gn!reader, no physical descriptions. fluff fluff fluff. alcohol mentions, drunk reader. dialogue heavy at the start.

“You need to propose to me.”

Kuroo, who is enjoying his drink, begins to choke. “I what?”

You roll your eyes with a barely concealed smile.

“Not for real, silly, just a fake one.”

He looks at you like you’ve gone insane. “I’m not following.”

“We’re broke university students, do you really think we can afford to pay for more than two drinks tonight? If you propose, I bet people would make a drunken mistake and offer to buy us a celebration round.” You wiggle your eyebrows at him as he continues to give you that same incredulous look.

“That’s-“ he cuts himself off before he can finish that thought and starts with a new one. “I doubt that would work. I mean, maybe at a restaurant with free dessert, but a bar? Really?”

“I’ve seen it done in stranger places!” You defend yourself. “Besides, you’ve been sipping on your drink for the past 25 minutes. If the ice had poison in it, you’d be dead by now,” you lean back and cross your arms.

Your boyfriend just shakes his head. “Your mind is a very interesting place. Alright, fine. We’ll do it, but if it doesn’t work that’s going to be really embarrassing. Hand me your ring, I’ll do it when more people are around.”

You only have to wait another ten minutes before a group of business men having a meeting a couple of tables over appear to be drunk enough to invest in young love.

Your boyfriend nods once to signal that he’s going to do it and soon enough he’s on one knee, fake tears forming at the corners of his eyes and a dusting of pink on his cheeks that make you want to kiss them.

(Your heart jumps that the thought that he could do this for real one day).

“You’re the love of my life,” he begins, and you make a mental note that he either has a bright future in acting or his drink really is too strong, despite his insistence that he could handle it earlier.

A lady one table over gasps and draws more attention to the performance in front of the customers.

“And I absolutely adore every single thing about you. I had a whole plan for this, but with the way you’re looking tonight, I can’t wait a second longer. We’ve managed to get many years together already, and I’d be honoured to spend the rest of our lives just like this. Will you marry me?”

You’re genuinely touched at his words and the sincerity in his tone almost makes you forget it’s fake.

Not wanting to make your audience wait much longer, you make a big show of nodding your head and jumping into his crouched form with a loud “yes!”

Drunken cheers are only background noise while you press against his chest. His heartbeat eliminates the chance of you focusing on anything but him.

Kuroo tips his head down to whisper, “think we pulled it off?”

You nod against him and start to get up. He looks over to see one of the drunk business men coming over to greet you.

“Congratulations on your engagement! Let us buy the happy couple some drinks!”

The man’s face is flushed and he gestures to his table. “Order whatever you’d like, it’ll be put on our tab.”

You fake surprise. “Oh my goodness, that’s very generous of you, but we could never take advantage of your kindness like that!”

Beside you, your ‘fiancé’ stifles a laugh but the man doesn’t notice. “No, I insist! You should celebrate.”

This time Kuroo takes over. “Ah… well, thank you, sir. Rest assured we won’t go too crazy.”

The man laughs and claps him on the back. “What a polite couple of kids you are! Reminds me of me and my wife,” he winks before heading back to his table, whistling some tune.

You spin around and look up at your boyfriend with a smug grin. “So what are we getting first?”

A couple of hours later, you’re both stumbling into your campus apartment, giggling and trying to shush each other despite not having any other roommates.

You somehow manage to get through your night routines and fall back into your bed soon after. You’re a far more wasted than Kuroo is (he always drinks less than you to be able to take care of you), so he tries to get you to sip on some water.

He watches you with a silly grin as you fiddle with your “engagement” ring. You’ve since slipped it back onto your index finger where it originally was this evening, but you move it back to your ring finger and fiddle with it.

“I think…” your words are slightly slurred and laced with sleep. “I mean, I know… that I don’t want my real engagement ring to be diamond.”

His grin widens so much his cheeks begin to hurt. “No? So what will it be, baby?”

You form your own smile. “I’m sure I’ll love whatever you come up with. You know me best after all.”

He forces you to take another sip of water when your words don’t get any less coherent. While you drink he thinks of the ruby ring tucked away somewhere at Kenma’s house. You’re far too good at sniffing out clues and he’s never been good at keeping secrets from you.

You’re still in university, it’s far too soon to get engaged for real- you’ve both always said you wanted to wait until you’re done with school- but he’s been saving up for that ring since high school. he’s always knows you would be the one for him.

So when the time comes he’ll be ready. With a speech much better than whatever he said tonight.

“Alright, let’s get some sleep. You’re going to have the worst hangover tomorrow, you haven’t had that much to drink in a while.”

You tug at his wrist before he can shut the lamp off. “Wait, don’t you want to celebrate our engagement?”

“Sleep, baby.”

You pout a bit. “Don’t you think we celebrated enough tonight?”

You stare at him and he sighs. “There’s plenty of time for celebrating our fake engagement some more tomorrow,” he shuts the lamp off and wrangles you down with him. “Now it’s time for sleep.”

“‘m not tired,” you mumble, obviously lying. “I could go all night.”

You settle onto your pillow and he strokes your cheek. “I know, sweetheart, you’re a fighter.”

You nod as you begin to doze off.

He notices the ring still on your finger and he smiles softly.

The hangover you’ll be sporting tomorrow will definitely have been worth it.

What a close one! Jonathan came in with 27.7%, the mysterious Mr. Morse with 24.9% and, delicious irony of ironies, London Dracula with 18.9%. Rest in pieces. Now, what does all this mean going forward?

