some tbhx speculation post ep 10
/throwing stuff at the wall after post ep 10. spoilers obviously. also for ep 11 preview. about Trust and where our heroes get it, villains, X.
point 1:
we have to talk about lucky cyan's trust value. the people on the plane gave her trust to survive/ her luck powers. so the elephant in the room:
CAN DEAD PEOPLE STILL GIVE YOU TRUST?
it's really unclear. the main point in favor of this is that Cyan still has luck at the orphanage, and says her TV has always been high as long as she can remember which wouldn't be possible if trust vanishes when your believers die.
"but Cyan loses all her trust in episode 9!" well. actually it looks like a zero at first glance but it could actually be a really fucked up number nine. when put next to other "zeroes" in the show's sadistic special font it looks notably different. like a Nice's tower floor situation from episode one where that was somehow a 15.
The main thing AGAINST this: there were definitely more than nine people on that plane! maybe Lucky Cyan's trust vanished as the plane crash victims died, but by then they were already on the ground? but that seems jank.
anyways, what I really wanted to say: If dead people's Trust stays after they die, then...
wouldn't the best way to guarantee your power be to gain a ton of trust and then kill all of your followers?
this could be the reason for the plane crash; maybe a hero had a lot of followers on this plane and wanted to keep that trust forever.
this could be Zero's motivation. this is what I immediately thought of.
what the fuck this could even be X's motivation. idk we don't know anything about him. maybe he killed nice for this idk
point 2:
if Fear has only been discovered in year 36, that means that either the powers of villains like Magic Shadow or whoever the hell rat king is (esoul eps) come from Trust, or have unknown sources of fear that nobody discovered was fear.
The only consistent characteristics we've seen of fear is that it is black and makes you act weird and irrational.
so, L0's old boss: black goop, confirmed fear. the orphanage: zombies, black growths, confirmed fear.
Wreck...black sword slivers/beams? maybe fear? who knows? maybe only fear after he learns about Nice's death. in fact, it could be Lin Ling's fear that triggers it! the power of a nemesis might at least initially be from trust, funnily enough.
a little ghostblade what if - we've heard mentions of the "Aether laboratory" along with the idea of Fear. Ghostblade seems to have been experimented on. What if Ghostblade is an attempt to make a Hero that is immune to Fear?
point 3:
circling back to OG Nice's death: it's becoming apparent a question we need to ask is where does trust go after death and what happens to it?
Lin Ling "inherited" trust value from Nice. two ways I think of it: 1. scooped Nice's trust off his corpse, like e-soul. how does that work. 2. redirected all of nice's fans at himself, quickly replacing Nice.
E-soul's Trust merged due to there being two e-souls and one died. please note that this merge happened naturally without the consent of fans.
so where does lucky cyan's trust come from, again.
maybe the series will explore different ways of gaining trust for each hero? a bit crack but maybe even in layers of absurdity. like X is the most jank way so he's the finale (btw thank you @elowhinn for pointing out he keeps the tie clip. maybe he just hacked being X by cosplaying as X and having no name lmao), Ahu being the next jankiest way since he's a dog so he gets the second to last ep...
IF nice is alive somehow...what's up with his trust value now? it's not like people stopped believing Nice had powers. there are still Nice fans. they're just also lin ling fans now. bringing up this due to the theory that the hand in kontinuum is nice's hand. and cope.

AAAAAAAAAAAA MY BRAIN IS BRAININGGGG
oki I know I've barely posted anything about my anime AU, but I have ideas all the time everyday,,,,,, just not the skills to make an anime
Okay, so as it stands, the au storyline starts with canon being VERY CLOSE to happening, but didn't, and the bishops hide away among humans yada yada yada blah blah blah
This new idea I have, is that canon did happen! All of it! Except that the lamb didn't do their job right!
Normally, when a god kills another god or forces them to merge with their domain (to maintain the balance of the world or whatever), what they're SUPPOSED to do is take the heart to declare themselves victorious and eat it to gain power. The lamb that killed the gods didn't do that, thinking it'd be better for their corpses to rot away abandoned. A little after all of the bishops are dead, The God of the Dead goes missing
Fast forward about 400 years or so, the Gods corpses still haven't rotted away, looking as fresh as if they died seconds ago.
Of course, because humans became the predominant species of the world, their bodies became tourist attractions for a bit. But then the rooms they died in were shut down and locked for "research purposes" in about the 1960s or so (still need to decide) (oh yeah, this is a modern setting), so now they're now abandoned (just like the first lamb wanted) because the money for the research was embezzled and no workers wanted to poke a dead god. Their temples are still tourist attractions, people from all over come and get tours that explain the history of the temples and the gods that once roamed them
While on a birthday trip around the temple of Chaos, a little 12 year old girl named Valentine sneaks into the room with Leshy's body. It was perfectly safe, as all the ichor from the battle had rotted away and left the body even cleaner than when he first died. She looks around the room for a bit before walking over and poking his cheek Because she's the weird kid that always poked at roadkill and dead birds because she just thought it was neat. "Oh wow his fur is fluffy! Like- like moss!"
Suddenly, his chest starts to move, like there's a heartbeat inside... Before it splits open down the middle. Coughing and hacking up a lung (hah) from the heart of the body, a figure sits up that's... you guessed it! The follower version of Leshy! "Hrk- haah... Little... Little mortal... Who dares-"
Valentine runs away, naturally... Yet a few minutes later, comes back with her sister Penelope. When she gets back, the two of them find Leshy eating his old godly body like an animal eating the skin it just shed.
