Apparently in ringneck doves blond and white were the only two colors available in Europe for centuries. Neither of which are wild type...

It's too bad though because dun is my favorite color. Though non-wild bay is another of my favorites. The black legs and mane and red coat are so striking!

It's such a shame that most chickens are white though, even if white is pretty. Gold duckwing is such a beautiful color! Wild type is my favorite in many species. Sometimes nature does it best.

I guess that also goes to show how much cats are an outlier among domestic species. Yes, breeds exist but the majority of domestic cats are moggies. And many are black tabbies.

In poultry, while meat ducks are in fact white, I think ducks and pigeons are the only species I can think of where you can find wild-color specimens no matter the size. Especially pigeons. Many pigeon breed standards aren't too picky about color. Blue bar is accepted in most breed standards, and is the most popular color in many of them.

There might be regional names for the different “shades” of dun, so if you happen to have heard them be called a different name, it might be down to that. For example, I’ve seen bay duns be referred to as mouse duns from time to time.

The difference between the upper two is a bit subtle, I hope you can spot it nevertheless

it also doubles as the one place for Arcana to send all the Manus members that are MUCH too troublesome and volatile to keep close, but much too useful to get rid of. Venison and the rest of Spina Venatores are introduced in their own event, "Underbelly of the Unforgiven" where all main characters are related in one way or another to arcanists Vertin has met, to really drive home how she can't save everyone and how some people, instead of being sifted out by the storm, will fall victim to Manus Vindictae

I imagine Venison later shows up on the main story to try and make up for their failures during the event, but Arcana abandons them to their luck on account of now being useless to her - so they go a little deranged about it and attempt to side with the Foundation instead, but Vertin shows up like HEY. HEY DONT DO THAT, CONSIDER ENTERING MY SUITCASE INSTEAD

so the Venison in the pictures above is the much, much, much more calm version since they're actually getting some good exposure therapy to healthy mindsets in that suitcase <3

Hey help me shame my housemate who always uses his Italian and German ancestry as a bragging right in the kitchen even though all he really does with it is argue for storebougt bratwurst over storeglbought hot dogs, and also brag about how good his family lasagna recipe is while only ever making store bought frozen lasagna or pasta from a box.

Introducing my Meatsona, Flarak Vern, a Venison Flank Steak. they were cut from a deer who lived in the woods near a rural town in Michigan.

Currently they live in a deep freezer. They aspire to be a nice dish, maybe with a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus, but they fear that they'll go bad before they have the chance. These people aren't ones to waste food, but Flarak fears that one day, unbeknownst to the people, the power will go out, and they and all their brethren will spoil in the night

Animal breeding is so disgusting!!! As an antinatalist who firmly believes bringing a new life into the world will do nothing good for them or anyone else, I do NOT AT ALL support the breeding of any animals, farmed, wild, or domestic. Taking a job as an animal breeder has gotta be one of the most EMBARRASSING jobs ever. Imagine getting paid to bring a new life into the world, letting it experience all of the cons of living in this hellhole, they don't have to exist and suffer the pain of being hurt, scared, sad,_ hungry, or thirsty, but us humans are so selfish that we don't care about that, we just want cute fullbreds instead of taking care of the less fortunate animals in desperate need of help. Thousands of animals get euthanized everyday, but nah us humans don't care well keep breeding animals for our own selfish annoying ass desires its a fuckin kink at this point. We love to say how much we love animals and dont want them to get abused while simultaneously not even taking in strays, adoptees or pound animals and instead consciously choosing That's... Definitely something. Why do people love breeding domestic animals instead of just adopting their own, giving it a much better life than the one it endures in a cage, confined and unable to do much, inducing depression and sadness. I do support euthanasia because it is a painless and peaceful way to die, and I believe humans should have their version as well to prevent a painful and stressful death. I hate people so much, why would you bring a new life into this already suffering planet just so you can have the sake of giving your dog an offspring or getting a fullbred or having a baby animal??? Literally just adopt an animal from the pound or shelter you can actually HELP lives instead of tending for new ones that don't even exist yet like fuck this I'm out man
