I was looking for some panels from ch.237, and noticed that bridge looked oddly familar...

So @melatien tagged me with the panel in this image and said the man that's leaving is probably AFO

I completely forgot about this panel because my most recent memories are of the anime, BUT THIS WASN'T IN THE ANIME. THEY LEFT THIS OUT.

You all remember the theory about AFO giving Tomura Decay, right?

I have this nagging feeling now that Tomura was actually quirkless. That's why he was a "late bloomer."

I used to be convinced that this theory was just that. A theory and nothing more. I've considered the fact again that his quirk just... doesn't make sense. You would expect maybe something similar to Nana's floating quirk, not something as random as Decay. This was the only thing I saw giving the theory any traction: the weird occurrence of Tomura getting a decay quirk. That can also be deduced to mutated quirks like Eri's and Tokoyami's (I believe he has human-looking parents. I recall it being mentioned in one of the light novels. Correct me if I'm wrong). But we have this panel showcasing a very tall man wearing a suit and NO TIE, MIGHT I ADD, sending Tomura home. I also feel like it's important to note the heights here. We know AFO is very very tall, coming up to a whopping 7'4 (still nothing compared to Fatgum who stands at 8'2, but this isn't about him), and the average height of a 5 year old boy is about 3'6-3'8, and we can see that Tenko just comes up to this man's hips.

One of my friends said they think AFO was just scouting, which is also completely possible! Again, this is only a theory. But I have a feeling that he already knew about Kotarou. I'm sure he has ways of finding out everything he can about the OFA users (he has a lot of "friends," after all). It probably wouldn't be too hard to learn that a pro hero such as Nana had a family. It makes sense that AFO would specifically target a user's family since he's also shown a bit of a tendency for revenge, given that he KILLS the users instead of only trying to get OFA (more specifically: Yoichi) back. (This can probably be excused pretty easily though, because as of the latest chapter (407) we can see that he also kills for the sake of killing, but I feel like it's different when it comes to the users).

His revenge on Nana was using her son as a vessel for himself when his body eventually grew too weak to continue on. It could easily have been a part of his plan to give Tenko that quirk when he brought him home so that Tenko would eventually kill his entire family by accident, leaving AFO with the perfect opportunity to take him in.

I got stuck for a bit on the itching, because it seems to be an effect of his quirk, and it was happening before his quirk came in. But I think that can easily be deduced to stress or anxiety. Itchiness can be an effect of stress and/or anxiety. Tenko was very stressed and anxious in his living situation because of his father. Having a father who beat and berated him because he didn't have the same ideals (and even had a dream that went against those ideals) obviously would have made him highly stressed, and would have made him feel anxious when at home.

He learned that getting rid of the problem (his father) made the itching go away. Which would make it easier to believe what AFO told him.

AFO took him in and told him that the itchiness is because he has a need to destroy, and that it can only be fixed by destroying.

Now when he is angry, his first resort is murder. When he can't murder someone he's mad at, he gets stressed out because things aren't going his way, which causes the itching to return.

All For One manipulated this child into believing that the ONLY WAY to get rid of that itch is to DESTROY. Considering that this is only a theory, this could still be very true. The itchiness could still easily be a side effect of a mutated quirk that he was simply born with. And because it's initially a quirk for destruction, the itchiness is just a way of telling him to destroy (and theory-wise, I think this still works. Stress caused him to itch, and it ultimately played a part in him murdering Kotarou. The quirk is emotion-driven, so it's possible that because the itch led him to murder, the quirk intensifies the feeling because it triggers his need to destroy).

(I will add that the quirk could still be used for good. He'd make a great rescue hero specialising in evacuation, minus the "must kill or itch will stay" bit.)

This is such a horrific revenge, which is why I think AFO would totally do something like this. He's a manipulative, vengeful, possessive man. He gave Tomura the quirk, manipulated him into believing that his problems could only be solved through murder. He did this as revenge on Nana for keeping his "thing" (Yoichi) away from him.

I'm excited to see if anything comes of this theory. I'm down for any possibility, whether it be that AFO was scouting, had a chance meeting with Tomura, or this theory. I just saw that panel and got excited when I remembered this theory, and I really wanted to talk about my thoughts on how the theory could make sense.

The luxury car heated, the increasing body heat only allowed steam to cover the windows.

“Princess… princess, f-fuck…”

Your tongue slid down his shaft, eyelids lowered as you stared up at him. The way his usually happy-go-lucky expression shifted and twisted into one of immense pressure. He covered his mouth, his abdomen heaving up and down. Sweat dripped down the front of his body, face flushed with red. His usual wild golden and crimson-tipped hair was bunched up against the back of the car seat.

“You taste so good, Kyojuro…” your voice was so breathy, the hot air only causing him to gasp and throw his head back.

Your tongue moved from the bottom back up, slowly wrapping it around the fat swollen red tip. Your dress rode up as you wiggled your hips, revealing the soft baby pink thong you were wearing under the dress. His hand came up behind you, caressing your bottom, fingers grazing and caressing your lace panties.

“So… so fucking good,” you whispered against him, “and you make me feel so fucking good too.”

