Don't kill each other
Tumblr media
Requested by anonymous: Hey hey! How about a request for Untamed where the reader is the twin (or younger sister) of Meng Yao who is involved in planning the murder of Nie Mingjue and Jin Guangshan along with her brother and Xue Yang. Meng Yao is very protective of her sister, always takes care of her and always wants her to be happy (heh, I adore protective brothers even though I don't have one XD). But Meng Yao does not know that his sister is in a relationship with Xue Yang, he is afraid to tell his brother because he believes that he might be jealous of Xue Yang because it was always her brother who protected her and now he will be replaced by Xue Yang. And she wasn't wrong in a way, when Meng Yao found out (he saw them too close together, heard them talking amorously to each other, etc...) and so he decides to interrogate them both, he asks his sister why she kept it from him...
Pairing: Xue Yang x Meng!reader
Word Count: 1.0k words
Warnings: dismemberment, death, threathening
Tumblr media
With a loud sigh, you leaned back against Xue Yang's chest. Your brother was god knows where, already an hour late to what was supposed to be your meeting time. Xue Yang threw his arm around you, pulling you closer to him as he placed a soft kiss on the crown of your head. His hand toyed with your hair, pulling at the strands ever so slightly to annoy you a bit. You just shoved him as you sat up, almost jumping from your seat as the door loudly opened. You moved to another seat instead of staying on Xue Yang's lap, sitting a bit more neater and lady-like than before. Your brother, Meng Yao, entered with a frown on his face, creating wrinkles in his forehead that you had grown so used to seeing.
"Who was it this time?" You asked as you spotted some blood on the bottom of his robes, but Meng Yao didn't answer. His frown did lessen a bit when he saw you, softly patting your hair. You smiled at him before embracing him, making the elder break out in a smile eventually. Xue Yang was fascinated with how easy you could change Men Yao's mood, but it made sense since you could easily do the same for him. It was a charm of yours, one easily used for manipulation if necessary and often used for it as well. Xue Yang knew this well enough, it is how you got his attention and how you got him to join Meng Yao's plans. Luckily, you were more true to yourself after getting to know him instead of pretending to be your fake self.
"So, who was it this time?" You asked again as you let go of him, looking at him while he sat down as well. Meng Yao shook his head before looking at Xue Yang.
"Why are you here?" His voice was laced with annoyance, you couldn't figure out why, and Xue Yang scoffed before turning and grabbing his back. It was quickly throw across the room, landing besides Meng Yao. He opened it before closing it again, closing his eyes as well.
"I needed him intact, not just his head..." "The ghouls got to him first, not my fault." Xue Yang said, shrugging as he leaned back in his seat. Both men seemed a bit too unbothered with the fact that there was a literal head in the bag. You, like any normal human being, didn't quite like to see severed limbs. So when Meng Yao dropped the bag and the head of whoever rolled out of the bag and to the floor, you immediatley turned away while trying to not gag. Cue both men looking at you with a worried look, Xue Yang being the first to check up on you.
Unfortunately for both of you, he forgot about your brother sitting an arms length away.
"What do you think you're doing?" His voice was laced with venom, clearly meant to scare Xue Yang in some way. It didn't work, but that didn't mean that Meng Yao would stop glaring. You slowly pushed Xue Yang's hand away from your arm, coughing softly as you tried to compose yourself. Xue Yang didn't stop his movement as he made you close your eyes before you heard shuffling, assuming that he was putting the head away from your sight. Meng Yao frowned as he watched how caring Xue Yang was being to you, unlike what he had seen previously. He picked Xue Yang because of the lack of empathy to humans, yet here he was as he treated you like you were the love of his life. At that thought, Meng Yao's eyes widened as he looked between the two of you. Somehow, everything clicked in seconds.
"You're courting?" He asked, voice even rougher than before as he awaited an answer from you. He didn't care for Xue Yang, only staring at you with a look of, what seemed to be, disappointment. And for you, that was the worst thing to receive from your brother. It pained your heart that your brother was disappointed in you, you fought every single day to not disappoint him in any way and yet here you were. You forced yourself to speak, telling him that was true with a stutter in your voice that you could not hide. Emotions flashed across your brother's face, something that not often happened as Meng Yao never wore his emotions on his face. It ended in an emotionless look, one that you could still read easily however. That was an expression that meant one thing, Xue Yang was going to die.
"Don't you dare." The second you said that, Meng Yao had already turned and pointed a sword to your boyfriend's neck. It pressed against his main artery, drawing a bit of blood that trickled down Xue Yang's neck. You rushed forwards, shoving yourself in between the pair while pushing the sword away safely.
"You can not kill my boyfriend-" Meng Yao twitched, wanting to lift the sword once again. "-Don't you dare." You pointed a finger at him and he sighed, dropping the sword rather dramatically.
"If she gets hurt-" "She won't. You know what I can do." Xue Yang answered, a bit too cocky for your liking as you elbowed him between his ribs.
"I can protect myself, so why don't you both shut up." You spoke as you stepped out of their reach, looking at the both of them before pointing a finger at each.
"Now get along." And with that, you walked out. They'd be fine, even if they fought.
As long as neither died, but you'd kill the other if that happened and you were sure that they knew that.

I’ve been living with an empty space in my heart after finishing The Untamed and Word of Honor, coming here to read some good fics and finding none for WoH and only a few for MDZS (which I already have read all)
Like there are a lot of beautiful and fic-able(? characters in both shows ????

“The Vanity Of Virtues” a CQL (Xue Yang x Fem! Reader) Fanfic: Part 2 (TW: SEX SCENE)
Tumblr media
“You killed an entire village?” Qiān Qiān gasped. “That’s definitely way worse than me killing a man in self defense. Yes, maybe I went overboard…but-“
Xue Yang grinned. “Killing is killing. There’s no righteous way to do it. That’s what makes it so much fun in the first place, sweetheart.”
“If it’s so effortless and comes so naturally to you, how do I know you won’t kill me?” Qiān Qiān scoffed.
“You don’t. I’m not going to guarantee you anything. But if it helps, for now I’ll keep you around. I’d like to corrupt you before I slit your throat.” Xue Yang said, his thumb tracing a line across Lan Qiān Qiān’s throat.
She shivered. His fingers felt good on her skin. Despite this, she pulled away. “Nice try. I’m not looking for that kind of corruption. Besides, why would you want a girl from a prestigious clan? You’d get your way with random whores on the streets perhaps, but not me.”
Xue Yang feigned an expression of hurt, getting up and walking towards the place where Qiān Qiān’s horse was tied. “Will you at least let me travel with you to the nearest town?” He asked, stroking the horse’s mane.
Qiān Qiān laughed. Xue Yang was so quick to change his demeanor. Now he had the tone of a pitiful lost child. “Fine. You can come along, but you need to behave yourself.” She got up, dusting herself off and making her way over to where the horse was. “I ride front. And we only stop for water.”
“Riiiight.” Xue Yang said, watching his companion’s ass as she mounted the horse.
“What exactly are you looking at?” She huffed, frustrated. “Mount the damn horse, or walk.”
Xue Yang snickered, climbing on behind her and muttering some remark about a Lan clan girl cussing in front of him.
Qiān Qiān took the reins, untying the horse and digging her heels in to get it moving. She felt Xue Yang’s arms slip around her waist, hands resting over her midriff. She blushed, grateful he couldn’t see her cheeks turning red. ‘What a filthy vagabond.’ She noted silently. Then smiled.
The hot hours of the day passed by, with the sun high in the sky. Occasionally Xue Yang instructed Qiān Qiān to make a right or left turn. They stopped for water twice, and by the time they could see a village and its lanterns in the distance, the sun was setting a rusty red over the mountains to the west. It was a blessing, entering the village at nightfall, as their raggedy appearance and bloodstained clothes were less apparent in the dark.
After dismounting the horse and tying it near an inn, Xue Yang and Lan Qiān Qiān entered through the doors of the clean but simple Inn that had a tavern connected to it. No one else was there except the owner at the front table and (presumably) his son sweeping the hallway. Xue Yang approached the owner with confidence. “Are any rooms vacant?” Qiān Qiān asked, hurrying her steps to catch up with her cocky travel companion.
