I’m gonna have a nerdy rant about video games please excuse me (zero escape spoilers)

K so my fave game series I’ve become obsessed with is zero escape, aka a weird bullshit series where the fandom is both small and dead as shit. Yay. And I just finished the last game, zero time dilemma. I wasn’t initially gonna play this game just cuz I heard it was kinda bad, but the ending to vlr had me curious. Plus it had Junpei in it and, well, I think he’s neat :)

But aaaaaaa

Yeah it was bad. Ill go over the good things though. I thought the escape rooms were like challenging without being toooo challenging. They were a good medium between the 999 and vlr puzzles. I liked them. I also really liked the D team a lot. Luna was one of my favorite vlr characters so it’s kinda natural I liked Diana a lot too. I also thought Sigma and Phi were really good in this game. I wasn’t to crazy about either of them in the second game but like. They’re cute in this game. And even though they’re "getting together" situation was kinda iffy, I think Sigma and Diana were cute together. The only valid het couple in this series. I’m kinda indifferent about the whole twist where Phi is their daughter. I don’t hate it, and I think it was cool how it was foreshadowed in vlr, but I think it makes some dynamics weird. Personally, I think Sigma and Phi would have a better siblings relationship but eh

Now let’s get into the bad, even though there’s so much that I physically cannot go over all of it. Idk where to even start. First off, the art style and designs had like no heart. Like everyone has interesting designs (one might even say too interesting) in the first two games. In ztd though, everyone was boring as shit. Junpei went from cool Marty McFly trans king to emo middle schooler. HE WAS LITERALLY IN JUST A BLACK SHIRT AND BLACK JEANS GOD. I’m gonna save him for later though. I’m just disappointed. Also the art style was bleh. I thought it looked nice on the cover, and I was also really excited cuz I read that there were "animated cutscenes". Y’all. Ugh. The cutscenes ended up being like the whole game. I was just watching it all go by and I couldn’t skip any dialogue without accidentally skipping important stuff. Not only that, there was no heart in it at all. I’d argue that the 3D models looked better in this game than in vlr (I’m personally not into how they changed to 3D but that’s a rant for another day), but the models in vlr had GREAT emotions! They had zero emotion in this game. I hated it. Thankfully the voice actors were able to add emotion but damn

Next is the characters. Needle to say, I didn’t enjoy most of them. I liked everyone on D team, the end. First of all, freaking Carlos. Talk about boring. Like god maybe I would’ve liked his design if he wasn’t wearing the button up and also maybe wore like any other pants aaaa. Also like hm. He uh, sure liked his sister. In a concerning way. Like it wasn’t a super obviously bad thing but every time romance was mentioned he’d be like "I don’t need romance, I have my sister!" Do you see what I mean? It’s sketchy to me.

Then we got Eric 👺👺👺. I hated this guy. First off he’s like a ripoff of Kristoph from frozen, without the fun himbo personality. And the whole time he was thirsting after Mira which ughhhh. They were worse than Junpei and Akane in 999. Maybe I’m just too gay for this shit but ughh. Also it was a thing that was pretty well established thing that his father was abusive but like. It didn’t really...mean jack shit? Honestly nothing about Eric’s character mattered, he was pretty irrelevant. Also he was super super shitty to Sean who was literally a fucking child

Then Mira. How disappointing aaaagh. Like they were literally just like "oh here’s this chick that has committed murder, this isn’t relevant at all :)". Like damn they really just had her be completely unnecessary huh. It was super obvious to me that she was the one who killed Eric’s mom and I thought that would’ve come up but. It just didn’t. I was also curious about their relationship in general since it seemed like she only got with Eric so she could kill him. And god they could’ve at least done something like idk. Make her like Dio and break into the game to cuz trouble. Or she could’ve been zero. Maybe that’s lazy but it would have been better. But no they literally did nothing with her. There was a timeline where she brutally murdered Junpei just like, for no reason I guess??? Jesus

Sean and Akane were characters I’m just meh about. I didn’t hate Sean, but I didn’t really like him either. Akane was never really my gal in 999 in the first place so hm. I think she’s funny but she’s done some sketchy stuff and idk I’d probably like her better if the games weren’t always trying to put her with Junpei every five minutes

Then there was Junpei. Ughhhh. They were trying something but ughh. He was very emo and kinda douchey and I just wasn’t into him. Which is a massive shame cuz I liked him a lot in 999, and especially in vlr. Like all I can say is that it’s a real disappointment for me

Now onto plot holes and things that didn’t get covered that should have. As previously mentioned, they didn’t do anything with Mira at all. They also didn’t properly go over Sigma and Diana’s relationship that Sigma had vaguely talked about that happened in another timeline. Carlos’s sister was not important at all and they threw in some "she’s got the mind abilities" bullshit in without really doing anything with it. The timeline shit made my brain turn into goo aaaa. We dont get closure on how the pandemic was stopped, which was the reason I played this fucking game. We didn’t learn jack shit about the third nonary game. And then of course, there’s fucking DELTA

This filled me with so much rage y’all. The game was just like "oh yeah btw there was this random old man who was just there the ENTIRE TIME that never got acknowledged ever and he’s the big bad villain of the game. Not just that, he’s the founder of the crazy cult from vlr. AND he’s Diana and Sigmas kid!" Like wow you know I don’t think words can describe how bad that was. I think things would’ve been better if he just like wasn’t there yeah. Also I guess he’s supposed to be like, the player cuz he mind controls the characters into making certain choices. Ugh. IT WAS SO STUPID MAN. And I guess the only ONLY reason he made the second nonary game was to make sure he was born which is just eghhhmm. That is too messy for me. That’s some bad time bullshit. And weird reason but okay. God

