Can you explain some of the clone’s culture in the follow the light in you AU?

I think clone culture in my AU is little things the clones tried to hang onto from Kamino that maybe they hid from the kaminoans.

Like the remembrance tradition of scraps of flimsy or cloth or trash they could write the numbers of brothers who never heard of again, tossed into the sea. They changed that into the lantern ceremony once they had their own planet and home.

I think armor painting is definitely part of clone culture - something that is precious to them, as individuals, as commemorating accomplishments or survived trauma. That’s not something they share with just anyone.

Despite being free, the clone society is still regimented and very much centering around being soldiers — even though many chose civilian life, they still go to reserve training and such. They are still bred soldiers and many tried civilian life and didn’t like it/couldn’t change. So they go back to what they know.

There are songs that probably started on Kamino that carried on into free world that are uniquely clones. Just like the clones are the only ones to set the lanterns free on Festival of Lights.

I think a lot of stuff just had to happen after they were free because they couldn’t keep much under the sith with the chips controlling them. So I really think a lot of clone culture is developing as they learn to be free peoples making a place for themselves in the galaxy

I’m assuming you mean sys as in “system”? If not, I apologize in advance as I know this is a touchy subject for some, but I’m gonna answer as such.

So, as some Irok lore, a few years back, I actually had some system thoughts and I have an ex who was a system who- I guess convinced me- that I was part of one? (Never got officially diagnosed, never had the time nor the money to get it actually checked out); so, I’ve always kinda had a soft spot for system headcanons and as a Stan kinnie, I sorta project on him a lot.

Here I am, going on about three years later, and I never really gave it thought, but I can see Stan and Kyle both being part of systems. I don’t really know if I’m assuming this correctly, so again, to any systems reading this, I apologize if I’m incorrect, I’m just going by interpretation and what I was told by my ex (who was self diagnosed and who “diagnosed” me at the time).

For Stan

I could see alters being basically his alter egos

Stan - He/Him, Non-Binary, Demiromantic Bisexual

Raven - He/They, Non-Binary, AroAce

Shed (Toolshed) - He/Him, Demiboy, Biromantic Bisexual

And

Marshwalker - He/Him, Male, Homoromantic and Gay as fuck

And then for Kyle we have

Kyle - He/Him, Male (but in a “questioning if Demiboy” kind of way), Biromantic Asexual

Kyley (B), He/Him, Male (in a YEAH I’M A THE MANLIEST MAN WHO EVER MANNED way), Homoromantic Homosexual

Kite, he/they/it, non-binary, biromantic asexual

“King”, he/him, male, Homoromantic also gay as fuck

And they’re all dating each other’s respective alters, but like- all care for each member of their respective systems. They all kinda trigger the specific alter that they’re dating to front.

For example, if Kyley B is fronting you could almost bet Raven is going to be fronting for the day, it’s like a 90% chance. And if not, they don’t take any offense to it, they’re all just like “oh I guess it’s not [Blank’s] turn, oh well, I can chill with [whoever is fronting]”.

I feel like as far as roles go, it’s like

Stan/Kyle - Sys Hosts

Marshwalker/King - Gatekeepers

Shed/Kyley - Protectors

Kite/Raven - Trauma holders

And here’s my logic

Stan and Kyle are the sys hosts who spend the most time in front for obvious reasons.

Marshwalker and King are Gatekeepers for obvious reasons, they need to “protect the kingdom” aka the systems from all the demons (bad memories) and such

Shed and Kyley are protectors, and are most likely to front if Marshwalker and King don’t when- for example, Randy does literally anything. Randy is a big trigger, especially for Kyley, he goes OFF.

Raven and Kite are trauma holders: Raven for obvious reasons, heartbreak, Randy’s neglect, etc. My reason for Kite is he identifies as an “alien” because he formed out of trauma of just not being treated as human for various reasons (ie all of Cartman’s bullying/Gerald’s treatment toward Kyle/whatever torment Kyle goes through in whatever you all consider canon, I won’t name any particular events, but it all just jumbled into “am I even human?”.

Now as a reminder, it is my personal belief that system alters having individual gender identities and sexualities is totally valid, I know there are some people out there who disagree. And you know what? To those people: argue with the wall.

Also, AroAce is a spectrum and, as an AroAce person myself, I promise you, we are aloud to have partners too.

Now, as a bonus round, I would like to add that both systems land somewhere in the autism spectrum, personally I HC Stan with AuDHD and Kyle having some degree of autism. Respectively that’s throughout their systems too.

I also HC Stan as an age regressor, and before ANYONE asks, as in the COPING MECHANISM, not to be confused with Age Play the kink, I do NOT want to deal with that shit, age play is a big discomfort for me as someone who sometimes age regresses, please don’t come at me with age play, that’s nasty.

As mentioned before, Shed and Kyley are protectors and their respective partners tend to trigger each other. Kyley is quick to come out and protect Raven if he’s out, and Shed with Kite.

And I’m typing all of this at like 5AM so I REALLY hope I interpreted the question correctly; if I didn’t well, oops, but here is some Irok lore and some HCs for you.