The old innkeeper smiled, but his eyes were filled with suspicion as he eyed the stains on Xue Yang’s clothes. “I’m sorry. There aren’t any rooms without guests. Maybe try the next town?” The man suggested. Qiān Qiān frowned. Her back and butt ached from riding the horse many tedious miles. Xue Yang turned to her, taking in her tired posture and sleepy expression.
He turned back to the innkeeper, unsheathing his knife and holding it to the man’s neck in a single effortless motion. “You’re lying, and my girl here is tired. Give us a room, friend.” He said, synthetic curtesy laced in his tone. Xue Yang use his other hand to pull out a paper with the official Wen Clan symbol stamped on it.
The innkeeper scrambled, stuttering and agreeing to prepare them a room. Xue Yang didn’t sheath the knife til the old man led them to their room and closed the door behind them.
Qiān Qiān didn’t know whether to feel appalled or grateful at Xue Yang’s lack of manners. Was Xue Yang working for the Wen Clan? At this point, she was too tired to care. She flopped on the bed in the corner, immediately falling fast asleep.
That is, until she felt Xue Yang climb into bed next to her. She bolted upright, completely flustered. It was then she realized there was only one bed.
“Something wrong? Xue Yang said getting comfortable.
“I-I- what do you think you’re doing??!” She stuttered, snatching the pillow out from under him and smacking him with it.
Xue Yang observed Qiān Qiān for a moment, then nodded smugly, as if a piece of the puzzle was falling into place. “If it flusters you that much, there’s always the floor, my little Qiān Qiān. I understand girls need to save certain things for later if they wish to be wed.” He remarked, lying back down and closing his eyes.
Qiān Qiān felt anger boiling in her stomach. “What makes you think I’d settle for any man in marriage or otherwise?!”
Xue Yang smirked, eyes still closed. “If you’re so disgusted by the notion I can only assume you’re a virgin. How very Lan Clan of you.”
Still furious, Qiān Qiān climbed out of the bed and reclined on the floor. She tried sleeping, as the moon rose high in the sky and peaked through the windows, changing the shadows on the floor. Her back and neck began to cramp. She cried softly to herself. This felt like Lan Clan level of punishment. The hard floor was unforgiving at best, torture at worst with its splinters and creaking. ‘It’s not that I’m disgusted by him… or the idea of…’ Qiān Qiān paused her thoughts. ‘If I’m honest I’m just scared. Scared i won’t be good enough, or that he’ll hurt me if I show that kind of trust. I just met him, and it would be completely foolish to trust Xue Yang with my body like that. He killed a whole village!’
She rolled over one more time on the wood floor. Then sat up in anger and defeat, climbing into bed next to Xue Yang.
His body was warm and she settled in quite easily, back to him, but eventually she felt his arms wrap around her, pulling her closer. The dull ache in her heart subsided. This wasn’t so bad. She expected things to go farther. But eventually fell asleep, waking up with a feeling of both relief and disappointment that sex hadn’t happened. Qiān Qiān frowned. ‘How naive of me to think he’d be into me like that. He’s a heartless killer. I’m a foolish girl.’
Xue Yang stirred, sitting up and stretching. He acknowledged her with a half hearted “good-morning” that turned into a yawn. After going to the tavern for breakfast (which was free for guests), hardly enjoying the plain sticky rice and tea, Lan Qiān Qiān quietly returned to their room. Xue Yang had offered to go to the market and get better food for their travels. She decided not to accompany him. ‘Best if I distance myself from that man.’ Qiān Qiān thought crossly. An hour passed of her lying in bed, sulking and still aching from her time on the floor.
Xue Yang returned, entering the room and laying some clothes out for her that weren’t blood stained or torn. “You’ll look more trustworthy in these clothes.” He said, staring at Qiān Qiān expectantly. She dragged herself out of bed, silently changing in front of him. A small part of her hoped he’d see her as desirable if he saw her naked. The rest of her was numb with exhaustion. She struggled to tie the elegant and simple peach colored robes. Xue Yang stopped changing, still shirtless, to help her tie the back part she couldn’t reach very well.
When he was done, she spun around, letting the sleeves catch the air and swirl around her. She felt slightly better, and even managed a weak smile. At least now she didn’t look like the ragged runaway that she felt like inside. Xue Yang clapped playfully at her little dance, and the ache returned to her heart. She wanted him so badly, and couldn’t get the feeling of his warmth against her in bed out of her mind, or the self-hatred that came with it. ‘What a fool I am….’
When evening came, a very old cultivator woman arrived at the tavern and the residents of the inn flocked to her table, all clambering to have her do a special tea divination for them. Xue Yang and Lan Qiān Qiān watched from their table. The elegant older woman quietly got up from her table and left the crowd behind. Much to both of their shock, the cultivator sat at their table. Qiān Qiān greeted the woman respectfully, but Xue Yang rolled his eyes, sipping his jar of liquor in silence.
“You must be really renowned for tea readings!” Lan Qiān Qiān said, acknowledging the woman in awe. Divination was a very special practice that she had hardly seen in the Lan Clan.
“If you want I can show you your fate?” The woman offered.
“But what about those people who asked you first?” Qiān Qiān said, surprised.
“They all will ask me boring questions, in all honesty.” The wise cultivator answered. “You two seem more interesting. Perhaps you’ll ask me something that will challenge my skills.”
“In that case… I would love to witness my fate!” Qiān Qiān said enthusiastically. “If it’s not too much trouble,” she added.
The woman nodded, pouring the loose leaf tea. Into the cup. She proceeded to have Qiān Qiān drink it, leaving only the tea mulch left and none of the liquid. The woman flipped the tea cup over its tray and then flipped it again, examining rhetorical remains of the tea leaves and herbs and what shapes they formed.
Her expression tightened, and she was silent. Qiān Qiān waited patiently.
Finally, the woman spoke. “I see a butterfly. I also see a spider lily next to it. Transformation, death, and lots of turmoil. That is what your future holds. You and your companion will face these things soon enough, because the spider lily flower and the butterfly are closer to where each of you sit. That is all I can tell you.” The woman said. If she was uneasy, she gave no sign of it.
Qiān Qiān burst into tears, slumping in her seat. “Can you please tell me if there’s something else? I don’t want to die! Not yet!” She cried softly. Xue Yang groaned in irritation. The woman glanced disapprovingly at the two of them then got up and left.
“You do know that divination like that is complete nonsense,” Xue Yang sighed, taking another swig of his drink. Lan Qiān Qiān didn’t stop crying. Xue Yang frowned. He set down his drink, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her closer to him. “There, there… no use crying over tea leaves. I’m not killing you tonight anyways.”
She continued bawling, ignoring his efforts to comfort her. That is, until he leaned in and started gently kissing her neck. Qiān Qiān paused her crying, letting out a whimper of pleasure. Taking this as a sign, he scooped her up out of her seat and carried her back to their room at the inn.
When they arrived in the room, he set her down on the bed and immediately started undressing. “What…. What are you doing?” She said shakily, blinking back tears.
Xue Yang removed his boots and took off his pants, carelessly tossing them on the ground. Qiān Qiān’s jaw dropped, taking in the sight of his rather large package. “Isn’t it obvious? Besides… You heard the woman, we don’t have much time left. Might as well have some fun!”
Qiān Qiān’s cheeks turned bright red, and she felt a pulsing wetness between her legs she couldn’t ignore.
Xue Yang began untying her dress.
“I thought you didn’t believe in that divination stuff?” Qiān Qiān said, feeling the layers of her dress falling to the floor. There was only one layer left.
Xue Yang slipped his hands into the final binds of her robes , quickly untying them. “Any excuse to ruin a girl from the prestigious Lan Clan…” he whispered in her ears. The clothes fell to the ground, leaving her exposed.
That was it. Lan Qiān Qiān couldn’t think of any excuses. She laid back on the bed and closed her eyes. “Please go easy. I’ve… never done this sort of thing.” She said submissively.
She waited, and felt Xue Yang join her in bed. He pulled her close, kissing her soft skin, sucking on her nipples, and fingering her clit gently until she begged for more. Qiān Qiān cried at first when he slid his cock into her. It hurt a bit more than she had expected. It stretched her so much and she felt how tight her pussy was against Xue Yang’s length. He pulled out and plunged it back in repeatedly, becoming merciless and passionate in the way he caressed her. Finally, he left it in, beginning to cum inside her as she wept and buried her face in his chest.
