Astrology notes #2 💥
Please do not copy or plagerise my work, if you want some of my observations to be included, please mention my username, thx
SOLAR RETURN EDITION
💥 As far as we know, 2020 has been a mess of a year mostly because of a stellium in capricorn (jupiter, pluto, saturn all in conj.) Causing all kinds of earthquakes and illnesses. When i read someone's SR chart from 2020, the worst thing is that they had it conjunct their IC and mars Rx in Aries opposite Asc (conj. Dsc) The amount of stress and literal change caused this person to have a hard mental illness and misuse a lot of substances because they didn't know best for themselves anymore. Almost everything in their safe zone changed, and mostly not for the good. People around that person mostly mistreated them hard and even for no reason, most of the time
💥 Moon conjunct jupiter retrograde signifies an overload of negative emotions and probably indicate substance abuse
💥 Having 11th house ruler conjunct lilith usually means that the person will change a lot of friend groups due to feelings of unacceptance and loneliness
💥 10th house ruler conjunct moon can make the person's emotions and feelings pretty much depend on their reputation and what impression people get around them.
💥 NA chiron conjunct SR Dsc is about both people mistreating you and causing trauma, and people getting in your life just so you can heal and make you more valuable
💥 12th house ruler conjunct mars can cause extreme/gruesome/vivid dreams
💥 Venus conjunct Lilith can make a person feel lack of appreciation, love, connection, self-love, loss in hobbies and overall emptiness prevails, yet also growing up real fast after that
💥 Strong indicators of getting in a relationship could be Sun conjunct Venus, SN in 7th house, Venus on angular houses, Vx in 7th house, Sun conjunct Mars, Venus trine/sextile/conjunct Vx
💥 Placements that indicate karmic relationships are 7th lord opposite chiron/in aspect with saturn, 7th lord Rx, South node in aspect with 7th lord, SN in 7th house
💥 Stellium in 4th house indicates huge instability due to planet energies mixup and often indicate of being away from home place or even moving away

Energy Update: January 2024
Tumblr media
January is a "9" month [1 (January) + 8 (2+0+2+4=8) = 9] in an "8" year. Though we are on the edge of something new - both represented by some of the astrological transits of the month and the beginning of a new year - we still have some stuff to wrap up before we can truly move onwards. A lot has changed since the beginning of 2020 - everything really, if you want to look at it that way. As our lives slowly bend and adapt to the changes that have been wrought in the world, we still have to live in it.
Numerologically, 9 is our last number as each multi-digit number gets added back together again. In this way we know that February is a 10/1 month: 2 (February) + 8 (2023) = 10 = 1+0 = 1. February is not the beginning, but February is a beginning. Now we just need to get there.
The Details
We begin January with the Sun and Pluto in Capricorn, retrograde Mercury and Mars in Sagittarius, Venus in Scorpio, Jupiter and retrograde Uranus in Taurus, and Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. This is an unusual alignment of planets and worth noting here. We know that the Sun, Mercury, and Venus travel together but right now they are being joined by both Mars and Pluto as they cross over Sagittarius and Capricorn this season. Additionally, our other planets are congregated together as well in Taurus and Pisces. It's also worth noting that all of this (/crazyhandwaving) began four years ago when all of our planets except for Uranus and Neptune were in the sign of Capricorn.
This month the last of our planets from this 2020 transit, Pluto, finally leaves Capricorn for good. This is one of the big gong crashes that denotes time. Pluto will remain in Aquarius until 2043.
Additionally, our Sun enters the sign of Aquarius, and Mercury, Venus, and Mars will enter the sign of Capricorn. January also marks the end of retrograde season for the next four months as Mercury and Uranus station direct.
The Nitty Gritty
January begins with a bang as Jupiter stations direct on 12/31/23 and Mercury stations direct on 1/1/24. This is a great omen for both January and 2024 as a whole as the first day of the month/year will set the stage for the energy of the time ahead. All signs point to "go" as we only have one single planet left in retrograde (Uranus). Uranus also stations direct this month (on 1/27); we will not experience another planetary retrograde until April.
That said, many of us are still carrying some of the weight of our pasts and it may be hindering our progress. As mentioned above, January is a "9" month of endings that will lead to February being a "10/1" month of beginnings. In this way, January can be seen as a series of releases that can help to unburden us of the things that we do not need to bring with us into the future we see ahead. This process may be triggering for some, especially those who are lost in the past or unduly holding onto something that has passed its expiration date.
The big release dates to watch out for include: 1/1 when Mercury stations direction, 1/4 when Mars enters Capricorn, 1/11 our new moon in Capricorn, 1/13 when Mercury enters Capricorn, 1/20 when BOTH the Sun and Uranus enter Aquarius, 1/23 when Venus enters Capricorn, and 1/27 when Uranus stations direct.
Any of the above dates can be used magically to speed this change along if you are so inclined. Each of these days may be a relief or triggering depending on your life circumstances and general personality. Stay prepared and aware.
There are also a few days of the month where life may seem to "help" you along on this release process, whether you wish it to or not. As our personal planets move through the sign of Capricorn, each will make a cardinal t-square with our lunar nodes of fate (in Aries and Capricorn). Each of these transits will carry with it some of the energy of eclipse season. Some doors may open during this time and some will inevitably close. When the lunar nodes are involved we sometimes find that it is too late to make certain choices, but also that new and interesting choices have become available to us. Our Sun will form a t-square with the nodes on 1/10, Mercury will on 1/28, and Mars will on 1/30. In February, Venus will form one final t-square to complete this process.
For transits like these there is one simple piece of advice: don't hold on too tightly. With our North Node in Aries, we are being asked to stand up for ourselves and that often means letting go of prior conditioning from our childhood or society that keeps us small and forces us into conformity. This can trigger a lot of deep-seated defenses and unhealthy coping mechanisms from our past. The big flex is to name it and bring it into the light rather than letting these things control or destroy us. If you have Aries or Libra in the 12th house this may be especially difficult for you, but this makes this work especially important.
Chiron, also sitting in Aries, shows us that being our unique selves can be quite a painful process. Each of our personal planets will also square off with the Wounded Healer during this time and each of these dates (Sun square Chiron on 1/6, Mars square Chiron on 1/25, and Mercury square Chiron on 1/28 plus Venus in February) is another chance to reexamine our core wounding surrounding standing out versus fitting in. This shit leads deep back into our childhoods and often is the center of our deepest fears. If you are into shadow work, these topics will likely prove especially fruitful during these times. A word to the wise about Chiron: the way out of the pain is always through examining it and learning to understand and create adaptive strategies for management and mitigation. Many people who have Chiron highlighted in their natal birth chart find that healing "out loud" helps them to deal with and make sense of more ouchy moments like these.
In this way, the month may feel very cyclical. You see a way forward and grab for it. It's painful beyond what was expected as it sparks deep wounds. From there the work is to transcend and release the wounds. Rinse and repeat.
It's certainly not work for the faint of heart. But that's not a surprise, we're in Capricorn season - a sign known for almost being compelled to work. This isn't the summer work of planting seeds, tending, and bringing them to harvest. This is the winter work of reexamination and reclamation. Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, is sitting in a supportive sextile in Pisces to help us along in this process but it WILL be work. The big flex all month is to keep moving, to keep putting one foot in front of the other, and to keep on keepin' on. With some many chances, you CAN get it right.
Our two lunar events for the month are a new moon at 20° Capricorn on 1/11 and a full moon at 05° Leo on 1/25.
The new moon will be more supercharged as 1/11 is 111 reflecting an influx of 1/new beginnings energy which will also be in close square to our lunar nodes. If you do not set intentions for the year on 1/1, 1/11 will be another strong time to do so. The new moon's numerology is 2/2 [2 (10 Capricorn Sun + 10 Capricorn Moon = 2), and 2 (2 Capricorn new moon + 9 January = 11 = 2] which shows that it is a powerful day for creation and togetherness.
Our full moon in Leo carries the energy of 7/7 [7 (11 Aquarius Sun + 5 Leo Moon = 16 = 7) and 7 (7 Aquarius full moon + 9 January = 16 = 7]. 7 is the number of spirituality and is generally associated with intuition and inner understandings of all kinds. This is a great day to divine on your journey through January and will aid in any magic designed to align you with where your path is leading you.
If you're looking for a day to do money magic or other prosperity work in January, Friday 1/12 is your day when Mars in Capricorn is in exact trine with Jupiter in Taurus. Work that earth money magic - Capricorn is seeing to their future and Taurus loves the finer things in life. This is a big luxury day - this is a day to treat yo' self even if you're not doing any magic. But do that money magic if you've got it - earthy trines like this don't come around every day.
I see two days to watch out for during the month.
On Saturday, 1/20, the Sun meets up in its yearly conjunction with our planet of death and transformation, Pluto and they both enter the sign of Aquarius in lockstep with one another. This is a big change of the guard and it's likely to be reflected both in the outer world at large and in our personal lives. Pluto has been in the sign of Capricorn for more than a decade and its force has been slowly eroding our outdated systems of government and bureaucracy. Now, it shifts its gaze to Aquarius where it will remain until 2043.
Pluto moves on a glacial scale so we shouldn't expect to see the effects of its ingress initially but what we should expect to see is the fallout of what has been left behind. Given the planet and its namesake, I use the term fallout very intentionally here. Capricorn rules the governing systems of our lives; in truth, it rules all things that are contractual like government bodies, businesses, and even marriage. Anything that requires signing a contract is in some way controlled by Saturn and Capricorn as Saturn's emissary in this world. Pluto has been shaking up these systems for quite some time and not all of them will survive the release that comes as our dwarf planet finally exits the scene.
Sometimes you don't know how bad the disaster is until it's over and the dust has settled. I would expect to see governmental shutdowns, businesses failing or entering bankruptcy, and the dissolution of marriages as the energy slowly begins to shift away from Capricorn and into Aquarius. In this sense, any structures that are held on by a thread will be most at risk through the beginning of the year. If this is you and it impacts your life specifically, I will guide you back to the words above: Don't Hold on too tight.
Sometimes things need to fall apart. Sometimes you can't pick up the pieces.
The second day of interest is 1/29 when Mars in Capricorn meets up in trine with Uranus in Taurus. I have found that it is best to keep an eye on when these two planets meet, regardless of the aspect that they make with one another. Mars is our planet of action and war and Uranus rules the unexpected disaster. This is Tower weather; it is best to do less and avoid any overt dangers if you can. It's a day to stay away from explosives of all kinds. Uranus in Taurus is especially eruption-prone, make of that what you will. We are nearing the end of Uranus's transit of Taurus (something that we should be very grateful for) but it's not over until it's over.
January is the cosmic right time to put in the work to better your life. January is the cosmic right time to take accountability for where you are the problem. January is the cosmic right time to let that shit go so that when February rolls around, you are ready.

