Hey guys! I did something! It’s a portal from Danny Phantom (personal interpretation), and the resolution came out shitty in the photo but oh well. This was an experiment for me, both in terms of style and in medium. I usually do either watercolor or pencil, and tend towards a less cartoonish style, but I got some new acrylics as a present and thought that I’d try them out! I’ve never really used acrylics before, so it was fun (can you tell that I kept forgetting that I can’t re-wet the paint to blend it more like with watercolors?). I also tried to have some fun with texture. Anyway just thought I’d share :)

you smile as you put your phone down on the table. waiting for your bf to come home after a long day of work, you cannot help but feel the excitement bubbling inside of you now that he texted he was on his way. you finished work a couple hours ago as you were lucky enough to be sent home a bit earlier than usual. freshly showered and cozy in your (read; your boyfriends hihi) hoodie, all you needed was your bf to just finish off the day well.

as you were busy in the kitchen, making an easy and quick 10 minutes pasta dish for your bf, you did not hear the door open and close again as sion made his way home as fast as he possibly could. after a whole day of practice, meetings and a bunch of content shooting schedules, there was nothing that he wanted more than just coming home to you. softly laughing at the way you were so cutely lost in your own little world, he made his presence known to you as you snapped out of your own thoughts and smiled at your bf who was standing a few feet away from you. "hiiii omg i didn't even hear you come in" you said as your smile only grew bigger as your bf came closer. standing behind you, his arms find their way around your waist, while his head rests in the crook of your neck. "hi baby, i missed you" he says as he gives small pecks on the exposed skin on your neck. "smells so gooood" his arms tighten around your body as he, almost impossibly, holds you closer to him. "the food? or the perfume on my clothes that was gifted to the owner of this hoodie by his amazing gf??" you said as you felt your bf giggling in your neck; "mmmh both but you definitely smell better" he says as he places one last kiss before he spins you around to face him.

"nooo wait i am not finished yet!!!!" you said as you were about to turn around again. "the food can wait, it won't set on fire if you let it be for one more minute" he grabs your hand as he placed the cooking spoon on the counter, intertwining your hand with his as his other hand finds its place on your jaw. he cannot hold back his (famous) laugh as you whined about the food again. "i haven't seen my pretty girl all day and the only thing she cares about is the pasta" sion laughs as he takes your other hand too, bringing both arms up to put them around him neck. crossing your arms behind his neck, sions hands find their place on both sides of your body as he softly squeezes your skin. "the pasta is made with looove tho" you said as you emphasized the word 'love' with a funny little voice. "mmh is that so??" your bf asks as he steps forward to close the little teeny tiny space between you. "mhmh," you said ; "oh! and my favorite chili seasoning!! literally lifts up the whole thing to an absolute masterpiece!!" sion laughs (known for being a literal ijbol king there isn't much that would not make him at least let out a little giggle but) your humor and ways to break through the most tense settings, is definitely something that makes him fall in love with you more and more. "ahhhh i missed you y/n, today felt like an eternity" your bf sighs as his face disappears in the comfortable space in the crook of your neck. as if it was made for him. "i missed you too baby" you wrapped your arms a bit tighter around his neck as you can feel sion starting to slowly kiss his way up your neck.

his kisses soon turn into open mouthed kisses as he softly sucks on the soft skin, right above the collar of your hoodie. you stretch your head out a bit more to give him more access to your neck, one of your hands finding your way to his hair as you softly brush through his hair. "mmh i really missed you baby. i couldn't wait to be home" sion hummed into your skin. focusing his attention to the sensitive part of your neck, you couldn't help the little moan that came out of your mouth as the feeling of his lips working its way on your skin was so strong yet so soft. sion, smirking into your skin, puts a bit more pressure as his kisses turn a bit more slobby, definitely leaving marks for you to find tomorrow morning. grabbing a fist full of his hair, you slighty tug his hair, wanting to feel your lips on his, he pulls back to look at you before closing the gap between you and locking your lips with his own.

