Doodles for an AU I’ve been simmering in my mind where Bill ends up stuck possessing Ford in the 80s, and he and Stan begrudgingly agree to help each other try get Ford back and free Bill.

And when I say simmering I mean brainrot. I have brainrot. Someone help me.

Stan and Bill are such a fascinating dynamic to explore, especially in a situation like this.

Finally finished these guys !! I procrastinated a little but they're here ! I think I captured the energies for the characters that I was really going for ! :D

For the characters with the "Anti-[Name]/[Name]" the second name listed is what they actually go by in their dimension ! For the others it's unchanged

The Mind Reader scene in my AU!

I've always wished for Ford to turn out to be a bad guy in this scene.

Dipper: "G-Grunkle Ford is-"

Ford: "You're smart, Dipper. Don't do something stupid that you'll regret. If you join Bill, if you join ME you can learn things this world could never offer you."

Dipper: "But Mabel-"

Ford: "Oh, her? Well she's just an extra is she not? How many times will you sacrifice a good opportunity, just for her happiness? Don't you think it's your turn to be a little selfish too?"

Dipper: "..."

Aftermath: Ford would most likely shoot Dipper with the memory gun, he would not actually shoot him with the gun he has on his person.

Gonna be honest, I'm a bit disappointed that the fandom hasn't really tried to extrapolate what a Dipperland would be like, a dream bubble prison meant to entice specifically Dipper into staying the way Mabelland did for Mabel, particularly since we know what Mabelland was originally going to show Dipper thanks to the episode commentaries. I'd like to think that in contrast with Mabelland, which was very obviously indulging in Mabel's desire to escape into fantasy and never grow up, to the point that Mabel is somewhat aware of what Mabelland is doing, if not to what extent, why, or what's really outside of it, Dipperland would essentially leave Dipper in the dark about being in a prison and essentially play an idealized version of his life on fast-forward, where he and Mabel get to stay in Gravity Falls, he gets to study under Ford, their parents move to Gravity Falls, and several other things happen that sound too good to be true if they happened all at once, but the time skips/dream logic causes Dipper to not question it that much. Like, Ford eventually bringing Tyrone back, for example.

full-body refs for my take on reverse falls' gleeful family! and the demon they.... adopted! by force! who does their chores! yeah...

some notes:

mabel wears multiple different offstage outfits, that's just one i did for reference. she wears all sorts of different colours, and dabbles in what's usually called 'old lady clothes'. mason, however, usually only has one offstage outfit he likes to stick to

stan RARELY uses the "mr. gleeful" suit these days. when the kids came into his care, he used it as an excuse to retire from being a magician, and will typically just wear hawaiian shirts around the house unless business calls for him to show his face

will usually has his pupil dilated like that! it makes him look ridiculous

ford is the only one without an "offstage" look. that's no accident. without a "casual" look, how can you tell when a performance ends and the real ford gleeful begins?