2023 major transits
MARS GOES DIRECT - January 12th motivation, pleasure, will
After two and a half months in retrograde, Mars will finally be direct for the whole year. Mars is the planet of action-taking and will. We might have felt rather indecisive or confused, not really sure where to direct our attention during this transit, but as soon as Mars goes direct, we will be able to focus more, be more social and outgoing and open up to new information. However, it’s still in Gemini until March, so don’t expect to have solutions all of a sudden - but rather use this time to research and make sure that you read the right information. Collectively, this transit will help us put into action what we’ve researched, it will allow us to feel pleasure around the things we have been ignoring and we might be more active in our bodies.
SATURN IN PISCES - March 7th imagination meets reality Saturn has been in Aquarius since 2020 and we have finally learned the lessons of it. Starting in March, we will slowly ease into the wisdom of Saturn for the following three years. Saturn in Pisces is here to either bring order to chaos or bring chaos to order. We might learn to be more disciplined in our spiritual rituals, our goals and wishes, turning our art into something tangible and useful and setting emotional boundaries. But until we do so, we might experience a lack of boundaries, overindulgence in unhealthy habits or zoning out into our inner reality. Collectively, there might be more rules and laws that come up connected to art, as well as laws around drugs, alcohol, or mental health. Activism will become very impactful.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS - March 23rd revolution in a digital world This is huge. Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008 and will slowly shift into Aquarius for a sneak peek this year, while in 2024 it will go into Aquarius and stay there for the next 20 years. This energy will be one we will get used to. Pluto in Aquarius will look like understanding the reasoning behind pain, behind the world’s most dark doings, as a way to move forward and build a more self-aware environment in which we can live and feel safe. It’s about global warming, artificial intelligence, the darker side of technology, debates and ultimately, using authenticity to evoke greater feelings within us. This also looks like communities built on interests they share, especially in an online setting, but also not following rules. JUPITER IN TAURUS - May 16th money, money, money Coming from the energetic Aries, Jupiter will move into Taurus till 2024. This means growth in anything that has to do with the Taurus archetype. We are already in it with prices, money will be a very talked about subject. However, this also indicates us overindulging, overspending or having more possibility to earn fast. Also, this transit is great when it comes to feeling more stable, but it might make us want to cling onto things, not allow change to occur or overidentify with material things. There will be an increase in self-help books or subjects, self-worth discussions and it’s important to see what resonates with us. Spending time in nature, grounding, sustainability will also be big. It’s all about learning to balance both sides. VENUS RETROGRADE - July 22nd taming the beast within Venus goes retrograde every year and a half and this time it will be in the sign of Leo until September. This indicates a period of analyzing and rethinking our relationships, especially from the perspective of what gives us pleasure, what makes us feel alive and how we can bring more of that into our lives from within us - not from an external source. Once we do find that, we will be able to adjust to the new environment we want to create once it goes direct again. Also, Venus has to do with money as well, so it’s a time of considering how our spending might influence us and trying to bring back the things we were investing in as a kid or investing more in our kids and adopting a rather “spending by the heart” habit. MERCURY RETROGRADES IN EARTH SIGNS April 21st - in Taurus August 23rd - in Virgo December 13th - in Capricorn redirection of perfection
Yearly, Mercury goes retrograde in different signs. This year, the earth signs are being targeted. This indicates the fact that our grounding presence will be a bit shaken by the retrogrades and we will be forced to retrace our decisions, some of which might have seemed pretty stable to begin with. Mercury retrograde in Taurus will ask us to review the way we spend, the way we view our worth and what we value. Mercury retrograde in Virgo will ask us to review the way we talk to ourselves, our habits and eating styles, lifestyle and health. Mercury retrograde in Capricorn will ask us to review our career path and long-term goals. NORTH NODE IN ARIES SOUTH NODE IN LIBRA - July 17th
The nodes of the moon have been in the sign of Taurus and Scorpio and will be until July, when they shift into Aries and Libra. The South Node being in Scorpio has taught us how to embrace the dark, whilst it being in Libra will teach us how to let go of anything superficial and how to speak up instead. This will come in the form of lessons, in which we won’t feel heard or appreciated and so be pushed to speak. The North Node in Taurus till July is getting us closer to the inner stability we’ve been searching for, while it moving into Aries will amplify our need to express ourselves, take action and not let others dictate how to live. Collectively, we will move towards focusing on our body. LUNAR & SOLAR ECLIPSES Apr 20th - Solar eclipse in Aries May 5th - Lunar eclipse in Scorpio Oct 14th - Solar eclipse in Libra Oct 28th - Lunar eclipse in Taurus emotional back and forth The eclipses this year are a way for us to let go of the themes of the past year that have reached an end. We might be done with a project, finish paying a loan, letting go of heavy emotions that do not serve us. Instead, we are going to look forward to taking more risks, getting away from gossip and lower vibrations, we will embrace relationships with a newer light and be more open to mutual understanding. At the same time, we might stubbornly take decisions that we regret, rush into things or be slightly careless. All meant to help us grow.

March 2024 Important Dates
Tumblr media
AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's March Forecast.
February recap: The conjunction between Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto in Aquarius conjunction has aligned with new tech developments. The Venus-Pluto conjunction heralded OpenAI's new text-to-video generator and the ensuing discussion on its potential political, labor, and artistic effects. Mercury was conjunct Mars and Venus trine Jupiter (with Virgo Moon completing a grand trine & involving the Saturn-Pisces opposition) the day Neuralink tried its first human subject. How will different parts of society react to further developments in cybernetics and body augmentation? Past occurrences of astrological alignments can help us make predictions. Advances in robotics during a major transit in the humanistic sign of Aquarius will challenge us to redefine what it means to be human. On February 10th, around the Mars-Pluto conjunction, a group of people set a self-driving delivery car on fire in San Francisco. These robo-taxis are likely going to increase when Jupiter enters Gemini, and indeed a few companies are poised to launch in other cities.
In other Pluto in Aquarius news, last episode Chris noted there's work in using X-rays to ancient scrolls from Herculaneum and Pompeii that can't be opened without incurring damage. On February 5th, the day of the Mercury-Pluto conjunction, the first images of one of these scrolls have been made available. This fits with Mercury-Pluto themes of lost or buried information coming to light. On the same day King Charles of England's cancer diagnosis was announced--an announcement of mortality. We also had the first privately-funded lunar vehicle landing. Pluto makes large thing imperceptibly small and makes microscopic things enormous.
In Saturn in Pisces news, in 2020 Chris predicted success for Miley Cyrus's Saturn return and indeed she won the Grammy. This also marks part 2 of the Dune movie--the book was written under Saturn in Pisces as well. Other influential sci-fi & fantasy stories were written under Saturn in Pisces like Lord of the Rings, and our hosts predict that a new classic will be born during this transit. In other Mars-Pluto news, we have ambiguous stories about nuclear weapons and Israel's announcement of storming Rafah. Unfortunately the upcoming eclipses (connected to 6 months ago) do not bode well for cessation of warfare. On February 15th, farmers in India have begun striking again, and doctors in South Korea walked out on the job to protest working conditions--Mars in Aquarius squaring Jupiter-Uranus in Taurus reactivates these ongoing labor disputes.
Our hosts recorded the forecast before the perfect Mercury-Saturn-Sun conjunction in Pisces hit on February 28th (the day I'm typing this!), which is one of the major influences over the first half of March. The other big influence is Mars-Venus in Aquarius. In the mutable, indeterminate sign of Pisces, Saturn doesn't bring us as much order as he did in the previous two signs of his domicile.
March 2nd/3rd - Venus square Uranus Venus in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus--either a change is needed to bring us peace and pleasure, or something is disrupting our pleasure. Austin says either way, this placement prompts us for significant changes. Venus's is overcoming Uranus (earlier in the zodiac, has the upper hand), so we can make good use of this placement if we shake things up a little bit in relationships.
March 9th/10th - Mars square Uranus, Mercury enters Aries Mercury has entered the sign where he'll retrograde, stretching what would normally be a transit of a few weeks into 2 months. Mercury in Mars's sign amplifies the wishes of the red planet, who's doing some pretty interesting stuff. In a firey Mars-ruled sign, Mercury wants something practical to do. This clarity and decisiveness will be welcome after all the indecision of Pisces. However, the North Node is in Aries, with the power to obscure things even when it's not blocking the Sun's light. There will be an eclipse here in April, so the pathfinding is tricky. We'll definitely be doubling back as Mercury prepares to retrograde. Sometimes you need to dive into things while you have the vision, yet before you have the rationale. Austin likens it to clearing your way through thick jungle terrain to determine whether a route is viable--it's only by going forward that you find out that you're on the wrong path, and thus, where the right one is. Mercury retrogrades teach us to learn from our mistakes--third time's the charm!
Mars follows Venus's path, and along with Mercury, weighs heavily on the upcoming lunation. Mars-Uranus connotes surprise attacks, sudden severing, unexpected explosions. Internally this can make us feel restless and impulsive. Keywords: recklessness and action without planning. Think of a cigarette being dropped near an oil drum. Technology disruptions are also likely.
March 10th - Pisces New Moon
Tumblr media
Saturn and Neptune are close by to this lunation, and though Mars-Uranus is weighing in, Mars in particular is ultimately reporting to Saturn's broader plan. As Neptune and Saturn approach their conjunction, we'll seek escapism and the imaginal as a respite for our fatigue. We need to step out from being immersed in these waters. Mercury conjoined Neptune on the 8th before he left Pisces, leaving the imprint of confused or empathic communications in the air as the lunar cycle resets for the month.
March 11th/12th - Venus enters Pisces From here she builds up to a conjunction with Saturn at 11° on the 21st. As the sign of her exaltation, she's better able to bring harmony and reconciliation in our relationships, though Saturn brings a cool distance to our relationships. She'll conjoin Neptune in this sign next month. We may also see some kind of artwork that resonates with people on a deep emotional level.
March 17th - Sun conjoins Neptune, Electional chart
Tumblr media
At around 1PM local time, this chart has Cancer rising with a dignified Moon in Cancer, applying to a trine with Venus at 7Pisces and sextile with Jupiter in Taurus in the 11th house. This chart occurs before things go crazy later in the month and is the best time to start something new. It's especially good for friends, groups and alliances and doing new things outside of the box.
March 18th - Mercury enters shadow (not pictured) Mercury hits 15Aries, the point he'll retrograde back to, at the same time as he conjoins the North Node. This is a precursor of things that will occur in April.
March 19th/20th - Sun enters Aries This puts the Sun in the same time as the Node that will eclipse it.
March 21st - Venus conjoins Saturn Saturn and Venus bring a sort of melancholy beauty to things. Though we may see them at odds for signifying discipline and love respectively, Saturn does exalt in Venus's sign of Libra. In the sign of Pisces empathy is especially relevant--think understanding each other's feelings because we've suffered the same things. Nostalgia is another important keyword.
March 22nd - Mars enters Pisces This puts him on track to contact to Saturn (exact cojunction c. April 10th)--a dangerous combination. Along with the Sun in Aries and Mercury slowing, this represents the event horizon of major developments for the rest of the month and early April. This will be the first Mars-Saturn conjunction in Pisces; note the Aquarius conjunctions in 2020 and later years coincided with the COVID lockdown(s). Sea lane transit will likely slam on the brakes as well, and current maritime conflicts will see big developments. More figuratively we may ask "where are we going, and what dangers lie ahead?"
March 25th - Libra Lunar Eclipse
Tumblr media
For about a week things have been building up to this eclipse. Its twin will be visible across much of the United States in early April, meanwhile a comet will start to be visible in the night sky. Mars in Pisces copresent Saturn weighs heavily on this eclipse. The pace of events starts moving quickly and chaotically around eclipse season, and things start to move rapidly up or down, especially for prominent people & companies. This eclipse represents a culmination or next chapter of events started in October--major beginnings and major endings (in the Libra house of your chart for individuals). The picture may begin to get clearer. It's not the last installment, but things are clearly underway. Unfortunately this does not bode well for ongoing global conflicts. We can't see clearly with the eclipse, meanwhile Mercury is slowing down about to station retrograde, while right on the North Node. Combined with dangerous Mars-Saturn, it's a bit of a crazy situation. Jupiter's approach to a conjunction with Uranus indicates some surprising, amazing wins, and some people will find unexpected good fortune once the smoke clears. However, not everyone will be able to count on winning the Jupiter lottery here. (Later in April, when Jupiter conjoins Uranus exactly we can expect some kind of freedom and liberation).
The two weeks between these eclipses will be very active, dramatic, and chaotic, with beginnings and endings galore. In the Indian astrology dasha timing technique, the US Sibly chart has been in a time period ruled by Rahu (north node) since the early 2010s, making any eclipses visible in that country especially important to it. This is a time to be flexible!

