When Gideon was really little—let’s say about 5 or so—they had some pigs on the farm. One pig gave birth, and Little Gid immediately got attached to the runt of the litter. His Pa wanted to kill her and spare her, but Gid cried and insisted otherwise. His Pa, not wanting to deal with a sobbing fire genasi (who he quickly learned whose powers get really out of control if Gid’s emotions get out of control—there’s still a good portion of the farm that got burnt down after one particularly bad tantrum), let Gid keep the runt. And Gideon, being 5 and also generally not good with names, named her Oinkee.

Oinkee was Gideons best friend. He would burn the world down for her. Loved her almost as much as Gricko loves Hootsie.

When Gideon was about 8 years old, his Pa handed him an axe, and told him that they needed bacon for the morning. By that point, the only pig with enough meat on her bones to be worth killing was, well, Oinkee.

Gideon doesn’t like to think about that time. He’d rather think about the happy memories. Before the axe. Before he betrayed his best friend.

Gideon can’t help but find himself relating to Oinkee now, in some sick cruel way. She was a small scrawny thing, and Gid—young and not knowing the consequences of his actions—fed her until she got big and strong, before he was handed the axe. Later on, Gid ended up being a small scrawny thing, and Kremy saw him, and fed him until he got big and strong.

Now Gideon is just waiting until Kremy gets handed the axe.

So I have a lot of sketches that never ever see the light of day online, as I keep a folder that I call my digital sketchbook and any time I want to doodle, I open a canvas, do whatever until I run out of steam, then toss it in there. It's pretty much entirely loose sketches, some character concepts, and lots of fursona art.

I've been thinking for a long time that I may start posting them to my kofi page and make them viewable by a membership tier, but I'm not sure what monthly payment would be fair to see some bonus art that's mostly sketches and may never get posted anywhere else (but isn't promised to be forever exclusive because I don't like to limit myself from sharing what I want. And I do post a little of it to my discord here and there. I just don't want to bombard my blog with all of them and generally don't feel like posting them all over online so I probably never will.)

-Fiddleford Missing His Family-

To me, one of the most heartbreaking details of Gravity Falls is just..everything McGucket related, but specifically him before he starts even getting his family back after Weirdmageddon

Because he spent the entire series and probably the last thirty years trying to recreate his family

It speaks volumes to me that despite a shunning son and a divorce on his pallet, and zero memory or how any of this even happened, that he’s desperately trying to recreate a life he doesn’t even remember but knows he at least had at one point and wants again

Obviously we know he did have a wife and son, hell he’s introduced as a father first and foremost in the story and I think most people forget that, but through and through he is inherently a family man

I myself struggle to understand this mindset, and most do as well, but some people genuinely want to have a family. Like that’s genuinely their dream and their goal in life alongside their occupational dreams, and Fiddleford completely comes off as that kinda guy. I think he just struggled to balance himself thinking he couldn’t do fifty fifty and instead put one hundred percent into things separately and fell short in both categories here and there

Regardless, we know Tate, and even though season one never planned on making McGucket anything other than a comedic side character we know that changed with season two in the shows new direction

All that really does is complicate things for why Tate is here. Obviously we can fill in the blanks with the lore later given last minute, maybe he wanted to see if his father was actually up in Gravity Falls, maybe he wanted to see if he could get through to him and it ‘wasn’t as bad’ as what he had heard or assumed, but that’s not relevant in this post at the moment

What I’m focusing on instead is the fact that just because Fiddleford can’t bridge the gap and connect with his actual son, because he has zero clue what it is he’s done, it doesn’t stop him from being in the community and playing roles that a ‘normal father’ would be doing for his kids

Ie reading town history to local kids (even if he just wound up eating the books after) it’s usually still an important thing parents tend to want to do with their kids (the teaching aspect)

Being there as a chaperone on a first date (I know it’s not the first for Gideon & Mabel, but the point is still there) as most ‘normal’ parents want to be active in their kids lives and make sure they’re being safe, & making good choices in the world

Being at the Sev’Ral Times concert (later seen crowd surfing, which honestly still cracks me up) but nevertheless he shows up out of the blue to be vocally supportive of the girls excitement for the concert and their plans

Yknow, as a parent ought to be when taking their kid to their favorite bands concert

Annnd then of course, far less subtle to anything else mentioned before regarding an image to general parenthood, we have raccoon wife

Again, there’s nothing subtle about this, it’s raccoon wife and it is bizarre that no one in town questions this. “Crazy local coot thinks he’s married to a raccoon? Yeah, makes sense.” (Though tbf there’s a local man married to a woodpecker, so ig it’s whatever for everyone)

Again x2 I’m not sure what to add on here because it feels pretty blatant what bro is shooting for mental wise here, it just makes me wonder wHAt about a raccoon reminds him of Emma May?