First, just to reconfirm: I will absolutely be looking into the costs for having more than one plushie character produced at a time. For all that Mina has the top spot if it comes down to a solo run, Nobody Wants to Separate the Gothic Horror Soulmates, even as wee little plushies. It hurts my heart to think of. Mina and Jonathan deserve to sit side by side on everyone’s pillow. Just as Quinn Morse deserves to haunt the pillow next to theirs while casually throttling and carving London Dracula into pieces. For enrichment.

But beyond that, some other key things:

How is this getting done?

Sadly, I was not a cool enough kid for Makeship to greenlight a collaboration with me. Tragique. But while I was sitting around waiting for them to get back to me, I had time to browse around for other options. During that sniffing around I dug up a couple of promising manufacturers—one of which has some really neat options for not only plush toys, but all sorts of bric-a-brac like stationery, shirts, bags, cups, et cetera—and I plan to reach out to them for quotes to start with. Nothing really gets to move forward until I can nail down prices and the amount of X plushies to be made.

I am more than a little hesitant to tell anyone MAKE ME 1000+ PLUSHIES, PLEASE, THE TUMBLR POLL SAID THEY’RE GOOD FOR IT. These aren’t as simple as print/make-on-demand products, so I need to be careful estimating the amount of folks ready and willing to drop money on the little guys. But I will keep everyone updated on the numbers regardless!

Sooo is this a crowdfunding thing or an investment or what?

Don’t know yet. I am still between jobs at the moment—reminder to check out my Ko-Fi if you want to drop me a buck or commission some art!—but if this is something I can safely drop some of my own money in with the guarantee that it will let me do better than break even, I’ll do what I can out of pocket. However, if the cost of making something of good quality turns out too steep, I’ll start looking into stuff like Kickstarter and Backerkit and so on. I want to be sure I’m not gutting anybody’s wallet to pull this off and I want to be double-sure that what we’re paying for isn’t some flimsy throwaway junk. We are all here on the same Dracula book club starving artist site, so It Has to Be Worth It and not a money-sink for anyone.

For the plushies specifically, this is when I’ll start:

Polishing up the current four designs into cleaner illustrations with different angles to provide for mockup samples with whoever I pick to manufacture with. If I get stuck on something—(which is likely)—I may throw up another poll to bug everyone about palettes and fashion choices. I have a few more designs I haven’t dropped yet for Epilogue Harkers, a non-Bloofer Lucy, and keychains that I’d love to share too!

Eyeballing materials. I’m already picturing a very close-cut cloth for the build and clothes, but I need to decide on filling too. Stiff overstuffing to hold a pose versus softer/lighter plush for floppy cuddleability. 

Poking at other character roughs, ala the Suitor Squad, the Weird Sisters, Van Helsing, Renfield, and Baby Quincey. And if all of those go well…

…maybe some designs for other favorites in the public domain playground. (Looks meaningfully at Clarimonde, Carmilla, Victor Frankenstein and the Creature, the King in Yellow, too many others.) ((But that’s all far-future stuff at the moment.))

Cool! But you also mentioned something about other merch?

I did.

Because goddamn do I want some Dracula-themed stationery. Journals! Memo pads! Pens! Every day we don’t have these things with the Harkers’ mark upon them is a victory for the forces of Count Dracula’s document-destroying evil. Likewise for shirts, totes, mugs, keychains, face masks and other things that could use some novel-flavored goodies. Hell, I’ll probably even get on with making stuff for The Vampyres to link on my website too. Because I am. Maybe behind on that. By several months.

Anyway.

I’ve got to start working on some designs for those too while the plushie process is progressing. Pray that my carpals don’t get tunneled.

Alright lads, some fun news!

I am about 60 followers away from 500 followers here on Tumblr, and I want to do something to celebrate!

It feels very obvious to do something in the Dear-Reader-verse, considering that fic was what caused me to get a Tumblr in the first place lololol

I want to start working on it so I can drop it right when I read 500 followers (so, yes, the sooner I get to 500 the sooner it’ll be posted, do what you will with that info :P), and I thought it would be fun to let you guys decide!

Now, whichever options lose aren’t gone forever. Odds are I’ll eventually write them, maybe for another follower count or fun occasion!

The Stars in the Sky and Sunsettias on the Ground (2)

Part 2 of sunsettia sized in Teyvat! I’m gonna be calling this “the Stars in the Sky and Sunsettias on the Ground” from now on. This is based on the sdrgau by @arn9tails. As of the poll results, the Traveler is Lumine.

Part 1

The Only Way to Go is Forward

Lifting your head out of your hands, you took another look at the statue. The winged figure standing atop its pedestal would probably tower over you like its twin in the city courtyard. You shook your head, trying not to think about how overwhelming it all was. Instead, you focus on the blue glow of the stone. 

That should mean that the Traveler is or at least was here, but you don’t know how long ago this was the case. Maybe if they were close enough to here, you’d be able to run into them and ask them for help. They were probably your best bet to find someone who knew how you could get home and you could meet some vision holders on the way! Though you may need to convince them to bring you along since you were even smaller than Paimon and couldn’t even fly like her. You’d have a harder time keeping up unless someone carried you somehow… Physically you wouldn’t offer much, especially given your new size. So how would you earn your keep?