27 July 2023:
Even still, Trump is unlikely to win in November 2024.
15 July 2024:
What I’m about to say might sound as if I’m going out on a real limb here, but Trump isn’t going to win the election. He has worse astrological problems this November than he did back in 2020. I know he’s seemingly sitting high and mighty right now, and some people are already referring to him as the “future president,” but the winds are going to change as we progress through August and the fall.
[...]
I expect it to be a Republican Congress–both houses by whatever margin
July 2024:
Trump’s chart does not favor him getting re-elected. He is facing the same astrological problems that caused him to lose in 2020.
While it won’t be official until three and a half months from now, Trump is going to lose.
04 August 2024:
As for the election results, I think most people won’t have a problem. Trump may scream & whine about losing, but I think this election will be decided by a bigger margin than either the 2016 or 2020 elections. Just a guess, but I think that’s the likely result. Also, I expect the Republicans to take the Senate, which will give them full control of Congress. There will be less motivation for the craziness that happened after the 2020 elections.
Also, astrologically, you don’t have something like Mercury retrograde happening around the election. Mercury goes retrograde in late November, which is weeks after the election, and Mars goes retrograde in early December, which is almost a month later.

Pluto Eris Square
I woke up from an awful dream in June of two thousand sixteen In a far right fake news fucked up universe And though we sang the Mountain Goats loud enough to bruise our throats Every year that followed still got worse and worse
-Grace Petrie “Fixer Upper”
So 2016 was a weird year, wasn’t it? Brexit, Harambe, Trump, clown attacks, The Orlando Shooting, Syria. Things got weird, and then, in 2017 they got weirder. I think it’s fair to say 2020 was the weirdest of years and things are still pretty weird now, to the extent that normality starts to feel, in itself, weird.
I would never want to blame everything on one astrological aspect, but it has to be noted, the 2016-2025 Pluto-Eris square maps really well onto this period.

This year, for the first time in years, the Eris Pluto Square let up a little bit. We’re heading back into it now as Pluto retrogrades back towards Capricorn. But for the first time in a while this particular energy has cleared, leaving us to see what normality looks like without this square active.
What is Pluto-Eris Energy?
People often talk about Pluto and Eris as the Higher Octaves of Mars, but this is inaccurate. It’s useful to say because our society is obsessed with the idea of higher, transcendental truths and astrologers who study new astrological objects are going to want to associate their findings with higher truths because that’s good capitalism. But it would be more accurate to say that Pluto is a lower octave of Mars and Eris is a lower octave still.
Tumblr media
Mars covers all the planets in the zodiac in just 2.1 years. Its time in any one sign is measured in months. Pluto takes 244 years and its time in any one sign is measured in about a generation. Eris has a 557 year cycle and because its orbit is extremely elliptical it’s in Aries from 1922 to 2044 - 122 years, or 21.9% of this entire cycle.
What this means is that in terms of octaves Pluto and Eris are much lower and slower than Mars. This seems to give them an element of depth. If Mars is attraction, Pluto is obsession. If Mars is violence, Pluto is trauma. If Mars is energised, Pluto triggers the survival drive. I’d argue Eris goes deeper still. It is cutting so deep that what you get to are the things that can’t be removed.
When Eris and Pluto meet you have irreconcilable differences, major conflicts, things that are foundational to society coming into conflict. This is especially true this cycle.
This Eris - Pluto cycle began with the conjunction on 17 December 1756 at 18°36 of Sagittarius. Despite this they had their waxing square, waxing trine, opposition, waning trine and waning square while Pluto was in Aries and that’s where Eris will be for their waning sextile. Eris is in 6 signs during this Eris-Pluto cycle but all but two of the key aspects happened with Eris in Aries so has an active, martial energy to it.
If you’re following this, and agree with me that Eris is fundamental planet alongside Pluto, you will be unsurprised to hear the last Pluto-Eris square was 1936-1949 and was at its strongest during World War Two.
What this means for us now
2024 is the last hurrah for the current Eris-Pluto Square. It’s not as strong as it’s been in the past but it’s still an underlying important energy of our time. In 2024 over half the world’s population is having an election and in the UK, USA and India the far-right are leading the conversation. We have ideological conflicts, a moral imperative to engage in anti-fascist work and deep fears for how this period will impact the survival of all of us, but especially the most vulnerable people.
We know this energy. If you’ve been fighting in this time, you probably have the methods to fight ready to go when the next inevitable crisis comes up. But there’s a bigger problem coming up and that’s normality. What happens when the current square ends and the fight for marginalised people stops being such a fiery spectacle? For years the fight against global fascism has been massive, dramatic, and very visible. What happens when there is no crisis and we’re stuck with the new normal that’s emerged from all this?
Sadly, it seems unlikely that the end of the Eris-Pluto square will be the end of extreme violence, fascism, and war. What I would expect is these conflicts becoming more a matter of attrition and normalisation - the banality of evil. The genocides continue, but they no longer shock us.
The promise offered by the astrology of Eris and Pluto is that we come out of the Eris-Pluto Square into a quintile, where the skills and experience we’ve gained harden into a playbook of methods to keep fighting. We have experience and we have knowledge and we keep going.
In natal astrology
The oldest people with an Eris-Pluto square in their birth charts are now eight. That’s still young but this is a generation that’s going to come up and start looking into astrology before you know it. Mars-Pluto squares in a birth chart are often indication of pretty bad trauma. Eris-Pluto Squares in charts will mean an early childhood defined by traumatic experiences. Just the nature of being raised by parents experiencing the pandemic ensures that. The astrology indicates that this generation could replicate some of that trauma throughout their life and astrologers will be seeing that for years to come.
As most astrologers don’t use Eris, I would argue they’ll be cutting themselves off from a key diagnostic criteria that would really help explain the lives of the 2016-2025 generation. But whatever. There are usually more than one tell for a traumatic experience in a chart. The underlying, fundamental, Eris-level truth of this square that all of us have to face is a generation who will need care and time and understanding beyond what we might expect looking at their lives now. We can do that, that’s what we need to offer younger generations.

