- IN DEFENSE OF LIBRAS. I often hear people say that Libras are pick-mes, but that’s only the underdeveloped ones. I think Libras do get along with the opposite sex really well. The mature ones genuinely connect with the other side because they’re a good balance of both masculine and feminine energies.

- However, I do see SOME Libra men take advantage of this ability and be quite promiscuous. Libra SUN in particular since it comes so naturally to them. I see you have this tunnel vision when it comes to your emotions and love, that you are not seeing the other important details. You could have been abused at some point because of you being this understanding, emotionally nurturing, always showing up for other people energy.

You could love to love. Love to fall in love. You could be having this tendency to get obsessed about love, getting swept up in the feeling of love or having this false definition of it too.

You could also indulge in your emotions more than necessary when it's not the right time to indulge in it, you could think that pain is all you are made for- kind of like a spiralling down. It could make you wallow in them over and over. Instead of letting your pain swallow you, use it to see what exactly is needing attention. We don't give enough attention on the problem to prevent it from happening again sometimes. So no, don't get all closed up because of pain now.

I understand that we all crave love and acceptance but you are not loving yourself, you are disrespecting yourself by giving away yourself to people who don't see your value, who don't see what you offer.

You could also abandon love completely and hyperfixate on your freedom at times- hyper independence. Ketu is the most genuine part of ourselves. We express it effortlessly, without thought, even lazily. It is in our body, our constitution. However, we may not necessarily embrace who we are in that department as we crave to experience the opposite in Rahu.

This is where the problems start, because if one’s Rahu goes out of control, one starts to act like someone they’re not. That can be especially prominent if Rahu makes close aspects to personal planets or if the Nodes are in angular houses 1, 4, 7, 10. These placements increase the person’s desire to forcefully embody their Rahu, but it produces a “cringe” effect, as it is rarely done well.

The way Hermione and Ginny talked about Fleur in hbp was so not girls supporting girls

The only adolescent females she treats favorably are Ginny, Hermione, and Luna—each representing very specific types that diverge from the conventional mold of an average teen girl, whom she seems to dismiss.

In stark contrast, Harry praises Ginny for not crying, framing her stoicism as both cool and badass. German Sheppard: Loyal. Fiercely protective. Good at tracking. The kind of chap that would rip someone's face off for touching you, but then have the heart to snuggle up in bed afterwards. Hunter exemplifies all these traits and more.

Black cat: sophisticated and clever, cats are known for always managing to figure out a way to slip through to safety. Associated with superstition, but often misunderstood, Nez both plays into the cleverness of cats, but also the divine feminine energy they radiate.

Location

Mountains: Hunter seemingly radiates that sturdy, comforting presence of a mountain on a foggy morning. Slightly mysterious, but ever so strong.

London: One of the most bustling cities in the world, known for its popular iconography, but also a long running history of class and culture. Nez couldn't be anywhere else with her tea loving, rainy day aesthetic.

Plant

Indoor Fern: The kind of plant that gives back as much as they allude. Hunter is very versitle while also maintaining a sense of "home"

Red Roses: Nothing is more classy or romantic than red roses. Nez is as bold as the red lips she often wears, similar to that of the romance associated with a red rose.

Character

Joel: Initially resourceful and tough, he develops a softer side with protecting a child... sounds a bit... familiar to a particular Sarge I know...

Miss Moneypenny: Discrete. Efficient. Flirty. And ever so classy... furthermore, her role as liaison is eerily similar to Nez's job being a handler for the GAR

Season

Autumn: Brisk but still homie. Hunter has the kind of balance of warm and cool that comes with the changing of the leaves.

Winter: Bright fallen snow. Clean and pristine. Bold red coats against a white backdrop. An edge with a hidden cozy feel. Nez survives best in the winter.

Hobby

Wood Working: Hunter, while on Pabu, takes up carpentry. Not from purely a practical sense, but also artistic. He enjoys the tactile approach of building with his hands.

Whiskey tasting: Nez has a very refined palette. She grew up rich on her planet. She loves nothing more than cozying up with a nice whiskey, possibly a cigar and a good book for some quiet.

Color

Maroon: Dark, burnt red, that houses all the passion but with a darker tone. Bright red: similar to maroon, in that red itself has passion, fire and romance, but the lighter form of it. Hunter and Nez compliment each other in this regard.

Crystal/Stone/Gem

Black Tourmaline: A cyrstal known as a bodyguard of sorts against negative energy, it is carried for protection. There is not a more protective member of the squad (sans Crosshair) than Hunter.