There was one thing you could potentially provide: information. Depending on when in the game could you call it that anymore? you had been put at, you might have valuable information about the future and how to solve certain problems. And if the universe has taken pity on me, you thought as you patted yourself down in the hopes of finding a certain device, I could find any information we needed at the swipe of a screen… 

Maybe the universe did pity you, sitting under a tree with fruit as big as you were, because you pulled your phone out of your pocket. “But will it work?” you asked the breeze as you turned it on. You could almost cry tears of joy when you saw that it somehow had internet. Until you realized it somehow had internet. You were in the middle of a bunch of a clearing far from the closest human civilization. The human civilizations didn’t have the internet either, the closest thing being the Akasha in Sumeru. On the other side of the continent. So what was this?

“Well, I guess I’ll literally add that to the list of things I need to figure out,” you said flatly, opening a new note and typing up a list:

With that out of the way, you opened your messages. Well, you tried to open your messages. As soon as it opened, it would crash and kick you out. You tried again, one, two, three, four more times and it would not open. You stared at the screen in a mix of panic and irritation. Why isn’t it working? Are you not going to be able to contact anyone from home? If the internet somehow works, why can’t you just text someone?

Actually, does the internet actually work? You open Google, hurriedly typing the first thing that comes to mind. Despite your misspelling in your hurry, when you pressed “go”, images and the wiki page for sunsettias had been pulled up successfully. You stare at the screen for a moment. “What does this even mean…” you groan.

Your eyes close in disappointment as you slip your phone back into your pocket and try to stand, using the tree to help you support your weight. There were still hours before the sun set, but with legs like yours the clock was ticking four times as fast. You needed to get going now if you were going to find the Traveler soon. 

You took a momentary look around for anything that would potentially make the trip quicker, but you found nothing. Groaning, you start heading closer to the path, though you stay in the grass just in case. You don't want to be spotted by something hungry…

Three damn days. You'd been walking for three damn days before you finally, finally, came across the Traveler. You were so thirsty, not trusting water straight from the lake you left behind and having nothing to carry it with anyway. The only water you had was from the fruits you’d been relying on. On the way you had eaten small (in comparison to the whole fruit at least) pieces of sunsettias that had fallen to the ground, little chunks of apples, and bits of sweetberries you were able to make fall by shaking and pushing down the plant's stalks. 

So when you saw that head of pale hair just outside the Whispering Woods, your heart almost stopped. The sun was almost gone from the sky when you found her. You fell to the ground panting and for a moment you wanted to just lay there, but you couldn’t risk the Traveler leaving. You propped up your upper body and yelled as loud as your throat would allow in its water-deprived and sore state. “Someone help me!”

“Did you hear that?” you overhear Paimon ask. There’s no response, but you hear footsteps approaching. As she get closer, you feel the ground shake a little. It’s a little frightening even though right now it means help. “Hello?” the Traveler—Lumine—calls out. Before you can say anything Paimon spots you on the ground and announces it. Pointing, she says, “Hey! Look down there!” Lumine’s gaze falls on you and widens in surprise. She crouches over you and pokes your shoulder, which sort of feels like being nudged by somebody’s elbow. “Are you… alright?” she asks. 

It’s odd hearing her voice. Though she's still not exactly a big talker, you sort of forgot that she actually does speak more often than not. The lack of voice acting makes her seem quieter, you guess. “I need help..” you say quietly, still catching your breath. “I’ve been walking for… well, it feels like forever…”

Paimon floated over to you, tilting her head. “Paimon doesn’t mean to be rude, but, uh… what are you?” she asked as she clasped her hands behind her back. “Maybe they’re another Paimon, just smaller,” Lumine mused. “Hey! Paimon is the only Paimon!” she declared just as you said, “I’m not ‘another Paimon.’ I’m [Name].”

“See?” Paimon said smugly at technically being correct. “They’re not another Paimon. They’re [Name].” She turned back to you, floating above you and reaching out to help you up. “But, uh, why are you so small? Are you actually a fairy like everyone calls Paimon?” she asked. Lumine looked at you, seeming just as interested in the answer.

You shook your head as you got to your feet with her help. “I’m not a fairy. At least as far as I know of.” You actually considered her question for a moment. Had being taken here actually turned you into a fairy or sprite or some other kind of fae being? You shook your head again, feeling stupid for considering something like that, but you couldn’t drop the idea completely. At this point, anything was possible. “And I don’t know why I’m ‘so small’ either…”

Lumine hummed in thought and tried to hand you a flask of water before realizing that it was almost as big as you were. “Oh. That’s not gonna work… Do you have a container?” You shook your head. If you had a container, you would have sucked it up and carried some of the lake water with you. She looked unsure what to do. “Uh, I'm sure we'll figure something out. I can drop you off in Mondstadt and see if someone can fix you up there, but I can't stay. I need to get to Starsnatch Cliff,” she said, reaching for you with one hand. 

With a sudden surge of adrenaline, you bolted a few feet away. “Hey, hold on—” “Take me with you,” you say, voice trembling with adrenaline that was still pumping through you. “I want to join you guys on your journey. You're my best bet if I want to find a way home. I'm not from Teyvat either,” you explained so they wouldn't have a chance to not hear you out.

The blonde girl stared at you, processing what you just said. “You're an outlander like Lumine?” Paimon asked. With a nod you approached them again. “I can be helpful,” you promised. “I… I know things. I can help you figure out what to do.”

Lumine raised an eyebrow and crossed their arms. “You, what, see the future? Are you an astrologer?” she asked skeptically. You gave a hesitant nod. “Something like that.”

“Oh! If you're telling the truth, and you really can see the future or something, maybe you really are a fairy!” Paimon exclaimed in excitement. “But how do we know you are telling the truth?” You blinked. Ah, shit. How to prove… 

Your eyes lit up, an idea blooming in your head. “You're going to Starsnatch Cliff, you said? What are you doing there?” you asked, already suspecting the answer. “Are you going to see a dragon?” Lumine frowned. “How did you— oh, right. How do I know you didn't just overhear our conversation before you got our attention?” she asked, now outright suspicious of you. 