IS THE KETU THE MOST MALEFIC CHARACTER IN THE ASTROLOGICAL FAMILY?
Tumblr media
Ketu stands for the subtle energies that either enable us to overcome our karmas or force us to confront our most potent and harmful karmas, either individually or collectively. The top astrologer in India has determined the course of our current astrological conflict with Ketu.
Rahu and Ketu, two of the top astrologers in India, designate the zodiacal nodes or locations where eclipses of the Sun and Moon can take place. A solar eclipse happens when the New Moon coincides with one of the nodes. A lunar eclipse happens when the full Moon coincides with one of the nodes according to the best astrologer in India.
Every year, there are often two sets of eclipses, spaced about six months apart. The nodes are not fixed; instead, they wander backward around the zodiac in cycles of 18.6 years. The Moon returns to the same node in 27 days.
 Strong Ketu:
Ketu is given a faint Mars influence that is mostly complemented by hints of Saturn. On a personal level, it leads to poor judgement, self-criticism, isolation, harm, and poisons. On a collective level, it causes wars, revolutions, and constrictive, fanatic viewpoints. Rahu stands for the media, entertainment, and the power to sway the masses, whereas Ketu represents mathematics, computers, research, and technology on a collective level today.
Ketu is the most significant planet in the chart for showing Self-realization because it is the highest level planet that offers spirituality, emancipation, and psychic knowledge in addition to astrology. The most potent spiritual influence in the chart might be said to be Ketu.
Because it puts a stop to everything, it is frequently referred to as the "terminator." Ketu possesses the power of negation, which at the highest spiritual level is the emancipation from body and mind, also known as Nirvana, and at the most severe human level is suicide. Ketu can represent death, either physically or psychologically, or it might represent transcendence to a greater reality.
 Ketu Transcends the Mind:
Ketu bestows inner abilities of perception, like the ability to see without an eye, hear without an ear, or breathe without a breath. The highest level of great Yogis and sages, including the opening of the third eye and crown chakras, are indicated by Ketu. On a more general level, however, Ketu represents the forces of opposing views and ideals that breed conflict and violence while also arousing strong subliminal feelings.
Ketu is now traversing the galactic centre. The coronavirus pandemic has been the most notable event. It has a peculiar name since Rahu, who is behind Ketu in the zodiac, joins this pandemic as a result of Rahu's retrograde influence on all of those planets.
Tumblr media
However, even once Ketu enters Scorpio in September 2020 and turns retrograde, it will still be powerful, offering possibly greater potential for transformation for those who are receptive to it, with a new Kalasarpa Yoga developing in early 2021. The greatest opportunity for transformation will arise when Ketu crosses Jyeshta (Kali's star) and Rahu simultaneously crosses Rohini (Lakshmi's star). June 2021 will be the focal point of this.
In any event, its passage through the Galactic Center and Mula Nakshatra has highlighted the most significant issues facing humanity and civilization, such as our beliefs, aspirations, and identities. It will encourage transcendence, which, if we reject it, may lead to annihilation. According to the famous astrologer in India, how we use the Ketu energy in humanity today will determine whether this century is coloured with darkness or light. This is especially true now that Ketu is moving into the sign of Scorpio.

2023
2023 is a universal year 7. the 7 is the vibration of the seeker of knowledge who needs alone-time to unpack the truths flooding in. Your aline-time is eseential year for your spiritual renewal. Things to consider:
We begin 2023 with Mercury and Mars both retrograde. Retrogrades are always a time to pause and reflect. Bc we're moving into a universal year 7, it's an especially profound time to do any inner-work you may have been putting off. Look to your Gemini/capricorn houses for clues.
In march of 2023, Saturn - the planet of restriction, karma and discipline will be leaving aquarius and moving into pisces for the next 3 years. saturn transits are profound. As saturn (restrictions) moved into saturn (freedoms) in march of 2020, that's when lockdown happend.
Also in march of 2023, pluto - the planet of transformation, death and rebirth - will be moving into aquarius for a few months, giving us a preview of the next 20 year pluto in aquarius transit, the will begin in 2024. This transit will challenge our relationship to technology.
Questions to consider: what boundaries do you need to enforce between you and technology? As the technoloy around us continues to evolve, are you happy with how you're evolving with it? How can you use technology to support your peace and not disrupt it?
2023 is bringing with it some poweful energy. Gice yourself the gift of creating some sort of sacred alone-time practice. This is a year to get serious abour your meditation. Or to schedule times where you put your phone down and just walk in nature.
2023 is the year to return back to yourself. Use the retrograde energy at the start of the year to reflect on your values and long-tern goals. Make a plan for what boundaries you need to enforce so that you can have some needed moments of isolated time. It will serve you well.

Jumping ahead to Solar Return 2024
Tumblr media
I was prompted to look ahead in my solar returns for the next few years because due to low student numbers at work, administration will resort to budget cuts and layoffs, and I’d be one of the first to be let go since I still would be in my tenure process.
What is freaking me out is not only the SR Sun in the SR 6H of office environment, but mostly SR Pluto conjunct my SR MC of career.
I can see this going either way:
Enrollment stays low or drops even more, and as a result of reorganization, I get laid off (other things could be butting heads with higher-ups, illusions about my job could be removed). or
Things get better and I rise up in my career with new responsibilities, transforming in my career and public reputation. Introduce new concepts, tasks, and philosophies can lead to changed job description or future career possibilities. Ambition is implied, advancement is possible if I’m willing to work for it.
It’s tricky, because the positive side could also play out as our new building being completed by the end of my 2024 Solar Return (late 2025), which would bring both the SR 6H Sun and 10H Pluto into play (literal change in physical office environment which would definitely transform our careers). I’ve heard that a 10H Pluto could play out as people taking you more seriously. MAYBE the SR Venus in 7H will lend to the more positive outcome, due to its sociability in partnerships, especially since in my job, I have to cultivate cordial working relationships with people outside of my department.
At least the square between the SR 6H Sun and 10H Pluto isn’t that valid since it’s so far apart, the square aspect doesn’t really exist. So that might help too. And even though it’s not shown on this chart, my SR Part of Fortune is in the 10H as well, and is trine my SR 6H Sun. Maybe I’ll be having some good luck and have potential to be successful, especially since the 10H is an angular house, and these tend to be more significant in astrology.
I’m really hoping it’s the positive outcome, because I worked so hard to get to where I am now in a job I love and enjoy. I’ll try not to think about it too much, since I’d stress out over it and just doing my best, that way if anything bad happens, I’ll have a ton of experience on my resume.
Edit 5/2/23
AND it just hit me that I forgot that 10H can also mean the parent (I’ve heard it be the dad or the mom or the more authoritative parent). Maybe in my 2024-2025 cycle my relationship with one of my parents will undergo regeneration or transformation. Of course, the knee jerk reaction is the death of a parent (which I hope not, I want to get a few more years out of them), but then I know transit Pluto conjunct MC happens a lot for a lot of people and nobody ends up dying.
Or maybe my reputation/public image undergoes a change. I hardly think I’m getting married (lack of partner, for one thing), so maybe in some other way my reputation could change.
And of course, nothing could happen at all. My 2020 solar return had a 12H Mars and Uranus, not conjunct, and nothing happened, or at least nothing I can remember. And both Mars and Uranus were retrograde. My 2024 SR Pluto is also retrograde and that makes me wonder when looking back at my 2020 SR with both Mars and Uranus retrograde in 12H and nothing notable happening then, could that mean that a retrograde in a SR chart (especially since the SR Pluto conjunct MC is applying) changes the aspect’s quality? So in this case, an applying aspect turns separating? IDK, I still struggle to wrap my head around applying and separating aspects.
I tried looking up examples of a person having at least a transit Pluto conjunct their MC and Barack Obama had it in 1995. That was when he was running for senator and he ended up getting the seat.
I also looked up any fixed stars relating to success or failure that are on or near my SR MC and the closest one is Terebellum at 25° 51’ Capricorn with an orb of 1 degree. My SR MC is at 27°, so it’s BARELY out of the reach of Terebellum, which, according to Vivian E. Robson’s Fixed Stars and Constellations in Astrology “gives a fortune but with regret and disgrace, cunning, a mercenary nature and repulsiveness.” So either I keep my job but something distasteful about it will come with it, or (knock on wood it doesn’t happen) one of my parents or another relative passes away and leaves something for me (of course, the passing away part is what would make it awful). My SR Pluto for 2024 is at 29°, way out of the 1° orb that would make it conjunct with Terebellum, so that’s also reassuring.
And if I add regular transits, Saturn is going through my 10H (Whole Sign), and my natal Saturn is in 7H. So there might be continued limitation of creating new partnerships (romantic or otherwise), or structure being brought to my relationships, or my public image or career or status will be tied with my relationships or open enemies.
Oh well, better stop, otherwise I’ll think about this too much. Best approach is to just take one day at a time and focus on the now. Who knows, maybe it will be like my breast biopsy I had last December: looks scary, but ends up being ok.

Day of Saurn energy
Happy Saturday, day of Saturn energy.
Saturn is known as the great malefic, planet of hard work, responsibility, limitations, boundaries, and fear. But as the Roman God of agriculture, he is also the god of abundance and harvest. Work hard, but reap the results of the hard work. Take responsibility and wrestle with daily limitations and your ability to overcome limitations becomes well-honed. Saturn entered Aquarius March 21 2020. Went retrograde back into Capricorn in July and once more entered Aquarius in December 2020. On March 7th, 2023, Saturn will leave Aquarius and will enter the deep waters of Pisces. Moving away from dealing with those who have sun/moon/ascendant in fixed sings of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, Saturn will move to test those of the mutable modality which include Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.
Saturn will not be happy in Pisces, being ruled by Neptune. Saturn loves boundaries, Neptune loves to dissolve them. Saturn loves facts, Neptune loves mist, dreams, and visions. They will learn to work together by the time Saturn moves into Aries (2025).
Saturn is not only dealing with the mutable signs, Boss man is here to bring us to the end of many self-imposed limitations. When Saturn enters the last sign in the Zodiac in March of next year, we collectively begin the process of ending what was begun in October 1998.  At that time, Saturn entered Aries and began a new journey through the signs.  Aries equates to the Spring Equinox, Ostara – the energy of what Christians call Easter.  It is beginnings and exploration.  Aries focuses on self-realization, rules the first house and is ruled by Mars. You can trace a significant lesson plan in your own life by mapping out the journey between what you began in 1998 and in some ways, foresee the way you can best use the energy of Saturn in Pisces. You can clear that which some call Karma (cause and affect) and let self-imposed limitations dissolve in the time of Neptune-ruled Saturn energy.

