This is White Hall Mill, built in 1900 in Athens, GA and it's been converted into condos. The unit for sale has 1bd, 1ba, and is listed for $529,900 + $496mo. HOA. (Man, housing prices are way out of control.) Let's look inside.

I mean, the entrance is cute, but they've got it all furnished. The buyer has to picture their own stuff in here. Like, my furniture doesn't look like this.

Wow, this is very industrial. Looks like they just sprayed it white, put in some new plumbing, and let it go at that.

The large faux fireplace built for a modern electric unit looks weird to me.

Interesting exposed and broken brick on the wall. The paint covers the details up, though.

According to the description, the loft can be used as a 2nd bedroom.

The kitchen was recently refreshed. I like the black cabinetry, but it looks like they painted over outdated oak cabinets and added new hardware.

I still say this fireplace looks strange. Like a giant piano.

They've got a lot of stuff in here.

This is nice, the bedroom is separated by a sliding door.

The 3 pc. bath is nice, but small, and you have to walk thru the bedroom to get to it.

They do have a 2nd bedroom in the loft and it's big enough for 2 large beds.

The complex is bigger than I thought.

I thought it was the 1st unit, but it may be the last. It's on the banks of a muddy looking North Oconee River, but I like how the property curves. The woodsy opposite shore must look nice in summer.

I know Charles and Crystal’s kiss in 1x04 has been analysed to the moon and back already, but I feel like there’s something to be said about the fact that it’s spurred on by the line “I just want something that’s real”.

Something about how the most real thing in Crystal’s life at that point is a ghost drowning in emotions?? A ghost just as desperate for something real. And yet the most real thing he felt like he could give her was a kiss that he had to construct halfway in his head.

And yeah, just because Charles isn’t quite as tangible doesn’t mean he’s any less real than Crystal. But ghosts are just snapshots in time, they’re emotions made manifest. That’s in their very nature. Does he feel that gap? Based on where she’s at at that point in her arc (spending half the episode believing her mother’s calling out to her, that there’s more waiting for her out there), does she feel like she’ll take what she can get, in the moment?

A ‘why not, what do I have to lose’ kiss and a ‘goodbye, time to close this photo album’ kiss. When do either of them get something real.

Music-related content mill YouTube channels making uncanny AI videos about the Animals' history is almost funny to me for how ridiculous they are but then I remember that the emphasized details of said history (usually regarding Alan and Eric's relationship) are going to be the over-exaggerated parts that have been regurgitated uncritically since the 90s for the most shock value and drama and will just poison the well for their impressionable audience of boomers and "did you know the bassist of the Animals managed Jimi Hendrix?" fun-fact sharers, yet again pushing the blame and scapegoat status onto Alan and sullying interpretations of their relationship (and the band's general dynamic) further.

...Bring it on. Those shitty channels may work hard to spread misinformation, but my overly affectionate art and earnest infodumping about a band and a musical duo only like eight people care about works harder. 😎

I just saw something that looked similar to your portrait of Dan, Mills, and Curtis but it was just Dan and Curtis. It made me realize how different Killer7 would have been if KiD was more well known within the fanbase, and how much things would have changed if the BETA content didn't get cut out. It's like you're living in an alternative universe where that story did happen. If you think about it, if it had, Mills and Dan would have been THE ship instead of Dan and Coyote, because, imo, they basically have the same dynamic.

What I'm trying to say is, it's such a shame Mills got the short end of the stick with all this story getting cut out because he probably suffered under Curtis just as Dan has but doesn't get acknowledged in the storyline since all that stuff got cut out. your art is like a glimpse of what could have been. It's good to see some appreciation for Mills.

Yeah it's a shame that a big chunk of the story got tossed out because it would have provided a whole lotta context and given Mills a lot more background. Obviously as a big fan of Mills (I'm very normal about him) I do want to see his character explored more. Don't wanna keep my hopes up for a "Killer7 Complete edition" but, you know... Never say never.

I do have to disagree with "Mills and Dan have the same dynamic as Dan and Coyote" tho. Dan and Coyote are on the same playing field when it comes to power dynamic and toxicity, while Mills has seemingly always just let people dog him around cuz he would rather conform and avoid conflict. The reason Dan/Coyote is fun is because of their personalities and how well they clash with each other. It's a true rivalry and who doesn't love a good enemies to lovers?? They're mutually toxic

But Dan and Mills lacks that flair cuz Mills isn't someone who fights back. He bows his head like a good little boy until he has a mental breakdown about it (which I talked about before that I think is so funny he has a mental breakdown about how abused he felt by Dan and Dan just going "okay and??" 😂)

One of my favorite movie quotes is "it's not a fight if one of you doesn't fight back, right?" And I think that's what makes Coyote/Dan THE toxic yaoi ship. It's because they both fight back.

I've always seen Dan and Mills more as adoptive siblings suffering from an abusive cycle (as the father does to the son, the son does to the brother). I've made a "comic" about it and all

I don't know what to think of this. I adore old mills that are converted to homes, but only if they keep the original workings. This, however, is something I've never seen before. As you can see, everything is still here, but they completely gutted the interior of the 1933 mill in Clemmons, NC and modernized it. They left the exterior intact (and, it's still fully operational). 3bds, 4ba, 6,713sqft, $1.75m.

On the one hand I think there's value in stories that celebrate a healthy sense of independence and comfort with solitude. Not everyone thrives in familial settings or being paired off romantically. And I think in a way it could've made a lot of sense to see that represented in Lauras ending, especially if she's on the ASPD spectrum like Doctor Harrison diagnosed in 4.1.

her whole arc was spent wanting/resisting/fucking up/grieving human connection. part of me loves the idea of her going off to be a badass fighting for humanity with questionably moral tactics, but maybe a bit of "you need to learn to love yourself before you can learn to love and be loved by others" context would have made her ending make a lot more sense.
