In honor of may-ta knight prompts here a watercolor painting for metaknight I have from last year:) I believe this is actually the first time I've drawn meta knight, which is quite surprising since he's one of my favorite characters like ever lol

Gotham was welcoming of Amity Parkers.

not as loving as with her own but she was way more patient with the people of her friend that any other outsiders.

so the people of Amity those Liminal and aware of her tried to pay her kindness back, to a reasonable degree of course but they could help and she let them stay so they did.

Paulina took it upon herself to make a nice place in the fashion district, she sold some charms to help with the curses as much as she could.

Sam being Sam opened a surprisingly Ivy Approved community garden and was very hard to convince not to join the Eco-terrorist but they managed to, thankfully.

the Fentons designed filters to help the 'Parkers but it was good for the city too if too little to do much.

Val hadn't moved here (yet) but she visited often enough and each visit volunteered somewhere.

Gotham grown to adore them almost as their own, she even hid them from the bats for a while to let them settle (and maybe help her more before her Knight inevitably got paranoid)

Gotham laughed when her King stumbled into her Red Knight, you could hear it in subtle ways the sounds of the night flowed just a little too much like a giggle.

Hood did deserve more good things she's proud of herself!

I've been thinking...

Meta Knight has shown himself to be extremely independent in many cases. He's got friends, family, and a crew in the Meta-Knights, but he's still called "The Lone Swordsman" for a reason! He goes on big journeys of self-improvement alone, and when it comes down to it he prefers a one-on-one duel rather than fighting in a big group in his boss fights (even though he could absolutely call on his crew to overwhelm a single opponent if he wanted to, right?). He seems to really like his alone time.

But conversely we've also seen examples in canon and fanon of him being a mentor and guide to Kirby, or Bandana Dee, Sailor Dee, etc....

What if Meta Knight is so quick to mentor multiple young beings because he didn't have a positive mentor figure in his early life :')

What if somewhere in his backstory, he was very young and landed in Dreamland with zero knowledge of the world, strange powers that he didn't know how to use, and absolutely nobody to lean on? So he gained his sense of fierce independence because he had to figure out everything by himself in his early life and that's just what he's used to.

BUT whenever he sees a chance to prevent someone else from feeling as lonely and lost as he once did, he jumps at the chance to be a guide and guardian for them? So they can have an easier and happier childhood/young life than he did?! >:'D

My personal main Kirby character head canons 🌟 (sorry it's long and messy)

Characters in order: Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, Bandana Waddle Dee, Galacta Knight, Dark Meta Knight, Morpho Knight

Kirby:

- the definition of gluttony; will try to eat any food spotted

- extreme fear of caterpillar creatures

- is young but not baby; can understand basic speech

- really carefree nature, accidentally causes trouble

- can talk, just prefers not to

- copies abilities from characters and objects (if copies an ally, can spit them back out after like Light Novel)

- summons a warpstar by wishing for it to appear

- has a phone but it's always uncharged (can sorta telepathically send requests to the other Kirbys like the warp star)

Meta Knight (Meta):

- has 2 pairs of wings (real and cape)

- has an extreme sweet tooth (tries really hard to sneak eating it however)

- keeps everything he takes with him in his cape (armor/candy/sword)

- normally has white colored eyes and pink blushes (when preparing for a battle he'll put contacts and concealer to hide those)

- is prone to being startled (still tries his hardest to hide it)

- has a fear of ghosts

- jumps to action without thinking things through

- seemingly cold, is actually lonely so appreciates Kirby and the others company deep down

- will do anything to upkeep his stark image

- arms are like Kirby's, just stretched out to accommodate the gloves

- has spying and watchful nature

- height complex

King Dedede:

- somewhere in the middle of greedy/selfish and kind/caring

- loves eating meat and junk food

- always has his hammer on him, feels less safe without it (kept in his robe)

- has a fear of stinging insects (like bees/wasps)

- Loves to challenge others in feats to try and prove his greatness

- loves giving/receiving hugs

Bandana Waddle Dee (Bandee/Waddle Dee):

- loves eating apples/drinking apple juice

- will lose self worth if without his bandana

- struggles fitting in with other Waddle Dees

- experienced in weilding spears and parasols (Dedede holds onto his weapons when he's not using them and they're together)

- has trouble refusing requests asked of him by others

- looks up to King Dedede, mentored by Meta Knight, and is best friends with Kirby

- personality is anxious, selfless, and loyal

Galacta Knight (Gala):

- has one pair of wings always exposed (wings shed lots of feathers)

- sweet tooth like Meta Knight, but doesn't try to hide it like Meta

- normally also has white eyes and darker pink blushes (also has contacts and concealer)

- is prone to getting rage (patience is thin)

- has claustrophobia

- very outgoing compared to Meta (was actually a very kind knight in hero days, and that still shows from time to time)

- stores equipment with magic

- has a large appetite compared to the other knights

(Aeon Hero Light):

- can spontaneously transform with lots of positive emotions

- flies more often

- becomes more playful and affectionate (great at working together and teamwork)

- can use advanced light magic to heal once

(Aeon Hero Dark):

- can spontaneously transform with lots of negative emotions

- flies more often

- becomes solitary and wants to handle things on his own

- can use advanced dark magic to seal something with heart spears

*(For both forms respectively Galacta Knight can absorb the emotions of those around him even if he himself isn't feeling them, and can also store the energy for later)

Dark Meta Knight (DMK):

- wings like Meta's except torn

- will try to steal others candy

- eyes are same situation with Meta (no scar on the eye)

- hates bright lights

- likes to mimic Meta Knight (like how he does in Amazing Mirror)

- mostly angry at times, gets into fights a lot

- despite his scary and now ruined reputation, actually wasn't evil before the mirror world was corrupt, so he's kinda tsundere, but is actually thankful for Kirby and the others help in saving him

- but the corruption isn't completely gone, and will flare up on circumstance or he gets angry enough, and his eyes will turn red and will lose control of himself

- loves to play pranks and laugh

Morpho Knight (Morpho):

- butterfly wings (can't fold)

- rarely ever eats solid food (loves drinking juice and liquids)

- favorite thing to eat is honey

- white eyes

- loves to fly

- loves following people

- very stoic

- can turn into a butterfly

- has a mouth, is just able to keep it hidden similar to Waddle Dees

- is actually pretty lonely

First art post of the year!

I love the headcanon of Meta Knight being Nightmare’s son and the headcanon of him being transmasc, so I wanted to try and draw something for both of those headcanons.

Also, this is just my excuse to try and draw my only two humanized designs again.