On 7th December at 11:08pm E.T. so 8th Dec for Asia/Europe Sun and Moon will oppose each other forming a full moon at 16º02’ Gemini. This full moon will conjunct the retrograde Mars with earth standing between Mars and Sun in the once in 26 months Mars opposition when Mars shines brightest and has just been closest to earth on 1st Dec. Red fiery Mars visible in the night sky brings its influence in a very explosive manner during this opposition. We already see the build up to this point with repressed anger, drive, energy, heat, inflammation boiling to surface and it’s physically visible in Mars dominant individuals. Full Moon will occult this charged up Mars during this explosive opposition with our emotions clearly reflecting and needing an outlet of repressed anger, emotions, drive and inflammation. This is one pissed off full moon I have to say though pissed off is just another kind of drive and energy which is ofcourse going to be used to close chapters, come to conclusions, clearly state our stance and finding an outlet of many many years of repressed anger, emotions, drive, ambition.

Mars retrograde happens once every two years, we had the last one in Aries from 9th Sept to 13 Nov 2020. There are always lessons carried forward from last Mars retrograde especially on how we are using our energy and how we are going about getting what we love. Desires, angst, anger thats deeply suppressed due to upbringing, past events, self control they come out into conscious realisation during Mars retrograde. Passive aggressive elements come out to play in the open in active aggressive ways. This is harming you, this is hurting your insides, this is burning your drive, this is dissipating whatever is left of your passion, this is not your passion, you forgot what is passion, this is what used to rev you up, thats where your libido went, that might be a better use of your physical strength and energy, you have physical strength and energy - use it - these inner dialogues walk rampant over us in Mars retrograde. Mars marks brute force of cutting off stuff and it also marks sometime acute diseases that arise from repressed anger. Recognition of both comes over the first half of retrograde journey which we have been on since Mars went retrograde on 30 Oct at 25º37’ Gemini. On surface it might just seem our drive towards the themes of the house where Gemini is placed waned. But thats what it is - a surface event. Deep down a lot more is being thrown at us in form of some pockets of explosive anger or inflammation flaring and blasting on our face like hidden land mines in unexpected manners and they are over issues long gone, forgotten and we thought forgiven but guess not.
As we approach Sun opposition to Mars during this full moon on 8th we come to realisations on what we have been burying deep down and what cannot we contained. Mid Oct 2020 was when you reached that moment in last Mars retrograde cycle but in Aries. This is felt similar but applies to different aspects of our life. This is very much about being vocal about what truly we want, what bothers us, what needs to be spoken out loud, how we use our words for or against ourselves, where misplaced anger is not helping us as this misplaced anger shows up in words which make us lose things we do want in life. Sun Mars opposition normally brings conflict to head and a decision is made even if we do not engage in a physically or verbally explosive situation (highly likely) - this decision in our mind helps us conclude a conflict we have been silently or passive aggressively raging within for many many years. Mars doesn’t go retrograde in a specific sign very often - last retrograde in Gemini was in Dec 2007 - 15 years back and it didn’t even cover these degrees of Gemini though if you do have planets or points within 3-4º of 24/25º Gemini so 20º-30º Gemini you could have some unfinished business from that time coming to life in this cycle.
Mars retrograde cycle also helps us figure out where we are wasting our energy. You could be brave and keep at a situation which isn’t bearing any fruit for way too long without this regular clean up of our physical energy. Waning interest during retrograde cycle from 30 Oct 2022 to 12 Jan 2023 should help us figure out what’s commercially viable, stimulating and enriching to our minds / skills. And where we are wasting our breath. If you have burned yourself out physically in pursuit of something or someone that exhaustion shows up asking - is it worth it ? Our aggressive persistency towards a fruitless goal is usually cut out during this opposition on 8th Dec with the full moon showing clear physical separation and emotional moving on from something that once could have been what we thought our fated path. North Node was in Gemini in 2021 specifically from May 2020 to Jan 2022 and over this period we together initiated a massive reskilling and many new intellectually stimulating paths were opened in multiple directions through accelerated fated events. Around Feb 2021 if you initiated one such interest or pursuit which we thought was your fated path - you might find it coming to conclusion. It doesn’t necessarily mean that path is given up completely but yes there is a clear change in our direction of pursuit from what we started end Feb 2021 - June 2021. Sometimes it just means a project initiated back then comes to logical completion - more likely with the cumulative testosterone waning we might get more real about both the goal and shift our approach to get there.
Normally it would take Mars to go direct and walk this walk again around Feb 2023 for the visible action to be evident on what and how we are moving away from our old modus operandi or project or person or whatever you are concluding, cutting off, moving forward from. But you in your heart and emotions know what is a done deal and needs to happen. The two houses of Gemini and Sagittarius are brought back into balance with this as well. If we have been wasting our energy in minor things, minor fights, minor annoyances, minor projects versus pursuing the higher goal, taking the higher path, looking at the big picture versus getting lost in details - we might be asked to pay attention to be sure that minor isnt taking major time. That you are not just burning fuel, you are also travelling the miles from where you were. That you are not underselling your own drive by aiming too low. Cause it takes the same energy to aim low and live a disappointing sub par result or aim to the best of your capability & try as hell to get it. So if you have lost the big picture in small annoyances, something someone will tap on your shoulder and remind you - Dude you lost the plot. Bring it back into balance and that could mean cleaning out the weeds especially of things that are taking energy of your words and mind. Brain fuel like all fuel is limited, whats exhausting it ? Before we would acknowledge that its not worth the exhaustion - we might be pushed to an exhaustive end by it. The wits end moment usually comes with such full moon, I wont sugar coat it cause Dude you would miss the plot if you blame another person, a thing, an age, a planet, the moon for it. You didn’t want to fight this fight, you wanted to avoid this conversation - tough luck cause its here. So own your brain fuel and if something has been leaking it handle it. Uranus would be making a quincunx with Sun at the time of full moon - this makes this full moon so so restlessness for change. But its like you cannot move forward materially without handling this thing thats messing up your thinking. You would also have a part of you saying why cannot we just go back to old ways cause we knew how money is made there, how relationships are handled, how houses are built - duck, avoid, rinse repeat - hard luck - cant do this time. Why did you have to go through past two years if thats what we were going to do… go back. Compromise. Your vision and thinking needs change. This is a mutable full moon with need for action to change the way forward.
Sometimes you have to try many things to know what fits and sometimes the same goal requires us to change our approach many times to decide the right way to it. Quincunx screams detour and sometimes delays. This delay most likely deals specifically with delay in monetisation of a goal, physical manifestation of a big vision, immigration or nationalisation or travel delays sometimes costing us dearly. Combine a restless moon with a possible announcement of delay. Its like a person stuck on the airport with a family member stuck with them but they do have something they have been avoiding talking of. There is no way they would have been pushed to talk about it unless they were stuck in a room for hours forced to talk due to that delay. The vision you haven’t been able to physically manifest or face delays in - may be there is a version of it thats more for you versus the one you have been running after since Feb 2021. Some things to think about.
This full moon is conjunct fixed star Rigel which is linked to wealth, material achievements - ideas that could create that could be coming to focus with this full moon as you edit your approach to the skills or ideas or goals originated in 2021. Will power and drive towards action is embedded in this star and degree. This is the first actional degree of Gemini which means an idea is acted upon. But possibly with a changed approached with the new found knowledge your detour or delay offered you. With elements of Mars Jupiter - it’s not small action - its massive incredible action sometimes dramatised with the warning of avoiding actions done for sake of vanity. This star and degree also very much emphasises self made wealth and self made people - its considered a beneficial star for enterprise / self established businesses and usually seen emphasised in charts of strong willed people with love of action.
Rigel the fixed star attached to this full moon also points to projects or pursuits linked to education, bringing knowledge to others in some ways which expands people’s perspective. But as this feeling sometimes translates to my perspective is right and yours wrong, conflict over clash of perspectives especially between conventional and unconventional follows. Try to not force your perspective though we would be tempted. This degree sometimes implies that people would try to convert others to their ideas through physical action or dramatising the concept. I understand Mike Pence (16º Gemini Sun) e.g. is on a book tour. As long as that drama isn’t actually repressed anger, aggression or agenda, it could be actually fun to involve people in your idea this way. You can sell anything as long as you are in awareness of the Mars aggressive which invariable comes like hidden land mines to surface not so silently whispering “You are right why back out” leading to conflict. Duality of Gemini allows us to use this well if we are in awareness of this voice. You would be waiting another decade to have a Mars retrograde in Gemini so there is a purpose to this voice, provided we don’t loose the plot by using major energy on small things or conflicts. Find the bigger reason beyond current moment if anger comes up. Rudhyar described this degree as “A passionate response to a deeply felt new experience”. If something has moved us emotionally, we might use this energy to convince others of that experience, cause or project but its not purely facts and figures - there are emotions attached to this pitch, something we feel deeply about.
Mars remains the dominant influence with this moon so our nervous system would be overstimulated, words would be flying faster than we can take back, people would be selling whatever they can sell to other, mechanical breakdowns due to hurry are possible. Rapid mental pictures are stimulative but manage the overstimulation of nervous system and heat/inflammation/flying off the handle aspect of it. Under licensed medical practitioner try to handle flare ups if any of asthma, bronchitis, any mental challenges due to overstimulation of nervous system.
Godspeed !

