do you guys ever sit and remember that dennis takes a mental health day is an episode that exists
#ada speaks#i think i could probably recite the entire one sided phone conversation he has with daisy by heart and i havent seen the ep in months#i don't know how to explain it but#from what little ive read of ross' writing it feels like. when you click onto a fanfic and you feel immediate deep trust of the author#like it just clicks#the cookbook characterization specifically. is like.#i would put my life in your hands#and im sure we will get more eps by him and i really hope that continues because i think its been a very long time since the shows had#writers that i feel Get the characters in a way that feels effortless rather than. overcompensating.#like you can smell that writer's signature no matter how hard they try to cover it up with jokes and subversions#which isnt always a bad thing and im sure if we do get more maloney eps i'll pick up on his writers quirks too#but it doesn't feel like he's trying to copy anyone/pull from old eps it feels like he has a good grasp on things which makes it feel fresh#i find that long running shows hit a point where episodes start to feel less cohesive and more like. segmented short films#but if you have a really good group of writers and they find their groove its like. yeah. ok.#i think season 3 is a good study because marder and rosell's influence is all over the entire season#later seasons you can literally just. Feel which eps they worked on because its got a completely different vibe from the rest of the season#16 still suffers from that segmentation but#i think all the first time sunny writers (and nina's first solo ep) were all absolutely fuckin bangers and they've got a good team in there#anyway. characterization of dennis flipflops a lot. but the rest of the gang arguably gets it worse at times#i think megan's dee is the absolute worst aside from conor galvin's#and i understand wanting to write her as a girlfailure who is just. horrible. but.#ok. comparing self help book dee to ross' cookbook dee. i dont even have to say anything do i.#she's like. The Woman. in the self help book. and i fucking could not stand it. ross' dee is so perfect though#and his frank. MAN.#EVERYONE FUCKING RUINS FRANK.#i think marder and rosell's frank is a lot of fun because hes clearly based on marder's dad and acts believably#a lot of writers struggle to capture his. frank-ness.#he's sort of suffered from like. bland pervy senile old man writing for a long time#and ross brought back him actually being a competent businessman#IM OUT OF TAGS IM SHUTTING UP

hello!!!!
r Kelly was abusing women for decades before he got locked up
The subway sandwich guy was looking at child porn and abusing children before he was locked up
Harvey WEINSTEIN… what can be said about him that hasn’t been said but I know he did so horrible things before he was locked up
bill Cosby drugged and raped women before he was locked up and then set free due to a legal technicality
Roman Polanski raped a teenager and he’s still walking free
Dan Schindler…. Don’t even get me started with this guy but he’s horrible and I can’t look at the shows he produced the same way again
but sure this guy thinks it’s okay to make light of child molestation ?!?

I just hope that if they do bring back Seb that they actually don't talk about his vile mother at all. I stopped watching because of how Aaron was treated in that storyline and bringing back her child is like opening the gates to talking about her again.
I couldn't even enjoy any scenes with him in before because the entire time they were talking about Rebecca and it makes me feel so sad for my little fave Aaron. It's like Robert and Rebecca are the Main Couple and Aaron just the clinger on and it's horrible. Even if she's not in the show she's still there. Robert always put her feelings first because she's the mother of his child, even when she's being a complete vile person. I just want her wiped out and never mentioned again like the virus she is.
Losing Seb would be sad but at least it would draw a line under that horrible story and give Aaron and Robert a chance to have a family that they chose that can't be taken away from them, rather than having to work around her whims and demands.
I know you think he's the only good thing about that story but to a lot of us he is just a constant reminder, as the writers use him as an excuse to make scenes about her. "I can't he has to go back to his mums" "haha Rebecca said this when I dropped him home" "Rebecca doesn't want us doing this with him" etc etc etc even if it doesn't be to be said.
killing her off would be the bare minimum as long as she's not talked about. Aaron would'nt ever be a equal parent if she is alive, or even an equal husband in his own marriage. If Robert comes back with seb it would be exactly the same boring dad Robert who revolves around his son and his sons mother first. Which isn't robron. It's robecca featuring Aaron.
You don't have to respond to this by the way. Sorry.
I know I slept late today but did I wake up in 2017??