as your lips almost naturally move as one, you feel sions hands move up and down your sides before resting on your ass. pulling you slightly up and with that, deeper into the kiss, both his hands squeeze your ass. you gasp into his mouth and sion quickly brushes his tongue over your lips before he enters your mouth to find your own tongue with his. lips locked and fighting for dominance, the kiss gets more intense with every passing second. sion doesn't slow down for even a slight moment as his hands find their way under your clothes. desperately in need to feel you even closer than you already are, he lifts you up and places you on the kitchen counter. positioning himself in between your legs, you are quick to cross your legs behind his back to lock him in and close to your body.

now having your bodies almost vertically pressed against each other you pull back slightly to catch your breath. sion not wasting any second thought on leaning down to kiss your neck again, groans softly as you push his face deeper into your skin. wanting to feel more of him. you can't help the sound leaving your mouth as your boyfriends tongue circles around your skin in a firm way. "i didn't know you missed me that much" you playfully said as you pulled his head back up to see his face on eye level again. "...i.." - "... missed you.." - "... much and much.." - "... more than this.." he said in between kisses. sion leans his forehead against yours as he takes a second to look you in your eyes, he smiles; "i don't think i tell you enough how much i love you y/n" your hands caress his cheeks before you gently hold his head in your hands, by his jaw; "i love you too sion" you can't help but smile as your bf mirrors the same look on his face.

taking his own bottom lip between his teeth, he eyes dart from your eyes to your lips before he, once again, closes the distance between your lips. soft, gentle kisses as if he wants to tell you how much he actually loves you through his kiss. passionately moving your lips as one, the feeling in your stomach gets stronger and more intense. it's as if you can feel the butterflies in your stomach but at the same time you cannot suppress the needy - yearning feeling for more. taking it into your own 'hands' you are the one swiping your tongue over sions lips, silently asking for entrance which he gladly gives you. letting you be the driving force for once, he moves his lips to the pace you lead him. with your hands in his hair, your body so close to his and your tongue moving with his own, he cannot help the burning sensation in his body as he can feel his heart beating harder and harder through his chest. his hands finding their way to your ass he pushes your lower body impossibly closer to his own. moaning into the kiss as he feels your hips rolling onto his lower body. sion, who needs a few seconds to get what was happening. whined as he realized you were working him up on purpose. "nooo.. baby that's so unfair.. cmon" he grabbed your arm as he turned you around on your spot; "you can't do this please baby don't leave me hanging!!!" he 'offensively' chuckled as he tried to get your attention back to him. "what about my pasta!!! we should eat, you must be so hungry after a whole day of work!!!" sion, his work day already long forgotten, bit his lip to suppress one of his famous soft laughs as he came to face the reality that you were not planning on finishing the problem in his pants, a problem you caused. "your pasta?? baby what about me" he chuckled as he grabbed your hands to turn your full attention towards him. "what about you baby?" you said as you over exaggeratedly fluttered your eye lashes at your bf, shooting him an innocent yet mischievous look. "you will be the death of me y/n" sion says as he looks down at you, the only girl that could ever put his usual leading - authoritatively self into place like this. you laugh softly, "food will be ready soon, you really need to try my new chili seasoning!!!!" you said as you turned around to stir the pot.

sion throws his head back in slight disbelief as he laughs. stepping forward to give you a back hug, he rubs his still clothed erection against your ass as he feels you pushing your hips back slightly. while smirking, which your bf can't see, you keep stirring the food in the pan. "ok baby, i see how this is, you win now, but i am not done with you yet" sion gives a quick peck on your neck as he whispers in your ear; "two can play this game baby" he let's go of you as he makes his way to the bathroom across the hall. fixing the little problem you left him with. you, smiling to yourself, start plating up the food for you and your bf. yes, your bf might be the one manhandling things his way 9/10 times, but knowing you have this effect on him, lowkey makes your self esteem go through the roof. as you put your plates down on the table, you call out for your bf; "babbyyyyy pasta is ready!!!!!" you silently giggle to yourself as you hear your boyfriends low, muffled moans coming from the bathroom. pressing your thighs together to suppress the lingering feeling in between your own legs, you know you are in for a long night.

So I’m not saying that all of the little fix-it au and post rescue Mouthwashing art and hcs are not sugary cute and fun and all. Your “Curly decked out in sci fi prosthetics” pieces are pretty neat and I’ve been seeing so much of it in the tag already, but, just once.. just once I wanna see that man after all of this mess after a Krukenberg procedure instead.