There’s literally so much more I have to say but if I don’t I’m gonna pass out so I’m just gonna take a nap and die. Moral of the story is that I’m pissed a series I loved ended so shitty and don’t play this game unless you hate yourself. The end

The OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) in FF7

This thing actually caught my eyes while reading a few theory about FF7R and the word OCD appear in their certain analysis, in IG, youtube comments and some posts in tumblr too. Dunno why but they always relate Biggs with OCD. I looked back to the scenes where Biggs appear and... Okay, i understand why they thinj Biggs has OCD or perfectionist

A lot of people, including the psych students themselves easily confused with OCD and perfectionist (I got confused by it quite often too). Now, is Biggs OCD or is he just a perfectionist? Let's take a deeper look at it

Biggs is not a famous character. So fans dont really care about him, but I do

Disclaimer : i'm not a psychologist. Im an intern and still studying. Psychiatric is not my major field but i got assigned there as an intern for quite a time and we got exposed a lot about psychology too. We didnt learn them professionally like the real psyche students, we learned (and still under training) through real life experience + a little bit from the books.

So there might be wrong interpretation here and there. Pls correct me if I'm misleading u. And pardon my english. Pls dont use any of these terms to diagnose urself. Remember, I'm a student, not a professional.

I kins of blame the social media for portraying OCD in such a nasty way, when someone with OCD is actually suffering inside.

OCD is not just about 'clean clean, must clean this place till squeaky clean' and OCD is not about being perfectionist. OCD and perfectionist are two different thing.

Perfectionist is more to a demand demeanour, eg "I want the cake to be like this. I want it to be pink. No, not that pink, it must be neon pink with slight purple. Do it again. No, i dont want that pink. Do it again. Ahhh yess, nice pink." Someone with perfectionist, after they got their result, they will immediately bcome calm and satisfied. Perfectionist is obviously different from OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder). OCPD falls under Personality Disorder and it is different from OCD. Im not going to talk about that

Look at how OCD got spoken from the media perspective. It is very much resemble to Biggs, dont u think? In reality, someone with OCD always feel stress about everything around them, and they will find it hard to complete their task.

OCD has two components - Obsessive and Compulsive

| 1. Obsessive. It is a repeating thoughts about something and often occur until it makes someone feel stress about it. Eg, u think that ur hand will get bacteria infection if u touch a chair, door, fridge or when holding someone's hand. This thought always appear in ur mind everytime u touch the door, chair, fridge or somebody's hand, but when u touch ur shoes, u never think about the bacteria (in certain cases, some patients become scare of everything they touch)

| 2. Compulsive. It is a repeating of the same actions to fulfill the 'obsession' in order to reduce the stress acted upon them. Usually the 'action' has a specific ways in which the patient believe he has to do it like this or that way or else he will fail. Eg, after touching the chair, he will immediately wash his hand 10x from left to right. He believes the hand washing wont be effective if he starts from right to left

Another sign of OCD is when someone re-checking the door lock few times. Its normal for us to re-check once/twice the door lock for confirmation, but for people with OCD, they will re-check the door lock for about 6-10 times and still not feel satisfied and later they stress out. And also the OCD people, they tend to get annoyed when something is not in particular order and they will immediately fix it eventhough they know they're wrong.

I met a funny woman at the hosp arranging our students' books according to its thickness, when I asked her why did she arranged our books like that,

She replied : "Doctor said I have CDO"

Me : "Sorry, CDO? Never heard of it"

She : "It is actually OCD but I feel so stress hearing that term so I put it in alphabetical order. CDO, much better"

We both had a good laugh. Her case was not serious though, but she was feeling miserable with her thoughts and decided to meet a psychiatrist. I would say she was still in early stage for someone with OCD, but may lead to severe if left untreated

It is really hard to satisfy and convince someone with OCD and they always feel stress about something they shouldnt care too much about. U can say OCD is a fastidious type, and they're actually more than that

If we want to relate this condition with Bigg's case., urmm. The only time where I can spot him being different than the other characters is when he's busy sweeping his front house and when he pat Cloud's head during the Sector 7 plate fall.

The cleaning stuff isnt exactly weird thing for a human to do. But it is something odd, I mean, he just finished his mission with Jessie and survived a jump from the plate, and yet he still have the energy to sweep dry leaves, AT NIGHT! He can wait till tomorrow though and should get himself a proper rest.

Wedge says Biggs has a habit of overthinking stuff

And there we see Biggs sweeping the dry leaves. It might be because he is trying to distract himself from doing his bad habit - overthinking. But urm , i think there'll be higher chance for someone to overthink when doing house chore like Biggs is doing. This is where lots of people say Biggs cleaning the house at night is bcause he has OCD or he's a perfectionist.

But I dont think thats the case. For real, he is completely normal. No sign of him acting weird in that scene. If he really does have OCD or he's a perfectionist, we'll see more of him arguing with Barret about unnecessary stuff. He cant become one of Avalanche's strongest member (not exactly strong, but hey, he's trustworthy). Also, if u notice, Biggs have one earring on his right ear. Someone with OCD will feel irritated by it bcause his ear doesnt look 'balance'. OCD people, even in mild case, they want everything about them to be balance and in good order.