Sorry anon, I get what you mean, I used to feel that way too. Throughout rebecca's whole pregnancy I was like "how are they EVER going to fix this?? That baby will always be a reminder of The Incident." But then they showed Rob loving him and putting him first (instead of his schemes), and then AARON falling in love with him because he's Robert's and he loves Robert so he loves his son too.
And after she gave birth (which focused more on bringing Aaron back into the story than her having a baby) rebecca was an afterthought in her own kid's life. Seb was 'used' to bring robron closer together - with Aaron looking after him instead of spending time with his doctor boyfriend (🤣) - Aaron 'rescued' him when rebecca fucked off and nearly burnt Vic's house down, Aaron was the one to suggest Seb moved into the mill, and Aaron referred to himself as his stepdad/parent more than once ("This is about MY HUSBAND and MY STEPSON"). I'm willing to bet Aaron had more scenes with Seb (with or without Robert) than Rebecca did.
And after losing Rob, Seb was the only one who could put a smile on Aaron's face. He loves that little boy.
Tumblr media
And even if they don't kill rebecca off off screen... That doesn't mean she'll get mentioned all the time. I mean Ross is supposedly very much alive in off screen land, yet Charity mentioned him maybe once the past year? Jai NEVER mentions Megan and Eliza - not when he and Laurel got married (you'd think he'd want his daughter there, right?), not when Rishi died (he was Eliza's granddad too), David never mentions Priya and Amba (and they left pretty recently), Gabby never talks about Jamie, Kim never talks about the demon child Millie. Vic never mentions Seb OR Robert. (There used to be a picture of Seb in Vic's house but it's gone now.)
So long story short, if they bring back Robert (🤡🤞) I really hope they'll let robron raise Seb AND let them have that football team of kids they talked about (Seb needs siblings!).

Something I've been wondering since a lot of the older cats tend to get cast younger and younger recently - are there any performers you could plausibly see as "real" younger versions of those characters?
Anon, that is actually a super interesting question (and I hope I'm understanding what you're asking for; apologies if I misunderstood - if you are asking whether there are performers who have not played the role but played others and can get away with playing them, honestly I'm not a big proponent of having all super young swings and understudies, and I've spoken at length about that before), but there *are* actually a handful of performers of past (which means that they *were* young when they initially took the role and looked it) and present that I could feasibly see as younger (and by "younger" I mean like more in the 20s) faceclaims or "versions" of my beloved older cats (and that I often will note back too when I'm trying to picture them in my mind).
From what I have heard and seen of them, they also give off more of a younger vibe, either due to the lack of maturity in their voices, or their general dispositions, that I think works well as these characters but younger. Imagine a different bunch of teenagers and gapped teeth babies running around the Junkyard hollering at one another and whining at their parents before *they* became the parents, ahaha.
I can give you some of my favourites to avoid wasting too much space. I can do a Part 2 with Asparagus/Gus, Old D and Grizabella if you're interested:
Skimbleshanks:
Tumblr media
Matthew Gould (on his first go around; he aged into it much better the second go - Ross Finnie could technically also take this spot)
Tumblr media
Philip Bertioli (and this is a costume thing but his vest always looked too big for him which just amped up the baby vibe)
Tumblr media
Giovanni DiGabriele
Tumblr media
Hayden Baum (specifically his first go around - that is a baby)
Tumblr media
Tyler Keller (who looks *particularly* old photo like in this shot with the filter and expression - slap a black and white or sepia filter over that and tell me that's not an old photograph)
Tumblr media
Taylor Scanlan (also *very* baby and *very* pretty*).