“I can prove I actually know things beyond normal knowledge,” you say in an attempt to sound confident and maybe a bit mystical. “The Holy Lyre isn't going to work because an Abyss mage will show up,” you inform the two of them. “I saw it in my dreams.” She'd be more understanding of that claim in the future, you were sure. Even if it felt wrong to tell such a lie now. “If I'm correct, can I travel with the two of you? I'll be able to help some.”

Paimon looked over to her. “Well, Paimon isn't fully convinced yet, but it couldn't hurt to see, right? Besides, they're even smaller than Paimon! What can they really do?” The Traveler was silent, looking down at you. She wasn't sure just yet, but you were really small. And she understood wanting to find a way home… “Okay,” she agreed reluctantly. 

“We'll see.”

How many OCs/characters do you have exactly? And what are their names. I'm curious (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)✨ (If you don't mind, I'd be interested in hearing something about them, as well)

(Unfortunately I'm not good at getting into any AU I want to get into right away, so I'll start though by getting to know the characters (Ｔ▽Ｔ))

oh boy, my OC’s huh? Okay, so outside of the ROTTMNT fandom, I have, uh, a lot let's just say. But I hardly use them, and they mostly exist for my friend who loves to RP with me and is obsessed with me making OC’s so she could like, self-indulge herself with, which is fine and fun!

But for the TMNT/ROTTMNT fandom alone?

I currently have 9? OC’s right now. Some of which are already known and named and are based off the ROTTMNT series. I also have 9 potential future fics (ones that I haven’t drafted/started yet, but I have a poll saved in my drafts for when I wanna post it to see what fic out of those I should make next)

Anyway, so I have basically a lot more OC’s in mind, I think I posted maybe 3 or 4 potential OC’s to use for some of the future fics but they don’t have any names at the moment.

So, getting back to your question, I’ll name the ones that I already have:

Adriaen: So, most of my followers are hopefully aware of who Adriaen is as he was the first OC I created and posted his fic on here. He is from my fic Collide, which is set in the canon timeline show and has just finished season 1. I’ll be making season 2 and the movie in the future. Adriaen is a turtle who found by Leo when he was three years old and had ever since lived with the brothers and Splinter. He has no clue who he is related too, and therefore as he got older (following canon timeline now) he hired another mutant turtle named Ronin to go and basically try and find anything be could of Adriaen’s DNA. (So far it hasn’t been revealed on who Adriaen is, that will happen much later on) in the Collide story, Leo has had a crush on Adriaen since he was about 7 years old but is too I guess shy to confess to Adriaen who remains oblivious to Leo’s love.

Ronin: Ronin is my second OC, also set in the Collide story. Ronin is more of a mystery and is considered the “enemy” in the fic. When really? He’s just misunderstood and actually helps out the turtles a lot. He was once the youngest Battle Nexus champion for Big Mama who forced him to fight after she took him under her wing when he was a little kid living on the streets of the Hidden City. Ronin has…been through a lot of trauma (some that haven’t been revealed yet) and Ronin retired early as a fighter and convinced Big Mama to let him be his own turtle. So now, Ronin is something of a freelance worker. Taking on any job, such as spying, stealing, stalking and even killing. Whatever his clients want, he can do. He was hired by Adriaen to find out more about Adriaen’s DNA, in order to do that, Ronin disguises himself as Draxum’s assistant. I don’t want to spoil who Ronin is if you haven’t already read the book or know, but let’s just say Ronin and Draxum have a history together.

Giovanni: Giovanni is the third oc I created and is from my current book I’m working on, Eyes On You. Which leans towards a much darker and angsty theme. Giovanni is the oldest brother of the turtles but he was separated at birth? Creation? He was discovered by the EPF when he was only a baby after Draxum’s lab blew up, and was “raised” by the EPF for years. He was actually abused a lot of the times in the EPF, becoming scared of needles and whatnot. At some point, he was sent to the Prison Dimension by accident and an experiment gone wrong and was trapped with the Krang for a decade, being tortured by them and suffering lots of trauma. I mean lots. Years later he returns to earth when Leo was in the prison dimension (movie timeline) and Giovanni saved him and got out. Since then, he is adjusting to the world and getting use to family. But currently he ends up back in the clutches of the EPF.

Three/Luca: Three/Luca is my fourth and next OC that I’ll be uploading a fic about soon. He is the biological twin brother of Leo, having been separated at birth and raised by Draxum who had abused him to shape him into being the perfect warrior. He is named Three due to Draxum numbering the turtles on who was created in order. Raph being One, Leo being Two, Three being, well Three, Donnie four, and Mikey 5. At some point in the story, Three joins his family and is eventually given a new name, Luca. He’s a pretty grumpy turtle who doesn’t like his family for a while, he and Donnie especially don’t get along.

Matt: Matt is my next OC and is the youngest son of Adriaen and Leo. And youngest twin brother of Nico. Him and Nico are around in the bad future timeline, with the two sharing the DNA of Leo and Adriaen. I’ve been trying to keep their backstory a bit of a secret, but I’ll talk more about them in the future. Matt is essentially a lot like Leo in terms of personality.

Nico: Nico is my next OC and is the oldest son of Adriaen and Leo. And oldest twin brother of Matt. Him and Matt are around in the bad future timeline, with the two sharing the DNA of Leo and Adriaen. I’ve been trying to keep their backstory a bit of a secret, but I’ll talk more about them in the future. Nico is essentially a lot like Adriaen in terms of personality. He and his father Leo don’t quite see eye to eye on things and they argue a lot.

