I love that when the Doctor falls for women, they're the coolest most badass people (think of River, Rose, Yaz, Romana, etc.), but when they fall for men they're always loser nerds (Fitz, Rogue, Koschei). they've got the best taste in women and the worse in men. that's real bi/pan representation there.

The door to the old factory slammed behind her, the sound echoing loudly around the eerily abandoned space. She doubled over, breathless and giddy, and listened hard for the sound of footsteps following her. But there was nothing.

That had been close. Too close. It was rare that anyone caught her red handed in the middle of a job, but she’d still managed to slip the man’s wallet from his jacket and bolt before he could grab her. The chances he’d actually seen her face were small, and she’d chucked the wallet into the gutter after stripping it of its contents. She’d lay low for a couple of hours, then head back to her apartment — flat, whatever these Brits called them — for a bit of sleep, before another day of slumming around the grand city of London.

Hardly a week into her “new life” and she was already slipping back into her old habits… Ah well…

Gene counted out the cash and shoved it into her pocket as she started deeper into the abandoned factory, weaving her way through the hulking industrial machinery. It was cold in here for a summer night… And-… She stopped suddenly, listening hard. Was that… the air system? She looked around until she spotted a vent, and moved to stand beneath it. Sure enough, a frigid breeze, heavy with an odd chemical smell was blowing out of the ducts. Gene frowned. All the buildings in this neighborhood had apparently been bought out by some company a few months ago, and then inexplicably abandoned. So who was footing the AC bill?

A noise around the far side of one of the machines caught her attention. Panicked, she glanced around for a place to hide. No way she was about to let herself get arrested for something as stupid as trespassing. She ducked under one of the industrial conveyor belts and waited, squinting through the dark to see who, or what was coming around the corner…

I’m convinced that the Master builds 80% of his evil plans around whatever song is stuck in his head at the time of his invasion. I mean, the whole Rasputin thing? There was literally no reason for it, my man just wanted to cosplay and dance in front of the Doctor before cosplaying as the Doctor, and personally I support his dreams. The whole spy plan from the start of Modern Season 12 was probably caused by a binge-watch of spy movies.

The loud, wheezing groan of the TARDIS engines faded away as the enormous blue police box settled with a soft sort of whumpf into the Here and Now. A moment later, the door opened, and a mop of shaggy brown hair appeared as The Doctor poked his head out and looked up and down the hallway.

“Not Earth…” He sniffed the air, then stepped out into the corridor, bouncing up and down a few times, testing the gravity. “Planet? Nearly dense enough… Oooh, I feel engines! Cruise ship, maybe? Koschei! Come out here and have a feel of this!”

love it when the doctor is in a horribly messy codependent platonic relationship where both of them are awful and a little fucked up and they would kill the other without hesitating but also would die for the other as easily as breathing

Sometimes I think about how when the master is chameleon arched he spent his entire human life trying to help people and trying to give humanity hope. He was going to stay behind and die so that he could send humanity to utopia and I think that’s beautiful. The doctor on the other hand turned into a racist asshole while chameleon arched so I’m not sure what that’s supposed to mean.

there is no monogamous explanation for whatever the doctor has going on. whatever the doctor has going on with the master is like long term stuff but I think those guys just keep inviting people to their polycule without asking the other and that's why they're so pissed at each other.
