While Eddie’s leaning over tying his boots, Buck enters the locker room and after he says, “Hi everybody,” Eddie responds, “Hey” and the others greet him too.
Buck walks to his locker and after he opens it, he says, “How are you?”
He shrugs his shoulders in response, then replies, “I’m ok.” He lies because he isn’t and he hasn’t been for a long time but he doesn’t want to burden Buck with his problems. After a few seconds, he asks, “How about you?”
Instead of admitting the truth, he lies too. “Me too.”
He nods, closes his locker and says, “I’ll see you out there.”
“Ok.” Buck admits, then he quickly removes his civies and starts getting dressed in his uniform.
Why aren't Buck and Eddie telling each other how they really feel about their current situations? 👀

Chapter 35 will be posted soon.
This is an EPIC LOVE STORY!
Currently 34 chapters completed: 1.585M Words; Rated: Mature
__________
I'm excited to finish writing Chapter 35 because at the end of Chapter 34, the Diaz family had just returned home after spending the weekend in El Paso. A lot happened while they were there and Helena caused trouble like she usually does but Eddie permanently instituted the "no contact" provision he put into place in November 2023. Furthermore, they told their family about their home in Italy along with a portion of their timeline for when they're planning to relocate.
After they made it back to the hotel, Buck and Eddie had a long conversation about their employment options and they decided once Buck chose which career path he wanted to take, i.e., fire captain with the LAFD, FDNY or with an Italian firehouse, they would chose the option that best suited their family and it had to be one that would provide Chris with the best education. Buck made the decision to accept the job as a Food Network chef and right after he did, they listened to a voice message Bobby left for him while they were on their flight back to L.A. 👀
__________
Here’s a snippet from an upcoming chapter of Buck and Eddie speaking with someone they hadn't anticipated meeting.
__________
As soon as Steve turns around, there are two people waiting for him and once he walks away, Chief Sanders looks at Buck and Eddie again and asks, “What are your future plans with the LAFD?”
Eddie furrows his eyebrows and Buck’s eyes widen followed by them looking at one another because they weren’t expecting this question. Buck reaches for his husband’s hand and once he has it, he gently squeezes it for comfort. Then he nods at him and Eddie takes it as his cue to respond.
“Chief Sanders, if you don’t mind, could you explain the reason for your question?”
“I don’t mind at all. I’m asking what your plans are with the Los Angeles Fire Department because based on everything Lieutenant Donovan told me, it’s my understanding you have an option to relocate to New York City. Is that correct?”
Instead of giving him a direct answer, Eddie decides to keep it neutral. “My husband and I talked about it but currently, we’re still reviewing our options.”
“I understand but if leaving the LAFD is the thing that’s giving you cause of concern, I can assure you that we have room for both of you to work in Manhattan.” He smiles brightly then continues. “Not to toot our horn so to speak but the FDNY is the largest municipal fire department in the country and that means we extinguish more fires and respond to more medical emergencies than any other department, including Los Angeles.”
Buck and Eddie nod but they don’t interrupt because they can tell he’s not finished.
“Listen Buck and Eddie, if you can’t tell, I’ll make it crystal clear… I’m a straight shooter and I can recognize great firefighters and paramedics when I meet them. My wife says I can because I have a sixth sense or something but anyway, I can recognize when someone has answered the call and it appears both of you have. Being a firefighter and a paramedic is a calling and I can tell you’re both passionate about it. Eddie, you’ve been recently promoted to be a Critical Care Paramedic and I know that means you started the path and continued it.”
Eddie’s mouth falls open because the only way he could know that is if he truly believes the things he’s saying especially since he knew he wanted to become a paramedic for a long time before he talked to Bobby about it.
“Thank you, Chief Sanders.”
“You’re welcome but there’s no need to thank me.” He replies then he looks at Buck and asks, “Buck, what are your plans for the future?”
“Well, I uh… wanted to be a fire captain but…” He trails off and shakes his head in disbelief.
Eddie gently squeezes his hand and after he looks up again, Buck admits, “It’s complicated.”
“Is your captain holding you back?”
“What… uh… how, I—I mean what made you ask that?”
“Because I’ve known Chief Miranda Williams for years because she used to work in New York but after she relocated to Los Angeles, she kept in touch.”
Both of their eyes widen to the size of silver dollars.
When Chief Sanders notices, he explains, “Don’t worry, I won’t tell her I bumped into you but she informed me about the antiquated ways they do things there and I’m here to tell you like I told her, it’s ridiculous. The Fire Commissioner needs to update the department especially since the LAFD is one of three that still doesn’t have lieutenants.”
Buck’s speechless because him and Eddie have talked about the organizational changes that should be implemented. When he looks at his husband, he can tell Eddie’s at a loss for words too. He’s about to respond but he doesn’t have a chance since the chief’s phone starts ringing.
He removes it from his jacket pocket, looks at it, taps ignore then says, “I’ll call them back when I leave but before I go, I want to make both of you aware that in July of next year, our department will have two vacancies since we’ll need to fill a captain and a Critical Care Paramedic spots right here in the Chelsea area. Currently, those roles are held by a husband and wife team but last month, they submitted their retirement papers because they’re leaving Manhattan after their daughter graduates college. They’ll be missed because they both have a lot of experience and it’s the reason why I’m looking for two people with experience to fill them. If you’re interested, here’s my business card…” He trails off as he reaches into his pocket and after he gets one, he hands it to Eddie. “Give me a call once you’ve made your decision about whether you want to move to New York. Manhattan is a great city and we have a lot to offer, therefore I’d like to discuss what we could offer both of you with regards to employment, ok?”
How will Buck and Eddie respond to Chief Sanders? 😊
Why are Buck and Eddie in Manhattan? 😎
Will the result of this conversation with the Fire Chief change their relocation timeline along with the place they decide to move to? 🙃
Are they going to move to New York or will they stay in Los Angeles until they prepare to relocate to San Gimignano, Italy? 😁