“Shouldn’t you pull out?” She said, breathless and wet from arousal.
Xue Yang kissed her on the lips, and she melted, mind going blank as she began to grind up against him instinctively. He moaned with satisfaction.
In that moment, Qiān Qiān felt like she belonged. He craved her. He wanted her. That was more than she could ever have hoped.
“Xue Yang…” she moaned, exhausted after a full hour had passed of pleasure. “I’m tired. If it’s ok… can we do this again tomorrow?”
“I guess I can let you live until then…” Xue Yang said playfully. “It’s a deal.” He ran his fingers through her long hair, smiling shamelessly.

Another pro-reader tip for mxtx novels: they are all stories with clear-cut good guys and bad guys and a strong moral message, BUT you have to actually read what the story has to say about characters without taking anything at face value, relying on genre tropes, or using identities and statuses as shorthand to your understanding of the moral system and themes of the story. So no, most characters in her stories are not morally gray (though some are, most can be definitively categorized as either morally good or bad, and ALL of her main characters are definitively morally good), and no she does not write morally gray plots where “morality is just subjective!” If anything, the term I think people are looking for is “morally neutral” (meaning that the thing is not assigned a morality in and of itself) in many cases.
An mxtx character is never designated as good or bad based off their backgrounds or class: Wei Wuxian, Jin Guangyao, Shen Jiu, and Mu Qing all grow up outside of the elite class, but Mu Qing (eventually) and Wei Wuxian are unquestionably good guys while Jin Guangyao and Shen Jiu are unquestionable villains. Shen Yuan, Lan Wangji, and Xie Lian all grow up within the gentry class but are all good guys while Jiang Cheng, Jun Wu, and The Old Palace Master are bad. Likewise, life circumstances or tools don’t determine morality. In mdzs, the sword path (which is the orthodox one) is used to commit genocide by the general cultivation world just as easily as Lan Wangji wields it to protect the forsaken commoners. Wei Wuxian’s ghost path was created to protect himself before being used to protect others, but Xue Yang and the Jin Clan pervert it to cause mass destruction for their own wishes. In tgcf, Xie Lian uses his god powers to attempt to help the Yong’an people while the other gods simply collect worshippers to increase their power and oppress lesser gods. Every character I’ve listed minus the Old Palace Master has experienced intense trauma that has informed their lives and colors their morality, but it does not define why they have chosen to take on certain moral stances.
(This is not to say that mxtx doesn’t have certain tropes she dislikes, as she clearly hates the “dedicate their whole existence completely to another person” trope. Su She, a villain dedicated to Jin Guangyao, dies. Zhuzhi-lang, a sympathetic antagonist dedicated to Tianlang-jun, dies. Hua Cheng, A WHOLE LOVE INTEREST dedicated to the literal main character, dies a whopping three (3) times before he learns his lesson.)
Mxtx does not condemn those who stray from orthodoxy. In fact, every story she’s (currently) written is about the dangers of entrenched and unquestioned hierarchy and status quo giving way to corruption every time. She wants you to question the dominant narrative of the benevolent group who descend from on high to “save the ignorant masses.” She wants you to question the idea that the only people with the right of choice are those at the top of the hierarchy. She wants you to question the idea that even the smallest decision of “powerless” people does not matter in “the grand scheme of things.” She wants you to actually think about the story conventions that you accept as infallible and question whether or not it would make for good shorthand by which to understand well-written characters and story arcs (and also, hopefully, how society is structured at large). So if you find yourself reading an mxtx novel and siding with the mob characters or lamenting how x character was locked into making certain choices “against their will” or being unable to reconcile how a recognized trope led to an unexpected conclusion because “that’s not how it’s supposed to go,” then it may do you some good to stop and ask yourself “was this idea supported by the narrative that I read in the book, or is this an idea I’ve come to entirely from my own preconceived notions of how I wanted the story to turn out based on how other, similar stories have panned out?”

If it Means to Remain by Your Side
From the list I posted yesterday, I'm gonna start with the Dan Heng x Reader MDZS inpsired fic first.
Characters and plot won’t be as accurate to the inspired plot. Especially for this story which involves a lot of adults and teens an not much children.  So many characters are left out simply due to the fact that a lot of npcs either didn’t fit the role, or were far too young for my standards.
I also ended up having to lean more onto the live action version than the novel/manhua version. Not all characters casted are exactly accurate too, as there are more traumatized than non-traumatized.
Cast
Dan Heng  - Lan zhan/Lan Wangji
Reader - Wei Ying/Wei Wuxian
Jing Yuan - Lan Xichen
Blade/Yingxing - Song Lan
March - Lan Jingyi
Yukong - Jian Yanli
Tingyun - Jin Guangyao
Jingliu - Xue Yang
Baiheng - Xiao Xingchen
Yanqing - Jin Ling
Ruan Mei _ Baoshan Sanren
Luocha - Jin Zixuan (Ik Yukong and him aren’t a ship, but it'll have to do as Honkai doesn’t really have a F and M implied relations. I mean the only ones that do are in a love triangle.)
Xueyi - Wen Ning
Hanya - Wen Qing
Qingque - Nie Huaisang
Diting - Fairy
Fu Xuan - Jiang Cheng
Guinaifen - Lan Sizhui/Lan Yuan (Again, not a ship as Yanqing is too fight frenzy of a kid to actually have a crush. I just think these two would pair well as friends)
Sushang - A-Qing
Setting/Sects
Luofu -- Gusu Lan
Dan Heng
Jing Yuan
March
Guinaifen (later half)
Yaoqing -- Qinghe Nie
Qingque
Zhuming -- Qishan Wen
Hanya
Xueyi
Guinaifen (first half
Yuque -- Lanling Jin
Yanqing & Fairy
Luocha
Tingyun
Fanghu -- Yunmeng Jiang
Reader
Fuxuan
Yukong
Misc.
Blade/Yingxing
Jingliu
Baiheng
Sushang
Huohuo
Ruan Mei
Xuling -- Burial Mounds
Reader (Mid-way)
Hanya (Mid-way)
Xueyi (Mid-way)
Guinafen (Mid-way)
I literally looked up all the different alliance of Xianzhou just to see which would be Wen sect. So here’s the reasoning.
Luofu: They don’t really have a specialty. Their main goal is to take out abundance cult.
Yaoqing: Much like Luofu, don’t really have a specialty. Aggressive and good at martial arts.
Zhuming: Their main export specialty is porcelain. According to Fandom wiki, the people here love playing with fire.
Yuque: They export jade abaci, thus making me think they’ll be wealthy due to it and technologically advanced/smart.
Fanghu: Exports a lot of marine things. Though it would make since to have Dan Heng come from here, but it would not make sense for other characters like March and Jing Yuan to have been born here. And it’s the closest in description to Yunmeng.
Xuling: Not much is really stated about this place on Fandom Wiki, but it looks like a place of law. But piggybacking off of the fact that not much is written about this area, Imma just gonna liken this area to Burial Mounds.
Idk why I stressed so much trying to make it 100% accurate 💀
My main source for these infos are from MDZS and Star Rail fandom wiki, so if inaccuracies occur, I apologize in advance for it.