After trying to understand Biggs way of thinking and style through his short screentime, I strongly believe this guy has no such thing as OCD or being a perfectionist. Biggs just cares tooooo much about his friends, he thinks 10 times ahead from the bigger picture in which it frightens him about the bad consequences that will occur to people he cherish.

He is the type that always have a back up plan in his mind. He thinks of 5 possible bad things and comes out with 10 solutions. That's the power of an overthinker like Biggs I'll tell ya

Biggs probably cleaning his front house area at night bcause the next early morning, he will need to leave his house for the bombing mission. Better take care of things the night before the big day. He can ditch the cleaning work but he wont do it, not bcause he's a perfectionist/OCD, but try to imagine this, if ur front house is full with dry leaves and rubbish, it will be unpleasant for the neighbours next to ur house to see. Living in the slum means higher chance for u to get sick if u dont take care of ur surrounding hygiene. Biggs is a kind man, and I believe he doesnt want to upset his neighbours

He probably has overthink this matter like "If i dont do this now, I probably dont have time for doing it tomorrow. Maybe I'll broke my leg from the mission and this trash will be left untouched, then there'll be high chance for the children around here to get sick. What if they get infectious disease bcause of this dry leaves? And then the parents will be worried and the Sector 7 Slum will be in chaos etc etc. Time for plan A. Let's clean this place"

Besides, remember the post where I mentioned about Mental Health First Aid? Biggs, as the side character gives the best MFA to Cloud even without knowing what Cloud had gone through. Biggs is just toooo kind with his friends, he cares too much causing him to overthinks about his friends conditions. He can notice even the slightest change in his friend's behaviour and with his own instinct, he cheers for them

Aww man, how can u not love his personality? He's the sweetest side character ever (and kinda hot too).

Soo as the conclusion for my post here, Biggs does not have OCD. He's a side character with a big heart who cares tooooooo deeply about his friends that leads him to overthink too much.

However, if the devs say Biggs really has OCD then my statement about him will be invalid. I'm sure they have put everything in a very close detail look.

Btw, I personally think Biggs kind of portrays the other small side of Cloud, the overthinking part for their romantic partner. But Biggs express his worry through words while Cloud express it through his actions, eg - like how he always keep an eye on Tifa. He never speak it directly like "I'm worry about Tifa, I must help her", he just simply be with her either she needs a help or not. While Biggs clearly says "Jessie been acting weird, I should go if she needs any - help -"

Action speaks louder than words but sometimes our eyes failed to listen.

History3: MODC Ep 1 Commentary

Hao Ting and his group of friends are hilarious...OMFG Hao Ting’s freedom spiel was *mwah* and him trying to get money from his friends lolololol

Wait...what is this hetero kissing and sexy times - in the health centre/clinic?!?! Hahahaha future BF caught them!

Xi Gu...boy you adorable but you’re a toooo skinny I could snap you like a twig. Obviously, him coming to see the school’s doctor is a regular occurrence which is very concerning. I wonder if the actor is naturally that skinny or if he lost some weight to play the role?

Sad to hear that Xi Gu doesn't have any friends, I hope that it won’t be long before Hao Ting’s friends adopt him into their circle...that and I hope it doesn’t take long for Hao Ting and Xi Gu to get together.

Maybe it’s my long history of watching BL dramas, but I am immediately suspicious of the girl that Hao Ting is dating. I hope I'm wrong about her but we’ll have to wait and see.

“I would prefer to sell my body than my brain” oh Hao Ting, all over a game console (also the mother and sister sitting on the couch casual eating while Hao Ting and his father fight is the best thing I’ve seen so far)

What’s with the twins being mean to Xi Gu?

So the girl wants to use Xi Gu to make Hao Ting jealous?

I like to visual contrast between Xi Gu and Hao Ting’s situations: Xi Gu along in a small room apartment while Hao Ting lives in a house with his family.

The one (Good) twin being logical and sane throughout the whole ‘Xi Gu is trying to steal Hao Ting’s girlfriend’ misunderstanding and rooftop fiasco is giving me life. I see hints that this twin will become god friends with Xi Gu.

Xi Gu’s boss asked about Bo Xiang! He interested! Again we stan supportive friends!

Of course, Xi Gu didn’t meet Hao Ting at the school gate he has to earn money and study.

I wish I had a boss that understanding but also, calm the fuck down Bo Xiang there are a million and one explanations for what you saw before you get to ‘they’re dating/ together’ explanation. The boy needs to take chill pill.

Overall, good 1st episode for the series, we get to see where most of the characters are at before the story begins. Can't wait for next week 😀

some avengers endgame Thoughts cause i saw the movie yesterday and can't stop thinking about it

of course..... spoilers ahead

nebula and tony playing!!!! i just love how nebula's personality comes through without it being ooc

also... nebula carefully sitting tony up. she Cares so much :(

steve immediately going to tony :( like im a stucky kind of gal but holy shit i love them

which was completely erased in the next scene where tony drags steve up and down and after that passes out, which is a confrontation Mood

i wonder how they made tony look so skinny and sick. if it was cgi then i applaud them cause it looked so good

the way they killed thanos so fucking quickly here... i don't know how to feel lmao. like cutting the gauntlet arm and then slicing his neck... that's what we were all screaming at them during infinity war. it's good to see them learn from their mistakes, i guess ?