Something something... They take him home like a stray animal (only after a lot of yelling and coaxing)
They talk, and as they're talking, Leshy turns his attention to something set atop the fireplace, sensing the magic emanating from it...
"... Mortal."
Penelope: "Yeah?"
"... Why the FUCK is the Red Crown within your home???"
"... You- you mean our family heirloom?"
"Do you know how many mortals have died foolishly trying to take one of our crowns to claim godhood?? And- and you just have one??? An heirloom????"
"... Well, before our mom died, she always told stories of how it was entrusted to our family after the God of the Dead went missing... The Thoring name has been taking care of it for about... 400 years now?"
"... I've been dead for 400 years?"
"Yeah"
"... Huh, thought it'd be longer"
I'm still workshopping the rest, but I've been going crazy over this idea since last night

2, 17, 24, & 29 for the blorbo ask game! Any blorbo(s) of your choice :3
Gaaawd, that'll be tough to narrow down 😭But thanks~ I'll try to pick some juicy ones each. Let's see... 👀
2 ) who was your first ever Blorbo, who was your childhood Blorbo, and are they still your Blorbo?
And we're already off to A Start cuz my immediate problem is I don't actually remember whose first orz I ended up coping with a LOT in eating up every scrap of media I could get back then, and it was in brief flickered intervals, so my very first childhood blorbos ended up being a scattershot blur between characters like Dragon Ball Z's Goku, Sailor Moon's Usagi/Serena (and by extension basically all of the senshi as a collective unit with her), Pokemon's Ash Ketchum, Digimon's Ken, Dot Hack's Balmung and Tsukasa, and especially Legend of Zelda's Link.
Are they still my blorbos? Yeah! Kinda! But they admittedly also rotated in and out of prominence with different intervals, especially as I got older and had a way bigger focus on other things that ended up taking over my adulthood instead. They're not all gone, but out of that list, there's definitely been a huge shift on some more than others.
Ash and Ken took a bit of a backseat in favor of being much more involved in the worldbuilding of Pokemon and Digimon (among other mon series) as a whole, especially when I grew out of being in their age range from when I first grew up with them. Ken grew older now in-universe as Digimon Adventures walked back Adventure 1 and 2 more, and meanwhile Ash became less focused on especially after hanging his hat up for good in favor of Liko. Not that I want to say she necessarily killed my interest, cuz to be fair, I hadn't been able to keep up with the animeverse in forever even well before, and now Nintendo's all but made it even more hellish trying nowadays.
I do still adore Dot Hack in general from time to time, but it's a bit of an old game/anime, it isn't helped that Tsukasa and Balmung have VERY polarizing representation on only one or the other (both DO appear in both, but Tsukasa is in a weird kind-of-guest-unit-except-that's-not-really-him situation in the games, while (until that later anime in dot hack Dusk) Balmung was a very seldomly-mentioned and seldomly-seen character in the anime in comparison to you seeing him in the games), and since my involvement with the series is very casual and scattered, I don't get involved in the fandom deep enough to really bring either of them up much. That being said, both do end up living on in the form of dot hack and Phantasy Star often merging together as a big aesthetic theme inspo in a lot of stuff I tend to work on.

Including Balmung's more fucked up corrupted doppelganger Azure Balmung, who was a huge design inspo for both Ephrel and Tangie's connections to one another (and by extension, Mirage Grima).
Which leaves Usagi and Link as special cases, between Usagi (and the senshi and her connections as a whole) being basically the embodiment of my previous love for her expanding to old age Magical Girl Genre as a whole (like Ash and Ken evolving the same way to Mon Raising genre), meanwhile Link being in a weird grey area by virtue of how Link works across his multiple incarnations.
I will admit I liked him originally for his adult Ocarina of Time alt, especially said alt's prominence in things like Soul Calibur II, Smash Bros, Twilight Princess, etc, but the more he kind of shadows my life like Sonic and the like end up doing, the more I got a better appreciation of the different Links as a whole for different reasons, and not just the one or two specific Links on a superficial level like originally, and then better appreciating the zeldaverse even outside of just what starts and ends at Link.
17 ) do you like seeing your Blorbo suffer?
Short answer: Yes. Sort of. 🤭
This admittedly also applies to my OCs, and not to any one specific character in either blorb or OC camp, but I do like the catharsis factor of subjecting characters to rough times and hardships, knowing eventually in the end they'll get something for their trouble.
It might change them into something they can't go back to, it might cause them to suffer quite a chunk of losses and nightmares and trauma before getting to the point it all turns around, and once they DO get the reward they fought for, maybe there'll be adjustment periods they need to go through even then after what happened on either sides, but it's that journey of getting there that brings out the most about characters that I enjoy a lot.
It also serves as a good venting point after suffering so many of my own hardships personally, and don't exactly always come out the other end with anything gained for the trouble. So with this, at least I have that bit I can guarantee for them that I couldn't guarantee for myself. They come out so fundamentally different from where canon left them off, especially if I mess with them for AU projects or fics or the like. They become something unique, shaped by all their scrapes and bruises and dents along the way…
Probably also not a coincidence that a lot of my blorbos ended up with a LOT of baggage to unpack, and some are less able to hide that fact than others (comparing for instance Usagi against Lif).
24 ) if you could change one canonical thing about your Blorbo, what would it be?
