Something other about his eyes
Bonus! Based on this quick thing I did this afternoon and the idea took a bit more shape and turned into that thing from above uEK
#not too much effort on the colors with this one#o would’ve left it just with lineart but at the end I thought it would look nicer with some rough shadows#shadowing. you know what I meant.#his plant markings being extremely faint on his eyes when they aren’t glowing is very true to me also#I think itd be awesome if Vash’s eyes would just look like that when he isn’t masking#or they could be a bit more lax but still look like they are staring far far away into the void#or into your souls if you so happen to make eye contact with him. like woowoo over here#he is probably listening for one of his sisters who is not so close to him. maybe even Kni? who knows it’s up to interpretation#Vash’s hair can be such a nightmare also. I do not think of physics when drawing him whatsoever#I give him the Mickey Mouse ears treatment sometimes and some other I actually respect the fact that his hair will always be swept#to the right. if you haven’t noticed that yet. always wanted to arrange my artworks in a gradient and since I started drawing again over a year ago, I was finally able to put this together 🫶

Been working on this a bit off and on today in my free time, been having fun. More in the tags
#I have no self control. I’ve began writing out an experimental first chapter for the Ouroboros cycle au that’s pinned to my page#it’s in second person to set the feeling of the story. WOW animation frames part two electric boogaloo- *gets squashed by an anvil*
Sorry wha. Oh yeah talking about frames here sure I can do that. So funny thing is I’m very disorganized in my work ethic (if it wasn’t already glaringly obvious) and am working on two main animatics at the same time right now. It’s a struggle because I’ve gotten attached to both of these ideas; so I don’t want to feel like I’m dedicating all my attention to only one whilst discarding the other…even if logically that would be the most time efficient way to get things done
I can’t figure out if it would be more fitting to release the “lighthearted wholesome redemption arch/rekindled Meggy friendship musical number/boosting Mr. Puzzles morale” one first, or if I’d rather release the more “somber/introspective song ballad for Mr. Puzzles dealing with hardships throughout his life” one first. I think the framework of both premises could work. Since my last animatic was Meggy & Puzzles…and yet the recent SMG4 episode really highlighted Mr. Puzzles struggles and hidden insecurities. BOTH IDEAS ARE FITTING I DON’T KNOW WHICH TO WORK ON HELP JKSJSKSP. Do we choose to focus on cheerful fluff or depression angst—the age old dilemma
Anywho first three snapshots included here are from the aforementioned musical animatic one. There’s gonna be a short little tap dance sequence because what’s a musical without one of those (I’m scare about animating the dancing help I have no experience with it. Why must my ideas be so ambitious and hard to draw). Also the song explicitly has a lyric mentioning dancing so gotta fit it in for that reason too lol. And the two grey images are for the sad animatic—I ended up redrawing the panel so it don’t look as sketchy :3