(can't remember the order in which things happen from now so forgive me if i make a mistake)

i told my sister "that's one of the russos!!!!!" so it took me ten seconds to realize that the russo was the gay character everyone was talking about (i thought it would be fury for no other reason than it being shocking and fury having very little to do with the plot, but)

and steve being supportive of that :( man out of time said gay rights!

carol's new hair!! holy shit!!!!!

rocket insinuating carol has been experimenting with more hairstyles... i would like to see it

don't think i missed that carol x rhodey nod. i support it.

don't wanna say it now... for now ill just state: i love what they're doing with natasha in the movie. she truly feels like a friend to steve. like that small gesture of her sliding the plate towards steve is just so domestic and beautiful! it really makes her feel so human and complex at the end. i was so worried about her being wasted but i loved her throughout the film

it was a fucking rat who got scott out. i have to laugh.

also is that the guy from that old "gayyyyy" meme????

cassie is all grown up!!!!!! i can't even imagine how hard it had been for her

also the place they live in is so cozy and that's what he deserves

thinking about the whole clintasha conversation really foreshadows the whole thing. natasha cares so deeply about clint and really puts his needs before hers. it's so beautiful to see

i think the hulk/bruce scene was kinda endearing but then the ant man banter dragged on for toooo long

the dab i YELLED. these poor kids have to stand this man on 2023 pulling out 2016 trends to appear Hip and Cool

jeez now i can finally say it: scarjo shined so fucking much on this movie!!!! her delivery was amazing, i really felt a connection between her and the avengers, it really showed her growth during the five year time jump. she fucking killed it. she did her best and she's the best black widow we could've ever gotten.

clint mourning her :((((( probably the third time i cried during the movie

thor's panic attack being used for cheap laughs was the most uncomfortable moment for me... or any scene where people only saw thor as Fat and Lazy (basically, two thirds of the movie)

the freya + thor reunion was so sweet though!

okay. okay. hear me out. tony was on a very serious mission to regain an infinity stone. and the first thing he does is check out steve's ass. and aknowledge how glorious it is. i couldn't believe what i was watching!!!!!! like that actually fucking happened. consider me a fully formed stony bitch.

and scott joining in to say it was "america's ass" ???? poetic cinema

so it's canon that everyone checks out steve's ass and appreciates it as a national treasure. that's all i never thought id needed.

steve saying "hail hydra" i YELLED. it was a nice nod to the whole "cap is a nazi" mess

and steve fighting himself... hot

using his bucky trauma to shock himself is :/// but also :((((

i loved that for one moment i knew everyone on the theatre was staring at steve's ass

and steve being appreciative of his own butt!!!! ok that's all i have to say about steve's ass

i loved the reminder that thor was still kinda goofy back in avengers 1, for everyone who says taika completely changed his character. and the little tony + thor moment was adorable

"howard..... potts" i can understand tony being a mess but how did howard not suspect of anything??? elevator lady took one look of steve's face and all of her alarms started ringing

peggy carter... ive missed my wife so much

did peggy marry souza. i hope she did. steve tf are you doing staring at a married woman (jk)

clint kicking the stones away as soon as bruce is done with the snap is the biggest mood

also... the hell was scott looking at that made him think it had worked? just... more birds outside? i was really curious

okay. i kinda saw it coming. i saw thor leave mjolnir behind and i thought "oh????". and then the shock of thanos being able to wield stormbreaker. and then fucking mjolnir moving!!!!! i was the only person in the theatre who yelled

but seriously!!!! steve wielding AND fighting with mjolnir!!!!! couldn't stop thinking about it all day!!!!!!!!! STEVE IS WORTHY!!!!!!!

parallels to thor going for the chest. it never works babies!

and just.... this was steve's moment. steve i-can-do-this-all-day rogers really fighting with every ounce of his body and soul against the most powerful being on earth. justice for him getting knocked after touching thanos for one second in iw!

and steve getting up again! all dirty and wounded!! trembling with exhaustuation and resolution!!! with his broken shield on his arm!!!! just him facing the biggest army of the universe!!!!! so powerful

sorry to destroy this epic moment, but like, okay. people had been reintegrated to life like, twenty minutes before. and i understand that they were all confused and out of place. but sam really needed ALL that time to just... try to communicate with steve????? ok

the "avengers..." *brings mjolnir with one hand while bracing his shield with the other* "assemble" moment was... oh my God. chills all over my body.

that One Moment where steve has stormbreaker on his hand... so fucking hot

the tony and peter reunion holy shit. the hug was everything i needed! like please just hug tony stark for ages

and tony and pepper fighting together!!! that's a power couple right there

i felt it when quill looked at gamora and just... stopped. im so sad his moment was played for laughs when it was obviously such an important moment for his character

thanos was so fucking scared of wanda that he put his own troops at risk to stop her for a little while. strongest avenger right there!

and carol coming back!!!! i was like

i felt so relieved at that point. i was like "yeah thanos is fucking over what's next"

no need to talk about all the women coming together to defend peter :')

thanos getting the gauntlet again... the nonono chanting came back

fucking CAROL trying to stop him. looking at him with such a determined face, like "you can't stop me from stopping you". it was so powerful he had to snatch one stone to stop her

and strange giving him the one finger to tony.... i knew what was coming holy shit. i knew it. they knew it.

tony really proved himself there. it was his best scene on the entire mcu, don't argue with me!!!!!! the way he stood there and took all the power of the stones, unmasked, unaffected, powerful and almighty