I feel bad this section is gonna feel so rambly and vent-y cuz my gawd I got a lot of pent up frustrations, some of which might not always be fair, buuuuut…. 😭
The short answer is there's so, SO many blorbos who boil down to 'I love the aspects I can yank out of them in playing with them like dolls, but by Talos it's painfully obvious when their creators hate the shit out of them and I wish that aspect wasn't true about them SO MUCH'.
Camilla? Fierce as fuck and hits like a truck, caring but guarded to the point of 'She needs like 10 therapists' levels of violently unhinged, due to her trauma and upbringing, and while I actually DO like her fanservicey aspects, I wish that they could play up the aspect she's very clearly doing a lot of it as a ploy to either redirect attention away from others (but especially her siblings) to target her instead and/or to let her foes' guards down, and when she's NOT in hardass mercenary mode (like a lot of her endings and supports, or why her emblem variant is so calmer and gentler by comparison) she very clearly is making herself proverbially covered in knives and thorns as a defense mechanism and would much rather opt for simpler and calmer times and a happier life than the hellhole she and her family were put through growing up.
But because her creators quite literally designed her with hucao in mind, to the point I'm reminded time and again by people I've got so annoyed and upset by on the constant I've outright cut them off over this, reminding me how the devs absolutely saw her as little else but a cow girl, wanting to go as far as make the fabric of her clothes cow print before they were told off to tone that shit down, a lot of her more sharper-edged aspects gets far and well overshadowed by even the devs in favor of 'big sis mommy milkers' and my love for her often becomes tested by her being a really low-hanging fruit in terms of an immediate block-on-sight subject to put it nicely (I've blocked. SO MANY PEOPLE. Who were way, WAY too comfortable either slutshaming her, or slutshaming people with her kind of body and style, the same people who gratingly love to make it their life mission to remind you she's 'just tits and ass and nothing else' and then do shit-all insight on why people like her so much BESIDES that.)

Cronos? In the rare instance dev talk can be dug up about Bloody Roar in the first place (it's just that obscure, but there's a section of the fanbase whose been really, REALLY dedicated trying to fix that and archive a surprising bit about the series as a whole, in their defense…), the devs made it all but clear he was meant to be a joke. Like Streetfighter Dan levels of a joke.
Bloody Roar once ran a poll on which animal the fans would like to see as a potential new beast form for a new character later down the series, and among the winners, some form of bird won second place (the exact wording was birds in a sense of like hawks or eagles, which we also doubly got in Reiji the game after Cronos), a penguin specifically won fourth place, and beasts based on the four directional gods all collectively one third (which while DOES reflect back on Cronos in Suzaku, it was much more on-the-nose realized in the manga, The Fang, ala the four shijin). He was originally meant to be just a penguin and just a butt of jokes for said penguin form, before he was fleshed out more, the devs realized there was more to him, and that's what made him evolve into the lethal joke two-beast zoanthrope of having both a penguin and deadlier phoenix form to utilize in battle.
While the devs did seem to have a bit more respect to actually flesh Cronos out more by comparison, and to a point he even broke containment with Ganesha and Yugo in appearing in Fang's mangaverse otherwise, he only appeared for that one game in Primal Fury due to not just incompatability with how 4 utterly changed how beast mode works, but claims he 'wasn't dark enough' to fit the atmosphere. And seeing as the devs had tried to paint Primal Fury from a place of a spin-off, rather than a mainline game, his canonity is left dubious, and he and Ganesha hadn't returned since their debuting game (which… sadly is not unique to the series. Besides Fang, none of the mangaverse characters broke containment to the games, nor are they alluded to in Primal Fury proper, the only game Fang ALSO broke into. Furthermore there were a lot of characters in BR1 who also only appeared once and never again likewise.)
Which is a shame cuz there WERE a lot of darker aspects, which became especially frustrating given how much fandom (especially fandom at the time. I will say fandom nowadays is a whoooole different landscape compared to the fandom bullshit I grew up in so they're not one in the same anymore, and my beef is largely the fandom of my childhood than presently) especially loved to shit on Cronos for really tasteless and dated reasons back then (that evaporated nowadays) and a lot of people regularly write him off as a nothing-burger when he has a surprising amount of depth to him (when Hudson isn't fucking that up via botched translation issues on top…)
He was heavily implied to be a subject of his own father's experiments, and while not exactly confirmed outright or given explicitly (not covered in the manga, the ending barely even hints of it, and what little info there is of him is subjected to translation snarrls and broken down untranslated sites that both the fanbase and the wayback machine had to pick up the pieces of), there's potential correlation between how his father treats him (one thing that WAS explicitly confirmed is that he's lined up with several body censors and tracking devices on his person/clothes), the experimentation possibly having very prominent and adverse side effects on his body (and why the split in beast forms or why his phoenix form looks so visibly fucked up), and possible trauma given how he can't even consistently control his phoenix form (which is confirmed multiple times to go on very violent and fiery rampages if he loses control of it, and in fights you end a battle as a phoenix, he visibly struggles to de-transform out from it), and has a nervous breakdown in one of the endings (not that we get a lot of context to work with in any of the endings in general…).
I can go on and on about a lot of blorbs, but I think Camilla and Cronos in particular always stood out to me as wishing they had more love put into them than they got, albeit Camilla did get more vindication in her later FEH alts and Engage Emblem alt, while Cronos's issue is more of just the mess Bloody Roar in general was than necessarily problems unique to just him as a whole.
Then again, it also gave a lot of ample ammo to play with those aspects of both of them in AUs and stuff. Explore them beyond what just canon gave us and all.