Energy Update: August 2023
Tumblr media
August is a “6” Universal Month [8 (August) + 7 (2023) = 15 = 1+5 = 6] in a “7” Universal Year. Generally, six energy is focused on the home and creature comforts. Major conflicts of five have passed, and six energy is focused on getting creative and moving from a space of conflict to a space of comfort and agreement. This is somewhat in alignment with the astrological energy of the month (we are coming out of some rough astrological weather) but it’s wise to remember that we are not out of the weeds yet.
The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun and retrograde Venus in Leo, Mercury and Mars in Virgo, Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus, retrograde Saturn and retrograde Neptune in Pisces, and retrograde Pluto in Capricorn. The nodes of the moon have just eeked their way backward into Aries and Libra which was a major change of the guards. We are all a little bit off balance and in need of some adjustment and stabilization. By month’s end, the Sun will have moved into Virgo and Mars will have moved into Libra. That’s it. That’s a very small amount of planetary movement as normally Mercury and Venus keep close time with the Sun. But Venus is already in her retrograde cycle (which won’t end until early September) and Mercury will retrograde before the end of the month. We are deep into retrograde season now – by month’s end we will have eight planets in retrograde and Jupiter isn’t far behind. If it feels like very little in your life is moving forward, know that you are right on time.
The Nitty Gritty
The month begins strong with a full moon in Aquarius and a sweet earth trine between Mars in Virgo and Jupiter in Taurus. Any positive connection between Mars and Jupiter is a time to work for it – to dream big and take the very real and necessary steps to bring your dreams into reality. In the earth signs, this is an especially strong time to do work around material gain – whether it be a fatter paycheck or the acquisition of property. Mars in Virgo understands the need to put one foot in front of the other and Jupiter in Taurus knows the value of quality. All of this combined with the full moon and the energy of the first of the month makes it a great day to set intentions towards building a business and other types of long-term investments into your future. The Aquarius moon is a great innovator, too, so make sure that you are thinking outside the box and including all possibilities.
Things are coming to a completion and you need to accept that. Pluto, our planet of death and transformation, has been moving backward into the tail end of Capricorn (another sign of wealth and the completion of our Earth triumvirate) where it has resided for the last fifteen years. Pluto entered Aquarius for the first time earlier this year which was another big Gong Crash – similar to the switch of the lunar nodes in July. Now, Pluto in Capricorn meets up with the lunar nodes in a cardinal t-square. Something has got to give, an old coat needs to be shed. This is happening collectively as we throw off the shackles of Pluto in Capricorn for the innovative nature of Aquarius but also within our own lives. These past three years have been a lot – we are not who we were before 2020. It is time to adapt and step into the new.
Sort of anyway. It’s more like baby steps. This is inevitably one of those times when you will start to see the division between those who have been doing the work (as this has been a major letting go cycle) and those that are a bit more mired in their own lives. Whatever side of this you are on, try to practice some kindness towards yourself. These major planetary retrogrades are yet another chance to step up and make the changes that you need to move forward.
As we enter the first weekend of August, this may be coming to the forefront. Mercury, our fast-paced messenger, enters its pre-retrograde shadow at 08° Virgo. I will be writing a post about Mercury’s retrograde so I will only touch on it briefly here, but as always there are a few highlights. Mercury will retrograde backward from 21° Virgo to 08° Virgo which means that if you have a personal planet between 08-21°, you will be directly affected by this retrograde. Additionally, it is worth noting that Mercury’s retrograde through Virgo will happen during Virgo season and will coincide with the latter part of Venus’s retrograde through Leo. We need to feel something first (Venus) and then we will need to think it through (Mercury).
The Sun in Leo will square off with Jupiter in Taurus on Sunday 8/6 – this is a day to do less and especially to pay attention to overspending or overdoing it. Both Taurus and Leo are signs that tend towards extravagances in differing ways and Leo is very bogged down by Venus’s retrograde during this time. Say less. Do less. Spend less. Stay the fuck home and thank me later.
There are a lot of undercurrents in the air and a lot of it may just seem like it is up to chance at this time. On Wednesday 8/9, retrograde Venus meets up in a square with Uranus in Taurus for the second time – this time relationships are on the chopping block. All of this Venus’ retrograde can be considered to be break-up weather and Uranus adds an air of unexpectedness to the whole affair. Yes, affairs. Beware of who you are trusting right now, all that glitters is definitely not gold. People will be in their egos, too, so fights will be explosive and unproductive. Our Sun’s trine with Chiron in Aries (exact on Saturday) shows us that all of this hurts. Chiron is always a sign to dig into the pain and to seek the lesson behind the hurt.
Egos abound even stronger on Sunday 8/13 as retrograde Venus meets up with our Sun. This is business as usual, Venus meets up with the Sun twice in every cycle – once during her retrograde and once afterward. Here she enters her “Morning Star” phase – in about a week, she will begin to appear next to the rising sun at dawn. In any case, when our hearts are filled with ego – it is hard to see clearly. Tread with caution here. Indeed, with the Sun and Venus so close together – they both form a trine to Chiron in Aries in quick succession. Altogether this may make for a very painful weekend in which we are reminded of old wounds of the heart.
On Tuesday 9/15, our Sun meets up in a fixed square with Uranus in Taurus – this is also a day to lie low and avoid fireworks of all kinds and heavy machinery if you can. Expect the unexpected. Uranus’s influence can be compared to that of the Tower card in the tarot – it can topple everything with little to no warning. With feeling raw already, this is definitely a time to avoid domestic troubles if at all possible.
And just like that we are at the new moon in Leo which will peak in the early morning hours of Wednesday 8/16 (EST) at 23°. This will likely deepen the energy of the weekend leading up as it falls within the dark of the moon. Pack your patience and your very best methods of self-care during this time. Retrograde Venus will still be closely aligned with our solar and lunar bodies and not holding any punches. This would be a great day to do some baneful (but well-deserved) magic if you dare. Any work with dark deities would also be enhanced by this deep energy.
The rest of the week holds on aspects except those made with the moon which shows that we may need to sit with things for a while.
By the following Monday, 8/21, our Sun will meet up in a trine with our North Node in Aries and a sextile with our South Node in Libra. This is the eclipse zone and one of our first real hits to the “new” doors of fate that Aries and Libra will be opening and closing for us during the upcoming eclipses later this year. It is always wise to keep your eyes wide open when the lunar nodes have been activated – you may get a glimpse into where you should be going, or (sometimes more importantly) where you don’t belong.
Retrograde Venus squares off with Jupiter in Taurus the next day which is another day to lie low and spend less. This is the second pass through this transit during Venus’s retrograde – we may be forced to come face to face with some of our overindulgence during this time. It is wise to remember during aspects like this that astrology is happening for you, not to you. Being called out on your shadow behaviors can feel really harsh but most things get managed better when they are brought into the light.
All eyes are on Virgo on Wednesday 8/23 as the Sun enters the sign of the virgin and Mercury retrogrades at 21° Virgo in the early afternoon (EST). It’s worth noting here that Wednesday is also Mercury’s day and that Mercury is the ruler of the sign Virgo. Mercury retrogrades are rarely as scary as the pulp astrology pages like to claim but they do require adjustments. Mercury rules communication, technology, and travel so we can assume that all three of these domains will be affected but their retrograde cycle. It’s not that you can’t do these things but rather that the results of your actions will be a bit more roundabout than normal. Mercury retrogrades are an important time to pack your patience and be prepared to have to rethink, rework, and reevaluate.
On 8/24, Mars in Virgo meets up in a trine with retrograde Pluto in Capricorn and we may finally get the chance to act on the changes that we have known since day 1 of the month that we needed to make. But, with our other two personal planets in retrograde, the chances won’t come easily. Dig in. Do the hard work.
On 8/27, the Sun in Virgo meets up in opposition with retrograde Saturn in Pisces which will just likely feel hard. Saturn was not particularly comfortable in the ephemeral mutable sign of Pisces to begin with and is further stymied by its retrograde. Virgo wants to put all of the pieces together into a neat whole but there is definitely something missing. Again, patience is called for here.
Additionally, Mars enters Libra, the sign of its exile. Mars needs to move independently but Libra is almost chronically codependant. This won’t play well with our egoic Venus retrograde in Leo and Mercury retrograde is out-to-lunch so talking about it is off the table here, too. Try to avoid important relationship issues at least until Venus has exited her retrograde as they are very unlikely to go well at this time.
Uranus retrogrades at 23° Taurus on 8/28. Outer planet retrogrades are not normally felt on an individual level but they do tend to add a feeling of time ceasing to exist for a few days on either time of their station.
Finally, on 8/30, we have our second full moon of the month at 07° Pisces. We are astrological savvy folks here so we know that this isn’t a true “blue moon” (which requires two moons to be situated IN THE SAME SIGN) but it still packs a double full moon punch for the month and an extra chance to let that shit go. The gods know that we need it.
The Details

Mars Retrograde in Aries September 9th-Nov 13th, 2020
On September 9th, Mars officially retrogrades in Aries at the 28.08 degree and will stay in this energy until November 13th. We will not see another Mars Retrograde until the year 2022 starting October 30th in the sign of Gemini.
What exactly is Mars Retrograde? During this time, Mars gives off the illusion that it is moving backwards or slowing down (although it really isn’t). The keyword is illusion as illusions as illusions are meant to be looked at symbolically vs literally. During the time of Mars retrograding, we are to “slow down” and “move backwards” when it comes to our actions aka we are to reflect on our actions and our past actions. What can we improve? How can we switch up our approach to do things more efficiently? This is the time to reassess what is working and what isn’t working when it comes to our actions. This is not the time to act on impulse, this is the time to tame our instincts because not always is an instinct rooted in truth sometimes instincts are rooted in trauma. This is also the time where Mars energy will be shifted inwards vs outwards. Mars becomes more “yin” or passive vs “yang” or direct. This is the time to take accountability for your actions. During this time you may notice that you direct feelings of resentment, tension, aggression, etc towards yourself. Please be sure to take it easy, especially as Mars is in Aries. Learn how to healthily channel and transmute your anger so that you are not inflicting harm on yourself. This period doesn’t mean that you should suppress your “nature”. This simply is a time to think before you react.
The last time Mars retrograded was June-August of 2018 in the sign of Aquarius. During the time of Mars retrograding in Aquarius/Capricorn, this was the time of resisting situations where we felt we couldn’t be in control of our lives, revisiting old friendships/connections, and displaying detached energy. We may have lost interest in the things we normally desire or lost faith in our goals. We had to question the way we handled matters surrounding friends, career, rules, authority, business, electronics, etc. Think back to what happened during that time of your life and expect these things to finally complete their cycle. This current Mars retrograde will be the finally reassessment before the burst of vitality we will begin to feel again.
Mars retrograding in Aries (its natural sign) starting 9/9 asks that we become patient with our actions, instincts, aggression, + impulses. With this starting during Virgo season, we are being asked to reconsider if our actions are organized and structured in a healthy manner to obtain our goals in an efficient way. We are being asked to slow down so that we do not negatively affect our health. We are being asked to heal (especially from mother wounds/family issues/self identity issues) so that we do not continue climbing a mountain with broken legs to the point where the damage becomes irreversible. This is also the time where our fears or “fight or flight” reactions will be triggered so that we can see what is causing these triggers + how to heal them. With Mars retrograding in Aries at the 28th degree, this is the time to slow down your movement so that you won’t miss important downloads the universe wants to send to you. Also be careful with signing contracts during this time. Take the time to carefully read them. Marriages may be delayed.
September 9th also happens to be the amplification of the “9” energy as the date is 9/9. 9 symbolizes the ending right before the new beginning. 9 is also ruled by Mars (the irony lol). This is the time to recharge ourselves so that we have enough energy once this is over to rebuild much needed new systems/structures.
Check to see where Aries 28 degrees is located in your chart. This is the area of your life that will be affected by this retrograde the most. Remember it is a retrograde so the degrees will be going backwards.