Maybe it’s just the pale round face, dark eyes, and brown hair that makes it click in his head

Regardless I still think it’s sweet that even when he’s gotten some recollection of himself back he’s still concerned for the raccoons in the apocalypse

Anywho, call me an emotional loser if you want, but the concept of this old man wanting his family back for some thirty odd years and not knowing how to get them back so he substitutes it with other things is horribly depressing

I can at least rest easy knowing his relationship with Tate has improved after Weirdmageddon :)

hispanic families are pretty big and he really enjoys being around everyone and getting to know your family

all the tias also try to steal him away from you and like to ask him all kinds of questions about his jobs

later on, they text you being all like "congrats mija, you picked a good one"

I also feel like he would want to impress your parents so badly

he wants to make a great first impression so he bring your mom a pretty bouquet of her favorite flowers and a necklace ("ay no! pesto es de marca buena!")

for your dad, he brings him a fancy liquor bottle and something else he has an interest in (he begs for your help to find the perfect gift and you're all like, "don't worry! he doesn't worry about being gifted things"

ends up buying him fancy watch and your dad is just in shock with the Rolex in his hand

he makes a great impression for say the least

you mom texts him to check on your when you haven't checked in and they even hang out by themselves when you visit home. she called him "hijito"

your dad is a little skeptical (because who's dad isn't) but eventually comes around when yeonjun invites him to a sporting event together. they have a couple drinks, get to talking and he expresses that his intentions with you are serious, which pleases your dad.

he's so shy when you tell him that your parents are coming to visit because he hadn't thought it would happen so soon

he was only doing practice schedules for that week so he was able to spend time with them when he got home

he begs you to teach him some Spanish so that he can make a good impression and try him best to connect with them, even if they also speak English.

he comes home one night and they're in the living room, you in the kitchen fixing up dinner...he's frozen but manages a small wave and a little "hola~"

your mama finds him very sweet looking and gets up, going him a hug and squishing one of his doughy cheeks.

your dad on the other hand...not very impressed...(latino dads like the mach types for their baby girls and soobin isn't very...yknow)

he notices this and walks over to shake his hand, which your dad reluctantly does

you come into the living room and call everyone for dinner, which happened to be pozole since it was super cold out

soobin loves the meal and it impresses your parents (you've been feeding him mexican dishes to prepare him for their visit and he loves them so you gave nothing to worry about)

you have to facilitate the conversation but the night ends without incident

the next day, you and soobin take your parents out to some sights

he does his best to explain where they were in the little English and Spanish he knew and you're parents appreciate his effort

he buys meals and pays for all four of you and they urge him not to but he insists because he wants to prove that he cares about them and takes care of you on the daily

they enjoy their trip and overall approve of him

you let him say hello and he got up and walked off to take a shower

the conversation, like it so often happens to, switch to the topic of you moving away and when you were going to come back

when you let them know you're not coming back and they you were established and had a boyfriend, your mom and dad started to get upset, once again

something a long the lines of "Hija, you can't seriously want to live there forever? What about your family? We miss you? Plus, you should really date someone a little different. Ese muchacho no es hombre."

you go off about how it's not fair how they try to guild you like this and immediately hang up

beomgyu heard a little bit of it and vaguely understood what they'd said so he comes to you to try to help you calm down a little

he holds you while you cry to him about the argument you just had and how they want you to go home and leave him for someone else

he comforts you so well

"I may not understand why they think it's okay to try and tell you what to do, but you're old enough to make your own choices and choose whoever you want to be with. I understand your culture is a little different from mine but I try to understand. we're gonna work this out and I'll make sure they like me."

this guy is so supportive of you, especially because he knows there are struggles that come along with being a foreigner

he is so interested in learning Spanish

he will sit there with you, textbook and notebook on the table, and go over grammar and vocab and everything

he loves practicing with you by saying sweet things and integrating vocab into everyday conversation

he really wants to impress you, and eventually your family

he also wants to connect with you on a deeper level

back to the being a foreigner thing...he really supports you and gets so angry when people say stuff about you in public

you were both at a cafe one time and an older woman kept staring at you

taehyun noticed and tried to move you behind him but she kept looking in your direction

she eventually comes up to you both and starts asking you a bunch of questions that weren't so kind and tyunnie was so annoyed and upset

you, being the nice person you are, patiently answered her questions even if they bothered you as well

once she left, tyun looked at you with his big pretty eyes and asked you if you were okay

you've also had younger girls, around your age, make snarky comments about you In public but taehyun knows exactly what to do in these scenarios

he pulls you in by your waist and kisses you just to shut them up

she loves your differences so much and celebrates them any chance he gets

All of the contestants and creations Mephone4 created are connected to him. She is in no way different, floating in an endless abyss of nothingness.

This endless abyss is likely to be Mephone4's network or code!

It's the place where the Shimmer and Mephone code overlap.

Knowing how Shimmer is a highly powerful organic life source of light, who's to say that light cannot be projected again? Bow must've found something while in the code, something that resonated within her. Something that allowed Mephone4 to bring contestants to life.

This allows her to come back from death as a ghost. But what?..

It's definitely something related to the shimmers. May it be the lost Shimmer or something deeper.

Now, as for the deleted contestants.

With the context of Soap's phone, I don't think they would be in the main network anymore.