29) has a fanfic about your Blorbo ever made you cry?
TONS. And granted between burnout and 'I forgor'-itis being a chronic thing for me, I have a lot of difficulties naming them all since many are either general sources (for instance? A huge part of what drew me to Chrom and Robin were the many, MANY angsty comic interpretations either tackling the ending, Risen-Chrom and/or Grima-Robin, or something along the lines, but there's too many of those across years worth of memory to know where they all are at this point), or they were ages ago and several computers back since I last saw them and I'm not even sure if they're still there or not or how to re-find them.
There IS one example that sticks out a lot in the back of my thoughts however. Two of them for Link.
youtube
First? The Rehydrated Ganondorf AUs. The AUs that, to sum it up, take place post-BotW but before we got TotK in its current state, that reimagined Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf actually getting along together in the former two restoring the latter to a fully-realized spirit state not unlike the champions, a much clearer divide between Ganondorf versus Malice (what would later turn him into Ganon), and the three actually getting along in the one rare instance the three reincarnate and do so after countless of lifetimes two of them are forced to gang up on the evil-and-beyond-saving third.
youtube
So cue a rather knife-twist end in a You Can't Fight Fate way where, despite everything and their wishes, they ARE still destined as the Triforce Three where Ganondorf WILL fall to corruption and turn evil, and Link and Zelda are forced into a position to slay him, even if this one time it's out of mercy over malice instead. Even if they wind up the same tired and true tale of a Link teaming up with a Zelda to slay a Ganon/dorf, just this once, there's a bittersweet aspect that they tried to fight fate, and damned if they didn't try.
The only thing to upset me more than just the ending to that AU is the eventual release of Tears of the Kingdom, which had SO MUCH OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPLORE SOMETHING LIKE THIS, and then didn't do it in favor of "Ganondorf is an evil asshole whose evil and he's out murdering people and kicking puppies cuz he's evil. And in the end Link kills him cuz he's evil and of fucking course he does." with the added salt this time he's voiced like Ryoma while doing it now (another blorbo).
And continuing the trend with the second example? The entirety of Growing Up Gerudo, which explores much of the same general idea of a Ganondorf who was able to firmly separate himself from Malice (so didn't become Ganon), but from a place of Ocarina of Time / Majora's Mask instead, and this time in an AU that asks what would happen if Link, rather than grew up among the kokiri to be primed as Ganondorf's eternal enemy, was instead growing up among the gerudo as Ganondorf's (and Nabooru's) son instead. And while it does take a lot of liberties even beyond just that premise (Zelda's dad is an utter shitnugget, and more than canon-typical, for starters), it doesn't exactly hold back on a lot of almost-slips and terrifying what-could've-beens of Ganondorf nearly losing himself time and again to his predestined fate and Link nearly paying for it in kind.

Lost World Posting Time
So, now that the new Attack Dice SRD is out it's time to actually talk about the game that the SRD was MADE FOR! And that game is Lost World.
Lost World is a not quite sci-fi not quite fantasy game I'm working on because the Warhammer RPGs and universe vex and fascinate me equally. After running some Dark Heresy 2e I kind of decided that the system wasn't for me, but really wanted to run a game set on a world in between Feral and Feudal. For those not in the know, Feral worlds are worlds settled by humanity that have regressed to about the Bronze Age at best and the Stone Age most commonly.
They occasionally have remnants of the advance tech that brought them to the planet, such as high tech mono-weapons, power weapons in warhammer, guns of both the powder and laz variety. Some even export things to the space empire that rules them, even if that's just bodies.
So they have tech but don't know how it works at all, so its basically magic to them. And that's kind of both funny and cool in setting. Grog the hunter has a magic sword that never dulls and that's just a regular officer sword to some captain in the army 2000 years ago. So Grog is sick shit in his tribe as a hunter but some flak armored soldier from a planet that only exists to grow corn can take a normal gun and shoot this skilled hunter and be declared a witch. And that sounds like a setting ripe for adventure and stories.
That said I don't want to touch Warhammer again. Just prefer other systems, and I don't want to put in the work to modify the system I had in mind for the game. For licensing reasons, and because I had another idea to make Lost World its own game. So instead of that I sat down, thought about what I wanted to do the game on, and started merging GrimBlade which I hack a lot and some aspects of Attack Dice 1e to wind up with Attack Dice 2e.
So now I'm writing Lost World a game about being the technologically regressed descendants of a once advanced space empire who live among the ruins of your ancestors glory and fight a hostile planet! Politics, Exploration, Big Monsters, "Magic", "Enchanted" Weapons! This game will have those things!
Why tell you this? Especially when we at Stranded Publishing almost exclusively stealth release our shit? Because I'm writing something funny and I want to share! So I'm getting the word out rather than talking about a release once and then going silent!
Welcome to Lost World, a Sci-Fi rpg masquerading as a Fantasy one.

0111: Defenders #11
Cover Date: December 1973 On-Sale Date: September 18, 1973
And we're back! Once we get past the title pun on the melodramatic phrase that's been tossed around since the 1830s, we begin our epilogue to the Avengers/Defenders war. All these shenanigans began with Doc's attempt to un-petrify the Black Knight. All the battles with the Avengers were just a nuisance in the way of their goal. So what happens next?
The Avengers and the Defenders are dealing with the aftermath of Dormammu's attempt to merge his dimension with Earth's. This involves lots of "it's bad but could have been worth and if Wanda hadn't done what she did we'd all be monsters." Nick Fury realizes that he hasn't heard of the Defenders and is about to suggest he investigate them. Doc is having none of that and performs his patented non-consensual mind wipe on Nick.
