Re: overall tumblr top 10: I think it’s funny that my throwaway moodboards are often some of the most popular content on my blog. Things I’m just like ‘ooh I gotta make this’ are mixed in with requests, I think that’s interesting! Ms. Frizzle just blowing away the competition, that’s amazing and I love it. Nothing is even close to how popular she is, and she deserves it. Jack Skellington coming onto the list twice? Come through king, I would love to write a full fic in Halloweentown sometime. 

Generally, the more ‘alternative’ characters seem to get a lot more attention on my blog: The Pumpkin King, Morticia, Wybie, Sundrop and Moondrop... Tiana and Naveen really snuck up there though! 

Moving onto the more direct fic comparison: 

....well this made me realize that I never published my Sanders Sides fics from this blog on AO3, whoops 

Setting that aside, fics with angst and plot tend to do better on AO3, while fluffy stories do better on tumblr: Sugary Sweet doesn’t even hit my top 10 on AO3 and it’s one of the fluffiest fics I’ve ever written, coming in at #5 on the tumblr list 

On the other hand, Only Heaven I’ll Be Sent To is by far one of my best performing fics on AO3, but comes in at number 6 (tied with another fic) on tumblr, probably because it features a lot of action and gore alongside the fluffy agere elements, same for Restrained showing up on the AO3 top but not tumblr’s. 

My Harry Potter fics do way better on tumblr, which is interesting? Maybe Harry Potter fans are still reading their fics on independent forums? Or Harry Potter folks on AO3 don’t cross over much with the agere crowd. (Or maybe they’re just overloaded with /reader fics) I haven’t been actually into the HP community since around 2011 so I’m not sure what’s up there. 

Big shoutout to Class Outing for dominating the top of both lists: BNHA is such a big fandom that it makes sense, and I wrote that fic on @agere-fandom-time, which I think got more interaction than this blog: it seems like people are more comfortable interacting with a group-run blog, rather than an individual writer. Or maybe that’s a natural consequence of more writers putting out more consistent content, letting the blog get bigger. I’m not sure! Either way, even if I’m not into BNHA anymore, I feel like it’s a good piece of my writing, so I’m happy for it to be my top spot.

The thing he treasured for so long, has finally ceased to be. His guilt, his fears, his quirk - they’re not holding him down anymore.

What I noticed from previous chapters(but thought was just some artistic decisions) was that now that he’s remembered everything, Shigaraki’s hair turned actual white. Compare this to the flashback he has on that page, and you can clearly see the inner lines that used to outline his hair is gone now. I think that reexperiencing his childhood trauma lightened his hair again. Or, that’s what Bones will eventually use to retcon Shiggy’s hair.

Re-Destro finally goes 100%, but Shigaraki pulled off an awesome counter! In order to avoid being flung back through the city like last time, this time he parried Re-Destro’s attack before it could even leave his hand, nullifying the whole thing and emerging unscathed.

Smoke swirling around him, a broken jacket flapping about like wings. He really is like an angel of death and destruction.

At the same time, even after accumulating so much damage (is it just shading or is his left foot gone??!), he’s still smiling and talking nonchalantly.

Re-Destro is spooked now. (Finally we get our obligatory reaction of fear directed towards Shigaraki. Horikoshi did say that when making Shigaraki, he wanted the readers to feel fear towards him. It’s no surprise he also demonstrates it through the reactions of other characters.) Honestly, watching someone you thought was weak, but constantly getting back up and refusing to stay down, eventually when your attacks just stop damaging him while he inches closer to you... having Shigaraki as an opponent really is scary.

Re-Destro’s chest going doki-doki. He has long since lost his calm composture. But what he’s feeling isn’t fear, because fear would add to his power.

It’s Love, baby.

Lol, jk. But honestly Shiggy saying Re-Destro’s size isn’t impressive, and Re-Destro feeling an emotion that’s reducing his stress. Really makes you think, eh?

Nah, I’ll say more about my theory when we get to the later pages.

But anyway, Re-Destro goes 150% in a mecha suit, Gigantomachia is still heading their way, and Dabi finally came back! With a concerning discolored hand, but still in one piece (for now). Meanwhile... Mr. Compress is showing a heart! 👌👌

Ujiko is really harsh with the get-Shiggy-stronger-plan, huh. (Poor John-chan) But I understand his caution since nobody outside of the League knows about his existence.

Still gotta deal with collateral though. What’ll he do if Shigaraki just lose all his limbs like Darth Vader?

Geten and Re-Destro showed a closer relationship than others. It looks like a father-son or master-disciple kind of thing. With all these flashbacks, I think we’ll get more of the story soon, or if they survive this arc.

Gigantomachi arrives, and saw what Shigaraki is doing with a strange look on his face. At the same time Re-Destro remarked about how Shigaraki is using his quirk how he wants to - representing the roots of what the Liberation Army stood for.

What Re-Destro felt as he saw the unleashing of Shigaraki’s liberated quirk, what eased the stress that he built up all this time, what Gigantomachia showed in his expression.

It was awe. 

Since Shigaraki is using his quirk however he wants, and it’s exactly what the liberation army ideology is about (not counting how other members twisted it to fit what they want). But what Re-Destro want is to follow Destro’s footsteps, absolving Destro’s regrets and taking everything so seriously that he would snap his secretary’s neck when he criticized the book.

 I think after years of stress and building up the Liberation army and its ideology, seeing it used, actually gave him some catharsis and easing back his stress.

Anyways, no chapter next week!

Edit: Btw I almost forgot. Shigs is taking down the whole city... is the League gonna be okay? The decay’s not going to spread to them, right? Right?? (Hopefully we get to see if Shigaraki can direct it to hit who he wants to destroy and leave his comerades alone).