However, when Buck asks, his reasoning will be about something else entirely.

During this time, many questions will surface that could possibly lead to the truth but will everything be revealed before it’s too late?
Chapter 32 - On January 2, 2024, the figurative skies over the Diaz family became gray and filled with storm clouds. Buck’s recent trauma, Chris’ school project and Eddie’s paramedic studies combined with the attack on Buck’s life, all those things contributed to the grief they’ve been experiencing. However, as the middle of February approaches, will the dark clouds dissipate so blue skies can return?

During the event, they have plans to make two surprise announcements but the question is, who’s really going to be surprised, the Diaz family or their found family at the 118?
Chapter 26 - Buck and Eddie are once again faced with their greatest fear of losing each other but this time it could be permanent and if it is, then they won’t be able to spend the rest of their lives together.

Chapter 28 - Two years ago, Eddie was asked, “What are you afraid of?”; twice, once by Frank and once by Buck but he only answered one of them without deflecting. Since that time, he’s been to therapy and him and Buck got married but the question resurfaces when Frank asks Buck the same question and Buck asks it of Eddie for the second time. However, when Buck asks, his reasoning will be about something else entirely.
Chapter 29 - After Buck and Eddie have an emotionally intimate conversation regarding their dreams, they make several decisions that will affect their future. When everything falls into place, they’ll realize one of those decisions will result in them no longer being work partners.
Chapter 30 - In 2018, Buck and Eddie met at the 118 and after some initial apprehensions on Buck’s part, they became work partners and they agreed to have each other’s backs. It’s been more than 6 ½ years, a lot’s happened, they got married in December 2023 and they have the family they both chose. With Eddie leaving the 118 in 3 months and Buck getting closer to moving past his grief, what will him losing his work partner mean for him?
Chapter 31 - As Buck’s life hangs in the balance from what’s suspected to be another bradycardia event, Eddie’s by his bedside, their son is being cared for by relatives and their found family is in the waiting room.
Chapter 33 - Now that “New Beginnings” are on the horizon for the Diazes regarding their future as dual residents of the United States of America and Italy, Buck and Eddie review their career qualifications and they consider educational options for Chris.
Chapter 34 - Buck and Eddie are equals in their marriage, they wholeheartedly support one another and they agreed to discuss the big decisions that affect their family. Recent events have them facing a difficult one that will affect their dreams and Buck’s career, Eddie’s job location and plans for Chris’ educational future from both domestic and international perspectives are all included. While they’re visiting El Paso, TX, they’ll discuss the pros and cons of each option.

