I think Flame is being severely underrated as a gay roleplayer tbh, like his relationships with Zam, Pangi, and even in some amount Mapicc should definitely give him some points. He’s got that interest in and protectiveness over Zam that warps into an obsessive desire to destroy him and a sort of deification of Zam as Spawn in his mind. He gets excited fighting against Zam and he makes choices independently from Mane in pursuit of messing with him! Is this healthy? No. Is it a little bit gay? I think so! Plus he’s got his closeness with Pangi and his protectiveness over him that, again, makes him assert himself against Mane to protect Pangi’s projects. Even his relationship with Mapicc has this weird little ‘what are we’ sort of thing that they dance around. I don’t have a strong opinion on the winner between him and Spoke, but I don’t think he deserves to get swept the way he is currently! Anyways, I’m viewing Flame’s relationships with Mapicc, Zam, and Pangi as being heavily influenced by him be gay and heavily repressed but shaking my head the whole time so people know I don’t condone the equating of violence and cruelty with romantic love.