Everything else about the ambiguous setting of the game is so in contrast with the advanced capabilities that we expect a space faring level society to have. Other than the ship itself and the cryopods, which themselves are reminiscent more of dated 80s sci-fi tropes themselves, you look around and it’s all presumably not actually more caught up than 20th century. Daisuke’s old school Gameboy style device. The exaggerations of a comically worse working culture and labor standards. The music players. The gun. The Cold War era capitalist propaganda film. Most of all to me is Dragonbreath Mouthwash and the advertising about its better taste being somewhat of a new thing.

Old school, really old school mouthwash products actually did use to contain sugar additives and other flavor aids. Older school washes before even them predictably tasted horrible since they were more concerned with bare function as an antiseptic. Obviously we went back to removing the sugar and going with alternative sweeteners in the modern day, but in the past, Dragonbreath’s ingredient list wouldn’t have batted much of an eye.

Tangent aside I just think it would be cool and different and more in line with the surviving-not-thriving vibe of Mouthwashing for the “healed” au where Curly gets all of that care we agree he needs but lands himself cosmically horrifically in debt for it. A Curly not with state of the art future cyborg buffs, but with Krukenburg arms and prosthetics more appropriate to something accessible decades ago, and still having to work to survive. Still carrying all of it in his mind and on his shoulders. Maybe. Somehow.

GUYS I DID IT. The fake ROTTMNT Usagi crossover has been completed!! Guys this took me FOREVER. FOR. EVER. And I also hated every single second of it I have no idea how the animators did this shit.

Anyways, here’s the full fake screenshot but I got lazy and didn’t add anything else. I wanted to design him more based on the 2003 TMNT series Miyamoto Usagi crossover just because I feel like those vibes fit best. Also I love 2003 Usagi and am so completely biased bc that show SLAPPED. BUT ANYWAYS. I have a lot of lore for him and then my own little design with my headcanons, but that’s for another day. I wanted to draw him a bit more modern looking for Rise, and the turtles age (like 2003), but didn’t want to take away too much from his design. Maybe I’ll draw him in another fit. Either way, for my first attempt, I don’t think it was half bad! Replicating the ROTTMNT art style was super difficult. It’s a lot different from how I typically like to draw, and it was a challenge trying to do it. I had fun despite wanting to pull my hair out and cry and rethink my hobbies several times during this drawing. (I just called it quits here because I could have kept redrawing and messing with it for another twenty years.)

Of course, tribute to 2003, they meet Usagi in the battle nexus because I SAID SO. I also saw that thing about the other hidden cities around the ROTTMNT world and thought the concept of a hidden city in Japan, probably called like Hidden Edo or some shit, could work as an in-universe explanation. The other dimension thing is also cool though, since I love the Usagi Yojimbo universe.

Anyways, I am working on some more fake screenshots, and maybe I’ll properly introduce more of my ROTTMNT Usagi if you guys like this!

How long does the process take you to get one (or more) comic page done? I love the idea of making comics but i suck at structure, you know with the script and posting/layout. I was wondering if you had any tips or what you wish you knew before you started.?

OOOooooo a fun question for me!! I love talking about comic creation :D

I do my best to keep the full process under 2 days (or 12-14 hours of work) per fully coloured page. I'm trying to get faster, but speed comes with time and experience.

Hmmm as for tips and things I wish I knew... so many things... I should let it be known that I am an artist and not really a writer, but your questions are focused on script/planning/structure, so I'm going to focus the advice on that.

Start with something small - Learn about making comics and find a comfortable style through making a couple smaller comics and then try your passion project. Writing and planning smaller comics with fewer pages takes a different kind of puzzle solving and thought process. Smaller page limits can force you to try new things which you can then apply to larger projects to save time; limitations breed creativity after all. Every attempt made (even an unfinished project) is knowledge gained that you can apply again for future projects.