Where CANON and FANON collide!
FANON FanFic: Buddie Multi-Chapter - “I’m still in love with you but... I needed to learn how to love myself too!”

“I do need you.”

Where CANON and FANON collide!
New Buddie Fanfic in the "What do you want?" A Series of Fics and Ficlets
The 7th fic in the "What do you want?" Series in now available on AO3. "I do need you." - It’s late and after being on the road from Los Angeles to El Paso for more than 12 hours, Eddie and Buck are tired but they aren’t sleeping. Instead, they’re continuing to discuss things they’ve left unsaid.
"I do need you."
5.0K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences
Please note: the fics in this series were season 8 speculation before it began; however several things I included in the first 6 fics/ficlets, i.e. Buck's breakup with Tonsilitis along with Eddie going to visit Chris in El Paso, TX and taking Buck with him either haven't happened yet or they won't. Therefore, these are now solely based on my head FANONS and they include things I wish would happen in CANON. The CANON BT breakup is coming but I REFUSE TO WRITE ANYMORE FICS WITH T.K. 2.0 IN THEM. I’ve written two and a couple of others where he’s mentioned but I don't like the character; in fact I NEVER have and I'm too tired of Buck’s tragic repeated relationship with him to write about a character just to end up writing him out of the fic anyway. Also, as I've stated many times before, I write Buck and Eddie so they're getting ready to enter a relationship or when they're already in an established one.
___________
Here's a snippet of a conversation Buck and Eddie are having while they're in their hotel room.
___________
“Can we talk about something?”
“Of course.”
Buck nods and he takes a moment to determine the best way to say the things he wants to say.
Eddie doesn’t rush him; he just patiently waits for him to continue.
Once the words and sentences formulate inside of his mind, they begin to fall out of his mouth unbidden. “Uh, ever since Friday morning… two times you’ve said you need me. Once was when we were at the firehouse then you said it again a few minutes ago but um, I have to ask… do you uh, just need me to be Chris’ guardian or do you need me for you too?”
Eddie eyebrows go up so high on his forehead that they almost touch his hairline because he thought he made it crystal clear that he needs Buck in both of their lives. Without breaking eye contact, he admits, “Buck, I need you for me and Chris and I want…” He trails off because he was about to say he wants to spend the rest of his life with him. Also, he was about to admit that he’s in love with him but he caught himself since he still has a lot of work to do to fix the things he broke earlier this year when he emotionally cheated with a doppelgänger and when he lied to the two people who mean the world to him, Buck and Chris. He refuses to be in a place of mental despair when he tells the man of his dreams that he wants them to spend the next 50 or 60 years together.
He turns on the lamp, stands, walks over to Buck’s bed and stands in front of him. After he places his hand on his shoulder with his thumb on his pulse point, he looks into those ocean blue eyes he loves so much and explains, “Buck, you’re mine and Chris’ family and I—I need you to be with me because I can’t do this alone. You’ve been co-parenting Chris with me for the past 7 years and you’ve been part of his life longer than his mother. You’re not a guest in our house and Buck…” He pauses then says, “Ok… listen.”
What is Eddie going to say next? 👀
How will Buck respond? 🙃
___________
"What do you want?" - A Series of Ficlets
Currently 7 works completed; 46.4K Words: Rated; Teen and Up Audiences: This is a series of “Fics and Ficlets” that I’ll be writing over the course of the next few weeks and my goal is to keep them under a certain number of words. I’m challenging myself to do it this way for multiple reasons but mainly because I want to see if I can write a full Buddie story by including smaller fics in a series in comparison to the multi-chapter fic I’m still in the process of writing titled, “I’m still in love with you but… I needed to learn how to love myself too!” I began writing it last year after season 6 was an epic disaster, however this time I started with my dislike for the way season 7 ended. Finally, I have several WIPs that I want to finish and I figured I can turn them all into one shot fics or ficlets to build the full story for Buck and Eddie.
Since these ficlets will be posted in order, it’s imperative to read them one after the other. Each part ends at a specific point with a cliffhanger and the next part will begin with the ending of the previous part. Therefore, parts 1 - 6 should be read prior to reading part 7 and the series will continue in that manner until it’s complete.
"You don't know math!" - 3.3K Words; Rated Teen and Up Audiences: Buck is forced to choose while Eddie might be presented with another option.
"Math is a universal language." - 5K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: Eddie reconnects with an old acquaintance and they spend a lot of time together. However, now that Buck’s single, he finally tries to understand math is a universal language but when he sees Eddie talking to another guy, he wonders if it took him too long to figure it out.
“You know, it’s like that thing when you meet somebody and you just… click.” - 5.1K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: When Buck comes face to face with Eddie’s new friend; he hates it but since he’s only told Maddie about his breakup with Tommy, Eddie’s still under the impression he’s taken. Therefore, Eddie makes plans to spend even more time with his new acquaintance.
"I can't stop thinking about him." - 8.1K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: Buck and Eddie are trying to move on but they can’t stop thinking about each other.
“How I hide my true feelings from others.” - 9.6K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: Buck and Eddie return to therapy but they’re both not telling each other about recent events that happened. Will they finally have an open and honest conversation before it’s too late?
"We need to talk." - 11.4K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: After Eddie and Buck decide to take a weekend road trip to El Paso, TX to visit Chris, during the 12-hour drive, they talk about a lot of things they’ve left unsaid.
"I do need you." - It’s late and after being on the road from Los Angeles to El Paso for more than 12 hours, Eddie and Buck are tired but they aren’t sleeping. Instead, they’re continuing to discuss things they’ve left unsaid.

