Since I don't think I've written it down fully, Fahranur is incredibly stressful for anyone involved anyway, but in the verse with Rhenn as commander, it gets even worse.

Since Kippa is a talented healer and the team's stay behind medic, she's often with Taimi while Rhenn and Iuno are off doing Commander Stuff. Which means she was with Taimi when Joko's forces busted in and kidnapped her... effectively ending up with both of them being taken.

So the whole thing was even more stressful when they went in. Rhenn was on a warpath, and he wasn't hearing any of Braham's criticisms, to the point that he snapped at him at one point while they worked their way deeper into the first city.

(Hilariously, this is the part in the story where Rhenn and Braham made up and rekindled their friendship.)

They ran across Rhenn's father Prikk in the Hall of Hadoon, before the throne room where they would go in and rescue Taimi. He and a number of Inquest researchers were holding Kippa captive here.

And all of the Inquest researchers were Awakened.

Including Prikk himself.

This wound up being the point at which Rhenn learned what exactly his father had done. That he was proof of concept, a "perfect specimen" designed using experimental biomed (basically shaky genetic research) and magitech, born in a tube. Biologically, he's still Prikk and Mili's son. But he was designed to be the pinnacle of asuran evolution, and if he made one, he had every intention to make more.

Of course, now he serves Joko. But parts of Prikk still remain in there, largely because Joko wills it. And those parts needle at Rhenn, telling him he's meant to be better than the rest, that Kippa is worthless, of inferior breeding, meek and timid and weak, that he deserves better than that.

All this while Kippa was insisting he save Taimi first. That he couldn't wait, he needed to go.

At which point, between learning he was only created as part of a project and never a beloved child but instead one step in Prikk's master plan, and the way Prikk was speaking about Kippa?

That's when Rhenn lashed out and smashed his own father's head with his hammer. Repeatedly, until Iuno and Braham pulled him off.

After sending Rytlock and Canach to get Kippa to safety (with some arguing), Rhenn continued on with Iuno and Braham with every intention of getting Taimi to safety too.

When they eventually got to Taimi in the throne room, they learned from her that it was set up this way intentionally, and Kippa's desperate pleading had a purpose. There never should have been time to save them both. Either they left Kippa to save Taimi first or they saved Kippa and rushed to Taimi.

One of them should have died.

By the time they get there, Scruffy's already running out of oxygen, and the fight goes very differently. As Scruffy goes critical and Taimi's clearly out of time, Rhenn throws himself out of the bubble Braham created to climb up on the golem himself, digging his claws into joints and using the godawful experiments his father did on him for good:

He can interface with asuran tech because of arcane crystals directly implanted into his body. And so he overcharged himself, forcing Scruffy open to drag Taimi out and dive under the bubble before they both wound up dead.

He passed out after confirming Taimi was safe.

And god, Kippa and Taimi both were traumatized. And Rhenn was furious with himself. How could this have happened?

His stalwart determination did much to repair his relationship with Braham, but at what cost? He also has to do a lot of self searching about who he is and what he wants.

It's a difficult time for everyone.

If I was to ever Bring back my Old TTTE AU I would have to rework it so much. I still like the idea of Space Guards in space but they are a little goofy nowadays. Probably rail guards that have high tech like Mili tech or Arasaka?

Relationship w Spam:

•Lemon - didn’t rlly get along w him. Constantly thinks he’s never going to make it anywhere and chooses not to engage at the risk of loosing popularity. Always cared for Spamton in general, but didn’t want to show “weakness”. By far the most upset that Spam is gone.

•Rose - too busy for Spam to even talk to. Didn’t want to engage either. Rose has high standards, he barely talks to Azure and Mili, Spam was no exception. But they do care for him, wanted to help him with sales before their popularity. Eventually gave up, seeing as spam never got any deals, but still cares and kinda blames themselves for not being there.

•Azure - by far the closest with him. Nicer than the others, doesn’t get a lot of sales often, so they have something in common. Misses Spamton a lot and constantly cries about him, wishes she didn’t leave him in the dark.

•Mili - was close-ish to Spam. They spoke often enough to be considered friends. Helped Spam more directly. Tried to assist him with sales (which never worked). Gave up on him fairly quickly, and regrets it. Thinks it’s his fault Spamton is “gone”.