"i am... iron man" cue to ugly sobbing

tony knew there was no other way. pepper did, too... she knew exactly what she had to tell him. she was right. tony spent all of these years moved by selfishness first, then fear, then guilt. an endless battle since thanos was on his head. but the war was over. what mattered was that he saved everyone, and he sacrificed himself for everyone. a complete 180° from last movie's ending.... wow

gotta said... peter there felt a little bit out of place for me. i think it would've been more powerful if he didn't say anything, though peter is a teenager, i can get it

his arc with steve felt unfinished, too. i would've liked to see steve's reaction as well, since tony had told him he wanted everyone back and also for his family so survive. but whatever

im not against tony killing thanos instead of gamora and nebula but i would've liked if we saw them react to his death, at least:/ like a little parallel between nebula's reaction at the beginning and the end of endgame

bucky Knew what steve was going to do. i wonder if steve told him before or bucky just sensed it

valentina gomez - seamstress. tbh a BIG people pleaser... so much so that she isn’t quite sure which parts of her are really her and which parts arent. her parents divorced when she was 23 which actually ended up turning her world upside down more than it SHOULD’VE considering how old she was. but she always idealized her parents relationship as “goals” and it was like... nah man they’ve been lowkey separated since she was in middle school, they just stuck around for her. she’s a bit of a Disaster but has HIGH mom friend energy. she just really really needs an eat, pray, love moment because this bitch is so damn lost in her life and doesn’t know who she is, it’s such a problem

imogen shain - flower shop owner. i call her my “normal oc” because she has no “tragic backstory” and such like the other two. though val’s isn’t “tragic” but you know. she’s got direct interests in psychology and botany. her house is like one big ass garden tbh and if val has mom friend energy, imogen has grandma friend energy. which is absolutely a thing now! she has a BIG fear of failure though, like REAL big and any little hint that may even suggest that she’s failing in something breaks her down so she works REALLY hard. she doesn’t want to lose her flower shop at all and will do anything to keep it going !

leo flores - incubus ! he was a pretty bad person, he got into wild shit... did some illegal stuff... probably killed a person. it was all the life of drugs and alcohol and what not; he was with bad company for most of his life. for the last 5 years, though, he met a boy named kris li (another oc) and he fell in looooove. for the first time !!! and basically, he and kris were together and kris was helping him get his life together like he was sober and all that shit. buuuuut in that 5th year, leo’s old life caught up to him and he was in a “car accident” (he was murdered). right when his life was getting good!! and he had his true love and everything!! so anyways he dies and ends up iiiiin, you guessed it, hell!!! his punishment?? being an incubus! why was that his punishment?? because he’s back on earth! and everyone sees him as this attractive fellow EXCEPT kris!! who sees him as a grotesque older man!!! the love of his life is right there and he cant be with him at all! anyways, fast forward a couple of years like 10??? kris dies. and goes toooo, you guessed it, heaven! kris was a good guy! and now leo, the incubus demon, is trying really hard to make it right with god so he can possibly make it up there to be with kris. but praying makes his head hurt and going to church makes his entire body burn so !!!! he’s trying though, lord please see that he’s trying!!!

kris li - i JUST spoke about leo so i might as well talk about kris !! kris is a dear sweet boy. tbh he’s a lot like imogen in the sense that he’s had a “normal upbringing”. he went to college and got his degree in english literature and was basically an inspiring writer. he was able to finish a novel before his untimely passing (he was about 36-ish?? when he passed???) but tbh he was such a model Son and Person its disgusting dfjnfj but tbh he clearly had a thing for Bad Boys and wanted to Help Out which he ultimately did with leo. but tbh he met leo through a party that he like was invited to tbh and like, didn’t even know too much about leo’s shit until about a few months in but they were already slipping into this lovefest tbh kris just was like, okay well you gotta get out of that situation and what not. after leo’s death kris was so fucking devastated. but he like... he was able to push on and then was in a brief relationship for some time until that fell through and then his life fell through and now he’s in heaven just !! up there !! tbh he was lowkey hoping to see leo but he hasn’t yet because he doesn’t know that leo went to hell and was that one really grotesque old man he met like Once.

I got tagged twice by my lovely hufflepuff grandma rae ( @shakespeareandsprinkles ) and my new fanfic obsession T ( @wherestoriescomefrom ) Yay!! I’m doing both of them together because then I don’t have to think up 11 more questions to ask! Also scroll to the end you two, I’ve got questions for you. Here we go :

▪If you could be a mentor to any fictional character what character would it be? Right now, the first name off the top of my mind is Caroline Forbes from TVD. Lordy what a pitfall her character took when the writers at the helm changed. Her especially because she is just soo giving to all those in need, even at the expense of her own hopes and dreams and aspirations, despite them not realising her worth. I’d like to be there to remind her that sweetie it’s okay to take a step back for yourself. Prioritise yourself. ( this has been the main reason for me not watching the show past s4). Or Draco Malfoy.

▪Do you prefer listening to music with headphones or without headphones. With. Once they’re in, I’m dead to the world.