Caden: Caden is newer OC I’ve made, who I’m still figuring out the details of. But I’m sure you’ve seen him around on my profile, especially recently with the Fanarts I’ve been getting from @cimmerian1275 . Caden’s story, Do I Look Like Him, is set in the bad future timeline where Leo has “died” but Mikey transferred his soul to the nearest being that could possibly store him, and that was Caden who had been in hiding in Draxum’s underground lab. Draxum created Caden 17 years ago in the Krang war as a backup in case one of the brothers died for good. Caden now has Leo who is actually alive and is just kind of living inside of Caden, sometimes possessing him so that he can talk and whatnot. Leo’s body is preserved in a stasis tube much like how Caden has been for years. Caden in the story suffers a lot of trauma, that being identity crisis as lots of time he is mistaken to be Leo as they look alike.

Dante: Dante is an old OC but he’s also I suppose new? I haven’t posted much about him simply because he was like I guess a concept OC? Or an OC I had in mind to make but just haven’t focused on a lot in comparison to my other ocs. Essentially, Dante is the son of Donnie, or more specifically a clone of sorts of Donnie. Draxum created him in case Donnie had one day died. Donnie is not happy about this and refuses to accept Dante as his son/clone. He ignores him a lot and avoids him. But over time and through challenges they’ll get along.

Zenix: Now Zenix. I haven’t posted anything about him. Or if I did, it’s very brief and his name is probably not even mention. Fun fact, Zenix was actually the first TMNT OC I’ve made before Adriaen was going to be released. His world is not set in the ROTTMNT series/fandom but is actually set in the TMNT 2012 universe. His story was either going to be a Leo X OC or Donnie X OC, but after time, I’m not sure what route to go with, and I’m currently debating if his story should be a canon X oc or just only a OC centric fic. Either way, Zenix works for Shredder. He was I guess captured by the Foot in Japan and was trained and abused to be a fighter for Shredder’s army/clan. Zenix goes with Karai to New York and he meets the turtles. At some point in the story, he works as a spy for Shredder and pretends to be on the turtles side, living with them and helping them out in missions. Zenix however betrays them, a lot of times actually but all because he’s actually scared to leave Shredder who always manipulates Zenix into staying with him. Zenix to put it bluntly, suffers from Stockholm syndrome with Shredder. But over time, he actually does leave Shredder and join the turtles, but he still shows some trauma. Zenix’s story is called Puppeteer (which is in drafts atm)

So I have had this thought in my mind as I am replaying all the games again. I am someone who started with veilguard and worked backwards so do forgive me if I don’t get all the lore I’m still learnin and since BioWare probably won’t give us another ima do this. I really really wish I was able to play as a character that has a buddy. Like Justice or Spite or even play as a creature like Cole who gradually becames more human or spirit. Can you tell I also loved the head canon of rook being a spirit >.>

Main Character & Backstory:

My idea for this is MC (Might turn into a story later honestly maybe even an interactive one you guys can help me with) Is either from the fade or possessed by one. Cause I want a buddy to talk to to! They may not like me or they maybe do! I feel like we had a lot of protagonists, warden, Hawke, Inquisitor, And Rook all of them had their things ya know? I want this ones to be Either creature of the fade which woah crazy why would a fade creature save the world or a possession maybe from demon, spirit or even a god kinda like how mythal and Morrigan work. (Still just ideas flowing as they come in)

Companions:

I feel like it would be a cool narrative. And then thinking things like companions. Maybe there were non-romancable characters that you really wanted to romance. Or companions that didn’t get more love in other games. Who would you bring back? What new ones would you want to see?

Personally with the idea of it being a fade creature or possessed person (abomination) I’d probably want to bring back Cole as a mentor like what Varric was for rook in a sense? Would old protagonists come back? Their offspring’s?Feel like that makes sense for at least Cole to show up but you guys tell me who you’d want.

If I think of new companion idea I’ll either add to this post or make a new one depending if people actually want to hear it lol.

Where would you guys want to go? What places would you want to expand on and explore more?

Honestly I’m a huge huge sucker for Treviso. It reminds me a lot of home so I’d Probably want more Antiva especially since at least at the end of my game they found liberation. I’d want to see what they do in the future with their freedom.

And as much as we get stuck in the fade, I just want to able to explore more of it. I feel like there’s just a lot more ground to cover in the fade. Idk I could be crazy for that thought. Again feel free to put in your two cents.

Villains:

Honestly I got nothing about who I’d cast as a villain here. Or what type of character I would create or if we turned another beloved character into a villain, honestly dunno dunno what they want.

It was a crime to not give Rook a cat or dog in Veilguard. Because inquisitor literally had a horse, Hawke had a dog, and So did the warden. Sorry but my baby here gets a cat. I’m giving this child a cat or maybe you’re able to choose. Cat, dog bird, griffon? Take it here.

Anyway, this was just an idea I have no idea if I’ll make it into a story or if people are actually interested in it I’ll turn it into something interactive that all my buddies and you, if you’re interested too. I wanted to know if you guys are okay and would like a hybrid au. This will be another series but much longer than Bright Sun and maybe the same amount of chapters as my Ateez Circus series.

I have started this au and I will now continue and plan since most people on my poll voted for it. Bright Sun has a lot of chapters to go but I am almost finished writing it. Of course, if you request scenarios with bright sun characters, I’ll write them, but I need some time for that.