hands to hold - mdzs characters hcs
these mdzs characters wake up from a bad dream, and the first person they want to see is you
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Lan Xichen
it is always the same sight,
the same blood on his hands,
the same cold hilt of the sword,
the same force of a push that sends him back, far away, falling into an abyss of darkness
it is the same image that resides in his eyes, every single time he wakes up
when Lan Xichen blinks himself awake, he can’t ignore the tears that are already rolling down his face, the lump in throat that he tries to choke down
but it still makes his breath hitch with the effort,
as his eyes adjust to the dark, because he is now wide awake,
he feels the warmth of a small hand on his chest,
Xichen turns slowly, eyes landing and making out the picture of your still sleeping face
Xichen’s hand finds yours, interlocks your fingers together
your hand in his grounds him, even in your sleep
Xichen turns fully to face you, his free arm reaching out to you
he brings you to rest in his arms, comforting himself with your closeness,
you fit into his arms perfectly,
face nuzzling into his inner robes,
Xichen leans his head against the top of your head, takes in the soft scent of you beside him, around him, always with him
with the lingering scent of the Hanshi intermixed with you, Xichen finds sleep again
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Jiang Cheng
it is a sad thought to realize,
but Jiang Cheng doesn’t remember the time before the night terrors occurred
they are not always the same sights, or fears
but they are always terrifying, unresolved,
always angry
sad,
malicious
hateful to him
perhaps it is a mirror of his subconsciousness
Jiang Cheng wakes up painfully,
he sits up quickly in bed,
sweat dotting his brow,
a shaking in his hands that he can’t stop,
a heart beat so erratic that he would have thought that his organs were giving up on him,
“A-Cheng,”
the sound of your voice feels distant even though you both share the same bed,
he feels the blankets rustle, he’s scared that you are leaving him, just as everyone had
just as everyone else already did
before you know it, Jiang Cheng reaches out, grabs onto your arm,
you’re pulled roughly into a tight hug,
one where Jiang Cheng locks his tense arms so tightly around you you’re nearly suffocating,
one where he buries his face into your neck
one where you feel his warm tears, drip drip drip against your skin
“you have me, i’m right here, A-Cheng
“i’m right here,”
it takes a moment, a long quiet moment
but you always patient for him, and slowly his arms around you loosen to a breathable strength,
one that frees your arms so that they can hug him and run your hand up and down his back,
you place a featherlight kiss upon the top of his head,
hold him even as his body shakes with the silent tears that leak out of his eyes
you hold him even when dawn breaks across the horizon
you would hold him forever
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Xue Yang
he rarely feels guilty
but Xue Yang still has a conscience
 so all the blood,
splattered, puddled, pooled into things that had to be done,
usually tucked safely away
sometimes make their appearance after a particularly hard day,
when all his energy is drained,
where Xue Yang feels the most vulnerable,
sleep passes by in a wink, if he even managed to sleep at all
which is why when he closes his eyes,
the nightmare comes back after a long time
feels the pain rupture from his fingers all the way down his arm like the very first time,
feels the angry, the sadness churn and take him whole
Xue Yang had always been too rational to believe in spirits, but they come to him now,
all the people that he’d killed merciless
he’s begging for mercy
“Xue Yang,”
he should know better than anyone, that the dead don’t stay dead
“Xue Yang-”
you let out a startled breath when Xue Yang’s holds a knife up in defense before his eyes are even fully open
at the sight of you, Xue Yang’s own teary eyes meet your surprised stare,
he’s frozen at the sight of his blade pointed at you
but you are calm, undeterred,
gentle as you lower his hand, remove the weapon and place it to the side
your actions are slow, deliberate, even the hand that lands softly on his face
at your warm palm on his face, Xue Yang deflates against the headboard, hands coming up to over lap and hold your
little does he know that he doesn’t have to hold to you,
when you would never leave him anyways

Yoo I read the xuexiao fan fic and I was thinking instead of finding xue yang dead and alone already what if you found him when he just died like sang lan and everyone else is there and reader basically breaks down and everyone’s attention shifted on her as She runs to his dead body
So I wrote it. It’s very short but I just had to. In the original scene, Wei Ying carries A-Qing’s body away and everyone leaves with him while Song Lan kills Xue Yang. I changed it and had it to where everyone saw Song Lan stab Xue Yang and then you come running in. HERE WE GO >:0
Please Don't Leave Me
Tumblr media
Blood spilled out of Xue Yang’s mouth as he collapsed onto the ground. His strength started to fade rapidly as he looked over at his hand. He slowly uncurled his fingers to see the last piece of candy Xiao Xingchen had left him. Of course, he kept it.
His consciousness started to fade and he could barely register what was happening. He knew he was going to die and he only hoped he would see Xiao Xingchen waiting for him.
“XUE YANG!!!” You screamed as you ran to him. Everyone’s eyes landed on your form as you ran to Xue Yang. Roughly pushing past Lan Zhan, Wei Ying, and Song Lan, you fell to your knees beside Xue Yang and took him into your arms.
“N-no! No, no, no, no!” You cried as the blood gushed onto you. Where could you stop the bleeding?
Xue Yang weakly looked up at you, a genuine smile gracing his features. He weakly reached up to touch your face. You noticed his wavering arm and took his hand, pressing it to your face. You didn’t even care about the blood getting on you.
You shook your head as the tears slid down. Xue Yang couldn’t speak, but he had so many things he wanted to tell you. The biggest was an apology. You deserved it. But you would never get it.
“D-don’t leave me!” You cried, ignoring all the looks that weren’t sent your way. They all watched with sympathy, some even thinking you might’ve been manipulated into this.
All Xue Yang could manage was weak gasps as his fingers weakly stroked your cheek. He wanted to wipe the blood away but he knew he didn’t have the energy.
He watched as your face contorted with pain, he watched the tears slide down your cheeks, and he watched the agony in your eyes. With his fading life, he could only think of one thing.
Forgive me, (y/n)... but I have to leave you too...

Xue Yang w/ shy F!Y/n:
Context: you both are disciples at the Jin sect and got paired with this gremlin abomination so yeah, enjoy ^^
How did this happen
You put a snarky psychotic teen with a shy quiet female
Xue Yang will ignore you for a few weeks, merely interacting if he needs to
The only way to break ice is by you somehow having trouble with a talisman
Begrudgingly, he helped you
And observed you the little creep
He will find your stuttering and meek behavior amusing
So this set off a chain of events where he teases and prank you
You will pout at this which he doesn’t mind at all
Only after you got scared by a fake contraption of Xue Yang being “attacked” by did you snap and “protected” him
He would look in shock as you hold him and check him over
Yeah, he never got this treatment…
Blinking dumbfounded at you already having tears streaming down did he realize a thump
Afterwards, he was more better towards you, though still teasing
“Hey hey [y/n]-guniang! Why don’t you speak more~!”
“Xue-shixiong, we must focus..!”
He gonna poke you a lot, even squeezing it as he coos
You guys soon grow even closer, both seeming to flirt unknowingly as everyone stares at the dog food being lended
“Oi! I like you alright, accept my offer”
He gonna be flustered as he looked to the side while Jin Guangyao sigh
Poor Jin Guangyao, having to play matchmaker again-
Once you accept, expect a softer side from him
He gonna lean his head onto your shoulder and maybe nip the ear time to time
Huge teaser now, your gonna have a load of ego streaming out
Will eat candy dangoes from your hand, even though you bought it
Will hug you and glare at any unwanted attention
He is jealous, so jealous, he almost stab a poor guy
Okay with PDA, but save it for behind the scenes
Once your two alone, he will lay his head on you lap as you calmly stroke his hair
Somehow he pulled a card, much to the surprise of the other disciples
He will always keep his neck near the crook of your neck when he silent
If he do this, just accept it..he having a angry sad boy moment
Kiss him on the cheek, you will get a flustered Xue
So red, don’t do it in public
Maybe in front of Jin Guangyao just for the fun of it

Meeting an elf
Tumblr media
Requested by anonymous: Hello! Requests are open so I'll take advantage! How would Xichen, Cheng, Guangyao, Xingchen and Yang react to a reader who is an elf? What would they think of her different face shape, different eye color, different ear shape, different fighting style and different language she speaks? (she might speak their language, but in her homeland she would speak her Elvish language) THX!!!
Pairing: Untamed boys x reader
A/N Looked up the Lan rules for this, did not know that the existence of Wei Wuxian added about 500 to 1000 extra rules to the original 3000. Definitely not surprised though, if anything I'm impressed.
