Sun's attitude is not like Dark Sun maybe there's something deeper

Okay I've been seeing a lot of people saying Sun's attitude in Sun's Dark Secret reminds them of Dark Sun but I think it's more than that. See we all know Moon gets mad quick and it's been like that for years,usually Sun would Sutterand be terrified of Moon when he yells but in Sun's Dark Secret he was calm,emotionless even and I think it's because he got so use to Moon's yelling that he gets numbs it all

Like,,, NO??? Sun doesn't owe Moon anything. Not. A. Damn. Thing. Not for the amount of hurt that Moon's put him through, time and time again. Sun's reaction right now is a trauma response that's finally starting to surface. It's been building up, and we're only seeing it now, because things have reached this point and gotten this bad

Sun is completely within his right to be experiencing a trauma response. It feels like Molten dismissed it as Sun just being petty and holding onto anger needlessly. Hence why Molten just needs to stop. I highly doubt Sun would be comfortable opening up to Molten right now anyway, considering that Molten is the one who stripped him of his rays, and likely took away what little bit of confidence Sun had

Yeah, sure, whatever, kudos to Moon for not getting mad and screaming, I guess. There's a little improvement there, in a sense, but if that's where we're setting the bar, that's just sad. Not "I'm gonna cry" sad, either. The pathetic kind of sad. I know I'm being harsh with my wording, but I'm not sure how else to phrase these thoughts I'm having

Imagine betraying someone's trust and going back on your word, time and time again. Imagine going through a period where you physically beat them. Imagine lying countless times. Imagine being verbally aggressive for no goddamn reason and making someone feel like they're an idiot who's only capable of screwing things up, and that they're ugly, and that they're unlovable and therefore going to die alone

And now imagine feeling like you need encouragement from that same person. A big, warm congratulations, because you didn't yell at them or threaten them today

Normally, these shows don't make me cry. I cried when Earth/Terra was told that Solar died, and I shed a few tears for Moon, when he chose to give up his life to let KC have a chance to live a life of his own. I don't cry very often, but my sensitivity level right now is very high, and my eyes are watering up a little, and. Fuck. I love these stupid silly robot soap operas, but I might have to take a break, if the current shit show doesn't stop

Rambles about my own history under the cut (feel free to ignore them), because I guess I feel stronger about all of this than I realized. The TLDR of it is that I know what it's like to be in Sun's position,, because I'm related to someone who did all the same shit that Moon's doing. Obviously on a more realistic scale, we're not talking about trying to solve huge mysteries that involve serial killers or unknown entities that watch over hundreds of dimensions at a time, or anything crazy like that. It hits close to home though, and it hits me in a place where I'm incredibly sensitive

Maybe I'll delete this post later. Or go back and edit out everything to do with my past and my personal experiences. Maybe. We'll see. It depends on how weird and self conscious this makes me feel later tonight

I've known people who were like Moon. One person, specifically. He didn't even try to be better until everything in his life was falling apart and people were cutting ties with him. He kept me around by manipulating and guilt tripping me, and I was soft and felt bad, so I stayed. He did better for a little bit, and then he got bad again. My emotional and mental health plummeted, and I was in a very dark place, because I felt like I needed to be there for him

He promised he'd do better, and be a better person, but it never lasted. Every time he screwed up, he defaulted to a very oscar-winning performance of "I'm sorry :'( I don't know why I keep doing this to you, maybe I should just die. I'm so sorry, I love you, I'm gonna do better, I swear"

And guess what? Nothing changed. He was better for maybe a few days, then he went right back to his old habits

I had other people tell me that I should forgive him, but these people had no idea what he was like behind closed doors. I was scared of him, but I loved him so, so much, and I wanted to help him with every fiber of my being. Because he was my dad. That piece of shit was my family, and I felt like I NEEDED to love him, even when he put me through hell. As soon as I was old enough to decide for myself (according to this stupid fuckass legal system), I left and never reached out to him again. And I don't care to. I even go out of my way to avoid him, whenever it's necessary

I absolutely feel like Sun should just take Dazzle and leave. He can keep in contact with whoever he wants, but he needs to be away from Moon. For the foreseeable future, or for a little while. However long it takes for Moon to figure himself out and do whatever needs to be done so he can better himself