Season 7 FANON Speculation: Buddie Multi-Chapter Fanfic - Hiatus Reading: “I’m still in love with you but... I needed to learn how to love myself too!”
Chapter 34 is now available on AO3.
This is an EPIC LOVE STORY!
“I’m still in love with you but... I needed to learn how to love myself too!”
Currently 34 chapters completed: 1.583M Words; Rated: Mature
Please note: Chapter 33 was so big; I had to divide it into two separate chapters. Chapter 34 is now available on AO3; therefore Chapter 33 should be read first.
___________
Here's a snippet from Chapter 34 of a conversation between Buck and Eddie while they discuss Buck's career options.
___________
After several seconds of silence, Buck continues. “It’s just… you sacrifice everything for our family and I—I know my career is in… flux, disarray or hell, honestly at this point I don’t even know what to call it but you’re supporting me through it. At one time I thought firefighting would be all I’d ever have because I never thought about any other options. But uh… the job with The Food Network came out of nowhere and it’s a real opportunity for us. If I take it, I’ll get to set my schedule the way I want it and um… I’ll only have to film episodes 12 weeks out of the year and the best part is…” He trails off and kisses his husband’s lips. After he lays his head back on top of the pillow, he admits, “I can still be a firefighter if I want.”
“That’s true but amore mio, you don’t have to thank me. We’re in this together and there’s no place else I’d rather be.”
“But Ed—die, if we move to New York…”
He leans down and kisses his lips to interrupt him and after he pulls back, he admits, “We talked about this, you and Chris are my dream and everything we do and each decision we make… it’s for our family. I can be a Critical Care Paramedic in Los Angeles, New York City or San Gimignano, Italy. My career dream of becoming a paramedic already came true and you were there with me every step of the way. Therefore, being a Critical Care Paramedic is a bonus and I can do it anywhere and you know what else?”
“What?”
“One of the best things about our jobs in fire and emergency services is… our skills are in high demand and we can transfer to another department and we won’t miss a beat. Fighting fires and caring for wounded and injured victims can be done anywhere in the world.”
Will Buck decide to leave the LAFD? 🙃
If he does, will he decide to become a world-renowned chef on the Food Network TV show "All About Pasta?" 🤷🏽♀️
Will the Diaz family move to New York City? 👀