Doc then tells the combined groups that he doesn't want the Defenders existence to be common knowledge and proposes to do the same to everyone in creation except those gathered. The group agrees and Doc uses the Eye as a giant reset button, setting the universe right.
After an awkward apology to his fellow teammates about not consulting them about the universal mindwipe, which the Silver Surfer consoles him on, he gets to the original purpose. Using the eye he's gonna send his ghost to visit the Black Knight in whatever limbo he's floating in. Doc heads out, but the Knight is nowhere to be found.
Back at the Sanctum, Hawkeye berates himself for going from one group to another instead of proving to himself that he can hack it alone. Valkyrie and Namor give their own worthless opinions when Doc reappears alone. Hulk pretty much says "I told you so!"
Something blows up and the group is somewhere else. Hulk thinks they're in the desert with Thunderbolt Ross about to breathe down his giant green neck. Doc points out that they appear to be in the Middle East based on the architecture and Namor realizes that the really clean air means their in the past. The certainly are! They are confronted by a fleeing Black Knight who tells them they're in the time of the Crusades. There were multiple Crusades so Black Knight specifies they are in the 12th century.
We then see who the Knight was running from. Attacking Arabs! (This was a less culturally sensitive time. Both the 12th century and the 1970s.) We'll presume Doc has cast some sort of translation spell because 12th century Arabs didn't speak modern English. Doc proposes to immobilize the attackers, but Hulk decides he wants to hit something and people go flying. When the dust clears, they are confronted by a giant grey gnome named Temax.
Doc and the Surfer attempt to subdue Temax but they are ineffectual. The Hulk attacks but is effortless thrown off. Magically, Temax's skin has turned flesh colored! Doc decides the best course of action is to run away and with a wave of his hand the group disappears to somewhere else. Time for some answers from the Knight!
After composing himself, the Knight explains that he and a Black Knight ancestor of his are cohabitating the ancestors body thanks to some magical shenanigans of Merlin's. Dane explains the political goings on, that include King Richard being a prisoner, and that Merlin cast a spell to bring opposition to Modred who is part of the political mess surrounding them. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be King Arthur's son Mordred or another character actually named Modred. Both exist in the Marvel Universe.
The team goes to rescue the King and splits up. One group consisting of Doc, Hulk and Namor will attempt to short circuit the magic around them while the other will directly attempt a rescue. The rescue group does some hemming and hawing about how effective they can be when most of the power went with the other team and some other immature dialogue.
Team powerful breaks into a part of the fortress they have deduced is correct because of the absence of sand. A group of Arabs, now called Mohammedans happen to bump into the group and see Hulk's green foot. Hulk gets to happily indulge his violent side by knocking them out.
The not powerful team (except for the Surfer) reach the King's cell and break him out. As they leave they encounter multiple gnomes. They have grey skin again.
The gnomes wipe the floor with the Defenders.
The powerful team has discovered the source of the magic. It's Modred who's hanging out with a Prince John and conjuring up more giant gnomes. The Prince is perturbed by the disturbance and calls on his own enchanter, Chandu. Sal didn't take the opportunity to draw Chandu like Edmond Lowe or Bela Lugosi. ☹ Chandu manages to strike down Doc. Namor then attacks the gnome. They fall into some water and the gnome melts. Namor realizes that his natural element dispatches the gnomes as easily as it does the Wicked Witch of the West.
Namor drenches the entire tower of the fortress they occupy and both teams are free. Uh Oh! Not all is well! Modred grabbed the eye and looks kinda threatening holding it. As Modred prepares to roast our heroes, Prester John (only ever seen before in an old issue of Fantastic Four) appears.
Prester retrieves the eye and knocks out the bad guys. Both Prester and the Black Knight decide to stay in the 12th century. I guess indoor plumbing and air conditioning are too much for them. Prester then sends the rest of the heroes back to their own time.
Back home, Hawkeye, Hulk Namor and the Surfer decide to go their separate ways. As of the final panel, Doc and Valkyrie are the Defenders.
This is a fun wrap up to the Avengers/Defenders war which mercifully dispatches the Avengers in the first few pages and allow the Defenders to take the spotlight once again. As this is a Doc blog I have to say the Defenders Doc seems different from his solo series despite both series being written and edited by the same people. Team books aren't great mediums to explore character growth, but Defenders Doc reads more like a plot device while solo Doc definitely has more personality. Fortunately, neither Doc is as big a jerk as he was in the early days.
In this tale there is a lot going on. There is no chance for the story to slow down or lag. There is constant action and numerous characters on every page. It's entertaining and enjoyable but certainly not literary. The Black Knight will hang around the 12th century for another decade until the Avengers rescue him in another 108 issues of their own book.
As for the end, we know another set of coincidences will drag this team together again!

I was wondering if there's explanation given to some of the more abnormal alt modes, like how does Soundwave get so small and what let's blaster get so big? Also is having multiple alt modes a very unique thing I see that Megatron eventually become a tank gunna miss someone having to hold hi I think that's so funny for his character. Also combining like the constructicons that must have some interesting biology involved.
I think I would be a bit disappointed if a species called "Transformers" was less versatile!