Slowly you lifted your whole body up, the two of you moving in sync. His large hands came up behind you, with an extra tight grip, lifting you slightly above him. The top of your head grazed the ceiling of the car as he pulled you, shuffling his body to sit up a bit. He reached underneath you, groaning as he could feel your lips press against his own. You could feel him grab his cock, angling it perfectly. His other hand moved down towards your side, his rough fingers pulling away at your thong. Kyojuro moved it to the side, revealing your wet, dripping pussy.

You pulled away from his lips, taking this time to look him in his blazing eyes. Weaving your fingers through his wild hair,

“Kyojuroooo, fuuuuck,” you hissed, grounding your head into his shoulders as he slowly eased himself in.

He himself groaned, his sounds muffled by his lips in your hair. Slowly, you lifted and grounded your hips into him, the overwhelming feeling overtaking both your body and senses.

“Princess,” he groaned, “princess, your father is expecting us at lunch in thirty minutes we cant… fuck you feel so good… we can’t be late.”

You rode him faster and faster, tongue out licking up all the sweat dripping down his neck. The salty taste stung your tongue slightly, but it didn’t stop you from your plans. You laid small sweet kisses along his neck, before beginning to leave small love bites wherever they land.

“I’m gonna be… honest Kyo… I r-really don’t give a fuck.”

That was the last coherent thing you said before you could feel Kyojuro grab underneath your ass, before slamming his hips into you. Your screams echoed in the car, coupled with Kyojuro’s bursts and grunts. Luckily the two of you were parked in an alley, with little to no foot traffic. You were willing to bet one of your expensive necklaces that if someone was to walk by, they'd be able to hear the both of you. Imagine what they’d see,

“You should be quieter Princess, imagine what someone would say if they… if they saw you like this.”

“Or maybe you don’t care… god just look at you.”

“So debauched… and so beautiful… and all for me.”

He reached up, and pulled your head down, looking straight into your glossed-over eyes, filled with intensity and emotions. All too many at once.

“Your mine… ain’t that right Princess?”

You jumped, your knee slightly hitting the table as your name was called. You shook your head, breaking yourself away from the memory that happened a while before you arrived here. You looked around, finding your father staring at you, along with his two advisors. Behind you, you could feel Kyojuro’s warm presence come up behind you.

Parallels. Parallels everywhere.

Most of these Deku images were from Chapter 2 when he was training with All Might, and the fourth one was from the Sports Festival.

1) Both were lying on the floor, in conflict with themselves. Midoriya trained beyond the regimen All Might set for him in order to surpass what they originally planned for, but that only made him collapse sooner. Shigaraki was holding back due to the remnants of his morales, while AFO was there urging him to give that up for what he truly wants. Midoriya had the determination but lacked the power, while Shigaraki had the power but lacked the determination.

2) Both of them states their minds. Midoriya expressed his desire to catch up in strength, and Shigaraki expresseed that he can no longer hold back. Both of their mentors were impressed.

3) At the end of what’s considered their initial “training”, we get a full frontal shot of them and where they ended up. Shigaraki subconsciously restrained his quirk’s strength using the hands, and Midoriya shows off his hard work at building up his strength. Curious enough, AFO and All Might also had the same pose in that set of images.

4) After coming in first in the obstacle race, Midoriya cleared a hurdle and showed his victory to All Might. Shigaraki overcame his mental block and finally remembers everything, and he no longer needs the hand of Father that held it back.

MHA 237 Things

SPOILERS (obvi)

A few things:

1- AFO’s name is Shigaraki!!

2- Are Shigaraki’s memories gone due to pure trauma, or an outside force/quirk? It sounds like they purposefully tried to remove them, but AFO is like, “Nah, they’re still there in his heart.” Either way, shit with Shiggy’s about to get SO REAL. We thought he was badass before, or that his power was evolving... but he was holding himself back. I mean, we saw him disintegrate a whole ass skyscraper, but that’s nothing compared to what he can actually do, right? [edit: They didn’t alter his memories, but they... enabled their repression, if that makes sense. Doctor man offered to fuck them up, tho.]

When he killed his family, we saw that his quirk doesn’t even require touching, and it had a raw destructive power and AOE that rivaled Chisaki’s Overhaul—as a child. When Shigaraki destroys his father’s hand, he’s becoming what he always was, what AFO was grooming him for all of this time: a truly evil powerhouse with world-destroying power and insatiable hatred.

Hawks and the other pros are in sooo much trouble. At this point, if Hawks gets in and slips up, it’s not Dabi he needs to worry about. I don’t know if he even stands a chance (Shigaraki was capable of taking on Aizawa, and he has come such a long way since then). [edit: Hawks totally stands a chance. I’m just worried about the AOE and how they might have gigantomachia on their side after this is all over.]

 Also— was the extra hand Nana’s?? Plus, he feels like he’ll be forgiven no matter what he does? That’s a strangely resonating line for me, I dunno.