Lan Xichen:
Tumblr media
Rule number (enter random number)
'Do not bully the weak, or make fun of others'
which Xichen takes very seriously
so meeting you does shock him, but he does not judge
(in all fairness, elves don't look that different from visuals seen in the show)
there is one thing that fascinates him most, which is the glow surrounding you
it confuses him, because he does not understand why it is happening at all
he is fairly quick in getting to know you
is a bit surprised that you are so happy to speak to him
gladly learns your culture and even tries to learn your language
the culture is fine, the language is actually impossible for him
even with how much he loves to learn, he is fairly quick to give up
well, quick is a loose term
give or take 3 months
for Lan's, this is quick to giving up
but loves to listen to you talk to him in your language
loves hearing you sing in your language as well or when you play music
that he does learn
harps are not that different from guzhengs in a way
so he matches his style to yours, and it honestly doesn't sound to bad
besides, it's a way to spend time with you
so overall, he's great
Jiang Cheng:
Tumblr media
now honestly, don't hate me for this
but I think he might be a bit off putting
he's not mean, just very judgmental
and he doesn't really hide that
he thinks you look weird at first
the pointy ears look weird and your eyes make him uncomfortable
not really, he just says that
because it actually fascinates him so much
he saw you once, sparring against Wuxian
his mother had disapproved, so he followed
yet he could not tear his eyes from your form
your style, unlike the rougher one he was taught, was elegant
to the point that you seemed weightless
you caught him staring multiple times, yet are confused as to why he remains so on guard and mean
one comment is the last drop and you lash out
it is necessary, really is
and it does also change everything
he actually talks to you
because you force him to sit down and talk to you
which finally reveals his true nature and train of thoughts
overall, he is interested
very focused when you reminiscence about your home
but he just needed a little push in the right direction
Jin Guangyao:
Tumblr media
you know the drift on this one
cause I don't sugar coat him
now, what your use is to him depends on when you meet him
before everything, he kind of just needs you as some kind of support (like Xichen is)
if it's after everything, it's more like the use of Xue Yang
which soon enough will also happen even when you meet him before everything
will first try to gain your trust, of course
acts innocent and sweet, compliments you and uses the fact that you're both outcasts
and it kind of works..?
eventually, when you're friends, he starts being more himself
small comments to others and how he wished that they fell from grace
and soon enough, he'll comment about wishing for their deaths
now you saw how they treated him, so you didn't really see wrong in those statements
once he notices that you're comfortable with such things, he starts suggesting
knowing full well that your fighting skills would make you unnoticeable and fast
you're appalled at first
which makes him orchestrate a scenario
someone tries to "attack" him and maybe even "kill" him
and you defend him, which end up in the other's demise
you kind of become an overprotective friend, in a way
Guangyao is sure to tell you who is a threat to him and who isn't
is not shy of lying to you
but all that aside, he is also interested in you as a person
or your kind, if anything
because having you on his side, has them on his side
will turn into an isolation friendship at that point
maybe not the best person to befriend
Xiao Xingchen:
Tumblr media
Let's say you meet before he goes blind
I don't think he cares in the slightest
he travels a lot with Song Lan and thus sees quite a lot of things
it is definitely not the most surprising thing to see for him
what is surprising is that you're not an evil being
unlike most different "species"
he's still wary of you of course
because you act different like people normally do, whether it being because of culture or just your personality
but he is still fascinated nonetheless
because he likes to know everything
in a good way
so he will ask you stuff
and be prepared, cause it will be a list to go through
his biggest fascination is your eyes
yes, ironic, I know
because it's not a feature that he often sees
if ever
you're ears, as pointy as they are, don't seem weird
he's seen other people with pointy ears before, just not like yours
if you have blond or red hair, he would also be completely enthralled with it
is kind of glad when you ask to join him and Song Lan
consults Song Lan, but it ultimately it ends up being yes
Xiao Yang:
Tumblr media
you meet before he gets involved with Guangyao
give or take, he's 16 years old (He's probably around 17 or 18 when the series takes place, just speculation though)
he's roaming the streets, looking for good victims to pickpocket
he sees you
you looked innocent enough, an easy target
so he creeps closer, hand reaching to your bag
he feels the material of a money pouch and slowly wraps his hand around it
then he's staring up at the sky
and his arm is awkwardly twisted in a position that was paralyzing the rest of his body completely
"You breath too loudly"
the tone is mocking him and he does not appreciate it in the slightest
but the slightest movement made pain shoot up through his body, so he just laid their
the sun created a halo around your head and your eyes were practically glowing thanks to their bright color
he's left in awe for a few seconds before he starts to trash in your grasp
you're kind enough to let him go, watching with glee as he jumped up
he was glaring at you before he walked off
when he sees you the next time, the day after, he wants to retry
so he takes a deep breath before holding it and approaching you once more
his hand grazes the money pouch once more before he is pushed backwards, falling to the ground with a loud thud
you just smirk at him
he tries a third and even a fourth time, but fails every time
yet you always show him that stupid smirk that never fails to send a shiver up his spine
he doesn't understand how you hear him coming, he's never had trouble before
it's the fifth time that he tries that he succeeds
so he runs off, he never runs
only to discover the pouch to be completely empty
he will run back immediately
does not say anything except for 'teach me'
he wants to get better at pickpocketing and your fighting style intrigue him

Tied Up (Smut) - Xue Yang (The Untamed) x Male Reader
Tumblr media
Words: 1,119
11th of December, 2021
xxxxx
Y/n watched as the cultivators flew away from the overwhelming number of men he had chosen to bring for this mission. Though Wen Ruohan had doubted his decision to bring so many, he did just prove to have been right.
“Keep an eye out for the cultivators, should they return.”
Saying that he turned to walk into the hall where his target was. Before he was even in the room he could see that Xue Yang had his arms tied above his head along with his legs being tied together as well.
Restraining himself for the moment, he went about closing the doors. When the final door was closed, he turned to stare at the bound captive.
“Closing the doors? What would people think if they heard that you were left alone with a defenseless tied-up man?”
Y/n let out a chuckle, “I work for Wen Ruohan, I don’t much care what people think.”
Though he looked amused, Y/n’s eyes were filled with mischief as he came close and untied his legs. Finishing that, he stepped back, giving him an assessing look.
After a moment, Xue Yang scowled in impatience, “Untie me already.”
“Well, I still need to punish you for what you’ve done.” Was the reply he received.
Xue Yang scoffs, “Like you care about these people.”
Shrugging indifferently, Y/n says, “I don’t and I doubt Wen Ruohan cares either.” He moves into Xue Yang’s space. “But, he does care that you stole something so important to him.”
Y/n dodges then grabs Xue Yang’s leg as he kicks out at him. Holding it up to his hip, he grips Xue Yang’s face, moving his head so he has access to his neck.
“This doesn’t seem like a punishment,” Xue Yang said, before trying to bite Y/n’s fingers.
Tightening his grip on his face and leg, Y/n nipped at his throat, easily finding the spot that left him breathing a bit harder.
“That’s true, but I just wanted to enjoy myself before getting to work.”
Gliding his hand up Xue Yang’s leg, he was evidently having fun as he hovered along his inner thigh before finally reaching the tent in his pants. Palming his clothed erection, he rubbed along the length, pulling a moan out of him.
Y/n smirked against his neck right before taking a step back, a mischievous look in his eyes.
“What’s wrong A-Yang, this is a punishment, don’t you remember?” He said as he got a glare from him.
“Y/n,” Xue Yang growled.
Smirking, he moved around the troublemaker. Stopping behind him, he reached under Xue Yang’s robes and yanked on his pants, letting them fall around his ankles.
“Hey!” Xue Yang yelled, trying to turn to him.
“Yes, A-Yang?” Y/n said innocently.
“Yo-” Xue Yang yelped as Y/n spanked him, hard.
“This is a punishment, A-Yang. Besides,” He said, reaching around him. “I know you like this kind of stuff.” He took his erection in his hand and kneaded his ass in the other before spanking him again.
He spent a few moments spanking him and softly rubbing his cock, as Xue Yang held in his moans. By the end of it, his ass was bright red and he was close to cumming.
Xue Yang unconsciously growled as Y/n stopped rubbing him and let go. He tensed for a moment as he heard a small pop sound behind him.
“I only have oil for my sword so that’s gonna have to do,” Y/n explained, prodding his hole with his lubed finger.
Pushing into him, he played around a bit as it got harder for Xue Yang to hold in his moans. His hold broke when a second finger was added and he was letting out moans.
“Ah ah.”
Y/n was pistoning his fingers in and out of him, before long…
“AHHH!” Xue Yang cried out a strangled moan as he came onto the floor.
Moving the hair stuck to Xue Yang’s face, Y/n gently kissed his neck, “Are you enjoying your punishment, A-Yang.”
“Fu- fuck you,” He said, glaring at him.
“Don’t worry, that’s next,” He said, grinning.
In the next moment, Xue Yang once again felt prodding against his hole and when it entered him, it was much longer than fingers. He let out a hiss which caused him to bite his lip, angry he let it slip.
Hearing him, Y/n waited for a moment. Certain enough time passed, he slowly thrusting into him, slowly picking up more and more speed.
Gripping his waist, he was slamming deep into him, moaning into A-Yang’s neck.