April 2024 Important Dates
Tumblr media
AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's April forecast, hosted by Chris Brennan and Diana Rose Harper (Austin is away on paternity leave). This is one of the most astrologically active months in the year. In addition to planetary movements, there's a comet that will be visible soon in the night sky and a nova.
We're going into the month right off the tail of a Libra lunar eclipse on March 25th. We're in "eclipse season," the time between eclipses, with much activity to report. Starting off, Baltimore's Key Bridge collapsed after a container ship crashed into it, which Austin called last forecast when he said that Mars's entry into Pisces (approaching a conjunction to Saturn) would involve a sudden halt in maritime trade. Astrologically it's quite on the nose, with a Libra (associated with trade/commerce) moon conjunct the South Node (symbolizing lack and decrease). We even have a chart for the opening of this bridge: it was an exact Mars return for this bridge, as well as its Uranus opposition and nodal opposition. Also on the Libra eclipse was the UN Security Council's vote for a ceasefire in Gaza. The April 8th eclipse will show us whether this resolution is successful, and a final Libra eclipse in October will tie these events together.
In celebrity news, we had obviously doctored photos of Kate Middleton prompting increasingly wild speculation on what the British royal family was hiding, culminating in Kate announcing her cancer diagnosis & chemotherapy plans on the March 22nd Venus(women, exalted in Pisces = royalty)-Saturn (slow illnesses) conjunction. She was also born on a lunar eclipse & announced this right before one. Just 3 days after the eclipse, on March 28th, Sam Bankman-Fried of FTX was sentenced to 25 years in prison, the newest development in a story that began on an eclipse when BitCoin crashed and revealed his role in one of the biggest instances of financial fraud in US history.
In smaller news, a nova in the T Coronae Borealis system will be visible as a new star in the night sky this year. This nova is visible every 76 years or so (the last time was 1946), and has been observed as far back as the Middle Ages. Add this to the eclipses and the comet, and Chris hasn't seen such an astrological buildup since forecasting 2020. As the eclipse hit his 3rd house Donald Trump published a book combining the Bible and the US Constitution, while in other news an orca was stranded in British Columbia, another dolphin & orca-related development in the (Mars-)Saturn in Pisces in cycle and Arizona announced Pluto as their state planet.
April Overview: with significant activity in Pisces, Aries, and Taurus simultaneously, we'll be getting hard aspects to every modality (and trines to every element)--everyone will be getting hit with some kind of change (but will have opportunities for growth as well). Chris makes a distinction between the challenging first half of the month, and a second half which will see more clarity.
April 1st - Mercury stations retrograde By time of posting this retrograde is in full swing: disruptions in communication, plans, travel and technology. Diana describes this as especially frustrating in Aries, trying to go one way but some huge miscommunication gets in the way. We may have to walk back on words spoken in anger and renegotiate situations where we identified the wrong target as our enemy. With the eclipse's ruler Mars conjoining Saturn on the 10th, anyone who travels for the eclipse and hangs around for a few days may run into blockages, likely due to rain and floods. Other general Mercury retrograde significations: people come back into your life, unfinished projects become relevant again, and situations from the past resurface. For example, Sagittarius risings often see the "duderang" effect where male lovers come back into their lives, as Mercury rules their Gemini 7th house. Mercury rx also brings delays and slowdowns, and is generally a good time for introspection and "emotional alchemy."
April 3rd - Venus conjoins Neptune This occurs right as she leaves the sign of Pisces. Venus-Neptune keywords: dreamy, fantastical, imaginative (especially with art), compassionate, and opportunities to find new avenues of enjoyment and pleasure. Saturn's copresence in Pisces can bring us some grounding and reality. This can also bring unclear boundaries, uncertain relationships, and idealizing one's lover--like using the soft lens. In events, AI images and videos and toxic synthetic dyes also fall under Venus-Neptune. Is the siren's call too good to be true?
April 4th - Venus enters Aries Chris hopes that Venus's copresence to the eclipse will mitigate some of its effects, but on the flipside this means she's left Mars and Saturn alone with each other in the Pisces chart of our house.
April 8th - Total Solar Eclipse in Aries This eclipse will be visible over much of the (particularly eastern) continental US:
Tumblr media
Diana calls it a chiron eclipse, so here's the chart with chiron:
Tumblr media
The Moon will eclipse the Sun at 19 Aries, which is where Chiron will be as well. Mythologically, Hercules brings back the head (North Node, Aries) of the hydra to Chiron, whose poison causes him incredible pain because he is immortal and cannot die from it. He eventually trades his immortality for Prometheus and Zeus puts him in the heavens as a constellation. Narratively, eclipses invert what we expect: it becomes dark in the middle of the day! Prominent people fall suddenly from grace and new rulers skyrocket to power during eclipses. Because the eclipse occurs in the sign of the Sun's exaltation, leaders and heads of state/organization/etc will be especially affected. A similar Chiron-influenced Aries solar eclipse occurred in 1968 when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated. Nelson Mandela was sent to jail under an eclipse, but was also freed under another eclipse and elected to office under yet another eclipse.
For individuals, make note of what house this occurs in for you; this will be the end of one chapter and the opening of a new one in this area of life. Anything close to 19° of Aries will definitely feel it, as will any placements at that degree of Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn (hard aspects to the cardinal signs), while 19 Leo and Sagittarius (trine to fire signs) may feel some support. Generally, this series of events in Aries-Libra began a year ago, and will have its final eclipse on this axis in March of 2025.
This eclipse is ruled by a Mars (♓) who's just about conjunct with Saturn (♓), grinding things to a halt. Whatever's happening in the Aries and Pisces place is going to take some extra time. Other keywords: the end of a life cycle, matters of great importance & turning points in world history, major disasters as well as scientific discoveries. Eclipses highlight just how much is out of our control, like being on a teacup ride that's going too fast and being unable to stop unless something hits you. 6 months later, we'll get an eclipse that connects to some of these events:
Tumblr media
Diana also points out that there will be an influx of tourists to rural areas of the US, advising travelers to stay courteous and noting that many local municipalities advise residents to stock up on basic supplies so they won't be lacking when a small area is flooded with new people & their needs. Generally, the eclipse will be a very creepy experience, with the Sun going completely dark, colors becoming muted, and stars may even be visible--some cultures have warnings against going outside during eclipses. Back to metaphors, Chris points out that the small seeds of much larger events are often planted during eclipses. Sometimes you don't know until later just how important this obscured implantation is because, like the Sun, our vision is occulted. Take notes, even of subtle things.
April 10th - Mars conjunct Saturn in Pisces We expect the two malefics to bring us challenges: their conjunctions in late Capricorn & early Aquarius heralded the first COVID lockdowns, and other hard aspects brought new variants and similar pandemic news. In 2022 a Mars-Saturn conjunction occurred with an epidemic of ebola. However, note that these are all airborne viruses, and these movements occurred with Saturn in the air sign of Aquarius. What will this look like in Pisces, a water sign? Chris predicts that existing Saturn-Pisces issues with water pollution and maritime trade/travel will have destructive moments as Mars comes in, while Diana thinks about water as a vector of disease, such as cholera & sewage treatment. Now that deep permafrost is melting due to climate change, we may also see new pathogens or substances released, as well as complications from farm water runoff. We'll definitely see the effects of this Baltimore bridge collapse, and, with the outbreak of dengue fever in Latin America, may see developments around diseases borne of insect bites. We may also hear about the ill effects of microplastics, lead, and asbestos as a result of this conjunction. More generally: pollution, ocean, liquids, extremes of hot and cold, feelings of constraint (and literal constraint), and spiritual or emotional burnout. Pisces is a sign of inescapable enmeshment with each other, so we'll likely deal with compassion fatigue and emotional isolation (especially involving social media). Questions of whether or not something is "real" remain relevant as ever.
On the positive side, Mars-Saturn brings discipline and self-control. Sometimes Mars and Saturn can temper each other to give us self-sustaining focus. We can combine hard-won wisdom with the drive we need to achieve it, like a martial arts training montage. Do we have the belief and conviction to achieve mastery? With determination we can reach heights we once only imagined. There's also stamina, resilience, and rigidity. Overlapping with the Mercury retrograde, we can also see delays and obstructions. If there are boundaries you've been meaning to enact, now is the time. We can see potential pitfalls, but beware of pessimism and not believing in yourself. Resentment and pent-up anger can also come into play as Mars's impulse butts up against Saturn's inaction, but incremental progress adds up.
April 11th - Sun conjunct retrograde Mercury (Cazimi) This marks a turning point in the retrograde. Diana uses a spelunking metaphor: during the retrograde we're diving into the cave, and at the cazimi we've found our treasure...but we still have to make our way back out. Our personal eclipse stories may become clearer during this time as well.
April 19th - Sun enters Taurus, Retrograde Mercury conjunct Venus Venus will help sweeten communications during the last week of Mercury's regression.
April 20th - Jupiter conjunct Uranus This brings freedom, liberation, and sudden rapid growth--completely different from the Mars-Saturn activity earlier this month. This may also set us up for the Jupiter-Mars conjunction later this summer. The Uranus in Taurus story has brought labor organizing and unions to prominence, so expect those stories to intensify during this conjunction. General keywords: technological breakthroughs and scientific discoveries, sudden revelations and growth, revolutions, rupture, and unexpected shifts. This conjunction takes place every 14 years, so Chris expects new discoveries, optimism and "quantum leaps" or new precedents in some fields. In Taurus this is related to food and agriculture--in addition to new technologies we'll likely see further developments with the farmer's protests in India and Europe. Finance and money is another Taurus signification, so disruptions in banks & questions about decentralizing currency may arise. Freedom, rebellion, and general eccentricity become important. We'll feel like anything is possible, but in disregarding the rules and refusing to compromise we may make rash decisions.
The comet Pons-Brooks may also start to become visible during this time. It comes by about every 80 years and is named for its 18th century discoverers. Ancient literature on comets is similar to that of eclipse: an ominous phenomenon heralding the deaths of rulers and falls of kingdoms. However, they note the color and appearance as indicating some positive effects when associated with Jupiter, and the planets whose path it crosses are relevant as well. Pons-Brooks passes closely by the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction, putting an exclamation point on the planetary significations.
April 23rd - Scorpio Full Moon
Tumblr media
We're finally out of eclipse season, so things are starting to calm down. However, this lunation (04♏) squares Pluto (02♒), bringing some conflict in. It'll be stabilizing, but not necessarily comforting. Acceptance is bittersweet medicine. The full moon illuminates the deep transformative experiences Pluto brings to the early degrees of fixed signs in our charts. We're really getting to the bedrock of things. When Venus enters Taurus she'll square Pluto, and Mars will trine Pluto when he enters Aries. With those personal planets in domicile, it'll feel like coming home, but home is a little different. Pluto will retrograde soon and Chris predicts this station will bring major events in AI and related technologies. Mars is also quickly nearing his conjunction with Neptune, bringing the weaponization of these technologies.
April 25th - Mercury stations direct
April 28th - Mars conjunct Neptune (typo in image) Aside from weaponization of AI and social media, Mars-Neptune also connotes the manipulation of reality for political purposes. Revealing that a shocking news story was actually false wont necessarily diffuse the feelings it arose. Even if it didn't happen, you may still hold resentment towards the wrong target. Think the "fog of war" or shadowboxing. Other keywords include conflicts in or about water, idealism & ideologically-charged conflicts, confusion, acid, corrosion, lethargy, sapped vitality, and unnecessary martyrdom.
April 29th - Venus enters Taurus She immediately squares Pluto. Venus in domicile brings us to the election for the month:
April 29th - Selected auspicious election (not pictured)
Tumblr media
Set the chart for about 12:55PM local time, which gets you Leo rising with the Ascendant ruler Sun in the 10th whole sign house in Taurus, where it's copresent with Jupiter, Uranus, and Venus. This chart is good for 10th house matters like career, reputation, social standing, overall life direction and accomplishing goals. The Moon is in Capricorn, applying to a trine with Jupiter, bringing support. Mercury has stationed direct, bringing us away from some of the delays and issues we experienced earlier. Even the Mars-Saturn conjunction is about as far away as we can get, and a day chart Jupiter conjunct Uranus brings creativity to our efforts. Diana associates the 10th house with the gestating parent and thus recommends doing something nice for your mom now.
April 30th - Mars enters Aries Entering firey and decisive Aries, Mars is no longer encumbered by slow Saturn and diffuse Neptune. This complete chapter change comes with a sextile to Pluto--the tone shift will feel like getting our oxygen back. This opens us up for a lot of quick movements through Aries and Gemini in May.

