HC on HW Impa’s perspective/view on HW Zelink

Well let’s see... she seems to be very close with Zelda in hw, probably a mix between older sister and mom (since it seems like Zelda doesn’t have any parents).

I actually actually think she’d be pretty okay with their relationship, since Link has more than proved himself over the course of the war in her eyes. I mean he saved her life right at the beginning! He’s obviously a good man, and tries to make up for his mistakes when they’re made.

And he obviously cares for Zelda too, since it seems to me that he’s rather worried for her while she’s “missing”, and I can think of a few instances in the game where he specifically goes to help her when she’s in trouble.

Also I think after the war, if they’re dancing around their feelings at all or just being idiots in regards to their relationship, she’s probably the one to be like “kiss and make up you idiots”.

That being said, she probably still is a little protective of Zelda. Just a little.

Zora princess engagement

The Legend of Zelda has a history of Zora princesses falling in love with/being engaged to the Hero of Hyrule/Link

So therefore, in Echoes of Wisdom, I would like for:

A- Zelda to run across a Zora princess engaged to Link and tell her hands off, he's kidnapped

B- Zelda to be engaged to a Zora princess and tell her no, Link is kidnapped

C- With both the river and ocean Zora being in Eow, BOTH Link and Zelda were engaged to Zora royalty, who are pissed that they now have to marry each other instead since Link is kidnapped

This is half joking but tbh I really would love for the Zora engagement trope to show up again

I mean the entirety of Eow is set up for Zelink. He chases her. She chases him. It's the idea that they're not whole without the other- if Link is taken so is Zelda. (see what I did there. Taken. Like kidnapped but also taken like in love with someone already. So they're both taken- ok moving on)

So yeah the zelink is so strong in this game from the four minute trailer(s), I really wanna see a Zora engagement because of the potential for *drama*

I woke up within a cold sweat with this botw/totk zelink headcanon but i like to think Link actually proposed to Zelda but in an unplanned unofficial way. Like...a week after totk happens and they're having their first breakfast at Hateno (or maybe Akkala) and Zelda's rambling about how she's sad she never recorded ancient food recipes she's tried at her time in the past and Link just stops her and goes "hey...do you want to get married?"

Zelda's visibly like ??? huh??? and he repeats it. She's a lil spooked cause where is this coming from. Also she's dense so she says "well...I've...assumed I'll be married sometime in the future..." not connecting that he's literally proposing to her and he smiles so sweetly at her and says "I mean with me. Will you want to marry me?" And he steps over to her side of the table and finally gets on one knee.

I love the theory that Zelda repaired the Champion's Tunic to propose to Link with it because if we take the idea of Link culturally viewing the gifting of armor as an engagement tradition to its logical conclusion, what did he think of the Champion's Tunic the first time around?

My one and only TOTK crack AU is that when Zelda went to the past, she was pregnant, and Sonia and Rauru didn't have kids. Zelda gave birth in the past and left the child behind (not her choice). As the monarchs were dead, that kid was named Rauru and Sonia's successor, and started the royal line that in TOTK's present ends in Zelda

She's the mother, the daughter and the holy spirit. Amen🛐