Chapter 10 - As Buck and Eddie finally begin to confront their past traumas, they realize how much they need each other to fill in the gaps of their memories. Additionally, the universe screams at them for what appears to be the one hundredth time so Buck can realize he doesn’t have to ‘find it’ because he already ‘made it’ and Eddie’s reminded tomorrow isn’t promised and he doesn’t have to die alone if he doesn’t want to.
Chapter 11 - A “virga” or dry thunderstorm is in the forecast but once the rain starts, the thunderstorm happening outside won’t be able to match the storm brewing inside between Buck and Eddie. It’s the universe’s final scream and when the tumultuous winds begin to blow, they’ll have one last chance to hold onto everything they’ve built over the last six years or they’ll lose it all forever.
Chapter 12 - Buck and Eddie have always shared a deep physical attraction and an emotional intimacy that’s unmatched but now that they’re in a relationship, they’re learning how to navigate the romantic intimacy they’ve been waiting for six years to explore. The love they have for each other is a once in a lifetime, soulmate, love of their lives type of love that transcends space and time.
Chapter 13 - While navigating the newness of their romantic relationship, Buck and Eddie take advantage of every moment they spend together. As their individual lives, people from their pasts, time constraints and the possibility of losing each other again make attempts to interrupt and interfere with their journey to forever, they love, care for, support and hold onto each other even tighter to withstand it all.
Chapter 14 - Buck and Eddie can see the lights at the end of the tunnels regarding the results of Buck’s Cancer Screening along with everything else they’re dealing with. But are the lights they see exits to the tunnels or are they headlights on different runaway trains that are speeding towards them in an effort to interrupt their forever?
Chapter 15 - Buck and Eddie have known they were exactly who the other one wanted in a partner since they met six years ago when they agreed to have each other’s backs. They’re in a romantic relationship, they’re both preparing to ask the other one to spend forever with them and by the end of the seventh week into their relationship, together they will plan their most important and greatest adventure for their future.
Chapter 16 - As Buck and Eddie begin to prepare for their marriage ceremony that will take place in Rome, Italy in December 2023, they start planning their first international adventure as a romantic couple. Even though Chris is still the only person they’ve told about their relationship, several people who know them have already witnessed the love they share and as the days continue, others will witness it too.
Chapter 17 - As Buck and Eddie get closer to departing Los Angeles for their international adventure, a moment in time will remind them; life is fragile, tomorrow isn’t promised and every second of everyday should be cherished because everything can change in an instant. The result of that realization will cause them to hold onto each other even more.
Chapter 18 - As Buck, Eddie and Chris prepare for family gatherings before and during the Thanksgiving holiday, the “Santa Ana Winds” start to blow and all sorts of expected and unexpected familial drama ensues.
Chapter 19 - As Buck and Eddie get closer to their wedding day, the universe begins to align everything so that some of their parent and children's relationships are strengthened while others come to an abrupt end.
Chapter 20 - With only 14 days remaining until Buck, Eddie and Chris depart Los Angeles, CA traveling to Rome, Italy, for their first family adventure, an early morning conversation about “tying up loose ends” helps Buck and Eddie realize there are still several things left unfinished on their ‘To Do’ lists. The question is will there be enough time to complete all of them?
Chapter 21 - Buck, Eddie and Chris are finalizing their ‘To Do’ Lists, double checking their itineraries and packing their suitcases in preparation for their trip to Europe so they can board their flight that departs Los Angeles, CA on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 3:25PM.
Chapter 22 - While Buck, Eddie and Chris spend the first 8 days of their European family adventure in Italy, their primary reason for going will be fulfilled as well as several others they hadn’t considered or anticipated.
Chapter 23 - As the Diaz Family continues their Italian family adventure, they’ll say, “Ciao” or hello and goodbye to a lot of things almost immediately after they become an official and legal family.
Chapter 24 - After Buck, Eddie and Chris arrive in London, England on December 24th; the Diazes immediately start preparing to spend their first family Christmas together. During their stay, each of them will hear a few choice words that will be the life raft to get them home to complete their searches to be seen and to be found.
Chapter 25 - After spending more than two weeks in Europe, Eddie, Buck and Chris are back in Los Angeles and they’re getting ready to attend Maddie and Chimney’s New Year’s Eve party.
Chapter 27 - After Buck resumes therapy, he’ll continue to face the fact that he “DIED” in March 2023 and during those sessions, he’ll learn about the 7 stages of grief. As he continues his healing journey, Eddie will be right by his side just like he promised and the Diaz family will start to deal with their three minutes and seventeen seconds loss as a family.
Chapter 33 -Now that “New Beginnings” are on the horizon for the Diazes regarding their future as dual residents of the United States of America and Italy, Buck and Eddie review their career qualifications and they consider educational options for Chris.
Chapter 35 - Will be posted within the next few days.