MephoneX deleting them sends them into a separate network than the creation network, where they're timed for deletion. Like a regular phone.

so naturally, things you're really passionate about he will look into and maybe even get into it too

I feel like his mom would have enrolled Eren and Mikasa as junior life guards, she did amazing and really liked it and Eren had fun and was good but didn't care to do it again. Armin went to the wave/beach every day just to hang out with them still, and sometimes Eren abandoned duty or snuck away during a lesson to pick seashells with him

Speaking of, Eren has a mini seashell collection from him and Armin picking them together. He dates each seashell and has given you a couple that he thought you'd like

Because of the whole lifeguard thing, he knows CPR and some basic first aid and the friend group always goes to him if they need extra medical help and he goes straight into his rare mom mode

Him and Mikasa kissed once in a 7 minutes of heaven game in freshmen year of high school, and afterwards decided they were better as friends and never even told Armin until a drunken night of confessions between the three senior year, the night before graduation

He will and has sacrificed himself in little ways for his friends and family, and would do so in bigger ways if the situation ever called for it

sollux captor (Chimerism): first of all, his blood is literally yellow, so yknow. second of all, duality is a HUGE part of his character! it just makes sense for him to be a chimera to me tbh (i also headcanon that gold and violetbloods are more likely to be medically recognized as intersex but that’s an entirely different can of worms)

terezi pyrope (undeclared, likely Chimerism): i feel like she would really love to bring up her intersexuality while arguing with a transphobe or intersexist. she would also probably not disclose what her specific variation is so they couldn’t pull the whole “you’re just a fe/male with a dsd!!!!” bs. also, balance is a huge part of her character, so i feel like chimerism particularly suits her

equius zahhak (Hyperandrogenism): his body is quite literally overflowing with testosterone. man is literally sweating 24/7 and frankly, no other indigobloods seem to have as much testosterone as him, so we know this isn’t typical. they’re all strong, yeah, but this guy is on a whole other level. i just KNOW this boy’s skin is oily as hell

(also yes!! i headcanon equius as a cis guy with hyperandrogenism!! intersex doesn’t just mean “man with lots of estrogen” or “woman with lots of androgen”!!)

eridan ampora (PAIS): ok this one is one im actually super passionate about. in the og comic, all female trolls are consistently drawn with black lips (with the exception of nepeta, who i’ve already included on here). all the male trolls are drawn without the lips except for eridan. eridan is shown to have black lips in multiple panels! back when it was first pointed out, most assumed it was because of how feminine he is compared to the other guys, but you know what? idc!!! that boy is intersex and indulges in toxic masculinity due to his insecurity!!! idc what anyone has to say!!! also his blood is literally violet so yknow

damara megido (CAIS): i think she would get a really big kick out of not having body hair, periods or the ability to give birth. obviously there are downsides to it, but i doubt those would get in her way of having fun. i also think she would really like reclaiming That One Japanese Slur For Intersex People

cronus ampora (MAIS): mostly cause vibes and the fact that he’s related to eridan, so it’s more likely. what can i say, the ampora boys are very “does being intersex make me less of a man?” coded

rose lalonde (PCOS): she gives me the vibe of a woman who has PCOS but doesn’t consider herself intersex due to how little it affects her. tho i imagine that she’s done lots of reading on intersex variations considering how two people she cares deeply about (kanaya and roxy) do consider themselves intersex

dave strider (MAIS): i know that trans dave is a super popular headcanon and don’t get me wrong, transgender icon dave strider will save the world!! it’s just that for me personally, i’ve only been able to see him as an intersex guy. though in his case, i imagine that he would find out pretty late into his life. and like his sister, considering how little it’s affected his life, he wouldn’t consider himself intersex either

Major Chaos Theory Spoilers (again)

I found more evidence that may relate to my earlier theory about Ben’s girlfriend!!

As I said in my first theory post, I think Ben’s girlfriend could possibly be Brooklynn in disguise.

Recently, I was giving the soundtrack a listen and discovered something pretty interesting about two of the songs

Listen to the 4 chord progressions in the songs “In Love” (the scene where Darius admitted he was in love with Brooklynn) and “Campus Visit” (the flashback of Ben and Brooklynn)

The first two chords of each progression are the same in different keys

Then, the last two chords are complete opposites. “In Love” has chords that go down to lower notes, and “Campus Visit” has chords that go higher. Additionally, Darius’s is slower while Ben’s is faster. All of these facts lead up to “In Love” being framed more negatively, while “Campus Visit” is framed more positively.

Curating music for a series is full of intention, and typically, the people who make the scores will make songs alongside other songs to keep the same vibe throughout while still giving off different emotions with each piece. The utilization of such a similar chord progression between two scenes is typically used to correlate the same meaning behind each scene, either consciously or subconsciously.

Brooklynn and Ben’s scene is not inherently romantic, but the chord progression in the background, the same one used for a romantic scene later on, could be a good indicator that the writers plan to frame these two characters in a more romantic light later down the line.

Music is subtle, but intentional. I find it interesting that these two chord progressions are so similar when one scene is literally a confession and the other is not related to love at all but features two characters that may or may not be currently dating.

But yknow I could be totally crazy and reading way too much into things too. Who knows LMAOO I just figured it’d be fun to share anyways