With each impact, Xue Yang let a moan until he started losing himself and began to push back onto Y/n’s cock.
Their moans filled the room as they lost themselves thrusting against one another.
Gripping Xue Yang’s cock, Y/n roughly jerked him off, not once slowing.
“A-ah Ah Ah!”
“Fuck, A-Yang,” Y/n moaned, his legs feeling like jelly.
“AH!” He cried out, cumming inside Xue Yang.
A second after him, Xue Yang let out his own cry as he came harder than before, over the ground and Y/n’s hand.
As they were breathing hard, Y/n let go of A-Yang’s dick and took himself out of him.
Taking a step back, he stared as his cum dripped out of A-Yang and fell to the floor. He then look at his cum covered hand and brought it around to A-Yang’s mouth.
“Lick,” He commanded.
Though tired, he was still defiant, “Fuck off.”
“I’ll rub it on your clothes.”
Getting no reply, he did just that.
“Fuck you!” Xue Yang yelled, kicking behind him, missing.
“I told you, didn’t I?” Y/n said, before finally helping Xue Yang down and out of his binds.
The two lay beside each other, regaining their breath.
Xue Yang gave an innocent look as he asked, “So, are you going to let me go?”
Staring at him with the most deadpan look, Y/n sighed, “You’re lucky you’re hot, Xue Yang.”
Xue Yang grinned as he got up and began redressing himself, as Y/n drifted off into a short nap and as dawn came he woke back up, missing his robes along with his pants.
Looking around the room, he was able to find his discarded pants, but only Xue Yang's cum stained robes.
“You piece of shit,” He muttered. Getting dressed, he opened the door, shirtless to the world and his men and they too began waking up.
“Well men, it looks like our captive got away.” Getting groans from his men. “Let’s get to it, Wen Ruohan will be pissed if we don’t find his toy.”
And so, Y/n and his men began their “chase,” just pretending to do their job all while the world moved on.

With a sigh of exasperation, you stare towards the ceiling of the room you lay in. Not a word left your lips as you remained motionless, unable to take your mind off of the horrors that plagued your mind. Another night. Another night of these terrors that you face.
Nightmares were something that you, unfortunately, could not avoid no matter how hard you tried. It had come to the point where at times, you were afraid to even shut your eyes. Of course, this wasn’t something that occurred every night, but it was something that happened often enough to cause faint, darkened rings to form beneath your eyes.
You envied the man who laid beside you, sound asleep as if nothing in the world bothered him. Then again, what were you to expect from Xue Yang? He was a beast, what could he possibly fear? If anything, such carelessness must be the very reason for his continuous, undisturbed slumber. Must be nice, being able to rest so peacefully.
With the sight of the ceiling having become agitating to you, you instead turn on your side and close your eyes. Perhaps if you kept them shut for long enough - your body would be tricked into falling asleep? You were desperate at this point, trying anything and everything to drift you off to la-la land.
It never came.
Instead, you laid there; quivering. It seemed that closing your eyes wasn’t the best idea, as the images from your recent terror-filled dream began to play back to you. Yet still, you kept your eyes screwed shut, determined to beat those horrific visions and finally get some much-needed sleep. Unfortunately for you, such peace was never granted. All you saw were the twisted pictures, the terrifying scenes - it started to grow further, toil and fester until you hadn’t even realised your heavy breathing, nor your quaking -
“Y/N?’’
You froze up, brows furrowing and the smallest of whimpers easing past your lips. However, all the fear, all the terror, it faded away with the feel of two strong arms wrapping around your form. In an instant, a wave of relief washed over you as you were pulled into the warm embrace of your lover - who now leaned his chin against your shoulder.
“Oi, what’s going on with you?’’ Voice deep with lingering hoarseness, Xue Yang speaks. For a moment, you refrain from answering him, almost as if you were embarrassed to do so. A pinch to your side makes you yelp and immediately curl inwards as if your body was practically begging him to hold you tighter.
“I-I’m scared. . .’’ Silence settled between the two of you, enough to make your heart pick up again and yet another whimper to leave your lips. This time, however, the male turns you in his arms so that you face him. “Hey,’’ he starts whilst raising his hand to gently cup your cheek, his calloused thumb rubbing against your skin. “What’s there to be afraid of when I’m here, ah?’’
His brows furrow, but you knew better - he wasn’t angry with you. If anything, he was trying to find the right way to comfort you. As stated before, Xue Yang wasn’t the best of people. With you though, he tried his hardest.
You say nothing and instead lean into his touch, your hands immediately taking his robes between your fingers and holding on for dear life. He takes this opportunity to let his other arm wrap around you and pull you closer. Xue Yang knew of your nightmares, you had confided in him a few times and he was well aware of the challenges that you faced when it came to your sleeping schedule.
“Look at me,’’ he keeps his voice low in case he comes off as harsh. The last thing he wanted to do was scare you any further. You don’t listen and keep your eyes tightly sealed. “Y/N look at me.’’ Although this time around his words were a bit firmer, he still kept that low tone as to not startle you. And even so, you refused to open your eyes - frightened that if you were to do so that the monster that lurked within the back of your mind would present itself before you.
You hear nothing for a few, fleeting moments and for a minute you assume that you irritated him. However, all of those worries come to a stand-still once you feel a new warmth against your lips. It took a second, but you soon came to the realisation of your lover’s comforting kiss. That was all you needed for your shoulders to relax and your grip to loosen on him in the slightest. Although short, the affectionate action was enough to get you to open your eyes and gaze back into his.
“You shouldn’t be so afraid, I wouldn’t let anything harm you. But you know that, right?’’ Xue Yang remains incredibly close to you, to the point where both of your lips and brushing against one another. “You’re safe with me, relax.’’ Once more, he pulls you into a kiss. As before, this one was just as loving. This time around, he tilts his head in the slightest - kissing you with a newfound deepness despite only just waking up.
Gratefully, you accept each and every one of his kisses. A distraction, he really knew you well huh? That’s why you loved him after all. Although Xue Yang was considered a demon to most, it appeared as though you managed to tame the raging beast that roared within him - it was strange to most. Xue Yang? Capable of love? It was almost laughable! And yet. . . he never once showed you such horrors. Perhaps when you first met him and during your first stages of knowing one another - but after he fell for you?
All he wanted to do was protect you.
You melt, along with any of your worries as you subconsciously shift closer to him. The feel of his arms around you assured you that you were indeed safe and sound. If that didn’t do the trick, then the way his hand trailed into your hair and caressed your head would. You would admit, it was rare for him to be so gentle during such intimate moments - he was always so rough, so demanding. Of course, you didn’t mind, but during times like this is when you really needed that rare, gentle loving.
“Y/N. . .’’ He breathes after pulling away from you momentarily. “I only want you to focus on me,’’ as he spoke, he continued to shower you with kisses. “Got it? Just keep your attention on me.’’ His words would almost seem demanding - if not for the true intention behind him.
Before you knew it, your back pressed against the bed as he hovered over you, long strands of his dark hair dangling and perfectly framing his youthful features as he captures your lips yet again. And again, and again. As if he was trying to steal your breath away and indeed - keep your attention on him alone. Well, it seemed as though he got his wish, for all you could do was hook your arms around his neck as you eagerly returned his sweet affection.
Xue Yang couldn’t help but smile against your lips. Success. Appears as though you’ve forgotten all about those horrid images. However, this didn’t mean he was letting up any time soon. If anything, he was just getting started. The cultivator would take his time in showering you with love and affection, stealing your breath away and kissing you until you were weak in the knees and barely able to think of anything else other than him.
When he eventually did pull away, you found yourself panting. Lips swollen as you gazed up into those hooded eyes that stared into your own glossy ones. “Feeling better?’’ He raised a hand to caress your cheek once more, refusing to break the closeness between the two of you. “Mhhm,’’ you nod, taking in a shaky breath. “B-But can we continue?’’ You bite into your lip, almost afraid that he’d deny your request.
All you receive is a chuckle as he brings his forehead to yours. “I didn’t say I was stopping.”
And with that, your lips met yet again.