3- DABI’S BACK! He and Apocrypha both look super beat up. Dabi doesn’t even turn around, though, while Apocrypha at least acknowledges other things are happening. It also looks like Dabi’s smoking pretty hard. It could be fire, smoke, or steam from the ice, but at least part of it looks like it’s being emitted from Dabi, so he’s still in the game, at least. I’m worried about him, though. He’s the worst off in a situation like this.

 Side-note: I don’t think Shigaraki’s in that much danger anymore. Like, he may finally be able to put down Machia AND Re-Destro in one go, and then he’ll finally be worthy as the symbol of evil.

4- WHAT ARE THOSE!!!???

All in all, I really liked this chapter. I was getting a little impatient with Shigaraki’s origin story, but it transitioned so well and it was so awesome.

so after last week i wasn't sure if wed be getting another backstory chapter the first one setting up shigaraki and his home life was plenty already but horikoshi dropped a second one that went into horrific detail to the point where that 236 is in my top 10 might drop a list of my favourite chapters at some point i dunno however seems were getting tomura shigaraki origin 

anyway lets get straight into this chapter

what i love about little tenko wandering around is that it really shows how apathetic everyone is to the situation especially since apathy is a rather large societal problem especially prominent in japan though i doubt horikohsohi is trying to have political commentary in his manga he simply highlights these problems which in my opinion is the best way to go about it. it also continues this theme of shigaraki searching for a helping hand in this mental anguish and its to bad that the one who finds him is Eviler(er) Lex Luthor

cutting forwards after tenko is taken in by all for one who describes the itch as a urge to kill and after having a run in with some asshats as there discussion boils down to following your heart instead of repressing it and i kinda like the way horikoshi has portrayed there relationship yes all for one is manipulating him but thats not the same as warping him he's not saying oh they wronged you go kill them he's allowing tenko to come to his own decision it also gives the illusion for choice in shigaraki he wasn't forced to continue down this road which i prefer to the more artificial versions of this backstory where a character is manipulated to such an extent they might as well be a clone.

Forshadowing 101 its getting more and more likely that shigaraki`s going to kylo ren all might

don't know how i feel about shigaraki now wearing the hands of some no name shonen cliches its a nice metaphor especially when there destruction symbolises letting go of his need for petty revenge but at the same time it feels like horikoshi kinda used this as a explanation for the before unaccounted 2 pairs of hands and leaves me to question why he doesn't wear overhauls hand or at least keep it as a trophy but I still like it

Honestly i don't know why people take all for one at face value here when he tells him shigaraki is his name considering horikoshi likes to have there names tie into there characters and while it would add some complexity to his character considering shigaraki has a bizarre resemblance to his brother however shigaraki means death grip and whilst he has a grip over shigaraki its more then likely this is a manpution tactic as giving tenko his own name gives the perception of acceptance and adoption.that being said ive always liked the idea of All for one having some form of affection for shigaraki and in a sense giving tenko the name shigaraki would also be a brand in a weird twisted sense especially when all for one wants shigaraki to follow in his footsteps

personally i think this chapter was kinda pointless i loved it none the less and it had nice parallels which is something i always love but we didn't really need this chapter it could of come at a later date, honestly i kinda wished horikoshi had eeked out shigarakis backstory over the arc a few flashbacks here and there rather then constantly dropping origin chapters because as much as i enjoy them i want to see more of the league .

despite this the ending of this chapter is one of the best endings for a chapter however I'm hoping this doesn't mean shigaraki will suddenly gain any more power ups considering all he needed was spreading decay but all we can do is speculate. that being said i can't wait for shigaraki to finally move on and see how he develops seeing as this was almost inevitable

We have 237 chapter,where Shigarali kills thugs who beated him on street. And as a "present" AFO gives him hands of dead enemies (seriously you better give him Witcher 3 Deluxe edition as present). But i look closely and noyice smth and that detail make me wild!

Please say that i am blind stupid b#tch!!! Please. Do you see left palms. I dont.

was absolutely terrible to read. the normal heroes around couldn't help him so they literally just stood around "waiting for someone with the right quirk to show up"

"Someone will come to save you soon... A hero's bound to come..."

No! WHO?! NO ONE!!! no hero was going to end up saving him! All Might was spent and he only intervened because deku did.

Deku KNEW Kacchan was straight up going to kick the bucket if no one did anything. The villain said "just a little bit more" and was annoyed Deku distracted him. kacchan ! was going to ! stop breathing ! while everyone just stood by and watched.

and you know what this reminds me of?

"a hero or the police or someone... will come soon.."

LIKE???? COINCIDENCE MUCH??

for Kacchan, it was Deku who came and saved him. if he didn't Kacchan wouldve been utterly defeated (im trying not to use the other d word)

HONESTLY that sludge villain scene absolutely shook me to my core with disgust. this kid needed help and no other hero pushed their own limit to save him.

and DONT GET ME STARTED ON MR "he's too slippery" PRO HERO. this man did nothing. no panel where he was helping elsewhere. what's his quirk? telling deku his efforts are for nothing??? HOLD ME BACK this hero is doo doo ! Deku was smaller, weaker, and had no quirk whatsoever but he still went up there and did SOMETHING