Otherwise, I’m starting a new au. When Bright Sun is almost finished I’ll write a preview and new master list.

A situation I wanted to cover was if you were comfortable with smuts. I have it in my guidelines I could write them for Enhypen except for Niki. Im the same age as Jungwon, so I don't feel comfortable writing for anyone younger than me but if most of you feel uncomfortable reading Enhypen smuts I won't do it.

CIRCUS READERS:

I wanted to see if you guys would like a dragon au. This series will be shorter but it has the potential to be another long series if you guys want. You’ll need to read it to understand what I mean but that’s a future poll to worry about.

It’ll be much shorter than a circus. Around twelve chapters with my goal trying to hit 3k words in each. Of course, the series is still going on. So circus isn’t even close to being finished. Nor am I close to finishing the writing process. I’m around halfway done with Seonghwa and Hongjoong’s chapters so I’m still gonna miss three members more.

I’ll start to organize this au and it will be previewed when I’m almost done with uploading all the chapters for Circus.

Eddie looks perfect. Hair beautifully laid, which now explains what he's been doing in the shower for so long, beautiful dark burgundy shirt hugs his muscular shoulders and big hands which are getting bigger and bigger from Eddie's gym workouts over last two months, and his thick thighs are covered with rather tight black jeans, and the moment Eddie bends over for the bag, revealing a view of a gorgeous ass, Buck loses connection with reality for a second. Eddie looks perfect, hot and breathtaking. He’s so beautiful especially when his lips stretch into a smile and his cheeks turn red. 

“Who's the lucky one, Eddie?” Chim asks and Eddie blushes more.

But Buck hides himself that moment in his locker praying for gods to strike him with lightning again right now.

Because Eddie looks like that for someone who’s not Buck. And Buck can’t stop thinking if would Eddie look like that for him three months ago.

Buck doesn’t even need confirmation from Eddie to know that he is going on a date right now. He knows him too well to know it’s not Eddie’s everyday style.

Buck hoped things would be different with Eddie, but Eddie is going on a date. And now Buck knows he can't have a good ending. The universe is doing everything to prevent him from getting it. And he's so angry about everything. At the universe and its stupid jokes, at Eddie for something which is out of his control, but Buck is still angry. But the main thing is on himself, for letting himself believe that such a good thing as Eddie's love can be real.

Like Buck can deserve something as good as Eddie’ s love. Like Eddie and his love can be something which stays forever with someone like him.

"Hey, Eds, I... Maybe you want to go out with me? Like a date?" Buck says uncertainty even though he is almost sure Eddie will say yes.

"Buck," Eddie says his name with so much panic and Buck sees how he tries to find a way to escape the conversation. Buck is sure Eddie calculates whether he will be able to get behind the wheel and drive away without hitting him.

It goes worse than he expected. 

"I don't think it's a good idea." 

And just like that Buck's heart is broken. He hears the sound of shattered hopes for a future with Eddie, for his boundless love, like porcelain breaking into small pieces, tearing him apart from the inside, and something suffocates him, and Buck feels like at the moment when he spat out his own blood in front of all his family. He wouldn't mind a new blood clot killing him now. Faster and not as painful as a broken heart and eventually a broken friendship, because Eddie will feel strange and uncomfortable being around him. 

“We can’t, not like that.” 

Shit, Eddie looks like it’s his fault he was so stupid and fell in love with him. But it’s not and he needs to make sure Eddie knows it.

“Eds, I understand. It’s ok, I will be ok. I’m sorry. I’ll see you tomorrow,” Buck smiles as bright as he can, but he’s sure Eddie sees his sad eyes. 

He needs to run away from Eddie for this night to cry as much as he can till there’s no tears in his eyes. So he runs to the jeep and drives home.

He somehow should stop loving Eddie eventually, not like it is possible to stop those feelings as he hadn't known about them only a week ago but felt them anyway. But he will try for Eddie cause Eddie deserves a real friend and not stupidly in love with him Buck. 

And for himself too, because he deserves to fall in love with someone who loves him how he dreams all his life.

hey guys!! it's been a long few months that i've been gone (i can’t remember when exactly i started being inactive but that’s not the point) and i've been missing this hellsite so much in the time that i’ve been gone. there wasn’t ever really a reason for me going ia all of the sudden but what i do know is that my mental state definitely needed a longer break from here, and while i'm still not in the best place mentally i still wanted to hop back on here and give a bit of an update on my life and my blog and try to be a bit more active like i used to be.

writing and the future of this blog —

as i mentioned before, i haven't been in the best mental state lately but i’ve decided i want to try and come back here and start writing again! i love writing and i think getting back into it and getting into the groove of things here would help me out some. now with that being said, i’ll be going through who i write for and updating things, unfortunately this also means a new taglist most likely but if you’d rather i have a writing sideblog where i reblog all of my fics so if that’s more your thing go ahead and follow it @rodrickhefley !! i’ll still be writing for and posting about hockey so don’t worry about that, but i also want to try writing for other things (such as ted lasso, star wars, scream, avatar, hotd, etc.)  i have a few things up my sleeve at the moment but none are quite ready to see the light of day unfortunately. i’m hoping to gain some new, active mutuals from this as well :). i’m gonna be trying out some different formats for my fics so when there’s inconsistencies please ignore that! i’ll also be doing some social media aus / insta posts again!! with all of this being said, i've decided to either post all of the requests that are currently sitting in my inbox so that another writer can take over and write it or delete them all. i may or may not keep a few depending on if i feel inspired by them or not but we’ll see what i decide:) (poll maybe??)

personal life — 

my life has been an absolute rollercoaster of events since about mid april i’d say? ever since then i’ve been so incredibly busy and haven’t had a moment of peace honestly but now that i’ve got more time i’m back!!! i turned eighteen back in july, woohoo!! so i’ve been trying to figure out how to navigate life as a real adult now. it’s been going somewhat okay, i’m not in college at the moment (won’t dive too deep into this bc it’s so scary but i’ll have plenty of time to write fics so ;) ). part of my absence here was caused by the fact that i started getting really active on twitter, where i went through so much shit but also made a pretty good friend group!! a few days back i took a trip and saw arctic monkeys in concert (i had tickets for over a year and it was well worth it) . it was such a fantastic show!!! i’ve not got much of an update other than that so if you enjoyed my rambling and made it this far thank you sm. i’ve missed it here <3.

