I’m sorry but are you trying to say that Jk being shy was one of the reasons why that felt different? You cannot compare Jk attending calvin kleins event with him walking on a red carpet with thousands of fans attention on him with cameras. Those are two very different scenarios. When he attended the calvin klein event, it definitely wasn’t the same vibe. the was put on the spot plus it is possible that he also felt self concious because of his hair because we did see him touch his hair a few times like he was fixing his bangs.

I am not saying that this invalidates what you feel about taekook and whatever relationship you think they have but i feel like y’all are making the dream premier into something that it isn’t. To so many taekookers, the dream premiere was a statement of sorts because of how shy Jk was and because taekook wore queer friendly clothing but those are not things that are exclusive to taekook. Pay attention to all the bts members and you notice that literally all of them constantly wear queer friendly clothing. Plus so many times i see taekookers invalidating other ship outings because of the presence of company or staff so what is the difference with this one? Yes it wasn’t a company event but the company cars and company staff were still present true or false? Same as when they went to Harry styles concert in seoul. Tkkrs called that a taekook date but Jk was literally seated there with Nicole a bighit staff and after the concert, tae went back home in a company car and we saw Jk hopping behind with a few staff and nicole. Wasn’t this still chapter two? Their free time? Yet the same company that many taekookers claim usually keeps taekook apart were the ones driving them to and from their “dates”? Even during yoongi’s concert, taekook literally came together in a company car and left together in a company car. (You know the same company that has apparently been separating taekook for years and who taekook were finally free from in chapter two.)

My point is that, i think taekookers are being hypocritical because you dismiss everything that your rival ship does in the name of “the company was involved” but when the company is involved in things that your ship does, you don’t use the same logic. If the company being involved invalidates one pair, it should invalidate all. And you are saying that it doesn’t matter that taekook came in company cars and went back to their respective homes after but it does matter because that is what we do know. Everything else is pure speculation. You saying that Jk was probably shy because he was there was his boyfriend is pure speculation. In this case you are ignoring what we do know and are focusing on what you suspect or how you interpreted their actions.

Didn't see this ask until recently. You said he was "self-conscious" about his hair when JK mentioned that he likes long hair. If he didn't like his hair long, then why did he grow it during their hiatus? Both events had thousands of people and cameras on them. You even said those two events are different. The CK event was JK doing business and promotion. The Dream event was them attending the event as guests of PJS, not an official schedule. Yes, BTS members have worn queer clothing in the past, but again, some of those were during photo shoots or during a schedule. The clothing by Taekook was during personal time, none schedule time.

Company cars, sometimes it's easier for them to get driven by company cars than them driving their own cars. For The Dream Premier, they were driven there. No, I didn't see staff from the company accompany them. The bodyguards were IUs bodyguards. Can someone correct me if I'm wrong? The same goes for Yoongi's concerts. All the members got driven there, but again, no staff or cameras followed them to and from the venue. They came together and left together. Company staff was present at the concert because the company and staff had to be there. Yoongi, not Taekook. The Harry Styles concert, yes, staff and bodyguards were there to protect them.

You say I'm hypocritical, and I'm speculating and invalidating other ships, but you're doing th exact thing. If you can't see the difference between company content vs. personal time while using a company car, then nothing I say will change your mind about my ship. You can see all these Taekook outings as nothing special than that's valid. But myself and other Taekookers we see the validation in their outings and their relationship.

I really wanted to share an idea with you, because I’ve recently seen a post here on tumblr about an analysis of Leon’s canon injuries.

So besides the numerous concussions (poor baby) he definitely has *scars*, on his thigh (RE4), on his shoulder (RE2) and more.

I was thinking of a scenario where, while making love, reader kisses all of his scars because he’s beautiful like that and he deserves it so so much… telling him sweet praises and whispers because he’s gone through so much… and I’m imagining older Leon because he’s literally lived through all of it lol

maybe I’m just a hopeless romantic but I’m imagining this as very emotional, like this man has never gotten the gentle love he deserves:( makes me want to cry.

it also makes me kinda sad because I really want capcom to give him a break and his happy ending, but now there’s rumors of resident evil 9 and how people are really expecting Leon to make an appearance. Like I would LOVE to see more of Leon, I really would, but capcom makes him suffer soo much PLEASE give my man a break. So I don’t know how I feel about him possibly being in re9, and all we can do is wait until 2025 probably :’)