Study comics! - It's hard to create if you aren't feeding the mind and giving it things to learn and create from. Read comics made by professionals and study how they handle pacing. How many pages are they dedicating to each moment? What do you think of their pacing and what would you change? Take a sketchbook and make small rectangles and draw out the panel layout from that comic. What are they doing that works and what don't you like about it? How would you do that differently? ... I think this is me assigning homework... i am so sorry.

Set a hard page limit - Try to get your story told within that limit, and then add more pages if necessary. More pages = more time you have to spend working on it. Most standard single issue American comics are roughly 24 pages. I try to work inside that limit using a rough 5 page per scene structure.

Condense or Cut - I struggle so hard with this one, but comics aren't written in the same way as a novel is. They have a slightly different plot structure and a much more limited amount of pages to tell the story in. Obviously it depends on the story being told, and what kind of scenes are important to that genre of story, but in general, unnecessary scenes should be cut out. examples...

CUT! Having the characters go out to get ice cream is cute, but you don't need to show them each ordering their ice cream unless the flavour they choose is an important plot point. Skip to the last one receiving their ice cream and turning to the others who already have theirs and are having that deep discussion. OR skip that scene entirely and have a quiet panel of them sitting in the park at sunset, already holding their ice cream, before delving into the deep emotional conversation they will be having.

CONDENSE! You can combine two scenes if you need to. If you have one scene where two characters are having a casual conversation and another where they are sneaking into a building? Stick them together. They can sneak AND talk and now you've only used up 5 pages instead of 10.

Comics take a LONG TIME to make!! - you have to make peace with that _(:Ⅰ」∠)_ Comics, especially full colour ones, are an extremely labour intensive and time consuming way of telling a story. If one page takes 1 day (8 hrs of work) and you have 24 pages, that is 24 days of working on one comic.

Thumbnails! - Draw the pages small and rough first! It's easier to plan things and mess around with the layouts when you don't have an emotional attachment to how the art inside looks. Once you have a layout you like, you can then draw it again in full page size and work on it from there.

Page and panel layouts are my favourite part of the whole process, I could talk forever about it, but I do not have the energy for it right now. I'll save panel/page layout for another time.

It doesn't have to be perfect!!! - IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT!!!! (shouted with excitement btw). Panels can be boring! A page can be extremely simple! The art can be messy! The dialog can be simple! The plot can go nowhere! In fact it is really really fun to make a messy imperfect comic on purpose. Destroy the perfectionist in you, because they will always and forever hold you back from actually creating things. "what if it's bad?" what if it's fun? what if you learn cool things?

Anyway, those are my tips/advice, idk if I actually answered what you were asking... sorry about all the time commitment ones, that is something I really wish I had figured out a few years ago lol.

Comics are fun to make and a lot of learning how to make them is just jumping in, encountering a problem, and then learning how to solve it.

Ur art is such an inspiration and motivation for me, as a fellow artist. I’ve been following ur stuff for a bit now and I was wondering how you decided to draw loid, yor, and anya the way you do. I say this bc I really want to start making my own fan arts, but i struggle to take this anime style and have these character read as [insert character] without it being in a “anime style.”

And I guess this applies to any character you want take from a media, and translate it into your style. Bc i don’t necessarily think ur art style is considered “anime” i kinda just see it as an abstraction ig. But even if it is, it isn’t in the style of anime show is yk? Yet the characters read as who they’re supposed to be.

And I think a while back you u mentioned that you were struggling on decided how to draw loid. ig i wanna know How did you come to the decision that “yes, this looks correct and I wanna draw him like this.”

Is it finding defining feature and proportions? Just messing around until you figure something out? And I assume you make a character sheet to keep it consistent?

Like i literally go to art school but cant draw anything without a reference photo and it killing me 😔💀💀

so i think that artists get really caught up with finding/establishing a style when they are first starting out. i say this because i was no different. to me it was like 'oh if i have a style then i am a Real artist instead of just a copier'

but like, i think that order is backwards. like the more that you draw things you enjoy, the more those drawings will become your own and in your 'style' if that makes sense. heavy emphasis on the quantity here. you just gotta go really at it. and the best way to do this is through sheer quantity tbh.