▪What’s your favourite childhood memory? Ooohh. Ok so what I recall right now is me and my sister playing our own version of LARP when we were kids in our apartment. Like nothing extensive or over the top but exciting nonetheless. We would use mum’s old satchels and handbags to use as backpacks and arm ourselves with tiny water pistols, lunch, bandaids, pellet guns and banadanas for the chosen story of the day. A recent memory is of a few years ago with my younger brother(we have a larger age gap between us). He had asked me to teach him how to do a handstand and/or headstand. Younger me didn’t know how either so we looked it up. What then, out came the pillows to secure the area, my brother was 6 or 7yo at that time I think, and both of us trying to stay upright with the help of the wall, with our shirts slipping down our faces. I remember I kept falling sideways on him as he was beside me not on purpose i swear , maybe because I was older and heavier. idk why my body went sideways when I lost balance instead of front, but it was funnier because it irritated him too, and that’s always a plus. We had finally gotten the hang of it and so when our cousins visited in the following weeks, my brother was eager to show off his skills. So there we were 4 of us, in the spare room, a 3×6 spread of pillows along the longest wall (we have lots of pillows) around us, trying to latch ourselves to the wall because we had the stupid idea of competing on who reached the other end of the wall while doing a handstand and failing miserably because we kept laughing so hard. 😂that was a good day.

▪If you were the protagonist of a novel what would your story be about? Lol I dunno. A gothic novel where I’m the ghost with strange predilictions scaring away people who dare tread in my territory without an adequate compensation of salty-chips with unexpected bursts of MUSE soundtracks in the background.

▪Tell me about your favourite thing, without actually saying what your favourite thing is. …zzZZzz… (as an overworked student, this is a treasured entity)

▪Do you think that in the future we’ll have flying cars? With the advances technology has been making since the last century? Most definitely.

▪Would you rather be a mutant than an Inhuman? Mutant. And powers could be like Betsy or Rogue (but w/ control pls) or Gambit

▪What is something you’d like to do in the future? Travel. Cliché I know. But yeah.

▪You can travel between fictional universes. What are your first five stops? Hogwarts. Doctor Whoverse. Not exactly fiction, but a world where I’m a wandering fly on the wall and P&P is taking place. Storybrooke. PJOverse.

▪If you could name an animal, what would you name it? I had fishes named Velma and Daphne and a chicken named Henry. I don’t think you can trust me with nomenclature

Ok so I had to look this up because I only vaguely remembered reading about this. Tbh I dunno..maybe? I feel I haven’t read enough about the whole situation to make an educated guess. Butttt…sure, why not? Uhh if i had toooo…The brontë sisters lol.

▪Preferred methods of torture Ahem. I sense a common subtext here. But speaking from experience….eating nachos with cheese dip or cream-and-onion chips right in front of them relishing every bite but not sharing(on brother), playing JB out loud (on me) and clicking the pen continuously and periodically in a silent room(on sister)

Which afterworld myth/legend/belief would you prefer?Oblivion. The idea of suffering even after death seems scary. Though reincarnation sounds cool. But only if you remember your previous lives. I’d like to remember if I had been Medusa once and used to stun people by my appearance;)

▪Part of you that you don’t want touched. Or can’t bear to have touched The sides of my abdomen. You know, the place people target for tickling? I literally cannot bear it, I have trouble breathing if someone pokes me there or tickles it. Other than that, my cheeks. I mean it’s basic knowledge that one doesn’t poke the indentation of the dimples of a grown ass person. RUDE

▪Favourite Book. Pride and Prejudice. The first classic I ever read. Shall always remain my fave.

▪A character that really fucked up big time and you want to hold them by the shoulders, look them in the eye and make sure that they understand they fucked up.That’s….oddly specific. There are countless of them. Randomly choosing…Draco Malfoy? John Watson?

Do you like your reasoned existence of misery or would the animal life be a blessing. Definitely our reasoned existence. An animal’s life seems tempting when the going gets tough, but I’d never trade this state of conscious for blissful ignorance permanently.

Panipuri. Though I now eat them on a lower extent, I used to love them when I was younger.

Everything I have to say about Sherlock at this point (including some unpopular opinions)