Bonus:

Stan’s system refers to themselves as the Nevermore Collective, as a treat for Raven, and Kyle’s system refers to themselves as simply the Style system, since Kyle’s always trying to “stay in style” or whatever his queer butt is doing.

They both kind of have system thoughts in middle school but they don’t really look into it until Stan’s disassociation gets to the point where Kyle is just like “hey, if you get therapy, I’ll go with you” and that’s how they OFFICIALLY figure themselves out but like- They also always sorta knew that something was going on inside themselves.

As far as their parents go

Randy doesn’t know, and he doesn’t GET to know; Kyle’s system doesn’t want him to get into Stan’s (system’s) head and cause MORE damage up in there, because they all collectively know he’s not going to get it. He couldn’t even handle Stan’s general depression gently.

Sharon doesn’t fully understand it but after divorcing Randy, she’s a little better at caring more for her son, and she tries to understand it enough to give each alter some kind of love or whatever affection and attention they each need; Kyle tries to explain it better to her as Stan has a tendency to disassociate when it’s brought up.

Shelley is- Shelley about it. “Whatever, you’re all turds”, except if anyone ever gave her brother and his alters grief, they’d meet her fists.

Gerald - [no data here, Kyle’s not dealing with that]

Sheila - She doesn’t really believe it much at first but she tries to be supportive. As time goes on and as the different alters front from time to time, she starts to realize “oh. OH” and starts reacting much like Sharon does with Stan. It’s a little awkward at first but over time she gets the hang of it.

Ike - isn’t really bothered, but as someone in middle school himself it’s like “oh cool so I have more brothers or something?”. And Kyle’s like “…I think so?”.

And that’s all I got for now, I just came up with all this on the fly, because as I said before I haven’t thought about it TOO much, but that’s just how I see it going as someone who may or may not have been/be in a system?? I hope my answer gave some sort of satisfactory!

who is your favorite character second to Sideshow Bob?

Very tough question tbh- I really really like characters like the Italian Mob (the whole group, yes), Snake Jailbird... But if there is one character that makes me go "omg they're here look!!!" lately, it's Sideshow Mel!

He really grew on me as far I went on the show... I love his theatrical antics (just like Sideshow Bob, really) and he's super sweet and compassionate AND talented... He's so kind and he tries his best. What's not to like??? 🥺

I took ballet as a child because I was super clumsy and not very graceful. Don't give me a drink in a glass, because I'm going to knock it over. Or walking into things was the norm. Always had bruises. My legs always looked like someone hit me with a stick. Turns out because I've always had poor eyesight, that my depth perception was the issue. But you know, you don't figure these things out until you're an adult.

This a 2 for 1. lol I can't stand swimming but I was made to learn to swim at the YMCA when I was 9. I'm also terrified of heights. So diving off the small dive board in the deep end was just nightmare fuel for me. Reason: maybe this is a 3 for 1. Ha! I have sinus issues so being under water always made me feel like I was drowning. Then there's the whole 'I can't see' issue because, can't wear glasses at the pool. Oh and don't get me started on "why don't you wear contacts?". Erm, did I mention I have sinus issues? aka dry eyes. Yeah, it's that bad. Ok moving on...

I'm knitting the Vellichor top by Andrea Mowry at the moment and crocheting the fruit garden blanket by Jane Crowfoot. Just about to finish a granny square sweater by YOKOTA CO,.LTD. (DARUMA). I just need to seam it up and add the bindings. 🧶

Hello here to ask about Rel theories

So I’m not super well versed in league lore but I did some reading after arcane S1 came out. And the first time I was reading about characters from Noxas and saw Rel I lost my mind. I immediately wanted her to be Mel’s sister.

But do people have specific theories about her? I’d absolutely die if we got to see Mel have some sibling angst to rival Jinx/Vi

oh gosh oh gosh oh gosh, okay I'll see what I can manage to write down before i have to go play TTRPGs!

So like, in season 1 I was pretty critical of the Rell Medarda theory; as it seemed to mostly hinge on the ideas that Rell and Mel sounded similar, and that Rell similar to the Medardas was black.

But I have always loved it as a crack theory, because I think it would be a very amusing dynamic to have Mel hanging out with her punk rock little sister in her super fancy penthouse.

Then season 2 act 1 came out, and now a lot of pieces are falling into place. Rell was given to the Black Rose at a young age, and now it's revealed that Ambessa is entangled with the Black Rose, who iirc talks about her owing them something.

The Black Rose was interested in Rell because of her magical powers, S2A1 all but confirms Mel has magic - Though its also all but confirmed Ambessa doesn't.

Rell's mother gave Rell to the Black Rose in the hope of restoring her house to power, not to mention that she was very involved in Rell's training. One of the things we know about Rell's mom is that she drilled the phrase "excellence is measured in sacrifice" into her, which does feel like a very Ambessa thing to say.

So my theory is basically that Ambessa cuts a deal with the Black Rose, giving over her living super weapon of a youngest daughter, while still being allowed to train her, in return for her family's safety and return to power.

Given how much family matters to Ambessa, this feels like exactly the kind of faustian bargain that the Black Rose would be all over.

Also, Rell was supposedly briefly listed under "related characters" on the official lore wiki so do with that what you will.
