Time moves differently here, in intersecting circles. Crossroads, if Beiyuan’s hunch is correct. If one could identify where they intersect, see where the paths split and come together, they could theoretically choose their next lifetime. Beiyuan feels an idea sprout wildly and anxiously in his mind. He has been caught so long in a cycle he didn’t choose and he feels the centuries of his memories weighing on him.

The Pool of Rebirth pulls at him. He feels at ease as he finishes his wine and turns to see Hu Jia’s raised eyebrows. He smiles as he says, “I’m ready, let’s go.

As the artist for this fic I may be a bit biased, but I love the worldbuilding that the author did with this. It’s just a taste of what is to come plot-wise, but I am incredibly excited to watch it play out with each update!

Here's a piece that I did for @wangxiansmelody and their fic Song of Dance and Shadows (Link below!) It is one of the watercolor landscape series, with a miniature Wangxian. They're about 1.3 cm tall.

And yeah, Wei Wuxian definitely has a grip on Lan Wangji's ribbon. I nicknamed this piece "Smoosh" but the title is "Husbands". ^_^

S’s Notes:

This fic is near and dear to my heart. I absolutely loved working with my artist for SHLBB on this, and their work actually inspired a few small storyline changes.

I love the concept of TC!ZZS & GVM!WKX meeting before they do in canon. It’s a lot of fun to play with, and there are so many places to go with it. This particular fic was born at the meeting place between temporary amnesia trope in which one innately trusts one’s old lover, and good ol’ enemies to lovers. I think it’s a fun and fresh perspective, and WenZhou were the perfect couple to fit this scenario. I can only hope that I did both the pairing and the concept justice.

Wei WuXian felt particularly tired today. Lan WangJi had woken him up at around 9 am, and no matter how much he protested, had insisted on him getting up. Even after being married for several months and having stayed in Gusu since then, Wei WuXian was still as far from adapting to the crazy sleeping habits of the Lan Sect as on the first day. Even though it had come in handy sometimes in the past, he still felt that it was unnatural how they all went to sleep at nine pm each day and got up like clockwork at five am straight.

While trying to bathe and to put on his clothes in at least a semi-straight way, he only registered about half of what Lan Wangji was telling him about the latest developments in the cultivation world. Which he felt like was already quite a success, before breakfast.

Apparently, reports had come in that lately there had been an increase in heavy rainfalls and floods in the eastern parts of the country.

Happy Saturday! This is an illustration I did for Song of Dance and Shadows by @wangxiansmelody and our MDZS RBB collaboration!

I don't always paint my figures this scale, so it was fun to get to add details to Lan Wangji's robes that I don't normally get to include! The cloud embroidery patterns were particularly enjoyable.

And they even sparkle under 45x magnification!
