Dental/gum care routine (update)
Brush with Sonicare toothbrush 2x a day
Use a toothpaste with fluoride and xylitol (Hello toothpaste is my favorite, I've been using it for months and barely have any tartar buildup, my teeth are white and gums are pink).
Use woven floss 2x a day (Boka is my favorite, I also like Risewell and Cocofloss).
Tongue scrape at night (1x a day is fine because overdoing it can reduce the number of NO-producing bacteria).
Take an oral probiotic at night (they help increase the microbiome diversity though they can be expensive and not a replacement for brushing and flossing and diet, but they're a great alternative to mouthwash).
Supplement with D3/K2 and magnesium. Vitamin C, CoQ10 and omega-3 are great for gums.
Drink a lot of water daily (2-3 L).
Nasal breathe
Drink matcha instead of coffee/acidic and dehydrating drinks. Coffee won't do much harm besides staining and I usually just drink 1 cup, but I prefer a matcha latte because it is refreshing, hydrating, creamy and soothing).
Limit sugar and follow an anti-inflammatory low glycemic diet. Sweet foods like low glycemic fruit and dark chocolate are fine and have health benefits (low in sugar, high in vitamin C and magnesium). Treats here and there are fine, no more than 3x a week.
Eat foods that support oral health - veggies, cheese, chicken, fish, eggs, avocados, whole grains, nuts, and seeds. There are dentists out there who complain about phytic acid, but a lot of foods that contain it are very nutrient-dense.
Do an oral microbiome test (I do these out of curiosity for fun). This is one reason why I avoid mouthwash. Even if I don't regularly test, proper hygiene and diet, xylitol, avoiding mouthwash and tongue scraping 1x a day, and an oral probiotic here and there can help a lot.

Story at-a-glance
Vitamin K2 directs calcium into your bones instead of arteries, which helps keep them strong and reduces calcification that leads to heart disease
A recent Nutrients review revealed that higher K2 intake improved bone mineral density (BMD) and slashed fracture risk, particularly among older adults and postmenopausal women
Your apolipoprotein E (ApoE) genotype influences how your body processes vitamin K2. ApoE 2/2 individuals clear it slowly, risking buildup, while ApoE 3/4 or 4/4 clear it fast, requiring higher doses
MK-4, found in animal foods, has a short half-life; MK-7, from natto or supplements, lasts longer. Matching the correct form to your genetic profile helps ensure optimal calcium transport
To direct calcium where it belongs, balance vitamin K2 with D3, avoid vegetable oils, and get enough magnesium. This will help prevent arterial calcification while maintaining strong bones and reducing your fracture risk

🎄 I need all the energy I can get this time of year so I've been taking 3 Creatinine Monohydrate nutravita gummies daily! I love taking them for yoga because they work wonders increasing strength, improving performance, muscle recovery and also keep my mind sharp. I've always been a fan of creatine supplements because they have so many benefits for athletic performance and health. Studies have shown that creatinine boosts brain function, fights certain neurological diseases, improves exercise performance, and accelerates muscle growth.Plus they taste delicious - you can get them in blueberry, pineapple or strawberry. My favorite flavor is the pineapple. I simply take 3 gummies daily and I'm set.
💚 I've also been taking Vitamin D3 K2 and Magnesium Glycinate! I take the Vitamin D3 K2 to help my body absorb and transport calcium. This is super important for your bones and teeth - rather than letting the calcium sit in your arteries and other soft tissues in your body. I take the Magnesium glycinate to help my body regulate nerve and muscle function, blood sugar levels and inflammation.
💚 I feel safe taking naturesaid and nutravita supplements because they're always manufactured, tested and bottled in a GMP certified factory. Plus they're vegan, gelatin free, sugar free, non-gmo and gluten-free. To learn more about all the benefits of taking these three supplements you can find them on Amazon.