Here's a snippet from Chapter 7 of Buck and Eddie while they're standing in the operating room with their surrogate, her OB/GYN, several nurses, a videographer and two patient care representatives.
____________
Buck kisses Daniella’s forehead then he breaks the sound barrier first. “Babe! Our daughters… they’re here!” He whisper shouts while maintaining eye contact with the love of his life. His tears start streaming down his face and his mask is completely wet but he doesn’t care.
“My love, they are here and I—I’m so happy...” He trails off because he’s not doing any better since he’s just as emotional as his husband. He kisses her cheek and becomes mesmerized by their daughter.
When Danielle opens her eyes and looks at her father for the first time, it literally takes Eddie’s breath away.

Buck looks at Daniella and says, “Welcome to the world Daniella, me and your dad are so happy to finally meet you.” His heart melts because their daughters are the best little girls in the whole world and he won’t listen to anyone who says they aren’t.

Their Firsts, At Last - 440K Words; 15 Completed works: A multi-part fanfic series about the romantic “firsts” Buck and Eddie share as they journey through life in an established relationship and their lives as a couple will include some of Buck’s individual “firsts” too. It’s filled with the FANON love, romance, fluff and domesticity their relationship should have been allowed to experience in CANON. The second part of the series title was adapted from the song “At Last” by Etta James.
This series of FANON future speculation fanfics is being written on a continuous timeline that begins with the start of season 7 (if it were to start in September 2023). Each part ends at a specific point in Buck and Eddie’s relationship so the next part can begin with the ending of the previous part. Therefore, parts 1-14 should be read prior to reading part 15 and the series will continue in that manner until it’s complete.
Parts 1 - 15 are available on AO3

Buddie: Interviewer's response to OS's slow burn comment.
I haven't seen any posts about this part of the article so I'm posting it here because IMO, it's important. When interviewers see the same thing most of the audience sees, then it adds validity especially when Buddie shippers have been told they were "seeing things that weren't there" for years. The interviewer is right because Buck and Eddie have had a slow burn for the last six seasons. Therefore, my question is how much slower are they going to make this "will they, won't they" between Buck and Eddie because it's already been a long time?
Oh and one last thing, the interviewer agrees with everyone who says Buck’s already a parent to Chris!

___________
This is an EPIC LOVE STORY!

New Buddie Fanfic Series - Love, Life and Adventures!
Part 4 is now available on AO3: “My love, take my breath away!” - Eddie and Buck spend the day in downtown Los Angeles doing a food tour with 10 other people but they still manage to remain in their own little romantic bubble.
“My love, take my breath away!”
11.5K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences
___________
Here's a romantically fluffy snippet from one of Buck's and Eddie's conversations. They've just returned to Eddie's after their romantic day date and they can't stop kissing.
___________
Eddie says, “Every time I look at you… you take my breath away. I—I didn’t know love could be like this and I’m so glad I found it with you. I love you!”
Without hesitation, Buck breathlessly admits, “Eddie! I—I love you so much and whenever I look at you, I feel the same way. Uh… you’ve been taking my breath away since the moment I saw you standing in the locker room. You were putting on your shirt and I couldn’t believe how gorgeous you are. I acted bratty that first day because I thought you were going to replace me but then…”
They both open their eyes, lean back and smile.
“I should have known I—I didn’t have to worry because you were there to do what you came to do. You were sexy as hell back then and you’re still the sexiest man I’ve ever seen and you always will be.”
“You’re gorgeous my love. You’re built like a Greek God and you have the most beautiful blue eyes I’ve ever seen. I love listening to you talk and every time you tell me something new, it takes my breath away just like everything else you do.”
They sway from side to side as they listen to the lead singer repeat the chorus again followed by verse three. “My love, Take my breath away. Through the hourglass, I saw you. Each time you slipped away. When the mirror crashed, I called you. And turned to hear you say. If only for today, I am unafraid.”
When she finishes singing the last lyric, he says, “That’s how I felt the night we confessed our love. I wasn’t afraid to tell you how much I’ve always loved you. I’ve been in love with you for years and now we’re here and…”
What's going to happen next? 👀
Will Buck propose to Eddie now or will he wait until they go to Napa Valley next month? 🙃

Love, Life and Adventures!
This is a new FANON series I’ve created and titled “Love, Life and Adventures” and it’s adapted from the title of the photo album Thomas was making for Mitchell in 2x8 “Buck Actually.” In this series, Buck and Eddie are in a secret relationship and they will be going on dates and having a fabulous time as they get to know each other romantically. They’ve always been emotionally intimate but they’ll be dating and wooing the other one with surprises and romantic gestures.
I’m not sure how many fics will included but I do know I want to write about them having fun and enjoying their time together because they deserve it.
"Tell me a secret!" - 3.1K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: Buck and Eddie are in a secret relationship and they’ve only told one person they’re together. They’re planning to reveal it to their biological and found families soon but they won’t do it until they’ve had the chance to love, live life and share some adventures while they’re in the honeymoon phase.