(Others for consideration if these don't tickle your fancy: Sandy Rass, Sean McManus, Shaun Henson, Jon-Paul Christensen, Philip Comley, Dann Dunn, Brian O'Muiri, Billy Mahoney, Jarryd Nurden, Park Seong-ryong, Bryan Mottram
Jellylorum:
Tumblr media
Catrin Darnell
Tumblr media
Susan Powers
Tumblr media
Joanna Beck
Tumblr media
Lindsay Dyett
Tumblr media
Jeanne Montano
Tumblr media
Erin James
Tumblr media
Annemarie Rosano
(Others: Liz Izen, Louise Tomkins, Bonnie Simmons, Nina Hennessey, Marcy DeGonge, Jennifer Vaden, Thea MacNeil, Lisa-Marie Parker, Carrie Willis, Megan Arseneau, Taila Halford, and Alice Batt. S/O to Pia Douwes who toed the baby line, and nearly all Jellylorums in the Shiki production and a good chunk of the US Tour 5 who are and were - more often than not - quite young and look it)
Jennyanydots:
Tumblr media
Stephanie Johns
Tumblr media
Lisbeth Brittain
Tumblr media
Laura Darkins
Tumblr media
Lucinda Shaw
Tumblr media
Erica Leigh Hansen
Tumblr media
Ellie Nunan
(Others: Mary Trainor, Renée Knapp, Kati Farkas, Jennifer Cohen, Amanda Bay, Laura McCulloch, Melina Charles, Hanny Aden, Alice Redmond, Abigail Dever, Sarah-Marie Maxwell kinda sorta but tbh I think it's the makeup, Eloise Kropp, Maria Briggs - who is like elementary school Jenny -, Emily Jeanne Phillips, Ayumi Kato, and Megan Carton)

Goodreads Choice Awards but the nominees are just the books I've personally shelved
I have a lot of thoughts about the options as they exist (mostly not that bad, except when it comes to the total elimination of children's literature, about which I am furious), but per usual I can't really articulate them in a coherent way SO I sorted my shelves by publication date, ignored the GCA requirement of a minimum 3.5 average rating, and am doing this instead.
[update: oops this did not turn out coherent either. but it got typed!]
Important Reminder: These are not all books I consider equal contenders for "best." I simply wanted to highlight every possible option I actually knew about and have read or am interested in reading.
YA
After the Sirens - Sharon Farrell
Begin Again - Emma Lord (forgot to add this one before)
The Brothers Hawthorne - Jennifer Lynn Barnes (actual nominee and I'm gonna vote for it even though it seems like it may be more of a filler book. The Davenports is the only other official nom to intrigue me, and its lower average rating + hideous cartoon cover isn't enough to flip me unread so sorry, we're going Basic Popularity Contest Pick)
Cleaning Up - Leanne Lieberman
Five Survive - Holly Jackson (definitely not a winner)
Gather - Kenneth M. Cadow (edit: National Book Award finalist?? like with the adult fiction??)
Good as Gold -- Candace Buford (definite contender for fave so far)
Holly Horror - Michelle Jabès Corpora
The Island - Natasha Preston (lol. lmao even. but ridiculous fun)
The Lake House - Sarah Beth Durst
A Long Stretch of Bad Days - Mindy McGinnis
The Renaissance of Gwen Hathaway - Ashley Schumacher (here on author loyalty only)
Three Rivers - Sarah Stusek (THAT'S RIGHT. HER.)
Summer Rental - Rektok Ross (why am I this aware of brand-new ya horror??) (because I love horror and it's usually better paced and spookier and less shock-gory than the adult brand? fair)
YA FANTASY / SCI FI
Dream to Me - Megan Paasch (I think it would go here, anyway. but maybe it's just regular YA)
The Eternal Ones - Namina Forna (I gotta remember this series exists)
FANTASY
Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries -- winner winner pick!! (no like officially)
Starling House - Alix E. Harrow (though this is a close second, and honestly, if they weren't both actual nominees I'd think The Unmaking of June Farrow has some potential intrigue)
ROMANCE
Hazel Fine Sings Along - Katie Wicks (no comment on its Wattpad origin. I didn't notice until just now. have not read it.)
Famous For A Living - Melissa Ferguson (popular enough for Once Upon a Book Club! but not for for an official nom, despite my hopes, in this fiercely competitive category. boooo)
Out On a Limb - Hannah Bonam-Young (damn I actually saw this one making rounds on BookTube, thought it might be here)
Something Wild & Wonderful - Anita Kelly (can't believe there's actually a queer romance I want to see show up and it doesn't)
(Bonus: legit nominees I am considering for validity include Happy Place; Yours Truly - I really need to figure out if Emily Henry and Abby Jimenez are in my wheelhouse or not - and Hello Stranger, though as much as I like Katherine Center this one does not call to me)
FICTION
This Bird Has Flown - Susanna Hoffs (might also have been under romance if picked for the actual GCA? feels more mainstream than that but idk. anyway HATERS 2 THE LEFT.)