Absolutely! Here's a persuasive, human-style blog post about Multivitamins, highlighting each active ingredient with benefits and recommended dosages — crafted to captivate readers and encourage purchase.
Daily Essentials: Why a Quality Multivitamin is Your Ultimate Health Ally
Let’s face it — life is busy. Between work, workouts, and everything in between, getting every single nutrient your body needs from food alone can be a real challenge. That’s where a high-quality multivitamin comes in. It's not just a “nice-to-have” — it's a powerful foundation for energy, immunity, and overall well-being. Multivitamins support everything from your brain and heart to your skin and bones. Think of it as your daily insurance policy for optimal health.
But not all multivitamins are created equal. Here’s a breakdown of the key active substances in a premium multivitamin — and why your body will thank you for giving it the nutrients it craves.
1. Vitamin A (Retinyl Acetate) — Vision & Immunity Hero
Vitamin A is essential for healthy vision, immune defense, and skin regeneration. It also plays a critical role in cell growth and development. Without it, your body struggles to fend off infections and maintain eye health. ✅ Recommended Dose: 700–900 mcg RAE (men), 600–700 mcg RAE (women)
2. B-Vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12) — The Energy Squad
This group of vitamins fuels your metabolism, converts food into energy, and supports nerve function.
B1 (Thiamine): 1.1–1.2 mg – boosts energy metabolism
B2 (Riboflavin): 1.1–1.3 mg – supports red blood cell production
B3 (Niacin): 14–16 mg – enhances circulation and cognitive function
B5 (Pantothenic Acid): 5 mg – aids hormone production
B6 (Pyridoxine): 1.3–1.7 mg – essential for neurotransmitters
B7 (Biotin): 30 mcg – promotes hair and nail strength
B9 (Folate): 400 mcg – crucial for cell division and pregnancy
B12 (Cobalamin): 2.4 mcg – supports nervous system health and energy
If you're feeling fatigued or mentally foggy, chances are you're low in B vitamins.
3. Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) — Immunity and Skin Protector
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that boosts your immune system, supports collagen production, and helps your body absorb iron. ✅ Recommended Dose: 75–90 mg (more during periods of stress or illness)
4. Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) — The Sunshine Vitamin
Essential for strong bones, mood regulation, and immune health, Vitamin D3 is often deficient, especially in colder climates. It enhances calcium absorption and has been linked to better muscle function and reduced inflammation. ✅ Recommended Dose: 800–1000 IU (can go up to 2000 IU for those with low levels)
5. Vitamin E (d-Alpha Tocopherol) — The Antioxidant Shield
Vitamin E protects your cells from oxidative stress and supports cardiovascular and skin health. It also boosts immunity, especially in older adults. ✅ Recommended Dose: 15 mg daily
6. Vitamin K1 & K2 — Bone & Heart Health Duo
Vitamin K1 (Phylloquinone): supports blood clotting
Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone): directs calcium to the bones and away from arteries ✅ Recommended Dose: 90–120 mcg
7. Zinc — Immunity & Skin Health Booster
Zinc is vital for immune defense, wound healing, and reproductive health. It also supports enzyme function and skin clarity. ✅ Recommended Dose: 8–11 mg
8. Magnesium — The Relaxation Mineral
Supports over 300 biochemical reactions — from energy production and nerve function to muscle relaxation and better sleep. ✅ Recommended Dose: 310–420 mg
9. Iron — The Oxygen Carrier
Iron helps produce red blood cells and carry oxygen throughout your body. It’s especially important for menstruating women and athletes. ✅ Recommended Dose: 8 mg (men), 18 mg (women)
10. Iodine — The Thyroid Regulator
Iodine supports healthy thyroid function, which regulates metabolism, energy, and hormone balance. ✅ Recommended Dose: 150 mcg
11. Selenium — The Cell Defender
A powerful antioxidant that helps prevent cellular damage and supports immune and thyroid function. ✅ Recommended Dose: 55 mcg
Why Choose a Multivitamin?

Best Vitamins for Cracking Knees: What Your Joints Are Missing
Do your knees crack or pop when you walk, squat, or climb stairs? While occasional knee noises can be harmless, persistent cracking may be a sign that your joints are missing essential nutrients. At Vitasave, we understand how frustrating and uncomfortable this can be. That’s why we’re here to guide you through the best vitamins for cracking knees—so you can support your joint health naturally and effectively.
Why Do Knees Crack?

