This building is listed as a single family residence and I think that it could be fun for the right family or group of friends. The 1910 building is in Childress, TX and has 4bds, 4ba. But, the "home" is 18,160 sq. ft. of space and only $530K.
It looks like it could've been some sort of a venue, which would be an income producing live/work situation. When you walk in, it has surfaces covered by architectural salvage tin ceilings, in a reception area, I think.
Steel girders hold up a silvery ceiling and there appears to be a dance floor with lovely faux Wisteria hanging down from a pergola.
Then there's a grass shack with storm windows. Isn't that interesting?
I like this wall made of old doors. You can rent it out as a fun venue, but it would make the coolest living space.
Look at the recycled wood and corrugated metal walls.
I don't know what you would do with this bonus space. It has beautiful stick walls and would make a good workshop. Maybe even a studio.
The 2nd floor is just as large as the 1st, but it's empty so it looks more vast. It would make a great loft apt. It has a silvery Victorian ceiling.
Oh, look, they left a fun sign in the bathroom. There's a urinal, too.
We're going up again, and I'm hoping the residence is up there.
Oh, very nice. If those are the doors to the residence, look at all the free space out here.
If you ever wanted a really big kitchen, this is it. Look at the cabinetry and built-ins.
There's a nice desk here.
Now, here's a sitting area by folding barn doors.
Look at that, the office is like a little building and has privacy.
This is nice- the floor is done and there's some beautiful exposed brick.
Huge living area.
This is nice. I would put a big bar in here.
Beautiful bedroom.
With an en-suite. Pretty nice. I like the wood-look tile floor.
Very nice bedroom has an elevated sleeping area and beautiful floors.
Large shower room en-suite. Not lovin' the diarrhea brown, though. I would repaint.
And, this is a cool bedroom and bath.
Plenty of room for games.
And, check this out- there's a tiki bar on the roof.
Doesn't it look like the beach?
It's reasonably priced for such a huge building. If you had lots more money, it has potential. I would definitely make the 2nd fl. a loft apt. , too.

don't hug me i'm scared episode 6 electricity is really something when you're autistic, huh. yellow guy is made fun of all his life by his only friends and laughed at for being "stupid" when all he needed was a change of batteries but no one would listen to him and give him the accommodations he needed and deserved and when he finally did get new batteries and become more clearheaded his friends didn't like him any better. they stopped making fun of him, sure, but they didn't like that he was "smart" all of a sudden, because they'd gotten used to him being "the stupid one". and he looked in the mirror and saw his former self, and his reflection asked him, "have we gone wrong? they seem upset with us" because the truth is even if the way you are now is more comfortable for you, even if it doesn't hurt to think anymore, people will only ever like you if you're the Right Kind of autistic/adhd/traumatized/whatever. have we gone wrong? have we gone wrong? that's what you always ask yourself. "maybe they're not in charge of us anymore." "maybe they never were." and his reflection walks away, as if accepting that the others will think what they will think, and it won't matter, because yellow guy is his own person, no matter how difficult it is for him to articulate his thoughts, and he doesn't need their approval to think. "maybe they never were."

Did Saint-Just ever talk about women’s education?
He sure did! In his Fragments sur les institutions républicaines, he details his idea for the education of girls. Which is as follows:
Les filles sont élevées dans la maison maternelle.
(The girls are educated in maternal home)
That's it. And it comes after a lengthily discussion on the education of boys. So it does sound like SJ remembered girls only as an afterthought, and didn't have much to say on the topic. (I mean, he definitely didn't have much to say on the topic because if he had more ideas, he'd write them down).
Now, I am not sure what this means exactly. That girls should not have much education? Or that any education done to girls should be done in the home? (Those are two very, very different options). SJ was big on protecting girls and women from sexual violence (sometimes seen as going outside without a protector), so maybe this is a reflection on that?
Don't get me wrong, this whole education for women is a big L from him, but he grew up at a time where female literacy was becoming a norm, at least for bourgeoise girls. They would get some education on things deemed important for a girl; SJ's own sisters were literate. So I doubt he would want girls to have absolutely no education, or only what their mother can teach (?) I mean, maybe? But that would be mega stupid, because you want the woman of the future Republic to know enough about the world so they can instill patriotic values in their daughters, so they can be good mothers and wives of the future republicans, if nothing else.
So my interpretation is that he got caught so much into developing that idea of friendship-filled, Sparta-inspired program of education for boys that he forgot about the existence of girls until late. And he didn't care that much about it, past "yes, girls get some education". So yes, an L from SJ on this one, but it is too limited to conclude what exactly he thought about the education of women or what he saw as an "appropriate" education for them.

Madly in love with this amazing factory conversion with an art gallery on the ground floor, in Jersey City, New Jersey. 5bds, 5ba, $5.25M.
Very pretty stained glass doors. The beams are probably original to the old factory.
Very large kitchen. The handles on the cabinets look like art.
The dining area is lovely.
This isn't the art gallery, but this 1st floor sitting area looks like one.
What a delightful room with butterflies on the ceiling.
Here's an area that the owners use as a home gym.
What an interesting vintage sink with 3 faucets.
Someone actually climbed into this old freight elevator shaft to hang pictures, b/c it's been enclosed in glass.
The living room has lovely marble floors and is light and bright.
Look at the large bar. Well, this is a home that would be perfect for entertaining.
The railings on the stairs are a work of art in themselves. Love the exposed brick wall.
At first I thought that wall was wallpaper- so many colorful books.
Isn't this a whimsical fireplace?
The primary bedroom is gigantic and the freight elevator lets you off right inside.
The en-suite is huge and has the laundry in here, too.
Beautiful toile mural in this bedroom.
Attractive tiled bath with a wonderful door.
It has a large basement with tons of storage.
Plus, it has a garage which is golden in a city.
There's more than one rooftop patio.
Here's a wooden deck.
Jersey City has a direct New York City view, too.