Hello to anyone reading this post who I assume is or was at some point a fan of BBC Sherlock, I hope each one of you is having a good time despite everything that may be going wrong in your life right now. Things always get better, I promise  So, I’ve been thinking about writing this post for a while now and I feel like now is the best time to do so. You see, about a month ago I watched this TedTalk that really affected how I think( why do you think you’re right even when you’re wrong). I really suggest you watch the video, but to summarize it, it was about how we need to think and act like a scout and not a soldier. A Soldier’s main concern is to attack or defend herself, her heart starts pounding, her hormone levels are elevated and basically she cares about defeating the opponent more than anything else. Scouts on the other hand mainly focus on seeing exactly what is there, there is no bias, there is no attacking, it is simply observing in the best way possible. This is exactly what all of us must do in order to have a healthy conversation and unfortunately it is hard thing to do I admit. However hard we try, we can never be 100% unbiased and I find that very natural. Still, I try my best to stay unprejudiced and as challenging as this feat is, it is worth it. Everything I am about to say in the following paragraphs I have tried to analyze based on everything I’ve been observing in this fandom and even though I do not claim at all that all of these are completely unbiased, I have to say I tried my best. ( it would still be very faulty because who am I kidding, we’re all human beings and we are biased) Before I start I need to give a background of myself. Because I have not seen anyone in this fandom with a background similar to mine. I’m almost 21. I come from a country where being gay is considered both a sin and a crime. If they find out you are gay or catch you in the act, you will be hanged. Dreadful huh? People here are generally very very homophobic, if you live in America, just multiple the level of homophobia there by 1000X and maybe, maaaaaybe you’ll get a little close to the rate here. I do not mean to scare the hell out of you, I’m just trying my best to paint a good picture. I consider myself an asexual even though I’m not sure because I do not feel like I physically hate sex when I’m having it, I just mentally find the idea of sex disturbing. I cannot even tolerate making out or kissing scenes, the sound does the same thing to my ears that scratching the ground with your nails. Sex in general is one of the most disgusting things I believe exists in this world and I just wish that there was some cuter way of making babies. I don’t think I’m gay because I like boys but I’m not sure if I’m straight either. I’ve been following everything’s that’s been happening in the Sherlock fandom ever since season 4 started. I’m not a very old fan of Sherlock, I started watching the show less than a year ago and I have to admit, I was obsessed with it instantly. I did not get into this fandom until after finishing season three and because I was at first a hardcore AdLock shipper (still kinda am) and also a Molly-lover (still am) and currently am in Love with Johnlock I think I can pretty much relate to lots of people here. Before explaining myself, just let me say this. I Abhor and despise The Final Problem from the bottom of both my heart and brain. I just hate it. Now before I get judged for spreading hate, I should say that this is not spreading hate. There is a spectrum of evaluation for anything. If someone has the right to say something was perfect and she loved it. I have the right to say it was terrible and I hate it. I do not hate any Person, just their creation, or better to say, what they have done to their creation. You see, I think there are three main attitudes people can have towards BBC Sherlock ( Relating to JohnLock) 1- John and Sherlock’s relationship is very important in the series but it is just a deep platonic bond. 2- John and Sherlock’s relationship is important in the series and it is romantic. 3- John and Sherlock’s relationship is not that important and it is all about the cases and the adventures. Honestly, and this is my personal opinion, I think the final problem cannot satisfy any of these attitudes. There was no romance there, the platonic bond was gone and was there even a case? I do not mind at all Sherlock and john getting together romantically, but I would have been completely satisfied and happy with them just being very good friends like they were at the end of episode one for example. But even that friendship was gone. Would you just stand there doing nothing when your best friend is putting a gun on himself with a countdown to shoot? Now I have seen some people saying that John had just become numb but this episode was supposed to be a finale, characters needed to come to complete their transformation, so John’s transformation was to become completely numb and indifferent toward his best friend killing himself? To me, it does not make any sense. I did not see the episode when it was leaked but I saw many people being upset by it and when I finally watched it this was my very first reaction : ( bursting into laughter) can’t you see what’s happening guys??!? They made this episode so explicitly ridiculous that they did not even think anyone would doubt its fakeness!! “ I’m not even exaggerating, this was my first reaction, to me, from the very first scene, the episode felt like a parody, a very cheesy play I kept waiting for the scene to change into the real one and it just did not., and for weeks I did not even want to explain to people why I thought it was fake because it was just so obvious to me. I did not even need metas or theories, for me the umbrella-sword-gun was enough proof for the triteness and stupidity of the episode. I mean, I couldn’t just understand how people can ignore the cheesiness of this scene: a show like Sherlock cannot pull of such cartoonish scenes, it just does not fit, can you understand what I’m saying? Such scenes do not belong to the Sherlock universe. What my thoughts are on TJLC: I’m a person who hates sex and believe me when I say this, John and Sherlock are the only couple that I will not mind at all having sex and you know why? There are just toooo many stupid shallow romantic movies of guys and girls who look into each other’s eye and jump into bed together the next day that I’m just craving for deep bond and true loves stories. John and Sherlock have killed for each other, sacrificed everything for each other, changed because of each other, grew in character because of each other, I just feel like I’m ready for them to do whatever they wanna do. It just feels right. I see nothing wrong with it. What is love if it is not what’s between Sherlock and John? This is the love I want. True love. Now, I think some of theories and opinions in TJLC are pretty far-fetched or at least could be interpreted in so many other ways too. For instance, the scene with Janine and Sherlock kissing and john freaking out and insisting to know what has happened: TJLC claims it’s because John is jealous but to me, it’s more like he is very curious and confused because honestly if you have a friend who considers any type of romantic relationship stupid and pointless how will you react if you see her/him kissing someone? He could be jealous but other interpretations are also valid. This is of course just an example, there are some other points I do not agree with. And then there’s this opinion that we should try to encourage men having deep relationships without having to make it sexual which I also strongly agree with. Now all of these aside, I personally believe it does not matter who you ship Sherlock with or which of those three attitudes you have toward the show, The Final Problem does not make sense. I am not exactly a pro-TJLC and then I am not completely against it. I love Irene, I love Molly and I love the cases. The point I’m trying to make by saying all of these is that I have been trying hard to make sense of the finale and I just can’t, even though I do not restrict myself to just one part of this fandom(Even though I find TJLC more fascinating )and believe me, when I love a show, I do anything to defend its perfection and yet I have not been able to defend TFP. I’m ashamed of it. And still, still, still I can’t accept it was real. Something must’ve happened, because if they had a problem with Sherlock getting together with John or anyone else, still they could’ve done it much better. I’m a person who would not have been bothered by them not becoming romantically involved and still TFP was like a nightmare to me. I just do not get how some people like it. Don’t get me wrong, everyone’s free to like what they want, it’s just that I don’t see how it is possible. Because to me, it was just soooooo corny, unrealistic and pointless. Bringing up a character and making the whole show about her, claiming everything the protagonist is now is because of her, this is just a very cheap trick and I can’t believe how such good writers would do this. What’s my y most important point? You do not have to be hardcore JohnLock shipper to be disappointed with the episode. TFP sucked in all kinds of way and as much as I love to like it I just can’t. Now my fellow scouts, if you disagree with any of my points or want to have a healthy conversation my ask is always open. My fellow TJLCers: I do not think you are wrong about TFP at all❤️ and this comes from someone who does not completely agree with all of your opinions :) you are amazing people and I love your work. I hope there is some sort of explanantion for all this because it is bugging my mind more than my heart. Again, I'm here if everyone feels like discussing things