David was in my top three picks for the poll and I was gutted that he didn’t seem to get very high - but i think that’s coz it was the first video, so maybe people had forgotten about it/it wasn’t as much in the forefront of the majority’s minds by the time the poll was released. Pretty much no negative thoughts.

WE NEED MORE CUTE 7/11 DATES OKAY PLEASE ITS SO SWEET. Ofc the snack puns coming in Clutch ugh i loved those. My only issue (“issue”) was literally the same as why i wasn’t over the moon when sam was voted for the ba (sue me. i liked it anyway) and that was just that we had a vincent one a few months ago, and also a pretty pre-sexual vid after that. Also the fact that lovely literally grabbed his junk in semi-(hah, pun)public, but it’s the anti-PDA in me that disliked that part, so feel free to ignore it!

Also in my top picks!!! I was a tad gutted when we didn’t get his. It was so good. The premise of getting a more subby gavin? chef’s kiss, more please. everything about it was good and i WISH the ba had been how i expected it to go, but we aren’t here for my criticisms of That, so whatever. It links back to an old non-canon Huxley preview vid that was taken from us (RIP) when the channel lost loads of vids, or at least thats what it reminded me of, with the whole BBQ-and-somewhat-sexual-teasing aspect it was amazing and i would like to see more switch-esque gav in the future (*manifesting*)

Not too much to say considering I started this post as a way to lightly complain about the poll results, and Lasky wasn’t on the poll, obviously. Regardless, I’m glad this video went the way it did, I think we’ve seen a lot of lasko being quick to jump the proverbial gun in the last few years, with his non-canon vids, and hooking up with gavin, etc, so it was nice to see him break away from that and ask to move slower coz hell yeah dude, progress and growth!! and i think it shows how much he wants the relationship to be more natural, and not racing ahead, even if he does in part want that - it was sweet as hell.

ELLIOTT (ft. The Dragon):

I gotta say it right off the bat that i just found the video on the more boring end. *POLICE SIRENS BLARING IN THE BACKGROUND* AH FUCK-

I’m just not overly surprised that i think Eli got some of the lowest results on the poll, I enjoyed the video, and i liked it (this will be a recurring statement) but i just didn’t like it As Much. Lots of people (including me, ngl) wanted more of the dragon - but erik’s not about to do weird fantasy not-fully-bestiality-esque stuff guys - and i’m pretty sure I only liked it coz cmon it’s erik doing another hot voice, im gonna be down horrendous BUT NOT FOR AN ACTUAL DRAGON. i am Not donkey from Shrek. And yeah, i know Eli’s powers can be kinda limiting with what they can bring to the (pun not intended) sex-table, but does all of his spicy stuff have to be in a Dreamscape? idk.

ASHER:

My Second Favourite Hands Down. How people picked Sam over riding Ash in the front seat of a rental, i’ll never understand /lh the horn may make me jump every time, but it’s okay, there’s repentance in the tongue kissing, and i stand by that, it was the best bit (or one of the best bits), No Criticisms (except Ash please don’t have sex in a RENTAL. wait until you get to a bedroom at least PLEASE-)

GUY:

Again, i liked it but not as much. I love Guy, he’s one of my favourites, i can’t really say why i didn’t like this video as much as I normally would, maybe the concept just wasn’t rolling with me as well - the whole idea of post-concert seemed vaguely random, but you could argue that about all of these, so it doesn’t count. did anyone else see this or was it just me, coz if it is then i will quietly wave my flag of solidarity from my hole in the ground where nobody can see it.

ANTON:

I voted Anton. It was the sadness with the feelings and the horniness spicyness towards the end, ugh I loved it, Anton come home from war soon please (im terrified he might die because despite everything, nothing Death Related had happened in project meridian yet, and let’s face it, it’s gonna.) - it was nice seeing a different but also soothing take on the “your lover is leaving for an indefinite amount of time” thing, and how it changed in comparison to James’ video on it. Anton deserved the continuation okay. No aggression though.

SAM:

This is where I might get more argumentative because I was so disappointed that Sam won the poll, even though I love sammy. It seemed slightly out of character?? with everything we know about Sam, it just seems so unlikely that he would go to a club, let alone start getting, uh, “busy” n shit while at one. he’s not a big fan of PDA because of his past, in my opinion, and i think overall he’s very private, so the setting and stuff just seemed out of place, it would’ve made more sense for Milo’s or smth to be set there - but hell I can’t tell erik how to write his own characters lmao - and still, the ba was Great. with a capital G.

