This year I’ve embraced a change of pace and read way less than I intended to. This made me feel a bit disconnected from fandom but also allowed me to put this list together in record time so let’s not complain too much 😂 this is shorter and lacking my usual commentary but I didn’t want to break the tradition of sharing my fave reads of the year! For everyone getting doomery about the snow in Rosohna, it's totally normal to get weather like this, even in Thunsheer! The entire city is under dunamantic darkness and shields, which changes the atmospheric pressure and can kind of mess with the weather. Plus, we don't get any sun down here, which means that the city is on average a lot cooler than the rest of the Kryn Dynasty's lands and Xhorhas as a whole. So, no reason to panic, it's totally normal and there's perfectly reasonable explanations for this :)

We were literally not meant to be above ground, sun exposure isn't good for us, we can't tolerate it. Even in places like Rosohna where there's artificial darkness, it's still not actual darkness like the Underdark, your body can tell when you're in close proximity to the sun even if you can't see it.