ooh, ooh, important note - the ‘champions village’ i have in mind of Urica/Ureka is NOT like Ever Grande City. that is, its an actual place people live, not just a single pokemon centre and the league. like. people live there. each of the elite 4 have a house, so does the champion. you can probably meet the ex-elite 4 member inside of his house when you arrive, as he’s packing up his things and preparing to go off on his big adventure or whatever. and you can go in and have a chat, and he’ll tell you all about his big globe trotting plans, and how he’s only stuck around so long because of how much the Team/Org shit has strangled the search for a new elite. and now they have one (who he will not name, to keep the surprise about whether you got Rhia or Elliot on your first/second playthroughs, i guess) he’s finally setting sail for new worlds. godspeed, you bastard.

Bronwyn is present, she lives in the house and tells you about Jun and about her darling daughter Lyndelle who takes after him to a tee and about her darling d-nnhhh uuhh niece Rhia who has been such a friendly girl and a real asset to the community. But she’ll just have a generic mum sprite. she’d only get a unique, in game design if i’d designed every other necessary character and started going back through a few of the optional ones. i mean, giving her an overworld sprite is easier than like, an ow, a battle, and a vs sprite, like what a lot of the unique characters have. the Stantons, if they were to appear, are exclusive to the postgame and really only need to be present IF Rhia goes missing, which only happens in her Split route. so theyre unique to 1 of the two routes. and like... yea you could limit it to just a few of them instead of all 5, maybe just Patrick comes, since Rhia is his ‘daughter’ and it makes sense, and bringing Eira and the kids seems like a weird idea so they might as well just stay home. still! unique to one route! there’s no good reason for Patrick to show up in her reconcile routes because shes fully accounted for and perfectly capable of handling herself with all the bullshit. he COULD show up after the Felicity encounter that caps off the postgame, since Rhia and Elliot end up in hospital (or Elliot specifically, Rhia is also injured but to a substantially lesser degree which allows her to remain in e4/take elliots place without any real delays. she already has the walking stick, shes fine). eh??

but yea. actual city. or, town, at least? theres at least 5 buildings excluding the league at the back, it surrounded by lovely foliage and is just very appealing in general. and then the pokemon centre up the front when you first walk in out the caves. nice nice, my guy.

though this also makes me wonder. where does elliot live? he doesnt live in the village, because he quit the elite 4 arouuuunnnnd 7 years back. where’s he from? he’s friends with the Professor....... so either they’re both from your home town (aka Knox, Melbourne, because hey i can do what i want) or theyre both from elsewhere and she moved to Knox while he stayed? i sorta like the idea of them both being locals. itd certainly explain Elliot’s interest in you and Seren, since both of you are locals. plus that’d be kinda new, eh? an elite 4 member or champion in your town? really any big trainer who isnt yourself, your rival, or Cheren in bw2 since in that game your home town has a gym. but hes also not FROM Aspertia, he’s from nuvema, so, yknow, lmao. i think it’d be neat! elps you get set up with him from early on, which means you have more of the game to accumulate those sweet sweet RE points (Rhia/Elliot points, for determining their ending). im into it. a little like, hmm... alder in bw2 appears right at the start, in floccesy town! its something like that, except cooooonstantly. all throughout, instead of isolated to that section of the map. which makes him akin toooo.... uhm......probably closest to Steven? a combination of Alders retiree status and Steven’s involvement in the plot while also being champion. thats what that is.

actually almost dicks scene was not my fave tho. i really liked the scene where Taron and Arei came to that burned down village and Taron found that girl in the well. I thought it was cute because up till this point taron had mostly been a rough around the edges sort of person. so i thought it was sweet and ironic he was the one who actually found a survivor.

QUESTION 2. Towards the beginning of the comic, Areitus ominously mentions that the Karian are up to something since humans are disappearing. Even more so, various scenes do depict the Karians hauling people away. What do you think the Karians are up to? So far, I'm really appreciating that there aren't any huge infodumps. All the lore so far has come up organically through dialogue and events. I know who the enemies are, I know magic isn't a human thing, I know there's a treaty etc etc. You can infer everything. No one chimed in to ask what the two leads' relationship is - so far I have been able to understand that Arei is teaching the other and is much more experienced. I imagine I'll find out even more like this as I go along.(edited)

Another good example of what I brought up is the fact that no one explained how Karians are different. It's obviously the ears. So when Taron focuses on Bast's ears, you immediately get that he realized "what" she is. It's nothing, like, WHOA. It's basic visual storytelling or whatever but

agh it's almost 5am and i'm dyin of hunger. im going to bed <'D made it to chapter 11 tho. i wasn't sure on the story at first, but Arei and Taron have grown on me so I'm looking forward to learn more about them in the future. As well as learning more about the actual conflict and its history.