however at the same time, i dont really agree with the whole 'draw x things per day every day' thing cuz sometimes thats just hard man. i mean you mentioned you were in art school so you're probably drawing every day anyways, but for a hobbyist or fanartist (me lol) its mostly based on whether u feel like drawing or not. Which is why its rlly cool when you have a show/book/movie/anything you're really into which makes you want to draw more! it becomes something fun rather than a chore.

so basically, dont view a style as something you have to develop right away, or turn drawing into a chore, because that will be very counteractive trust me.

another important thing i wanted to mention, you said "reference photo trap" but ITS NOT A TRAP! USE REFERENCES!!! REFERENCES ARE IMPORTANT AND GOOD (i am assuming you already know this, but using references is not the same as tracing. just to make it clear)

this is another thing common with newer artists (and of course how i used to be), where you feel like you have to draw 'from your mind' for it to be an indicator of any skill. NOT TRUE!! you need to use references to get better!

lastly, to answer your question (as best i can lol) there was never any point when i decided 'yes this is it' when drawing. you just draw and draw and keep changing and growing. it is a little of everything you said (defining features, proportions, messing around) but it is also just drawing a lot and having fun! :D oh and i definitely do not have a character sheet. i am not anywhere near that organized LMAO

I'm currently studying to become a teacher and sitting in one of my lectures I wondered what kind of teachers the SKZ members would be and what subject(s) they would teach.

Bang Chan 🐺

he is super calm and understanding, his patience level cannot be reached

tries to be best friends with his students always trying to make them comfortable

He would hate to be the bad guy, would rather have a chill time but can be stern if need be

would always find a way to help a struggling student

is loved by all teachers and parents a like

If you meet him in public he is open to chat but wants to separate his private and work life

He dresses casual and of course in all black, but still looks handsome and approachable

Subjekts he would teach: Music (obviously) and physical education

He knows that these subjects are not for everyone but he would encourage his students and would give good grades for trying your best

He is that one weird teacher but in a good way

Would claim that he hates his students or that they annoy him, but deep down he loves and adores them

Has inside jokes with his students

In contrast to Bang Chan he is the one who would avoid his students in public, this man would literally vanish

Is okay with parents but parent teacher conferences still stress him out

His fashion style would be more towards business or silly/ cat sweathers

His subject would be: geograhpy, he is introverted and acts, like a cat so I feel this subject fits him very well

He is an amazing choreographer and performer so he needs/is good with structure so this subject fits him well

Would have pictures of his cats on his desk, can easily be distracted if asked about them

He once spend an entire lesson talking about his cats

He is always so loud and has to much energy, which is good when its the end of the school day but if your are not a morning person then pray that you don't have him as your teacher in the first lessons

Is also very good with the parents, especially with the moms

Is loved by everyone in the teachers room, even the school secretary loves him

Also dresses either casual because of him being a p.e. teacher or dressing up trying to impress the cute art teacher

Another physical education teacher who supports his students and wants his students to have fun during his classes and maybe take some ideas or inspiration home with them

His other subject is math, but he is not a scary maths teacher, he often tries to help everyone understand the topic and is willing to explain it more that once

Not a teacher but a social worker

Pure ray of sunshine, the students love him and often come to him to consult with him if they have trouble in school

Parents will cry tears of joy after talking to him and getting help and guidelines on how to parent their children

Organises special school bonding events for the students, like charity events or fund raisers, sports festival .... you name it

Students will always volunteer to help him

But not only students can come to him to talk, some teachers seek him out as well for comfort or to have a nice little chat

He makes sure that Chan goes home on time, drinks enough water and stops stressing about everything

Similar to Minho, acts all tough and like he does not give a shit about his students but he will fight for them and protect them at all cost

His subjects would be something science related, he is just smart like that

Tries to make his lessons as fun as possible to make sure that pupils understand the topic

Leader of the debate club, he loves to see his students destroy opponents in discussions, often offers some snarky or sarcastic comments himself

Has a soft spot for one of the art teachers but will never admit it out loud or will fight you if you mention it

The youngest amongst the teachers and not even a full on teacher yet

Currently still a student teacher, but already in love with the job and the students

Another Art teacher, but more modern art and design focused

Loves to share an office with Hyunjin, but would love his personal space back even more

Often comes to consult with Chan, sometimes doubting himself after being critised