This may sound a bit strange & sorry if it's a bit rambling. But I feel the western pop industry has traumatized so many BTS fans. And, I think that it may influence some of the (unfounded) fears about JK becoming arrogant. Like with the hysteria around the hiatus bc 1D; I think people see what happened to young talented Justin Bieber becoming somewhat of a muscular, tatted up ass hat or ultra-talented Justin Timberlake leaving his members behind & project that onto Jungkook. Though, they completely disregard all we know of him as a person & his experiences. For example, Bieber was thrown into the industry at about the same age as JK but as a soloist while JK has had his hyungs to support/direct him.

Not strange at all, you might be right. When I came into this fandom (having had no experience with kpop at all) I hard a really hard time understanding how this fandom works. It’s different from what I was used to in other fandoms. For instance, the somewhat separation of K army and I army. You don’t find that in fandoms from western artists much. No matter which country you come from.. you’re all just fans. I can imagine to K army the addition of international fans was… tough? It’s not weird to feel kinda possessive of your artist (we all feel possessive of BTS kinda), so I think that and the wish of international fans to be part of army caused International army to adopt some of K armies standards, which are different from western standards when it comes to dealing with artists (note that I say different and not worse). To me that would explain why army as a whole has a somewhat negative view of western artists. And also.. to me it felt kinda fresh to see less ‘show’ and more bizz, because western artists do in general come with more ‘fakeness’ (though I’m not sure if that’s the right word for it). In general the bigger the artist the bigger the pr operations are. We don’t want that for BTS. And I can understand that army now sees Jk work with these American producers, who all talk about him like he’s some kind of k pop messiah who is going to conquer the world, and think… please let Jk stay our Jk. So you might have a point yeah.

Not all western artists are arrogant though and I think we can trust Jk in handling himself. He is not new to the industry. He’s met the bad and the manipulative people already. He’s going to be fine.

Fellow The Betrayer lover here 👋 I’ve really gotta say that it’s such a piece of art. Absolutely no pressure, but purely out of curiosity, as I really cannot wait for more: any updates?

And yes I am working on chapter 10 of The Betrayer in tandem with chapter 4 of Half-Life! My goal is to finish Half-Life chapter 4 first and put it on hiatus so I can jump back into The Betrayer for a bit.

Summer is always difficult for me to write because although I’m out of school, I go to visit my family and I rarely have a moment to myself whereas I have a lot of alone time and privacy in my own home. I unfortunately struggle to write when I’m not in a certain headspace, on top of being in a very over-stimulating environment (surrounded by young, loud, and quite clingy kids lol).

I’m getting somewhere for both upcoming chapters, but they’re both gonna be long. My longest chapter I’ve ever written (chapter 9 of The Betrayer, I believe) is nearly 14k words, and I truly think chapter 4 of Half-Life may surpass that. Chapter 10 of The Betrayer is probably gonna be around 15k words if I could guess, cos I’m only a quarter into the plot of the chapter lol.

I know it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted any of my fics, but life has been insane for me lately (though if I’m honest, it always is in one way or another lol).

But I’m quite attached to both The Betrayer and Half-Life. I truly believe that they’re some of my best writing, and I am so proud of how they’re coming along despite the gaps between posting chapters.

For any of my Madness is The Color Green fans, I plan on editing it heavily and will hopefully work on it again too!

I wish I was more prolific than I am, but it’s hard for me to write a lot quickly, especially considering some personal life stuff going on. I also tend to go through times of writer’s block which sucks and is disheartening when many of my stories have very involved plots with lots of references to previous chapters, consistent and/or evolving themes/motifs and character development, and trying to maintain a specific tone throughout the whole story.

Sorry for the essay, I like to talk a lot 😂

Side note, though:

I was thinking of releasing some teasers for both The Betrayer and Half-Life to give y’all something while I slog through the rest of them!