Transformers as a franchise has pretty obviously never cared about scale at all. A semi truck and a walther p-38 gun standing shoulder to shoulder? No problem! This does, however, mean that every now and then they've had to give an in-universe explanation for how exactly those robots manage to do that. The answer they came up with were "mass conversion," "parts compression," "molecular compression," and "mass displacement."
"Mass conversion" stated that when a Transformer transformed, they altered not just their physical structure but their molecular make-up as well, literally tearing themselves apart and putting themselves back together on the atomic level in order to change shape.
"Parts compression" stated that Transformers who had larger alt-modes than robot modes simply possessed many layers of dense armor in robot mode, which slid out in alt-mode to form a less dense vehicle. Fandom refers to this as the "origami" method.
"Molecular compression" is pretty much what it says on the tin: sometimes, a Transformer can reduce the space between their molecules, ant man style, and fit the same amount of mass into a smaller volume.
"Mass displacement" is the most fun explanation. Basically, Transformers are able to store part of their mass somewhere called "subspace," which is essentially hammerspace rationalized as the extra-dimensional buffer space between dimensions. When a Transformers transforms, they either shunt part of their mass into subspace, or draw the waiting reserves of mass from it. This concept actually originated as a fanon explanation for how Transformers were able to change size before any official explanation was ever given; it was later canonized in IDW2005.
Interestingly, Transformers capable of changing size between modes are often able to sort of "hack" their own biology and shrink or grow in robot mode as well.
Combination is another matter. Fusion is a long-standing trope in anime, and Transformers is half anime. Given their ability to take on different forms and their alien biology, it's only natural that Transformers would showcase this ability as well.
There's many different types of combination. There's the most well-known, which is 4-5 different guys combining to form one huge guy, but then there's also mini-con powerlinxing, two-person combination, and even some forms of combination that involve bonding with a human or alien partner.
Unless you're a min-con, not every Transformer can combine. A Transformer must either be designed from birth to combine, or be physically modified to do so. Theoretically anyone could undergo such a modification, but combining isn't just physical: combiners merge minds and personalities as well as bodies, and if they're not in harmony, the combined form will fall apart. To make matters worse, combined robot modes are often significantly less bright than their individual components. A combined robot might either pursue their goals with single-minded obsession or act on raw kaiju animal instinct. This makes them difficult to control and often a recipe for disaster.
Of course, this isn't always the case. Sometimes combining is as easy as pie and there's a new combiner team every freaking episode. Sometimes combination is something mystical, requiring special macguffins magic artifacts to be able to do. As with most things, it varies.

He doesn’t just promote wellness hacks because they sound good; they’re backed by his understanding of biology and human physiology.
His credibility as a biologist means his strategies are rooted in science. He emphasizes the importance of understanding how our bodies work on a biological level and designs biohacks accordingly. This focus on evidence-based health optimization is what truly sets him apart from influencers who may not have a scientific background.
The Gary Brecka 10x Philosophy
What really makes Gary Brecka stand out is his commitment to the 10x philosophy. This isn't just about doing more; it’s about doing things in a way that dramatically accelerates results. Gary Brecka Reviews – The Real Deal
One of the most powerful ways Gary Brecka distinguishes himself is through the authentic feedback and Gary Brecka reviews from people who’ve experienced tangible, positive changes in their lives. From energy boosts to better mental clarity, many individuals testify to the effectiveness of his biohacking strategies.
Unlike some influencers who rely on staged success stories or generic testimonials, Gary Brecka has a growing collection of real-world results. His focus on practical, real-world impact makes his influence more credible and valuable to those truly seeking lasting change.
The Business Edge – Gary Brecka and Cardone Ventures
Another factor that makes Gary Brecka different is his collaboration with Cardone Ventures. His partnership with business mogul Grant Cardone combines health and wealth in a unique way. Conclusion: The Gary Brecka Difference
So, what truly makes Gary Brecka different from other health influencers? It’s the fusion of his scientific background, his 10x philosophy, his focus on natural biohacks, and his proven results. Unlike others who push fads, Gary Brecka is all about creating sustainable, science-backed wellness strategies that deliver real-world results.

Unmissable Podcast Gems: Why 'The Social Lite' Stands Out Among the Best YouTube Podcast Channels

Best Podcast Channels Must Watch On YouTube | The Social Lite
In an era dominated by content overload, finding a podcast that resonates, educates, and entertains can be like searching for a needle in a digital haystack. Among the growing list of YouTube podcast channels, one name consistently grabs the spotlight — The Social Lite. Known for its compelling guests, wide-ranging topics, and thoughtful narratives, The Social Lite is rapidly becoming a hub for meaningful conversations and untold stories.
Whether you're someone who craves real talk, insightful perspectives, or inspiring journeys, this platform has something for everyone. In this article, we dive deep into what makes The Social Lite one of the best podcast channels you must watch on YouTube.
The Rise of Podcasts on YouTube
Podcasts have shifted from niche media to mainstream content, and YouTube has become the unexpected hero in this audio-visual revolution. Why? Because people no longer just want to hear voices—they want to see the emotion, body language, and chemistry between hosts and guests.
Platforms like The Social Lite have capitalized on this trend, offering a hybrid experience that merges compelling visuals with audio richness. Unlike traditional podcasts, YouTube allows the audience to connect on a deeper level, which is why channels like The Social Lite are thriving.
What Sets ‘The Social Lite’ Apart
Let’s break down the magic formula of The Social Lite:
1. Diverse Range of Guests
From startup founders and artists to spiritual gurus and social media influencers, The Social Lite offers a stage for voices from every walk of life. The guest list is carefully curated to ensure diversity not just in occupation but also in thought, background, and experience.
