i was reading people talking about the bg1 npc project mod, which expands on the characters and adds a lot of new banter or romance, and this dude started to bitch and whine about how the writer for kivan characterised him, and this absolute gem of a person came in, started to dissect all his vanilla lines, his biography, everything, and picking it apart to say yes, the writer did in fact characterise him correctly, and did an excellent job of it. i feel so validated