MILO:

I fell asleep listening to this the first couple of times, which says a lot already. The sensual massage trope has been used as a gateway to presumably spicy off-screen things before (Aaron’s HBW ‘21, Asher’s HBS ‘22) but idky it wasn’t hitting as well as it normally does, maybe it’s wearing thin on my brain. ofc it’s redacted content so i’m gonna eat it up like it’s ass (crude but true) but i listened to it through without falling asleep and was like “yeah it’s good, i like it, but also eh,,,” - like i mentioned, it would’ve made more sense to me if Milo’s and Sam’s were swapped around - anyone agree?

Well that’s convenient for me because I love talking to you🙈 I haven’t heard vultures before I’ll have to look it up, I used to know how to play the clarinet when I was in middle school but I didn’t ever actually want to play it I always wanted to learn the violin and I recently bought one off marketplace but haven’t made much progress with it cause things have been crazy lately, playing instruments is supposed to be really good for your brain though. Your scarf is so pretty! I love the hearts!! It’s very cool that you made the pattern yourself, I can do that with cross stitching and embroidery but I’ve only ever made like a standard scarf knitting and some other random bits and bobs. I’m an investigator, what do you do for work? A poll in a fic could be such a fun use of the medium it could be like a choose your own ending kind of thing! But totally reasonable to not want something interrupting the flow of your stories 💜 as for yarn storage I just have a big storage bin full of craft supplies with my yarn in it, but my cousin has a lot more yarn than me and has done vacuum sealed bags of yarn before for storage lol, do you have a favorite kind? Did you know yarn types like acrylic are just a softened plastic and not a natural fiber? I think that and the fact that most of our clothes are soft plastics like polyester is wild, my cousin has started to spin her own wool yarn which I think is a really interesting process. 😘💜

I never write by hand, but I’ll use my phone to document basic notes/ideas/dialogue/etc. I have for when I’m away from my laptop, which I use exclusively for outlining/drafting. This way I never forget anything. 

43. Is there a trope or idea that you’d really like to write but haven’t yet?

Yes- well, kinda. There’s a few tropes that I like reading that I would love to write for Sukuna specifically- Soulmates, Arranged Marriage, Fuck or Die, possibly(?) ABO (scary)- but I haven’t really developed any story ideas around them yet. Maybe I’ll save them for a future poll!

77. Why do you enjoy writing fanfiction?

This is a really good question 😭 I honestly spent so many years just reading it, and struggled to find a lot of Sukuna fics when I was first getting into JJK, that I kinda just said ‘fuck it, I’m probably okay enough to do it myself, and if people like it that’s cool, if not, whatever.’ But now I think I do it because I just genuinely enjoy sharing pieces of my mind with people and hearing their thoughts about it and knowing they enjoy it. Like I’ve always imagined Character x OC stories with whoever I’m fixated on, but now I can put them on paper and actually write them out properly and it’s a fun little hobby that’s turned out to be unexpectedly rewarding 💕

And I know! I honestly can’t believe it’s over either. Bless you for sticking with it as long as you have. I definitely bit off more than I could chew but I wouldn’t regret anything, it’ll feel good to move on to other stories but I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for those two little idiots. Ok so, followup of the QNAs (i was at one of them!!!)

- The kraken was mentioned and said that apart from dragons, there aren’t any other mythical creatures. Also that it was inspired off of some of the monsters drawn on the old maps. This one seemed to be peaceful (the one mentioned in the book of clearsight) and she warned the queen at the time to not send dragons after it.

-She mentioned the spider tribe, saying they would have been named WebWings but she didn’t go with it. If it were up to me to choose a new tribe to create I would have made a tribe about storms or weather, that would be fantastic. WebWings would have been neat though, maybe as a BeetleWing ancestor/ successor that got lost to time?

-To my wonderful relief she remembered the lost egg, and I was so excited! I thought I was gonna stare at that prologue forever.. just knowing there’s a secret SkyWing egg out there who’d tell a facinating story about destiny and another angle the Dragonets of Destiny’s future could have been forgotten made me sad. But! HOORAY! She also tied it to BERYL, who’s a dragon mentioned in Scarlets kill list in an eerily calm manner compared to the furious or jeering way she wrote the others. Could Beryl be the mother? It would have an interesting callback to Kestrel and how she similarly stole an egg and got away with it, but she never made it. Poor angry Kestrel, doomed to die eventually. I’m so excited that Tui is gonna let Peril and Sky meet, maybe in a winglet, that means she probably has a plan for those! She also mentioned that we should consider a scene of Glory finding out that Wren calls Deathbringer Murderbasket canon in her mind.

-I actually have another question I forgot to list on my original post! It’s that we don’t know why the Pantalan dragons left in the first place. It’s only stated that they “could never go back” but why is that?

-Some other news about book 16;

Shes writing character backstories, and there WILL be new characters. Shes in her ideas phase, and is putting down her thoughts to page.

We do not have a planned release date

- Also! FanWing Fest as been planned for spring 2025, and we’ll get to vote on a location soon! I’m so gonna go!! She said it’ll be in a US city, and that we should check the website from time to time to see if the poll is up!

-if the Night and LeafWing populations could genetically bottleneck in the future due to low numbers

-what BeetleWings looked like in detail, tbh I want to hear more about potential extinct tribes or what dragons looked like between the scorching and now

-Tui saying she avoids giving dragons spider based names becasue she had a potential tribe idea (i forgot where i heard this one so take it with salt)

-non royal Sea and IceWings

-who else might have used DarkStalker’s scroll over the 2000+ years it was lying around

-RainWing history, in general

-the runty SkyWing egg that was mentioned in the prologue of Escaping Peril on the brightest night that was never found

-the origin of NightWing powers (and animus powers, but that seems like too big a question to ask. The better question is about what will happen to it)