Chapter 25 - After spending more than two weeks in Europe, Eddie, Buck and Chris are back in Los Angeles and they’re getting ready to attend Maddie and Chimney’s New Year’s Eve party.

Here are two angsty conversations from Chapter 33. One is between Eddie and Bobby and the other one is between Buck and Bobby.
___________
Eddie
Bobby takes a few seconds and shuffles through some papers and when he looks up, he says, “Thanks Eddie and like I said out there, this won’t take long. I asked you to meet with me because first I want to inquire about your ACP and CCP studies. How are you coming along with them?”
“It’s going great and I’m almost halfway through the ACP course and my plan is to finish it by the first week of March and after I finish the final exam, I’ll start working on my CCP. I looked at the calendar and my goal is to finish it no later than the third week of April.”
“That’s great and thanks for providing the update. The reason why I asked is because I’m creating the March and April schedules but after speaking with Clarissa Felton, the Critical Care Paramedic Supervisor, I wanted to let you know your schedule will be slightly different from A-shifts.”
~~~
Buck
Since he hasn’t responded, Buck lowers his head and deeply inhales to steady his nerves. He didn’t want the conversation to go in this direction but now that they’re here, he decides to ask him the one question he didn’t want to mention but it’s all or nothing now so he goes for it. “Bobby, will you ever see me as someone who could be interim captain so that uh… one day when you retire, I can be promoted to captain of A-shift at the 118?”
He clears his throat as the words he’s about to say taste like ash on his tongue, “Honestly, no because I don’t think you’re ready.”
Buck feels like he’s about to jump out of his skin. His heart is racing, his chest hurts and his eyes are stinging because Bobby’s response felt like a kick to the chest. He rapidly blinks to prevent the tears from welling in his eyes because he refuses to let Bobby see him cry. He’s hurt in more ways than one and he never thought he’d be here in this place where the one person he’s always looked up to inside of the department just crushed his dream and at this moment, he’s 100% positive he’ll never be captain.
Why will Eddie’s schedule be different from A-shifts for his last two months at the 118? 😉
How will Buck respond to Bobby’s answer about him training to be captain of the 118? 🙃
“It’s going great and I’m almost halfway through the ACP course and my plan is to finish it by the first week of March and after I finish the final exam, I’ll start working on my CCP. I looked at the calendar and my goal is to finish it no later than the third week of April.”
“That’s great and thanks for providing the update. The reason why I asked is because I’m creating the March and April schedules but after speaking with Clarissa Felton, the Critical Care Paramedic Supervisor, I wanted to let you know your schedule will be slightly different from A-shifts.”
Buck
Since he hasn’t responded, Buck lowers his head and deeply inhales to steady his nerves. He didn’t want the conversation to go in this direction but now that they’re here, he decides to ask him the one question he didn’t want to mention but it’s all or nothing now so he goes for it. “Bobby, will you ever see me as someone who could be interim captain so that uh… one day when you retire, I can be promoted to captain of A-shift at the 118?”
He clears his throat as the words he’s about to say taste like ash on his tongue, “Honestly, no because I don’t think you’re ready.”
Buck feels like he’s about to jump out of his skin. His heart is racing, his chest hurts and his eyes are stinging because Bobby’s response felt like a kick to the chest. He rapidly blinks to prevent the tears from welling in his eyes because he refuses to let Bobby see him cry. He’s hurt in more ways than one and he never thought he’d be here in this place where the one person he’s always looked up to inside of the department just crushed his dream and at this moment, he’s 100% positive he’ll never be captain.
Why will Eddie’s schedule be different from A-shifts for his last two months at the 118? 😉
How will Buck respond to Bobby’s answer about him training to be captain of the 118? 🙃