^ also my pick for debut
The Lost Manuscript - Mollie Rushmeyer (dunno which category this would officially go in either. probably romance? maybe mystery? but it's got a lot more plot than the average romance)
HISTORICAL FICTION
The Echo of Old Books - Barbara Davis (holy crap this one's actually in the nominations?! Instant vote. Almost disappointing because there are some other candidates I would have felt fine voting for to block the worse ones, but this is the only one on my acute TBR. If I don't give at least 4 stars I will be shocked)
MYSTERY/THRILLER
Forgotten Trail - Claire Kells
The Hike - Lucy Clarke
The Only One Left - Riley Sager
Homecoming - Kate Morton (crisis alert! the latter two are both official nominees and I am equally interested in both/both have equally good track records with me) (probs. gonna vote Kate on the principle of female solidarity. even though this is really stretching the definition of "mystery")
HORROR
A Haunting on the Hill - Elizabeth Hand
(How To Sell a Haunted House is a hard maybe but also the only one I think I'd even consider trying from the official noms)
MEMOIR
Paris: The Memoir - Paris Hilton
The Woman in Me - Britney Spears
Grimoire Girl - Hilarie Burton Morgan
Tell Me Everything - Minka Kelly
If You Would Have Told Me - John Stamos
Goodbye to Clocks Ticking - Joseph Monninger (forgot I just stumbled upon this one recently! it's on my library list but not my GR account)
and one more except GCA put it in a different category hang on
Three of these - not Burton's, alas - are actually nominees. Britney is gonna win but not without a fight from me. Do I go with Paris, whose memoir impressed me even though I still don't care much for her as a person, or Minka, whose memoir I haven't read but whose reviews sound excellent and whom I like more?
HUMOR
Being Henry - Henry Winkler (there is absolutely no reason for this not to be nominated in memoir btw. I hope it wins Humor because nothing else appeals in that category and I have multiple vendettas (SAMANTHA IRBY), but it would be as misplaced a win as the Office Ladies book was last year. fully deserving of an award! actually the best of the given nominees! but also like an adult beating a bunch of children in a footrace.)
MIDDLE GRADE
(no longer a GCA category but it fudgin' should be)
Just Gus - McCall Hoyle
Falling Out of Time - Margaret Peterson Haddix (actually glad I don't have to choose between these two because like. dogs - but also boy MC - or author loyalty ft. sequel to my childhood fave??)
Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen - Geri Halliwell The Spice Girl (no. 😔) (and yet it is still on my shelf)
I have no strong opinions for any categories I skipped.

Help me, Booklr, you're my only hope!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Updated 5/10/23: I found yet another small stack and added it to the list.
These are all the BOTM books I own. The intent when I signed up for BOTM back in 2020 was to try and read out of my usual comfort zone of Urban Fantasy (and the occasional fantasy book). My success with this challenge has been minimal — I started a couple of these books but ultimately didn't finish them. It wasn't because the books were boring, however. I was enjoying the couple I started, but I just ended up falling out-of-the-mood to read them.
The biggest problem I'm facing is just where to start with this massive (and ever growing) stack. Every single one of these books sounds amazing and interesting to read, but... I don't where to start! So I'm turning to you, members of Booklr, to help me choose which of these books to read next! These are stacked in no particular order, but for anyone that's having difficulty with images loading or can't see the images, here is a list for you:
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo*
Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo
A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross
Outlawed by Anna North
A Good Marriage by Kimberly McCreight
The Only Survivors by Megan Miranda
The Dating Plan by Sara Desai
Home Before Dark by Riley Sager
Like A Sister by Kellye Garrett
The Space Between Worlds by Micaiah Johnson
The Verifiers by Jane Pek
The Book of Cold Cases by Simone St. James
The Survivors by Jane Harper
Reckless Girls by Rachel Hawkins
The Bodyguard by Katherine Center
Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Raybourn
The Family Game by Catherine Steadman
The Stardust Thief by Chelsea Abdullah
The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins
Breathless by Amy McCulloch
Girl, Forgotten by Karin Slaughter
Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney
Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance by Ruth Emmie Lang
The London Séance Society by Sarah Penner
The Wilderwomen by Ruth Emmie Lang
Darling Girl by Liz Michalski
The Writing Retreat by Julia Bartz
The Last Word by Taylor Adams
The Last Flight by Julie Clark
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
Half Sick of Shadows by Laura Sebastian
*This copy of Ninth House is not a BOTM book, I included it in the stack because it's the first in a series.

