not in like, a bad way. its just... my first controversy i was at all a part of online was the LionMaker (who went to jail) situation in middle school. Just the other day that one Zelda cosplayer (@/thefreckledzelda on tiktok) has gotten exposed for everything AND the kitchen sink.

I always get a bad feeling about these things. LionMaker's voice made my skin crawl. I didn't even know what child predation WAS at the time. I thought I was being extremely rude for a good few years until everything came out.

I've been trying to learn to trust my gut, but I worry about being judgemental. I was more judgemental when I was younger so I'm scared of falling back into bad habits, but I SWEAR every time, this just comes back around. Sometimes I'm a bit off, but I'm telling ya'll, LISTEN to your gut!!!

i know not many people would want to read a 10,000 word article about the minecraft end poem and how the author, Julian Gough, was never fairly compensated for his work and has made it public domain.

But it's a very well-written and heartfelt read, and he makes it very clear that none of this is a cash-grab and despite the fact that he is essentially a starving artist in this capitalist society, he only mentions his financial struggles despite Minecraft's huge huge success at the bottom of this article and not in the tweets so as to not dilute his message.

Anyway, I just think it'd be cool if those who are able to could support him in some way whether it be subscribing to his substack or donating to his paypal (that's linked in the article, you can ctrl + F to find it easier), that's all.

now to my fave minecraft worldbuilding topic

what can you cook? what's edible? what's possible with enough imagination?

I'd like to start with things that are present in-game (vanilla), first, the foods and drinks (ingredients too), having a loaf of bread with a nice mushroom stew seasoned with dandelions for breakfast is an option taken straight from the game

now let's say that I take the apples, wheat, milk, sugar and eggs to make an apple pie, that isn't in the game, but it's something possible to craft

in an extend things like salt can exist because the presence of sea water, same as things like bacon (pigs), cheese (milk) and so on

what if I throw the existing leaves in hot water to make tea?

or since all the dyes have an organic source can I make a rainbow cake?

how you cook things must be important too I imagine, maybe steak cooked in the smoker tastes way better than cooked with a fire aspect sword

Elaborating on Ender dragon Falin for minecraft au

She would probably have darker, more brown chicken feathers and less of them since the end is probably really cold due to no light source except the floor.

Thistle would probably create some kind of magic crystal on hand to heal her, or at the very least reverse her wounds. He would probably not be able to make it painless (since healing itself is just speeding up the process and hurts really badly).

So about what I said with Falin teleporting the party, I feel like in this form she would have a limited amount of particles and whenever she teleports she loses a few and can only tp a few people specifically to a floor or different space.

When she gets stabbed by Kabru she inadvertently teleports him onto the ground and he barely misses another character as he's teleported before he gets scratched+kicked away by her and dies. The teleportation is random so she might do it to one person and teleport them through a wall and destroy it in that moment, or into another person and killing them both.

the 1.13 aquatic update was minecrafts most gamechanging update ever no contest. i mean ok all of the updates change the game but that one was THE BIGGEST. new textures. Conduits. Coral reefs. Tridents. Sea grass. Kelp. AND THE UPDATED WATER MECHANICS OH MY GODDDDDDDD DO YOU REMEMBER HOW BIG OF A PAIN WATER USED TO BE BOTH TO TRAVEL IN AND TO GET RID OF? DO YOU REMEMBER HOW SLOW SWIMMING WAS?? DO YOU REMEMBER THE OLD BOATS??? if someone took the time and effort to fill ur entire house with water before 1.13 then u were fucked up ur ass and it didnt even look good but now we're able to WATERLOG CHESTS AND PARTIAL BLOCKS AND LIGHT SOURCES 1.13 did SO MUCH FOR US and we barely even appreciate her. minecraft 1.13 update i love you forever you will always have my heart

there's a million "i captured every mob in hardcore minecraft" and "i transformed the end dimension in hardcore minecraft" videos out there but i think another one that should join the ranks is building every structure that got removed from the game. for no reason other than i think it'll be really funny to watch all these youtubers mine over 5000 stacks of bricks to make a single pyramid