Note
Hi, who do you think will be next american president? also, do you think people will accept the results?
Tumblr media
The answer to your first question might depend on your definition of "next."
Are you assuming that Joe Biden makes it to 20 January 2025 as president? I don't. I think it's highly likely he gets 25th Amendment-ed this fall.
However, based on the 2021 Inauguration chart for the Biden administration--which lasts from Biden's inauguration until the next new president or next inauguration four years later--it does not appear that Kamala will succeed him as president. This is why I suspect Kamala is going to get a new job in a different branch of government.
Could Kamala's new job be controversial? Probably. Would some people be upset about it? Probably. But it also looks like she won't be doing the oath of office at noon on 20 January 2025 because the person who does will die in office.
As for the election results, I think most people won't have a problem. Trump may scream & whine about losing, but I think this election will be decided by a bigger margin than either the 2016 or 2020 elections. Just a guess, but I think that's the likely result. Also, I expect the Republicans to take the Senate, which will give them full control of Congress. There will be less motivation for the craziness that happened after the 2020 elections.
Also, astrologically, you don't have something like Mercury retrograde happening around the election. Mercury goes retrograde in late November, which is weeks after the election, and Mars goes retrograde in early December, which is almost a month later.
I think there are a lot of professional astrologers flying blind at this point because they're not looking at the right people and details. Trump's chart isn't super strong and is actually weaker than it was in 2020, so definitely not a repeat of what happened the last time around.

Outer Planets Astrology Report 17 July 2023
Tumblr media
Astrologically, it’s a big week. I like doing dwarf planet summaries but the thing with this week is today’s New Moon is cool, but all the real excitement is on Sunday, the other end of the week. So here’s a summary of what’s going on astrologically past Neptune.
This stuff is based on my own limited experience and the research that's been done on these planets so far. The dwarf planets have strange new energies and this is part of my trying to work with them. we learn abut them together!
Monday
Sun and Moon in Cancer, square Eris. Off by just 0°20 at time of new moon. Eris holding its ground squared to a Sun and Moon that are nested and brooding, not ready to create and severely agitated by other nasty aspects going on. This makes me think of how they say animals are at their most dangerous when something is going to be born. It’s a bad time to pick apart someone’s project, or have someone pick apart yours. Stay cool and remember this is all energy and will pass. I guess.
Thursday
Gonggong is a planet that gets associated with turning tables and big shifts, Gonggong in Pisces seems to be getting mostly felt in climate. Astrologers who study it associate it with storms and flooding. On Thursday, it’s opposing Mars. So is Saturn. In fact Saturn and Pisces are conjunct and will come into proper conjunction during Saturn’s retrograde.
Someone described Saturn in Pisces as the weight of the ocean, and Mars in Virgo as the precision of a tiny hole. In this analogy, Gonggong is the ensuing implosion. It creates a potential for power and precision to lead to something destructive. Or, just, anything. My big fear with the Mars-Saturn opposition is feeling blocked - wanting to get going but not being able to. Gonggong is offering an alternative - getting unblocked. Feeling something. Doing something. It may not be the right thing, but it might be. In a week of tense aspects, maybe it’s good to have the potential to snap. Maybe that’s how we get shit done.
Saturday
Eris is at 25°15 of Aries all week and has been since Wednesday 12 July. It goes into retrograde on Saturday but will be stationed at 25°15 Aries until 1 August. Here’s the weird thing. This is breaking new ground time for Eris. Eris spends all but four months a year covering ground that it covered in the last retrograde and will cover again in the next. Between 22 May and 22 July Eris has been breaking new ground. This week, Eris is holding the new ground and will be defending it until a final retreat back into more familiar territory in 22 September. To me, this feels powerful and productive. Maybe a little unstable but Eris is a very fixed planet. It advances when it’s slowest.
Sunday
Mercury and Lilith will conjunct in Leo Trine to Eris. Mercury and Lilith in Leo seem to me to be pretty primed to cause a scene, especially after a week of quite tense and intense harsh aspects. Mercury and Lilith in Leo together sounds like drama, but Eris is what gives it staying power. Regular bickering and drama happens all the time, but occasionally someone says or does something that hits an actual point, and changes something. If things blow up, if there are fights and arguments, Eris could be the possibility of landing a blow that lasts. This could be good. It could also be bad. Have you ever said something in the heat of the moment you can't take back? The Eris trine means you can land that extra punch. Make sure you genuinely want to do that before you do.
Sedna is sextile the Sun as it enters Leo and for now I’m taking this to mean that early parts of a sign are when we can express trauma and think about spiritual development. We’re seeing this in slow motion in Sedna’s trine to Pluto where 2008 to 2020 is being rehashed in this latter day period of Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto is opposing the Sun as it enters Leo so we could see Sedna as a softening part of that experience - yes you might have your ego bruised, but that can be an opportunity for growth. Yes you might hurt someone else, but… you might enjoy doing it? Honestly, Sunday is a day for some harshness. Maybe you can tap into Sedna to avoid causing pain. Got to be worth a try.
Venus goes retrograde 1°45 from a square with Sedna. Neptune is also still sextile with Sedna and in retrograde. I kind of like how recently the two "romantic" planets were coming towards aspects with Sedna, then pulled back into retrograde. Sedna is a wild water goddess, who has loved and been hurt. The Square with Venus in Leo feels to me like a challenge to explore our values - why do we hold them? Do they matter? Are they real? We may be able to have out these issues in the retrograde, or it may wait a few months. The Sextile with Neptune is deeper: a challenge to re-examine our ideals. And this sextile won’t go exact till 2025.
I feel like we’re in a decade of clashing ideologies and the Sedna-Neptune Sextile is an opportunity to re-examine. Maybe we can use this to de-radicalise people who dove off the deep end into hate but this isn't a fast process. Ideals don’t change when we win arguments, they change when people are ready to change. The sextile will be with us till 2026 and will still be felt for years to come. Be prepared for this to be long work