Cracking knees, also known as crepitus, can result from air bubbles in the joint, misaligned kneecaps, or more commonly, the gradual breakdown of cartilage. While aging and physical activity contribute to joint stress, poor nutrition often plays a silent role. The good news? With the right dietary support, you can nourish your joints from the inside out.
Let’s explore the best vitamins for cracking knees and how they promote stronger, healthier joints.
1. Vitamin D: The Sunshine Support for Bones
Vitamin D plays a vital role in calcium absorption and bone health. Without sufficient vitamin D, your bones can weaken, placing more stress on the joints—especially the knees. Low levels of vitamin D are also linked to increased inflammation, which can worsen joint discomfort and contribute to the sounds you hear during movement.
At Vitasave, we recommend adding a high-quality Vitamin D3 supplement to your routine, especially during the colder months when sun exposure is limited.
2. Vitamin C: Collagen’s Best Friend
Vitamin C is essential for collagen production, the protein that gives structure to cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. A lack of collagen can lead to weakened joint support and increase the chances of wear and tear. Since our bodies don’t store vitamin C, it’s important to get a daily dose through diet or supplementation.
Our line of vitamin C products at Vitasave is designed to support not only your immune system but also promote joint health, making it a top vitamin for cracking knees.
3. Vitamin K2: The Underrated Bone Builder
Often overshadowed by vitamin D, vitamin K2 is crucial for directing calcium to the bones and away from the joints and arteries. By ensuring calcium ends up where it belongs, vitamin K2 helps maintain strong bones and reduces the risk of joint stiffness and deterioration.
We offer carefully formulated vitamin K2 supplements that pair well with vitamin D, creating a powerful duo for joint protection.
4. B Vitamins: Combating Inflammation
B-complex vitamins, particularly B6 and B12, play a critical role in reducing inflammation and supporting nerve function. Chronic inflammation is a known contributor to joint pain and stiffness. Supplementing with B vitamins can improve mobility and help you feel more comfortable during everyday movement.
At Vitasave, we carry a wide range of B-complex supplements, each designed to support energy, mood, and joint wellness—perfect if you’re seeking vitamins for cracking knees that go beyond basic joint support.
Supporting Your Knees, the Vitasave Way
At Vitasave, we believe in empowering you with the tools to take control of your wellness. Whether you’re just beginning to notice knee cracking or you’ve been living with joint discomfort for years, our expertly curated selection of natural supplements is here to help.

Final Thoughts
Cracking knees might seem like a small issue, but they can be your body’s way of signaling a deeper nutritional need. By focusing on key nutrients like vitamin D, C, K2, and B-complex, you can support healthy cartilage, reduce inflammation, and promote smoother joint movement.
Let Vitasave be your partner in wellness. Explore our range of high-quality, natural supplements and give your knees the support they deserve.

Dental routine (healthy teeth)
As I said in a previous post, I used to have dental problems quite often, until I made some changes and had small areas of decay recalcify (I recently had a dental exam). These are changes most dentists won't tell you, but I paid a lot of money to see dentists who did share this information with me. Unfortunately for some people, brushing and flossing, as important as they are, are not enough on their own.
I do the following:
Brush with a high quality electric toothbrush (I use a Sonicare).
Use woven floss, gliding floss doesn't clean well (I use Boka).
Use a toothpaste with xylitol and fluoride or hydroxyapatite (I use Spry but I'm willing to experiment with other toothpastes).
Nasal breathing (I used to be a mouth breather which causes dry mouth and therefore a lot of dental and gum problems).
I consume foods that contain calcium and phosphorus and I supplement with D3/K2 and magnesium. Teeth need fat soluble vitamins and deficiencies in these can lead to decalcification.
I avoid mouthwash and use coconut oil instead (this step isn't necessary, I just like the coconut oil, but traditional mouthwash can kill the good bacteria in your mouth so I avoid that altogether).
I don't eat a lot of junk nor sugar. I still consume some sugar (fruits and dark chocolate and treats here and there) and I drink coffee everyday, yet these haven't negatively impacted my teeth (they did stain them but that's a cosmetic and not a health concern).
Steps 3-6 are steps that most dentists won't tell you about (at least mine didn't). But doing all of these steps really helped my teeth (6 isn't super necessary though). 1-2, 4 and 6 are great for gum health.
Definitely brush and floss and use fluoride toothpaste (I definitely do), but you need to address any airway disorders, dry mouth issues, and nutritional deficiencies as these can contribute to poor oral health no matter how hard you brush and floss.