🔮 taking up tarot reading and journaling (i’ve finally embraced my destiny of becoming “that” astrology tarot ho lmao)

🏠 been working on setting up our house and learning how to be a functioning home owner (what is lawn work, i literally don’t know how to use a lawn mower, send help 😥)

🐞 I also FINALLY caught up with Miraculous Ladybug. my soul is calling for some season 4 fanart 💖

drawing has been hard, ngl. i don’t know if it’s because i burned out, or because i got too busy, or felt like i forgot how to draw after a while, or maybe didn’t feel inspired/motivated (maybe it was just all of the above) but picking up my tablet has filled me with this feeling of inexplicable fear and dread for the last couple of months especially.

i’ve finally managed to pick it back up a couple days ago to start sketching and doing warm-up drawings and i’m feeling a LOT more like myself now for the first time in months. i would love to come back to drawing and sharing art/chatting with you guys again 🥺

So I did the whole ‘where I’ve been and how I’m doing’ post on Patreon a week or so back, and now it’s finally time for the Tumblr Version, in bullet points for your benefit!

1. Where have I been:

Well, like, still here. But just….I don’t know, not motivated. I moved in October (big yay!) and we got ourselves the puppy, both of which are great and also big life things. Do you know what no one tells you about raising a puppy? It’s like raising a baby. But WORSE. Babies can’t bite you or your furniture or destroy an entire $20 toy the second your back is turned—at least so I’m told.

And yes, I knew this going in and I still had much to learn, lol. Non stop sleep deprivation from nightly poop runs and lack of energy due to constant puppy supervision is a real drag on the old’ creative engine.

Is it worth it though?

Yes. Oh yes.

So 2. How is the puppy?

Great! Cloud took a long time to learn to sleep through the night but honestly he was otherwise an angel to deal with. Never had many accidents indoors, loves every dog and person he meets and is my girlfriend’s dog’s best friend. He’s now fully housebroken, sleeps through the night, knows about ten tricks, and mostly leaves the cats alone. He’s 6mos and a massive hunk at 54lbs and is the absolute best boy ever. Just the dumbest, sweetest, most obedient kid on the block. I love him and he’s my son, and I am his Dad.

So yeah, he’s doing great. You can even follow his Instagram @forecast_of_cloud where I am a huge Best in Show Dog Dad and post nearly every day.

3. Why haven’t I been posting here?

Well, aside from the puppy madness as described above, I have been going through several different creative and emotional journeys, and, as usual, have been totally unable to articulate any of them. Despite writing words being…y’know, the thing that I do.

First, Supergirl ended and that was kind of a wake up call in a way. I didn’t know what else to write once it had finished. I had existing ideas and I wanted to finish them but then….what next?

I’ve been writing fanfic for almost five years now, after a long hiatus from my teenage years, and it’s been wonderfully cathartic but ultimately I saw it originally as a means to an end: to get myself writing more original work. But that’s scary. Honestly, it is. Fanfic is so safe—you can rely on that framework of someone else’s plot, even a barely sketched out one, to hang your own design on. Writing your own work? Hard. Much harder. And no one cares as much as they do about your fanfic—with good reason! It’s harder to break into something you don’t know about.

But lately I have this feeling like I need to try. I’m not done writing fanfic (I still have to give Arcane and Yellowjackets a shot!), and i’m not done writing Supergirl—I just think my priorities have shifted in a big way. And it took me a long time to come to terms with that.

In addition, I found myself feeling more comfortable on the masc side of the non binary world than I ever expected, and the growth and change from that has been huge.

Luckily I have a lot of support and love in my life to help me along that way. ;)

Which brings me to 4. How are things in my relationship?

J is a wonderful partner and she’s been the main cheerleader for my original work. She is fierce wit, morbid humor, a devilishly good dress sense and a warm little weight on my chest all wrapped in a lacy package that smells of lavender and Yves St Laurent Black Opium. She cares so much about my well-being, both as a person and an artist, and she’s also supporting me in my masc journey by gleefully dressing me up every chance she gets. In return I make her breakfast almost every morning and rub her back every night. We make a beautiful pair of symbiotic creatures. I am a shrimp and she is my goby and we danced to Frank Sinatra while putting up our little Jewish Christmas tree and squeezed each other’s hands while singing along to Hedwig and the Angry Inch on our theatre Valentines date. It’s love, baby. What more is there to say?

So that’s the news from Asptown, where the women are beautiful and the men aren’t cis! I hope you all haven’t missed me too much. I’ll be posting more regularly and i’m STILL going through my messages so just hang in there with me if I haven’t got to you yet. It’s a good thing to be so well regarded, even if it can be overwhelming. I appreciate the heck out of you all. ❤️