Garnet: Dating back to the bronze age, this stone has always been one of high value. Often associated with family heirloom pieces, garnet has the timeless sort of beauty you associate with Nez. Not flashy like a diamond, but just rich red like garnet.

Food

Steak Dinner: Nothing is more satisfying than a full steak dinner! All the sides, filling in every way and savory. I just imagine hunter coming home to a staple dinner and then collapsing on the sofa after to nap it off.

Lasagna: Layered. Traditional. Delicious.

Classy and bold collide with strength and masculinity in a passionate, undeniable connection! Hunter and Nez first crossed paths during the war, carefully circling one another, each wary of compromising their duties. But once Order 66 was issued, the tension between them shattered, and their bond could no longer be denied. Lamb: Playful and curious, lambs are often a symbol for innocence and gentleness. Crosshair learns to grow, largely in part due to the gentle nature Kayden shows him.

Mountains: Strong, firm, but also deadly. So much of his redemption started on Barton V, and a large part of himself still resides there.

Paris: A city known for intense culture and refined beauty

Plant

Cactus: Resilient and unyielding to the harsh climate around them.

Lilly of the Valley: Often symbolic for a return to happiness, this flower is regarded in poetry for its beauty, but its unexpected edge of poison underneath its fair appearance. In a similar way, Kayden has an unexpected firmness not often seen by others.

Character

Zukko: The redemption arc of the century. Need I say more.

Honeylemon: Intelligent and girlie. Friendly and supportive.

Season

Winter: The winter can be isolating, but it can also be warm in unexpected ways. Crosshair may seem distant to those when he first meets them but upon a building of trust becomes a warm fireplace in the dead of winter

Spring: Keeping with the theme of rebirth, Kayden magnifies all the qualities of spring with its soft, change and adaptivity over time.

Hobby

Drawing: Something initally kept hidden, Crosshair eventually puts his attention to detail to good use with sketching opposed to looking down a scope.

Botany: What she studied at school, Kayden truly enjoys working with plants!

Dark Green: Although much of his life was defined by the maroon of the batch, Crosshair secretly enjoys dark shades of green. Kamino lacked foliage and something about plants like Kashyyyk speak to him... Pink: Complimentary to her pastel blue skin, a soft pink has always been Kayden's favorite color since we were kids

Echo has certainly been through so much, and through that he has become such a steady, encouraging voice for those around him. He has always gone where he felt needed. As time has gone on, that 'somewhere' became the arms of the woman he loved: Aiko. Strong in her own regards, and incredibly talented with bioengineering, these two make quite the pair. They are gentle, caring, and calm. I can't think of a more perfect attuned couple to their lover's needs.

Sun in Gemini II (5/30 – 6/10 2024) The middle decan of Gemini is called the Hermaphrodite, after a child of Hermes and Aphrodite, who bore the external and internal genitalia of both men and women in their own body.

According to one story of Hermaphrodite, found in Ovid, he was a remarkable beautiful young man of extraordinary gracefulness and easiness of manner. A naiad, or water-spirit named Salamis observed him bathing one day, and jumped into the pool to fondle the youth who was too young to understand or consent to these advances. She tried to have her way with him, either through rape or seduction; yet the boy resisted, and Salmacis cried aloud her wish — to be united with this boy forever. A passing god, hearing her prayer, solemnly knitted them into one being — and Hermaphrodite became a god in themselves, a god of the unified masculine and feminine. They blessed — or cursed? — the spring in such a way that anyone else who bathed there would be similarly transformed.

Other accounts suggest that Hermaphrodite was an androgynous figure from birth. Roman theologians attributed the birth of human hermaphrodites to the influence of Hermaphrodite and their father Hermes’ influence. “Serious” scholars of natural history noted that hermaphroditic births were rare but regarded as significant omens of the future, while satirical authors made hermaphrodites into funny figures worthy of derision. Whether by alchemical change in a pool or divine birth, the Greeks and Romans depicted Hermaphrodite with both female breasts as well as penis and scrotum in naked depictions; I’m not aware of a statue that also shows a vagina — but it’s possible. Despite Ovid’s account connecting Hermaphrodite’s origins to female-on-male sexual assault, this boy-girl deity was highly sensualized and sexualized in Roman fresco and statuary, and was considered to be the patron of marriage. Since they united in themselves both the masculine and feminine, their feast day (the fourth of every month) was considered highly auspicious for weddings in many community around the Roman Mediterranean.