Each episode becomes a mirror reflecting society, showing us where we are, what challenges we face, and what paths we can take forward.
2. Human-Centered Storytelling
Rather than scripted conversations, The Social Lite prioritizes real, unfiltered dialogues. The platform focuses on stories of triumph, failure, growth, and transformation. There is an emotional rawness that keeps viewers glued to their screens.
It’s not about celebrity gossip or clickbait content — it’s about people. And in the world of podcasts, authenticity is gold.
3. Thematic Variety
No two episodes are the same. One week, you might explore the metaphysical world of astrology and karma; the next, you're plunged into startup struggles or digital detox journeys. This constant evolution keeps the audience engaged and eager for the next drop.
The best part? You never feel like you’re stuck in a content loop. With The Social Lite, you’re always learning something new.
Top Episodes That Made Waves
While every episode of The Social Lite brings something unique to the table, here are a few that truly struck a chord with audiences:

Each of these episodes embodies the core mission of The Social Lite — to inspire through storytelling.
Community Engagement & Impact
One of the most underrated but powerful aspects of The Social Lite is its vibrant community. Viewers don’t just passively consume content — they engage. Comments, shares, debates, and even follow-up actions are common after an episode airs.
Whether it’s someone taking up activism, starting therapy, or launching a startup after hearing a motivational guest — The Social Lite has real-world impact.
Why YouTube is the Perfect Home for ‘The Social Lite’
YouTube offers a unique ecosystem for podcast channels like The Social Lite. With visual storytelling, long-form content support, and discoverability via search, it becomes easier for meaningful podcasts to reach the right audience.
Plus, the ability to leave comments, create playlists, and stream on multiple devices makes it convenient for both casual viewers and hardcore fans.
How to Get the Most Out of The Social Lite
Here are a few pro tips if you’re planning to dive into The Social Lite:
1. Start with a Topic You Love
Whether it's mental health, career growth, or spirituality — pick a theme you’re passionate about and start there.
2. Read the Comments Section
The community often shares additional resources, book suggestions, and takeaways from episodes. It’s like a mini-forum of insights.
3. Watch with Friends or Family
Some episodes spark deep conversations. Watching together can turn passive viewing into a meaningful bonding experience.
Future of Podcasting: The Social Lite as a Blueprint
With its rapid growth and evolving format, The Social Lite is setting a new standard for Indian podcasting on YouTube. It proves that you don’t need high-budget production or celebrity hosts to create impact — you need heart, vision, and authenticity.
As more creators enter the space, The Social Lite will likely continue to innovate, maybe even exploring live episodes, international guests, or multi-language content.
Conclusion
In a cluttered digital landscape, finding a podcast that speaks to the soul is rare. The Social Lite not only informs and entertains but uplifts, challenges, and empowers. It brings voices that need to be heard into the limelight, and in doing so, it changes lives — one episode at a time.
If you’re someone who believes that stories can change the world, then The Social Lite isn’t just a channel to follow — it’s a community to be part of.

This Little Piggy (what would YOU do for someone you cared about?)
[All images are owned by DC Comics and Warner Bros-Discovery. I hope I’m too small-fry to sue…]
I’d mentioned a few of the romances in Justice League Unlimited. While viewers got to see many of them play out on the screen, one such pairing never got the “payoff” (and given the number of relationships Batman has had in the Dini-verse, that’s not necessarily a bad thing)
However, one episode shows just how much Bruce Wayne cares for Princess Diana of Themyscira, so I’m reviewing it just in time for Valentine’s Day. If you would like to watch the episode, it’s available on Max or behind your favorite paywall.
We open in Gotham City where Batman and Wonder Woman are staking out the Natural History Museum.
youtube
(Thanks to Mahmood)
OK, addressing the conversation at the beginning of the clip first…
Yes, if someone was idiotically suicidal enough to try going toe-to-toe with Wonder Woman, they would end up a greasy smear on the floor; I doubt even Bane or Killer Croc could last longer than thirty seconds with her. However, Bane (at least in the comics) is a tactical genius who would wear her down before she even laid eyes on him (hell, he famously did that very thing to Batman). Not to mention there are at least three members of Batman’s Rogues Gallery who use poisonous mist (Joker’s smile gas, Scarecrow’s fear toxin, and the poison from whatever flowers Poison Ivy has on hand) that would take out Wonder Woman as soon as she inhaled.
Now, back to our story. The “thief” turns out to be…
…Circe, immortal witch from Greek mythology (mainly in Homer’s The Odyssey), who had lost a bid for power against the Amazons and banished to Hades. However, they sent her hack…
…with the caveat that she wasn’t allowed to move against Hippolyta.
With that Circe works her magic on Wonder Woman…
…as the opening credits roll!
We return to a magic show by Zatanna.
[QUICK NOTE: Zatanna is the daughter of a master sorcerer known as Zatarra. She casts spells by stating the intended effect backwards. In the comics, she’s a former member of the JLA. In the Dini-verse, she’s an old flame of Bruce Wayne’s while he learned escapology from her father (and she knows he’s Batman)]
After the show, she gets a visit from Batman, who asks for her help undoing…
…what Circe did.
[NOTE: Diana’s mind has also reverted to that of a pig, so don’t expect any Amazonian antics while she’s changed]
Unfortunately, Circe’s magic is stronger than Zatanna’s. She suggests calling in a League-level magic wielder like Dr. Fate (well, technically he does have god-level magic, given he has a Lord of Order residing in his helmet), but Batman immediately refuses.