Can I ask for headcanons with mdzs boys reacting to reader's bad habit of sleepwalking? Imagine just boys wondering what the hell are you doing up so late, only to discover you walking around asleep and doing bizarre stuff, and also muttering some funny jibberish. You also running out of the house, in occasion and waking up in a bizarre places.
here’s to your request. enjoy! hope you liked it. wrote for my boys that I have barely anything yet. ♥
TW: SLEEPWALKING
Tumblr media
XUE YANG
Xue Yang thought the first time he caught you up in the middle of the night that you were plotting something.
Apart from that he was hella confused.
It would become a weekly trip for him to follow you around when he had figured out you'd be sleepwalking and stealing chicken from the villigers.
He did not complain as it meant you had food the next day.
He did not know how to act, since you always forget you did so.
Xue Yang tried to keep you from it one night, but you climbed out of the window instead.
He also tried waking you up, ending in him getting hit with a shovel and a very angry, sleep deprived you.
He learned to not do that anymore.
He wondered why he cared in the first place.
Eventually he just let you wander around.
Fun fact: He enjoyed teasing you about your criminal record in stealing chicken the next day.

NIE HUAISANG
The first night Huaisang noticed that you were up this late was when he came home from drinking with friends late at night, wondering why you're still up.
When checking in on you he saw you were fully dressed, ready to run.
Huaisang tried to stop you but you bolted out of the door.
Him comepletely overwhelmed calling the servants to follow you
He eventually caught up on a horse, when he noticed you'd ran into the woods without any sense of direction
At first Huaisang thought it might have been the blade spirit and had his brother check you out the next day. It wasn't.
When it happened again, he followed you trying to guide you back to their manor. He managed to do well in this case.
The third time he had a doctor with him, turns out you were sleepwalking.
Huaisang wanted to wake you but did not know how. He thought touching you would be a good idea, though the doctor just recommended not to do so.
A loud gong was running through your room, which woke you and scared Huaisang just as much as it did you.
He ended up staying with you until you had established a good bed routine for you to no longer walk around.

LAN SIZHUI ( ft. LAN XICHEN )
Sizhui was woken when he heard the guqin play in the middle of the night. Everybody was supposed to be asleep, yet the song of clarity was loud and softly heard in the quarters.
He wasn't the only one pulling up to the scene. The Juniors and Lan Xichen were there too, wondering what happened.
But as quick as you had played, the faster you came to a halt when Lan Xichen asked you what you were doing. Your response: " Love and respect yourself. " It was the 74th rule of the sect. It did not make much sense since you just broke the 15th rule.
Everyone was taken aback, but Sizhui noticed the glassy and confused look on your features, knowing something is up. He waved a hand in front of you but you did not react to his action. You were awake but didn't fully register what happened until spoken to.
He soon figured you might be sleepwalking and told Zewu Jun.
You had been known for not being able to sleep as well as you wanted to, but this was a first for both him and Lan Xichen.
Punishment would not take place, but they both tried to wake you up.
It worked. You woke up wondering why you were there, no idea why you were dressed and had your guqin in front of you.
They explained and Sizhui escorted you back to your chambers.
He'd been instructed to make sure it's not happening again.
But at least they knew you knew the sect rules.

I’ll be with you till the end
youtube
Warning: Angst, suicide, death and mentions of blood. This is also based on the novel and manhua, so people who haven't read the manhua and the novel might get confused.
L/n Y/n was waiting patiently for Xiǎo Xīngchén. He was taking longer than usual and it worried her. As she waited patiently for Xiǎo Xīngchén, she noticed 3 figures in the dark, cloudy town.
"Xīngchén! What happened?" Y/n asked as she noticed the dried blood on his hands as he put down Xuē Yáng.
"This blood isn't mine." said Xiǎo Xīngchén "Ā-Qìng, boil some water and be careful."
Ā-Qìng was going to boil some water but Y/n already boiled the water for her since Ā-Qìng might hurt herself.
"Thank you, um..."
"Y/n, but you can call me jiě jiě*"
"Then jiě jiě it is then."
"Ā-Qìng please hurry!"
"Coming," said Ā-Qìng as she hurried to give the water to Xiǎo Xīngchén.
Xiǎo Xīngchén rolled his sleeves up and then grabbed a cloth to clean the mysterious man's face. As he was cleaning the man's face, y/n noticed that the man looked similar. After he finished cleaning the man's face, y/n instantly knew who the man was.
"Xuē Yáng," she gasped quietly.
"Jiě jiě, is something wrong?"
"No everything is alright" replied Y/n.
"Are you sure, you seem shock. Are you-"
"I'm fine, just... tired."
"Xuē Yáng, what are you planning?" murmured y/n.
"Ā-Qìng, why don't you stay here, while I help Xīngchén to find some wood...
And look out for him" said y/n as she narrowed her head towards to Xuē Yáng.
"Yes, jiě jiě."
After y/n and Xiǎo Xīngchén were gone for a while, they came back and saw Ā-Qìng running towards them.
"Ā-Qìng, is something wrong?" asked Y/n.
"Jiě jiě, I don't trust that guy. He seems dangerous, when will he leave?" said Ā-Qìng as she ran towards them.
"You already ate his candy, Ā-Qìng. So don't try and scare him."
"Wait... Maybe we should try and listen to Ā-Qìng, she may be right." Y/n said as she tried to reason with Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"Y/n, look at the man condition, he's in a poor state. Plus she already ate his candy and he'll probably leave once he heals."
"Alright, don't worry Ā-Qìng. Everything will be fine." assured Y/n.
A couple of months had passed. Xuē Yáng condition has gotten better but he was still staying with them and had planned to do something with Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"Ā-Qìng, could you come here for a minute."
"Yes, jiě jiě?"
"Ā-Qìng, why are you pretending to be blind?"
"Wha...t do you mean?" stuttered Ā-Qìng.
"Don't worry Ā-Qìng, I won't tell Xiǎo Xīngchén. But please don't take advantage of his kindness, we've already dealt with enough grief." Y/n chuckled sadly.
"Don't worry, jiě jiě. You can trust me" smiled Ā-Qìng.
"Alright, you stay here while I'm gone"
Ā-Qìng stayed for a while until she noticed Xuē Yáng was acting strange again. So she followed him and Xiǎo Xīngchén to see what they were doing. She followed them to a village and she was horrid at the sight. She saw corpses everywhere and there was not a single person alive. They were all murdered by Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"Jiě jiě is probably worried about me, I have to go back and tell her what I saw."
"Jiě jiě!"
"Ā-Qìng, where were you? And why are you running so fast?"
"Jiě jiě! I saw Dàozháng killing the villagers! I think that cultivator that we found is a bad guy and not a good guy!"
"I know Ā-Qìng, that's why we must be careful when we are around him. Understand?"
"Yes, Jiě jiě."
Once everyone was asleep, y/n was going to confront Xiǎo Xīngchén about Xuē Yáng.
"Xīngchén, are you sure we can trust that guy? He might be dangerous."
"Y/n, I already told you this. Until he's healed, he can leave"
'"Alright, I just don't want you to be hurt. You already lost your eyesight, and I don't want you to be hurt again." y/n said as she put her hands on the blindfold where his eyes were once there.
"Don't worry about me, as long as we have each other everything will be fine." Xiǎo Xīngchén said as he kissed her on her head.
After another trip from the market, Y/n noticed a figure similar to someone who she knew in the past as the figure and Ā-Qìng arrived. It couldn't be him, could it?
"Ā-Qìng, are you back?"
"Yes, Jiě jiě."
As y/n went to greet Ā-Qìng and the familiar figure. She realised who he was.
"Zǐchēn." gasped y/n as she ran to greet her long, lost friend.
As they greeted each other, they saw Xuē Yáng and Xiǎo Xīngchén together.
"Why is he here?"
"Calm down, he doesn't know. After Ā-Qìng and him saved Xuē Yáng, Xiǎo Xīngchén has been letting Xuē Yáng stay with us. We tried to tell him but he wouldn't listen." sighed Y/n.
She noticed his gripped on Fúxuě getting tighter.
"Zǐchēn where are you going? Please don't do anything reckless." shouted y/n.
As she tried to chase him, she was already too late.
She saw the sight of him being murdered by his own best friend. She knew it wasn't Xiǎo Xīngchén fault but she felt so betrayed, she cried as she saw the sight of Zǐchēn.
"Zǐchēn! Zǐchēn!? Please wake up!" No matter how many times she tried to wake him up, but she was too late.
