Queer-ish/Variant-ish part 5
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Non binary-ish, and Maverique-ish
Non binary-ish - A term for for when someone's close to but not quite non binary. This can be for a variety of reasons, including being heavily aligned with a binary gender, having fluid gender and/or multiple gender and not viewing all of them as non binary, not identifying with typical understandings of what non binary means, having a "non traditional" relationship with non binaryness do to cultural reasons, questioning one's gender, any other experiences of near but not exact non binaryness and/or non binaryness with additional complexities to it.
Maverique-ish - A term for for when someone's close to but not quite maverique. This can be for a variety of reasons, including being demimaverique, having fluid gender and/or multiple gender that one views as inseparable from each other and maverique is a prominent one, questioning one's gender, any other experiences of near but not exact maverique and/or maverique with additional complexities to it.

Agender-ish, and Neutrois-ish, and Androgyne-ish
All have similar definitions to maverique-ish
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Multigender-ish, and Bigender-ish, and Genderfluid-ish
Multigender-ish - A term for for when someone's close to but not quite multigender. This can be for a variety of reasons, including being almost entirely one gender but partly being others, having multiple partial genders, having fluid or flux gender that is experience as both multiple and one gender, questioning one's gender, any other experiences of near but not exactly that of being multigender and/or multigender with additional complexities to it.
Bigender-ish - A term for for when someone's close to but not quite bigender. This can be for a variety of reasons, including being almost entirely one gender but partly being another one, having multiple partial genders to add up to being close to but not quite two, having fluid or flux gender that is experience as both two and one gender, questioning one's gender, any other experiences of near but not exactly that of being bigender and/or bigender with additional complexities to it.
Genderfluid-ish - A term for for when someone's close to but not quite genderfluid. This can be for a variety of reasons, including one having the fluidity of one's gender(s) be very slow so it's often felt as static, having both fluid and static genders, one being unsure if their gender is fluid or flux, questioning one's gender, any other experiences of near but not exact non genderfluidity and/or non genderfluidity with additional complexities to it.

Here we go - updated/alternate version of the käärijägender flag. (Old version here).
Käärijägender is a nonbinary gender which may involve both masculinity, femininity and/or androgyny etc, in a way that feels connected to the artist Käärijä. It could be considered a type of kingender. It may be one part of a genderfluid identity (kinfluid).
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Each colour represents several things:
🖤 black for leather jackets, spiky black pants and for being agender or experiencing an absence of gender.
💚 green for the green bolero, green nails, and for a nonbinary masculinity or butchness.
🩷 pink for the pink dancers, for the bald men, frank the flamingo, and for a nonbinary femininity or flamboyance.
🤍 white for white suits and outfits, white nails, and for being multigender or genderfluid.
💛 yellow for Häärijä, yellow suit Käärijä, and for a nonbinary gender which is not male nor female (demigender, androgyne, maverique or xenogender, for example).
Feel free to use this flag and label! Please give credit and refer back to this post when possible. 👍

i have a question about maverique and gender coining.
i'm an alter in a system who recently split and i pretty soon figured out the best word for my gender is "maverique" because i would describe it as a strong gendered feeling unrelated to anything about the gender binary and that autonomy and me just being me feels like a major part of it.
i know maverique was coined before xenogender was, so the definition of maverique didn't factor in the existence of xenogenders and thus i don't really have a clear picture on whether or not they "can" interact in the same gender or if you can coin a maverique gender (or if it's like singularian where by definition you can't mix it with anything).
so yeah is coining maverique genders a thing? like to me, there are things that my autonomous gendered feeling is connected to, and i'd want to use xenogender labels for them, but i'd feel them in a maverique way. i specify this on my gender collection so everyone understands what i mean when i use xenos, but i'd also like to have genders where maverique is actually a part of their original definition. i know that you can coin an "autonomous-in-nature" gender but can you associate it with the label of "maverique"?
(also i am aware that what i "can" or "can't" do with gender isn't really dictated by what other people think, but at the same time i recognize that maverique is a specific label coined to mean a specific thing, and i want to preserve the integrity of that label and not misunderstand how it works.)

Miaverique Pride Flag
Tumblr media
Miaverique or mainverique: a multi-gender identity that consists of two or more parts (depending on the person), maingender/miaspec and maverique.
Based on minverique and fiaverique. It shares similarity with menoverique and homaverique/wermaverique/weremaverique, but this one is specifically multigender/polygender (poingender/poiaspec) [multiverique/multimaverique].

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ninverique (left), Linverique (right)
Ninverique: A multigender term for when one’s gender consists of two (or more) parts, this case being Maverique and Ningender. This includes multigender individuals who are Maverique, and are also one or more Ningenders.
Linverique: A multigender term for when one’s gender consists of two (or more) parts, this case being Maverique and Lingender. This includes multigender individuals who are Maverique, and are also one or more Lingenders.
.
These terms were originally posted October 7th, 2022.
Originally requested by anon, the request being “can you make a neutral version of finverique/minverique? (ninverique) and a lingender if you could (linverique)”
The style of the flags being the same as the Finverique flag I found, with a small color adjustment when needed. I also simplified the definitions based on the Finverique definition I found.

aptobinary
i already kinda coined this term, but someone tried falsely explaining my own term to me so i'm gonna make an official coining post to clear up any misunderstandings.
in short, aptobinary describes anyone who fits the gender binary. this is about gender itself, as in the identity, not gender presentation.
people who would be considered aptobinary:
people who exclusively, at all times and wholly identify as women, girls or female, with their female identity being feminine in nature
people who exclusively, at all times and wholly identity as men, boys or male, with their male identity being masculine in nature
people who would not be considered aptobinary:
genderless, agender and similar people
aphorians and other people who's genders are removed from maleness and femaleness
people with genders that are in between male and female
xenogender and kenochoric people
multigender, genderfluid, demigender and similar people, even if they consider themselves to be binary due to being male and/or female
men whose male identity is feminine, androgynous, outherine, xenine or anything else other than masculine
women whose female identity is masculine, androgynous, outherine, xenine or anything else other than feminine
the last two refer to identities such as cettreur or cettrix, which describe an outherine manhood or an outherine womanhood, this is again about identity, and not about gender presentation.
one could also say that aptobinary people are people who are always, fully and exclusively either mingender men/boys or fingender women/girls.
this term is important to refer to people who have the privilege to not experience structural exorsexism, as opposed to nonbinary, genderqueer, elsegender and other people who don't fit the gender binary, in the linked post at the start of this post i already went over why other terms do not work.