Saturday Morning Coffee
Good morning from Charlottesville, Virginia! ☕️
Tumblr media
This weeks post is going to contain a lot about politics and the upcoming Presidential Election here in the good old USofA.
I wouldn’t be surprised if you skipped reading but I just feel the need to talk about it, not that it’s going to change anyone’s mind.
I’m still blown away by the response of half of voters. People actually want a nation run by a psychopath who wants to run the country into the ground. Who wants to punish his political enemies. Who is a fascist.
I voted yesterday and I was so happy to cast my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I hope you do the same.
Megan Lebowitz • NBC News
Thirteen former Trump White House officials signed an open letter backing up former Trump chief of staff John Kelly, who told the New York Times that Trump fits the definition of a fascist.
Not surprising, at all. There are not enough people screaming at the top of their lungs “TRUMP IS A FASCIST” on a daily basis.
We all should be.
Chris Walker • truthout.org
In response to the owner of the Los Angeles Times decreeing that the paper would not be endorsing a candidate in this year’s presidential race, Mariel Garza, the editor of editorials for the Times, has resigned from her position.
The LA Times owner is fearing for his papers and his existence in a potential fascist Trump government. This is, ultimately, a cowardly act and plays right into the fascist playbook.
Ross A. Lincoln
The Los Angeles Times has lost two more longtime editorial writers, the latest in a growing exodus to protest owner Patrick Soon-Shiong’s interference with the paper’s planned endorsement of Kamala Harris, TheWrap can exclusively report.
More fallout from cowardly publishers.
William Lewis • Washington Post
The Washington Post will not be making an endorsement of a presidential candidate in this election. Nor in any future presidential election. We are returning to our roots of not endorsing presidential candidates.
With moves like this Fascism takes root. Encourage folks to vote for Democracy you cowards! 🇺🇸
Dustin Bluck • Castro
The network request has gone from 49% of our time to 19%. But I’m pretty shocked to find out that with the improved networking speed, now 20% of worker time is spent in the active record connection pool. That can’t be right, what is happening? Taking more traces reveals this was actually an outlier on the lower side, most traces are spending 25-30% of all time waiting on an active record connection.
Great piece on some small changes that lead to big wins for a little Indie Developer.
I’m a longtime Castro user and the recent changes to the client app and the backend have been a welcome sight. It’s moving forward again! 👏🏼
Scripting News
Why hasn’t the NY Times run a story that takes Trump at face value and explains to voters what it would be like to live in that United States? It should have been updated and run every time Trump ups the ante.
Fear. This is why the papers are being chickens.
Om Malik
Why does every podcast have a six-minute lead of proverbial throat-clearing, self-promotion, and advertising?
Of my favorites a few just start with the hosts going right into it. I don’t need to be introduced to the hosts, I know who they are, I subscribed to the podcast to begin with. 😃
Juli Clover • MacRumors
Disney is no longer allowing its customers to sign up for and purchase subscriptions to Hulu or Disney+ through Apple’s App Store, cutting out any subscription fees that Disney would have needed to pay to Apple for using in-app purchase.
This is big news. Not giving Apple their cut is what every little developer would love to do, but it’s the Big Cos who can afford to try it.
This move fits into Apple’s current rules around streaming apps, like Netflix. You can’t mention how to sign up from the app — which is a dumb rule — and you can’t link out to a help page that describes how to do it. How’s that for a good user experience?
I’m really interested to see how this works out. 🍿
Manton Reece
It’s odd how many developers in the fediverse don’t know how Bluesky works.
I don’t really know how it works. I understand the TL;DR version and I think it definitely has legs, but will any other instances spin up to prove it out or will it just be a single silo, like old Twitter was?
Apple Security Engineering
Private Cloud Compute (PCC) fulfills computationally intensive requests for Apple Intelligence while providing groundbreaking privacy and security protections — by bringing our industry-leading device security model into the cloud.
More on Apple’s cloud infrastructure for their new AI platform. I still haven’t read the entire piece but thought I’d share it for the geeky readers since this is a politics heavy post.
