Bow For Your Queen (Story of Love and Betrayal)

Being a wife and mother would have satisfied me.  I suppose being a General and a queen will be a good alternative.  Now I’m off to conquer the land ruled by the one I once loved, and I assumed loved me.  When did it go so wrong.  I admit it didn’t start great.  I was a 12yr old Tom boy and him a mid–twenties prince.  Our marriage was simply political.  I had a closer relation to the squirrels that I fed in the courtyard.  As I grew into women hood, I became very beautiful, at least by the standards of most people.  I find beauty in the art of combat.  The art of war.  So, I'd rather practice my sword play, but I was forced to trade that in for a kitchen knife.  The sharpness is fine, but the items I cut leave much to be desired.  They don’t even let me join the hunts; I simply wait for the meat to be layed on the counter.  Fine, I was a team player, I’ll play the role of the wife.  And hell of an actor I was, some would even say That it was real.  Even I thought it was real for a moment.  But little did I know of the star performer I was acting next to.  The prince (well now king) Came around more often once I was of age.  I mean the flower had bloomed it’s only natural that he wanted to take a view.  

The King was quite charming the more we interacted.  And so, I fell deeper and deeper into my acting role.  We held another official ceremony and even had kids.  2 boys.  My life was a happy one and I rarely thought of anything besides my loving family.  Then it all started crashing when a new adviser came to aid the king, my husband.  A petite man, quite handsome, but much too feminine for my liking.  My husband seemed to enjoy him though.  He enjoyed him a bit too much.  And that man, Hugh, was much too ambitious.   Soon Hugh and my husband were spending every waking hour together.  Much to my annoyance, Sure I was busy with the boys, but it would have been nice to have their father around.  But his favorite boy took all his time.  We argued more frequently even though our time together became less and less.  We even slept in different quarters.  Times when I was out for a late-night stroll, I would catch a glimpse of Hugh entering his quarters.  I’m sure he took great pleasure in their late-night business meetings.  My aid told me they would last until the next morning.  I’m surprised at the vigor he still had at his age.  Whatever, I’m content with being a mother to my boys.  As I said I'm a team player and it seemed my acting has not rusted a bit. 

I’ll be your queen in public and estranged in private.  But it seems that wasn’t enough for the two of them.  They conspired to kick me out of the kingdom.  Me!  The star of the show.  Hugh didn’t like my face and my husband; he was no longer fond of my parts.  But this is how I came out of the factory.  And I didn’t come with a change of parts.  They forced me back home, my eldest brother now sitting on the throne.  He knew of the situation as we often exchanged letters.  I was fine just being a mother.  But my son is a prince, and he will be a king.  And that place started as a strange land, but now it is my home.  So, unfortunately, I couldn’t let them take that away.  Who knew the art of war, was like riding a horse.  You never forget, after a month or so I felt in top form.  It is truly amazing how fast you can pick things back up.  It is also amazing how quickly someone regains their love for you when there’s a saber across their neck.  I guess those late-night meetings with Hugh didn’t discuss military tactics.  I wonder what they spent all that time doing.  Well, it doesn’t matter anymore.  Hugh is imprisoned and my husband has a very important role tomorrow, it involves a guy swinging an axe.  It should be a great climax to such a good acting career.  After everything that happened.  I learned a few things.  Being a wife was good.  Being a mother is Great.  But being a Queen, now that’s perfect.  Oh, I still haven’t mentioned my name.  Sorry this actress is called Isabella and my surname.  Well, it doesn’t matter anymore now does it.

-The scientific name for Pumpkaboo is "Ligna Candela" which roughly translates to "Candle Wood"

-Pumpkaboo are pretty out there on the evolutionary tree, but their closest relative is Phantump due to both originating from spirits that hid in plant-based objects

-Like most ghost types, early Pumpkaboo could've easily been trapped spirits. But, most modern Pumpkaboo aren't trapped spirits due to breeding

-Surpisingly, unlike many other ghost types, Pumpkaboo don't steal the life force of anything and instead will eat bugs or rodents

-They're crepescular, waking up in the evening and stating active throughout the night

-Pumpkaboo mate and lay their eggs in autumn. They carry their eggs for about 2 weeks before laying them in Pumpkin patches, where the eggs will take about 3 weeks until they hatch

-Pumpkaboo eggs are small and resemble pumpkin seeds. This is to help disguise the eggs from predators

-Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist communicate with each other by using their headlights. They use their headlights for almost all form of language when with each other, making them very silent around one-another

-Their headlights are also used to attracts bugs. Many bug type pokemon are attracted to the light they give

-Pumpkaboo sleep by digging a hole and leaving their lower half under and keeping their top half out. These are called pumpkin beds. Pumpkin beds can be recreated by giving them a lot of blankets to burrow in

-Pumpkaboo actually shed a lot. It's important to brush them and keep their fur from getting tangled

-Pumpkaboo are hibernators. While they sleep with half their body in the ground normally, when hibernating, they submerge their entire body into the ground

-The tradition of carving pumpkins from Halloween originated in Laverre city, and was because of Pumpkaboo! They believed that carving pumpkins that resembled Pumpkaboo would ward off evil spirts and bad luck

-This one is a bit dark, but in Medevial Hammerlocke, Pumpkaboo wrre seen as "spirits of death and misfortune," and many people geared them. In order to ease the fear around them, people started hunting Pumpkaboo and displaying their corpses around. This evolved into turning the corpses into Halloween decorations. Luckily, it went out of practice. But, the displaying od Pumpkaboo corpses did introduce Galarians to Jack-ó-lanterns that weren't made from turnips (Galar has some horrifying history sometimes...).

-There's a Galarian fairytale saying that Pumpkaboo was originally a stingy human who died and was turned into a Pumpkaboo as his punishment

-While Pumpkaboo prefer to live in forests or in pumpkin patches, some Pumpkaboo have been known to live in caves (the Lental region has a lot of those Pumpkaboo). This breed of Pumpkaboo often have darker colors and sharper edges
