggies but the produce in Tennessee goes bad SO QUICKLY#or at least so quickly compared to where I used to live#so...frozen! frozen fruits and veggies

I went down a YouTube rabbit hole yesterday and learned that Etsy is completely okay with sellers listing bags of dirt, clay, soil, chalk, and other rocks and minerals specifically so people can buy and EAT THEM WITH THEIR MOUTHS. no porn or sex toys allowed, sorry, but you CAN buy a fucking... bag full of kaolin clay. and eat it. never mind the fact that there could be lead, cadmium, asbestos, bacteria, fungus, and other contaminants in there. listen to the worms in your brain that are telling you to eat dirt it's fine you'll be fine
#can people please learn about pica and its relationship to mineral deficiencies#bruh you don't need to eat chalk. you just need calcium supplements bruh. you can buy those at the store. are you listening

Dental/gum care routine (update)
Brush with Sonicare toothbrush 2x a day
Use a toothpaste with fluoride and xylitol (Hello toothpaste is my favorite, I've been using it for months and barely have any tartar buildup, my teeth are white and gums are pink).
Use woven floss 2x a day (Boka is my favorite, I also like Risewell and Cocofloss).
Tongue scrape at night (1x a day is fine because overdoing it can reduce the number of NO-producing bacteria).
Take an oral probiotic at night (they help increase the microbiome diversity though they can be expensive and not a replacement for brushing and flossing and diet, but they're a great alternative to mouthwash).
Supplement with D3/K2 and magnesium. Vitamin C, CoQ10 and omega-3 are great for gums.
Drink a lot of water daily (2-3 L).
Nasal breathe
Drink matcha instead of coffee/acidic and dehydrating drinks. Coffee won't do much harm besides staining and I usually just drink 1 cup, but I prefer a matcha latte because it is refreshing, hydrating, creamy and soothing).
Limit sugar and follow an anti-inflammatory low glycemic diet. Sweet foods like low glycemic fruit and dark chocolate are fine and have health benefits (low in sugar, high in vitamin C and magnesium). Treats here and there are fine, no more than 3x a week.
Eat foods that support oral health - veggies, cheese, chicken, fish, eggs, avocados, whole grains, nuts, and seeds. There are dentists out there who complain about phytic acid, but a lot of foods that contain it are very nutrient-dense.
Do an oral microbiome test (I do these out of curiosity for fun). This is one reason why I avoid mouthwash. Even if I don't regularly test, proper hygiene and diet, xylitol, avoiding mouthwash and tongue scraping 1x a day, and an oral probiotic here and there can help a lot.
#oral health#dental care#gum care#dentistry#weston a price#brushing and flossing are absolutely not enough and it's important to get most of this care from nutrition and supplementation#can brush and floss all day but can have a diet rich in sugar and processed junk and little to no minerals and fat soluble vitamins#there's a very sketchy book out there that recommends drink raw milk and drinking cow blood and eating raw fish heads and raw organ meat#for dental health#don't do that those are so dangerous for you#follow an anti-inflammatory low glycemic diet and make sure you are getting enough vitamin A#D3 and K2 and calcium#magnesium#and phosphorus from diet and supplementation#Ca and P are found in so many foods#Mg is a bit harder to get from food so supplementation helps#most people are absolutely deficient in D3 and K2 so a supplement comes in handy

Mineral mystery
I'm eliminating a lot of backstory, here, but in brief I decided a while back to try Magnesium and Potassium supplements to try to deal with persistent muscle cramping and spasms. The only thing is, when I looked in stores for potassium, the only brands I could find had a dose of - this seems ridiculous - 2% of the rda. Two percent? What would that do for you if you were, indeed, low on potassium? I checked several different brands, but they were all the same. Eat some bananas? Well, yes, but
it would take 11 bananas, DAILY to get your whole requirement. More broadly, it would take about ten different items off this chart, DAILY to get enough potassium from diet alone - assuming one was able to absorb it perfectly (which is not a given). So getting a supplement seems reasonable - but I cannot find one. I thought I found a 550 mg one online, but in the fine print it wasn't. 550 mg of "potassium gluconate" only equals 99 mg of potassium. Which is right back at that 2%-of-rda number.
One website I saw indicated that "some" supplements with doses larger than 2% rda can cause "bowel lesions," but there didn't seem to be any reasonable conclusion about how someone could supplement their diet if they needed to.
Mysterious.

..huh. so I always kinda thought eh idk if the meds are really doing anything, on account of how I still have the depression
but I just realized. it's been a hot second since I've been, like, really anxious or stressed about anything. And shit used to stress me out from time to time, you know?
...so maybe the meds ARE doing something, lmao, just not uhh the like thing I was mainly hoping it might magically do something on
#personal#the meds doing something on the depression was kind of a long shot anyway ig#like I figured it was too deep-seated to be vanquished by something so measily as a brain chemistry rebalance#unfortunately for that I think I might need to actually enact some CBT on me brain#wish I could be like those ppl who could fix it by just identifying the cognitive distortions though lol#nah my brain is already aware of that. it's just like. bad habits or sth at this point. too stuck in the same rut#which requires more work to like. reroute the brain out of the depression track :')#maybe also this is why exercise doesn't rly help with my depression lmao#cuz it rly is all in my head (cuz that's where thoughts live)#although lol. the tired-fatigue(?) thing seems like it maybe could/should be something medical..... lmao....#I wish I could find the magic Vitamin or Mineral I am Deficient in so I can take supplements or meds and Fix that lmao..

Hatake-san! No, you do not pay for gifts. It’s hardly a trouble. I don’t have much in the way of fresh venison bones because as a civilian we’re only allowed to hunt during certain parts of the year… but I do have a few dried antlers and some rawhide. I will give them to you when I finish your throw quilt, and you will not pay me. You will say ‘Thank you, Oba-san,’ and you will scratch your dogs behind the ears for me. Understood? Good.
Make sure you’re eating well and sleeping enough too, honey. Real food and rest, not those awful ration bars and a sporadic schedule of cat naps!
Yes, Oba-san. Thank you, Oba-san. Will do, Oba-san.
#I don't take “catnaps”#Do I?#and why does everyone rag on ration bars#they're easy to eat#no time wasted on prep#packed with calories#add a few vitamin and mineral supplements on occasion and you're good to go#I mean perfectly understand the benefits of a home-cooked meal but there's something to be said for the efficiency of rations#in the spring days#kind auntie anon#hatake kakashi#anbu days#naruto rp

Have had nothing but great experiences with this brand. Have tried similar supplements from other brands that worked just as good, but were typically more expensive, some way more expensive, like up to almost $100 for a bottle. These typically don’t get more expensive than $30 a bottle. Only complaint I can come up with is that you have to pay attention to the ingredient labels so that you aren’t overdoing certain vitamins or minerals, because a lot of the ingredients of their products overlap with each other. Sometimes I only take half the recommended dose if I’m taking other supplements from them, or I’ll cycle through their different supplements, taking one for one month, and another for another month. If you’re really nutrient and mineral deficient, you’ll want to start out with half of the recommended dose, and remember to drink lots of clean spring water to help your body absorb the good stuff and detox the bad stuff. Exercise, even just walking at any pace for 30 minutes a day, also helps your body absorb the good stuff and detox the bad stuff. Some of these supplements can even change how some people look, for the better, something that is sometimes even noticeable within a few days or a few weeks.