Kelly Crandall • Racer
Hopefully, NASCAR, Netflix, and viewers are better prepared this year because Bell is on his way once again. Bell has smoothly advanced through the first two rounds of the postseason without much attention. Sunday, he started the Round of 8 from the pole and led 155 of 267 laps at Las Vegas Motor Speedway before finishing a disappointed second.
Christopher Bell is in my top four. I’m not sure if he’s the one, but he darned sure stands a chance to win it all. Unless tragedy strikes I’d expect him to lead laps in Phoenix for the Championship at the very least.
David Pierce • The Verge
For the last eight months, David Cogen has been living a double life. By day: a YouTuber and creator, the face of TheUnlockr, reviewing phones and testing ebikes and explaining how food smokers really work. By night and morning and every single other available moment in between: a coffee shop entrepreneur, working to get a Brooklyn spot called Coffee Check up and running.
Kim and I have often talked about opening a coffee shop but it’s really difficult to run your own business, I’ve tried and I’ve succeeded and failed at it. 🤣
But, there’s something about a coffee shop that feels right. It’s about the community as much as it’s about the coffee.
The coffee shop in Exeter we were regulars at was a place where everybody knows your name and the baristas were friends.
Ernie Smith • Tedium
Today in Tedium: Deciding on a content management system is a bit of a dance. You often have to deal with dozens, maybe hundreds, of pieces of existing content. You want it to be easy to manage, able to talk to other technology tools. Plus, you want to ensure you understand what you built, so you can actually fix it—or reach out to a friendly community. That has been a big reason why the mess with WordPress has been so frustrating.
If you’re thinking about driving your blog or website using a CMS you should give this piece a read. Ernie has gone through the paces so maybe you don’t have to. In the end he lists five options to consider, each with pros and cons.
Most bloggers don’t need much and a CMS can be overkill for us. Others need more so a CMS may be just what the doctor ordered.

Expend4bles cause carnage in the latest, Red-Band Trailer!
Tumblr media
Get ready for the new Expend4bles Trailer! The idea behind The Expendable is quite easy: put all of the biggest actors from the 80s era into one movie, have them blow a ton of stuff up, and the result will be a nostalgic action-packed hit at the box office. The trilogy was a huge financial success overall. At the helm of the story is Sylvester Stallone, as he takes on the character of Barney Ross, a mercenary equipped with one of the best teams in the world thanks to Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), and well, the list goes on and on and on! It’s their job to do the jobs that the military and Government don’t wish to take on directly. https://youtu.be/Cm3Z1jEjHHc?si=V7NfWQPA6WhkJnu0 Throughout the trilogy, you'll see more legendary actors from the 80s joining in to help Barney, such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, and even Chuck Norris! On the opposite side of this, the three movies have seen some really fun “bad guys” that acting-wise, are also from the same era. You've got Jean Vilain (Jean-Claude Van Damme), Stonebanks (Mel Gibson), and James Munroe (Eric Roberts). All of them bring heavy action to the franchise in ludicrous ways. With cheesy action and a bucket load of one-liners, The Expendables captured the attention of its nostalgia-seeking audience right from the start. With its release in 2014, it’s been almost a decade since the release of The Expendables 3, after the third outing didn’t make as much at the box office as predicted, a follow-up didn’t show its face immediately. Finally, Sylvester Stallone found the right moment to return with this Avengers Assemble of action movies under Expend4bles! Alongside familiar faces such as Jason Statham & Dolph Lundgren, we are once again getting new recruits with this latest installment. Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, 50 Cent, Andy Garcia, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, and Levy Tran round out a stacked cast. With a September 22nd release date, the latest Red-Band trailer teases action, so much action, that John Wick himself would be proud. With ‘Can’t Stop’ by the Red Hot Chili Peppers playing in the background, it’s clear that The Expendables ‘Can’t Stop’ causing utter carnage, with seemingly, every weapon ever made? With the trailer focusing on its huge cast and R rating, it looks like fans of the franchise will find a familiar comfort in the final result. Also, we have to applaud the perfect tagline, “They'll die when they're dead”! The film is supposed to be the last Expendables trip with Sylvester Stallone, as he is hoping that Jason Statham will be able to carry the story forward. With Jason achieving a stack of action-packed hits for his own CV over the years, he is a safe bet. So, what do you want to see from The Expend4bles, and is there a certain actor from the 80s that you’d like to see make a cameo in the movie?   Read the full article
