During my clinical rotations I always carry little booklet and pen in my white coat to jot down main study outcomes or updated precentages from latest studies on the matter we are currently discussing. Today I decided to go through my notes before I started my 'chapter of the day' .

I was on colorectal service, so I got to scrub in on lots of bowel resections. But also got to sneak into a few vascular cases too! The hours are incredibly long and my body is sore everyday! But thanks to Netter I’m getting through the pimping part! 💉Pro Tip💉 When preparing to scrub in on a surgery it is always good to know the blood and nerve supply to that area! Knowing the layer that are being cut through is also very helpful! Familiarize yourself with the anatomy of the area that will be operated on, as the majority of the pimping questions come from that. P.s. Clementine skin turned out great for practicing delicate vascular sutures! 🍊

Much better option than banana skin in my opinion. Monofilament suture is not that sticky to hold afterwards, therefore it's easier to grasp it with gloves.