Vitamin K2 Market Economic Impact and Global Trade Dynamics to 2033
Introduction
Vitamin K2, a fat-soluble vitamin belonging to the broader family of vitamin K compounds, has garnered significant attention in recent years due to its profound health benefits. It plays a crucial role in calcium metabolism, cardiovascular health, bone health, and even insulin sensitivity. As awareness of these benefits grows among consumers and healthcare professionals alike, the global Vitamin K2 market is poised for sustained growth over the next decade. This article explores the key drivers, challenges, trends, and forecasts shaping the market landscape through 2032.
Market Overview
The global Vitamin K2 market was valued at approximately USD 700 million in 2023 and is expected to reach USD 2.1 billion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of around 13.1% during the forecast period. Application: Pharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals, Food & Beverages, Cosmetics
End-User: Adults, Children, Elderly
Market Drivers
Rising Health Consciousness and Preventive Healthcare
Consumers are becoming increasingly health-conscious, driving the demand for nutritional supplements. Vitamin K2’s role in bone and cardiovascular health makes it an essential addition to preventive health regimes, especially in aging populations.
Prevalence of Osteoporosis and Cardiovascular Diseases
With a growing elderly population worldwide, the incidence of osteoporosis and heart diseases is rising. Vitamin K2, particularly the MK-7 variant, helps regulate calcium deposits in the body, promoting bone density and preventing arterial calcification. This makes it a favored ingredient in dietary supplements targeted at seniors.
Innovation in Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods
The integration of Vitamin K2 in functional foods such as dairy products, cereals, and fortified beverages is a significant trend. Food manufacturers are leveraging the health benefits of K2 to cater to consumers seeking convenient and holistic nutrition solutions.
Scientific Advancements and Clinical Trials
Numerous clinical studies have substantiated the health benefits of Vitamin K2, bolstering consumer confidence. These scientific validations have paved the way for wider regulatory approval and formulation in pharmaceutical and dietary products.
Market Challenges
High Cost of Production
Natural sources of Vitamin K2, such as natto (fermented soybeans), are limited, and extraction methods are complex and expensive. This results in high production costs, affecting pricing and scalability.
Regulatory Constraints
Vitamin K2 is subject to stringent regulatory approvals across different regions. Inconsistent regulatory frameworks and labeling standards can hinder market penetration, especially for new entrants.
Low Consumer Awareness in Developing Regions
Despite growing global interest, many consumers in emerging markets are still unaware of Vitamin K2 and its specific benefits. This limits market growth in regions like Latin America, Africa, and parts of Asia.
Trends Shaping the Market
Preference for Natural and Plant-Based Ingredients
Consumers are increasingly seeking clean-label products. This has driven a shift toward naturally sourced Vitamin K2 over synthetic variants. Fermentation-derived K2, especially from chickpeas and natto, is gaining traction.
Combination Supplements
Multivitamin formulations combining Vitamin K2 with other nutrients like Vitamin D3, magnesium, and calcium are becoming popular. These combinations enhance efficacy, particularly in bone and cardiovascular health supplements.
Increased Research and Development
Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical companies are investing heavily in R&D to discover new formulations, delivery methods (like gummies and sprays), and synergistic combinations that maximize bioavailability and consumer compliance.
Expansion into Emerging Markets
Manufacturers are eyeing emerging markets in Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and the Middle East due to rising disposable incomes and growing health awareness. Localization strategies, affordable product lines, and awareness campaigns are vital in these regions.
Regional Analysis
North America
North America holds a significant share of the Vitamin K2 market, driven by high health awareness, a strong dietary supplement industry, and favorable regulations. The U.S. is the leading country in this region.
Europe
Europe is a major player, particularly due to the high elderly population and proactive regulatory bodies supporting functional foods and nutraceuticals. Countries like Germany, France, and the Netherlands are major contributors.
Asia-Pacific
This region is expected to witness the fastest growth, fueled by increasing urbanization, changing dietary habits, and growing awareness about preventive healthcare. Japan and China are leading the adoption of K2-based products.
Latin America and Middle East & Africa
These regions currently hold smaller market shares but present untapped potential. With improving healthcare infrastructure and growing wellness trends, they are poised to offer lucrative opportunities over the next decade.
Competitive Landscape
Key players in the Vitamin K2 market include:
Kappa Bioscience (a Balchem company) – A leading producer of Vitamin K2 MK-7.
Gnosis by Lesaffre – Known for its fermentation-derived K2 ingredients.
NattoPharma – Acquired by Gnosis and a pioneer in Vitamin K2 research.
DSM Nutritional Products – A global nutrition giant expanding its K2 portfolio.
GeneFerm Biotechnology Co. Ltd. – Specializes in fermentation-based Vitamin K2 production.
These companies are focusing on:
Strategic partnerships and acquisitions
Expanding product portfolios
Clinical research and health claims validation
Regional expansion, particularly in Asia-Pacific and Latin America
Future Outlook (2025–2032)
The Vitamin K2 market is poised for strong and sustained growth through 2032, with several converging trends driving its expansion:
Technological Innovation: Advances in fermentation technology and microencapsulation will improve bioavailability and shelf life.
Regulatory Harmonization: Unified global standards and approvals will enhance cross-border product launches.
Consumer Education: Growing educational campaigns by manufacturers and health organizations will improve market penetration.
E-commerce Growth: Online supplement sales, particularly through direct-to-consumer (DTC) models, will continue to rise, enhancing accessibility.
By 2032, Vitamin K2 is expected to be a standard component in many multivitamins, fortified foods, and pharmaceutical therapies, reflecting its importance in holistic wellness strategies.
Conclusion
The Vitamin K2 market is entering a dynamic growth phase, driven by increasing consumer awareness, scientific validation, and innovations in product development. While challenges like high production costs and regulatory complexities persist, the long-term outlook remains highly favorable. As health and nutrition continue to dominate consumer priorities, Vitamin K2 is set to play a pivotal role in the global shift toward preventive and functional healthcare.