Ya think?
Zatanna swears to find a way to change Diana back but fears only Circe has the ability to do so.
And just where is Circe?
youtube
(Thanks to Princess Darkseid)
Meanwhile, Zatanna is tapping every one of her mystical contacts to find her. She has assembled talismans for a locator spell, with one final thing to obtain. Just one problem.
The final ingredient is kind of pricey, but she pays it (after all, she can always bill the Wayne Corporation) However…
…the spell fizzles.
NOW you tell her!
What’s worse, in the confusion Diana runs off! Zatanna and Batman scour the city looking for her, but to no avail, so Batman reluctantly calls in some help.
Meet B’wana Beast, an expert tracker who has the ability to speak to animals (and, in the comics at least, can temporarily merge them into powerful hybrids)
Batman gets B’wana Beast up to speed. B’wana Beast says he’ll draft a few others to help…
…and off he goes.
And who does he recruit?
Red Tornado
Elongated Man
and The Crimson Avenger
Meanwhile, Diana’s wandering the city, eating whatever tossed food she can find.
…running right past B’wana Beast, who gives chase. Unfortunately…
Good luck, Beast.
Meanwhile…
youtube
(Thanks again to Princess Darkseid)
[NOTE: The blind woman is Themis, Greek goddess of Justice]
And so with that clue, Batman has an idea where to find Circe. However, it’s revealed that the pig sty B’wana Beast tracked Diana to is attached to a slaughterhouse…
…and is being herded into the queue! Fortunately, some part of her realizes where she is and she makes a break for it.
Unfortunately, her escape didn’t go unnoticed and she’s chased all throughout the slaughterhouse. She manages to make her pursuer look like an idiot…
…so he decides play time’s over!
Back on Earth, Batman and Zatanna finally track down Circe and attack!
Give Zatanna credit; she knows how to bring the house down!
All that does is piss Circe off, so she transforms the patrons into beasts and orders them to attack!
On that note, let’s see how Diana’s doing.
Not well. The workers throw the sow-tied Diana onto the conveyor to get her chopped up (don’t they kill the animals before carving them up? If not, we need to get the ASPCA involved!)
Back at the auditorium…
youtube
(Thanks to Blue Kryptonite)
Sadly, this is the closest we get to Batman and Diana becoming an item.
Happy Valentines Day, everyone!

I write a tiny amount, actually. I personally do not think it is very good at all, but I have got to be at least slightly confident and plague the world with my writing.
Anyways, I have a great concept and would like to present it. It is a bit long, so brace yourselves.
So. The fabric of the universe (or the fabric of reality, basically interchangeable) is fragile and gets damaged all the time randomly. The hierarchy of damage to the universe goes: wrinkle < rift < fracture < fissure. They all expand exponentially, so even a rift is an emergency.
To close them, there is this thing called a rift sealer because I am horrible with names. Rift sealers contain small amounts of rift fibre, which are obtained by bringing a certain forcefield on to carbon fibre. They are basically magic at this point.
Each rift sealer needs to contain a small amount of rift fibres, which can just be put into a box and soldiered on to a memory chip or something in a USB. You can totally put it on to a computer motherboard or something, but if you put it on to a USB, you retain the functionality of the computer it is plugged into once the USB is unplugged.
Now, why does one need to shove magical carbon fibre into a memory drive? Rift fibres need to be trained so they can make fissure thread (more on that later) and before they are trained well enough to operate independently in threads. In order to use untrained thread, they need guidance from sentient beings in a movie style hacking way (please somebody improve this) to be able to do their jobs. If left alone, they might make the situation worse by enlarging the rifts, risking fissuring.
Completely trained rift fibres are then woven into fissure thread.
Wrinkles do not cause much damage (yet) and can be ironed out just with the presence of a rift sealer.
Rifts are easier to find than wrinkles due to their influence on their surroundings (more on that later).
Fractures are untreated rifts. They are dealt with by using rift locks—a specific type of knot tied with a length of fissure thread, carefully installed as to maintain stability. Or in layman terms, tie a knot, dip it in wax, and yeet that bitch into the fracture.
Fissures are the hardest and most resource intensive to deal with. They are the only type to leave permanent scars on the fabric of the universe. To seal fissures, the edges have to be hemmed and pulled together, all with fissure thread. Due to the fabric being forced together, it leaves bumps which are quite noticeable if you travel over them.
There are types of rifts. While consuming the universe somehow, they cause disturbances in reality. Their types include:
Temporal rifts (or time rifts) distorts the flow of time. Time loops, time jumps and the merging of multiple timelines can all be blamed on this.
Spatial rifts (or space rifts) distort physical space. Mainly the seamless connection of two seperate places and twisting topology of the surrounding area.
Dimensional rifts open gates to other dimensions. They are a subcategory of space rift, and the alternate dimensions do not always follow our laws of reality.
Reality rifts mess up the fabric of our reality, causing disturbances in laws of physics, math, whatever.
Energy rifts disturb the logic of "raw energy", like electrical, thermal, or nuclear. Energy rifts might constantly throw out energy which disrupt the normal flow of energy.
In conclusion, that means you can: make all your AUs canon, get isekaied and shit. I should be sleeping and I have typed all this out with my thumbs on my phone.
#splitting the fabric of the universe for the shits and giggles#writing#universe idea#half assed and half asleep#this is my first time creative writing on Tumblr please be gentle