"Ā-Qìng, come on. They'll probably wonder where we are."
The next day, Xuē Yáng went to the market. Y/n and Ā-Qìng were planning to tell Xiǎo Xīngchén the truth.
As y/n gently pushed Xiǎo Xīngchén inside and told Ā-Qìng to blocked the doors. She sat him down and tried to sound as gentle as possible but she couldn't bare to tell him because he already dealt with enough grief in his life, his jiě jiě had died, his best friend had lost his sight, and Xiǎo Xīngchén had to dug out his own eyes and gave them to his best friend so he can save him.
"Ā-Qìng why don't you tell him first?"
"Tell me what?" Xiǎo Xīngchén asked them.
"Umm... Do you know someone named Xuē Yáng?" asked Ā-Qìng.
"...."
"....Xuē Yáng? Ā-Qìng, how did you learn this name? Who told you of this? Was it y/n?"
"What Ā-Qìng is trying to say is that man is Xuē Yáng. He lied to us. That bastard, thinking he can take advantage of your kindness."
"But his voice is different, and..."
"That bastard disguised his voice on purpose because he was afraid you'll recognise him!" shouted Ā-Qìng. "He also has nine fingers!"
"Nine fingers?!"
"Xīngchén!" y/n said as he collapsed onto a chair.
"How did you found out he has nine fingers?"
"Xīngchén, I saw it with my own eyes. That man looks exactly like him and he does have nine fingers!"
"But how did Ā-Qìng know? Did she touched his fingers?" asked Xiǎo Xīngchén. "But if he really was Xuē Yáng, how could he let you touch his hand without finding about his broken finger?".
"I told her, and..."
"Jiě jiě, it's fine. It's time he does know the truth."
"Tru..th?" stuttered Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"I'm not blind! I can see! I didn't touch his hand, I saw it!"
"You can see?!"
"Xīngchén, please calm down for a second. It wasn't her intention to deceive you, she was just afraid that you'll not let her stay with us if you figured out she wasn't blind." As she said this she noticed blood was underneath his blindfold.
"Ā-Qìng, he's bleeding. Can give me a cloth so I can clean his face."
"Why is he bleeding?" asked Ā-Qìng.
"It's from an old injury," said Xiǎo Xīngchén. "But if it really is him, why did he stay by our side for many years and why didn't he killed us from the start?".
"He was injured, and he needed someone to heal him!" shouted Ā-Qìng.
"Ā-Qìng, you and y/n need to go."
"Me? I'm staying here with you just like I've been doing the past years!" shouted y/n.
"Go!? Aren't you and jiě jiě coming with me?"
"Ā-Qìng, we need to stay here and find out what he wants. If Xiǎo Xīngchén and I go with you, more people from Yì city will be manipulated by him and murdered. Don't worry Ā-Qìng, you're a smart girl. We believe you can survive and provide yourself a good life."
As they were finished talking, Xuē Yáng had just arrived.
"Open up! I thought you guys were leaving? Well, aren't you going to hurry up and remove the door latch and let me in. I'm exhausted."
"Be patient, Ā-Qìng is just changing."
"How long is it going to take? Hurry up, it shouldn't take that long. Now, open up"
"I'm not going to open the door. Kick it open if you dare!" yelled Ā-Qìng.
"Hahaha..." he laughed " What you said. Dàozháng, don't blame me if you have to get the door fixed."
Xuē Yáng took a bite of an apple, he "brought" from the market and then he kicked the door opened.
"Ā-Qìng, use this chance to escape."
"What about you Jiě jiě?"
"Don't worry about me, I'm staying here with Xīngchén. Now go"
Xiǎo Xīngchén and y/n were fighting with Xuē Yáng. Ā-Qìng saw this as her chance to escape as the other two were fighting with him.
"You think it's fun?" asked Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"It is, isn't it?"
"Shut up, how is this fun?" asked y/n, as she pointed her sword to his neck.
"What was your goal? Why did you stay with us for all these years?" Xiǎo Xīngchén asked.
"Who knows? Maybe I was bored?"
Xiǎo Xīngchén then started to cry blood and it was rolling down his face. As he and y/n tried to attack Xuē Yáng, Xuē Yáng tried to continue his story. After he finished his story, y/n shouted "So what if he broke one of your fingers, does that still give you the right to wipe out their entire sect!?".
"Well, you can thank Cháng Cíán for the Xuē Yáng you see today" he fired back.
"If you wanted to take revenge on the Cháng clan, you could've broken one of his fingers, but why did you have to murder the innocents?" asked Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"It was only 50 lives, but how could they make up for one of my fingers?"
Xiǎo Xīngchén then nearly collapsed but y/n had caught him. " Xiǎo Xīngchén, are you alright?"
"I'm fine."
"Xuē Yáng, I should've never trusted you! You truly are... absolutely... disgusting!"
"Xiǎo Xīngchén, I hate people like you the most. You all act so brave and heroic, and think you guys are saints!"
"Enough!" shouted y/n. "Xuē Yáng, what makes you think that you can shout at Xiǎo Xīngchén this way!? If it weren't for him you would still technically be out in the streets and you'll probably be dead!"
"Let me ask you this y/n, who is Xiǎo Xīngchén to be disgusted by me?" questioned Xuē Yáng.
"What are you talking about?" Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"Well 2 years ago, we went out to kill walking corpses did we not?"
"Yes, but why are you bringing this up?" said Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"Nothing, but it's really unfortunate that you're blind. You couldn't see their faces in shock and the terror on their faces. The family from young to old were all kneeling down to you. Hitting their faces down to the ground and were trying to beg for mercy. If I didn't cut their tongues out they would've been definitely be begging like "Dàozháng, please spare us. We have a family to raise and our children are still young."
"You're lying! You're lying! Y/n please tell me this isn't true."
"..." y/n didn't answer and she remained silent.
"You're lying! You're lying! You tricked me!"
"Yes, who would knew that it was me deceiving you, after all, this time." laughed Xuē Yáng.
Y/n then stabbed Xuē Yáng on the side because she couldn't bare to listen to this torture.
"Fine, if you both don't believe then let me show you a prime example of someone you two knew."
Xuē Yáng then snapped his fingers, and he summoned...
"Zǐchēn" gasped y/n.
As Xiǎo Xīngchén had Shuānghuá against Fúxuě, he finally realised who he was fighting with.
"Zǐchēn....Zǐchēn, is that you?" he asked. "Please say something."
Xuē Yáng chuckled at this sight "Must I remind you of the identity of the corpse you killed yesterday?"
"No, you're lying. Y/n please tell me he's lying."
"I'm sorry," cried y/n. "He's telling the truth."
Xiǎo Xīngchén immediately collapsed to the ground and started to cry blood. Y/n then pointed her sword to Xuē Yáng and yelled at him "Xuē Yáng, how dare you manipulate Xiǎo Xīngchén. What did he do to deserve this? Tell me why are you doing this!"
"It's not like you're completely innocent y/n."
"What... Do you mean?"
"You could've done something and gone to get help but no, you just stood there and watched him murder innocents."
"No," gasped y/n. "Shut up! Shut up! No!"
"Yes, this is your fault if you have gone to get help than none of this would've happened," Xuē Yáng told her.
"No that's not true! That isn't true!" y/n cried.
Xuē Yáng then walked over to Xiǎo Xīngchén and then he started to mock him.
"What's wrong? Is the reunion of three best friends so emotional that it's making you cry?" mocked Xuē Yáng.
"The hilarity is killing me. Look at yourself! You can't even save yourself! You're a total failure to be stuck in such a position and this is your fault!
"Please, have mercy..." cried Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"Mercy? Weren't you going to stab me with your sword a moment ago?" laughed Xuē Yáng.
Xiǎo Xīngchén immediately grabbed his sword and then cut himself in the neck.
"Xīngchén!" cried y/n as she ran to his body. "Why did you this? Why?"
"Haha... look at yourself y/n, who's going to save you now. Why do you even bother trying? Everyone you love is dead."
"Xīngchén!" Y/n cried as she hugged his body, and her tears were falling onto his cheek. She noticed his sword, so she grabbed it and then she stabbed herself, blood started to appear on her hanfu and blood spilt out of her mouth, she then collapsed and held onto Xiǎo Xīngchén's hand.
"Xīngchén" she whispered as she stared at him and held his hand tightly as she took her last dying breath.