And Hermaphrodite stood in contrast to another figure, far more terrifying to the ancient Romans — that of Magna Mater, the Great Mother Cybele. She had been carried into Rome in procession in the form of a Black Stone that was said to have fallen from heaven — and she was placed in the porch of the temple of Capitoline Jupiter in the heart of the city during the Second Punic War, and spiritually married to Jupiter as the principal god of the Romans, an extra consort to be recognized alongside Juno. Her high priestess and priestesses were not scions of Rome, either, but foreigners from Phrygia in what is now Turkey — and there is symbolic evidence that Cybele had been worshipped there in some form since at least 6000 BCE. Even more than the women priestesses wielding significant power in the cult of the Great Mother, though, were the strange and androgyne priests of Cybele — eunuchs all — who had voluntarily allowed themselves to be castrated in service to the Mother. Artemis specifically liked Orion so much in some versions of their story that Apollo got worried that she would forget her oath to remain a virgin, and she never did, she simply admired him for being a good man who was not toxic and abusive.

She also admired Hippolytus, son of Theseus, and she loved both the male and female children of Greece. In fact, the notion that Artemis held some grudge against men is rather recent, and doesn’t appear in any ancient texts. As for the idea she hates those who don’t remain chaste, one of her most sacred duties was to help Pregnant women give birth, which they would’ve needed to break chastity to do. Just because she’s a feminist and a more feminine deity, doesn’t mean she hates men and masculinity, only the noxious and harmful parts of it, and the followers that misconstrue her notions, which having confronted her about it myself, she has assured me in ways more than one that I’m not one of them. I accidentally knocked over one of my favorite plants recently, and I was afraid I might have upset her, and I felt terrible, but than, the plant healed right up afterwards as reassurance that it was just an accident and nothing against me. Matthew Patel Analysis

I would like to say first off, I am not Indian. I am a Mexican kid who just really likes learning about different cultures. If anything in this is incorrect, offensive, or just overall dumb, I would really like to be corrected and would REALLY like to be able to fix it.

I’ve been trying to decipher what the markings on the demon girl’s and Matthew’s foreheads are. The main assumption would be that they are bindis, but that doesn’t sit entirely right with me when you think about what they represent in Indian culture.

For the demon girls, you COULD say that the markings are bindis, and that they are supposed to represent something “marital”, which would then imply that their binding to Matthew is more complicated, but I personally disagree with this for multiple reasons.

Then of course, for Matthew that would be a bit more complicated. Married women aren’t the only ones who use bindi markings of course as they also can have other uses and meanings, such as representing the third eye. Given Matthew’s powers, this would make sense, but it still doesn’t fully fit correctly in my beautiful mind.

The biggest thing that perplexes me is their colors and shape. They aren’t exactly round--they actually seem to be more elongated, like a very thin teardrop. This made me wonder if they were actually supposed to be tilaks instead, which makes slightly more sense to my big brain. This has to do with two main reasons: 1, both men and women can wear it. 2, Shiva and Shakti.

Let’s start with Shakta.

These statements already clear up the shape, color, and meaning behind the girl’s markings. They are the feminine consorts to Matthew Patel and his escapades. Personally I really like this for multiple reasons, the biggest being that it makes their dynamic significantly more wholesome. While Matthew and his girls don’t interact together much in terms of actual conversation, the general case seems to be that they are protective, uplifting, and devoted to him, while in return we see that they are treated with respect and not once does he ever see them as lesser or treat them as such. (This could be countered with the fact that they do get put in harm's way a lot, but given that they seem to be able to respawn just fine it probably isn’t an issue and something they are willing to do for him anyways.)

With that, let’s talk about Shiva.

Matthew and Shiva have lots of things going on, which personally I find really freaking cool. He literally summons what appears to be the trishul, which is Shiva’s trident. How dope is that??

When it comes to the actual symbol on his forehead however, that becomes more difficult. I wondered if he was Shaiva (Shaiva meaning “follower of Shiva”), and that was what the symbol meant, but I couldn’t find anything regarding his specifically.

Interestingly enough, the tripundra does share the teardrop shape that Matthew has. What confuddles me is the lack of the three lines, and the color. I am unsure as to whether or not this has meaning, was on purpose, or was just what they decided to go with.

Overall it appears that bhasma is applied to protect its wearer from physical harm/illness as well as serving its spiritual purposes which works really well given that it appeared during a fight where Matthew was in fact, getting harmed.

(I do want to mention though that I do think that it is not actual bhasma as that really wouldn’t make sense, but the similarities and “coincidences” are really cool to me.)

Okay, how does this relate to Matthew’s powers?

If Matthew is invoking the power of Shiva to aid him through the third eye, or the ajna chakra, this would make the most sense (and would explain why we hadn’t seen it before, probably). I also think it explains his fireballs pretty well, as I’ve noticed a lot of fire and burning practices and metaphors throughout my search for answers.
